Noella blushed a bit at his comment about how he knew she thought he was cute. Was she really that easy to read? Or did she honestly just have it pretty much plastered on her forehead. “W-What about me? Am I cute?” She had to know also. She had been hurt before and she didn’t want to be hurt again, she didn’t want a repeat. Emotionally she couldn’t live through that again. Well she might have been a bit over dramatic, but she was crushed when a guy she thought liked her, totally blew her off for someone else, because she wouldn’t sleep with him, it sucked to have your trust just thrown right back at you.
Her body shifted a little bit on his lap and her face was a bright pink, honestly if she could she would have just fallen down on his chest and taken a nap, his skin was that soft. Her lips turned into a little pout though. “Not after we kisss… and you’re totally vain. We should dip you in the sea to wash it all away.” She grinned at him and blushed at their sudden kiss, it was quickly over. Too quick for Noella’s liking, so she leaned back down and kissed him again, the third time this was. Her arms moved around his neck again because he had sat up, and her legs pushed themselves back behind him. She pulled away soon after and smiled at him, sticking her tongue out. She loved his kisses, they were so soft and warm and right. They weren’t forceful or under bearing.
Her eyes blinked a little bit at the sea glass in her hands and she quickly shook her head. “It’s really yours! I’m just going to make a necklace for you okay?” She said and held it close to her heart a large smile was on her lips right now, that was until he asked her a question she thought she would never hear in a million years from him. Go out? Her?! Her face turned a dark red and she thought for a moment, this wasn’t a joke right? Now some sick twisted game he was playing with her? No, he wasn’t kidding. A large smile passed her face and she stuck her tongue out playfully. “Thought we already went out?” She teased and hugged him tightly, nodding slowly. “Yes, Ryland… I’d love… to go out with you.”

[Now he'll have to be nice and share his sour patch kids. Poor Ry!]
“W-What about me? Am I cute?”
Ryland pretended to think about her question, although he already knew the answer. It was already pretty obvious before either had asked about the opinion, that they thought something positive about one another. After a moment he smiled and answered.
“Well, maybe cute isn’t the word for it. How about gorgeous, though?”
He gave her the most shocked look he could manage when she called him really vain. Again. It was fake, of course, as usual. If they hung out enough, she’d eventually catch on to them. It was a wonder people didn’t think half of his emotions were fake. But it was only acting; pretending. But he doubted she actually thought he was that vain. It was hard for him not to feel that way a little, though, after finding out she thought he was cute.
“If I hadn’t done it then, I might not have gotten the chance to do it at all. And I don’t think I’m that vain,” he teased. “I’m definitely not getting back in the water today.”
It was getting too cold for that. After he had kissed her and pulled away, he was being pulled into another. Well if she liked them that much, he wasn’t going to complain. He returned it, but didn’t have time to do much else as she pulled away. Ry watched as she took the sea glass and reminded him that it was actually his.
“I know. That’s what I meant.” Sort of. “You can hang onto it until you get the necklace made.”
There was only a small pause while she thought about what he had asked. He couldn’t tell what she was thinking about exactly: whether she liked him enough for that, whether she had time for a boyfriend, could he really like her after only knowing her that long? There were so many things she could be thinking about/considering, that it was almost scary. But luckily he wasn’t left waiting too long. The smile on her face was evident and he quickly returned it.
“Thought we already went out?”
“That was a lunch date as friends. It doesn’t really count,” he countered, hugging her back.
Ry was excited when she said yes. He hadn’t exactly thought about what he would say if she had said no. Something that wouldn’t hurt her feelings, probably, but without thinking it over, he might have just blurted something out. That wouldn’t have been such a good idea. He was reluctant to pull away from the hug; she was actually warm, despite her clothes being damp.
“Really? That’s great,” he said when he did pull away. “So, not to rush our time out here or anything, but can we go somewhere warmer now?”

Oh, lord. He was standing there with a thinking face, did it really take much to think about?! Maybe it did… did she had something gross on her face? She let out a small whine, and then huffed at him when he said she wasn’t cute, but gorgeous. “Way to make me worry!” She exclaimed and gently poked his cheek with her index finger. He was silly, really silly and sweet all at the same time. She had happy, honestly she hadn’t been so happy to express herself before, in fear that she could be teased and made fun of like before. Ryland seemed to make sure that wasn’t going to happen again, she felt safer on the inside.
Her eyes lit up and she beamed at him and held the blue sea glass close to her, she was going to work on it all night and show him tomorrow! She already had the things she needed so she wasn’t worried about that in the least. “I hope you like it when I’m finished…. I made a necklace for a guy once and he said it was stupid.” Her smile was still there, but she seemed to grow a lot sadder, it almost stung when she thought about her old crush, the guy who completely turned her into the shy little doll. It hurt to think about him and to realize she wasted her time on him. That was in the past now! She shook her head and bit her lower lip, secretly wishing she didn’t show that just now. Ryland was here and he was real, that’s what mattered to her most of all.
“So now I have to worry about making myself extra pretty just for you?” She teased and stuck her tongue out, that really was a concern. She had already been nervous going out as just friends and now that he was her boyfriend (only claimed so far) Maybe it a little bit worse. She’d get over it though. Soon a wave of cold wind came over her and she shivered, she had forgotten being cold since she was in the other male’s arms. Crap, he was right. “Yeah, let’s go, before we turn into bird and horse popsicles!” Her hand slowly reached out and took his, the only source of warm she had at the moment, quickly pulling him back to her bag she offered him his clothes, well great, he had dry clothes he could put on but not her, her dress was that really cold and not so much wet damp, it still sucked though.

(So that she can take it from him when he says something mean? :P I figured they could walk back or something until I'm in the mood to start another thread.)
Ryland laughed when she whined and huffed at his thinking and finally telling her she was gorgeous. He stopped laughing after a moment and shrugged, as if he hadn't done anything wrong. Or at least as if he didn't think he had done anything wrong.
"Don't tell me you don't know how gorgeous you are. You weren't worried were you?"
Well, the look on her face had told him she was. Or maybe she knew she was, but was afraid that he would still say she wasn't. But that wasn't really possible, was it? After all, they had already kissed and he had asked her out. If he didn't like her, looks and personality all, he wouldn't have asked. But he guessed he might have been worried if she had done the same thing to him as he had just done to her.
“I hope you like it when I’m finished…. I made a necklace for a guy once and he said it was stupid.”
"He said it was stupid? Why would anybody say something like that? I think it's cute and thoughtful."
Nobody had ever offered to make him a necklace before, so he had been shocked when she offered to. Ryland didn't understand people who were mean like that. Even if he hadn't wanted one, he would have said yes anyways to keep from being mean. Maybe that was why she had hesitated to ask him if he wanted her to make him one. Ryland laughed when she asked if she would have to make herself look extra pretty for him.
"Only if you wanted. You don't have to dress up for everything we do. Just do whatever is comfortable for you."
That wasn't to say that he didn't like when girls dressed up for him. But he didn't think it was necessary for them to get dressed up for everything. After all, she was wearing a nice dress, and all he was wearing was a regular t-shirt and jeans. He would probably feel like he needed to wear something even nicer than that if she dressed up for everything.
"I think I would taste pretty good as a Popsicle," he teased, letting her take him by the hand and following her over to their things.
He started to say he thought she would taste pretty good as one too, but was afraid she would take that as perverted and maybe too much right now. Which, he hadn't meant it that way, but it was safer to refrain from saying it. Unless she said something about it first. He took his clothes from her and got dressed, quickly welcoming the warmth. It wasn't actually that cold outside once he got something warm on.
"Do you want to stop by your room so you can change into something warm?"
