Adagio sighed as she dumped her backpack on the ground in front of the large fountain and plopped down lazily beside it.
Today was her lazy day, and her appearance proved it. She was wearing her favorite blue high stops with moons and stars on it, a pair of knee length jeans, and her grey baseball tee with a Tardis in the middle with the text “Doctor Who” on the front and “Allons-y” on the back. Her hair was left lose for once, and tucked safely behind her ears so that it would not fall into her face.
Rummaging through her bag, she pulled out a peach, a plastic knife in a little zip-lock bag, and a sanitizing napkin. Anyone watching would probably think she looked strange, but she could really care less. The day was nice, and all she wanted to do was laze about and maybe talk to a few people.
“Bored! Bored bored bored boooorrrrreeeed!”
Laying down on her back on the ground and propping her feet up on the fountain, Adagio began to peel her peach carefully and methodically before taking bites out of the exposed fruit.
“Maybe, if I’m lucky, someone I know will come and help me with my boredom. I could always just go inside and watch some tv though. Nah, I’m in the mood to talk, why does everyone have to be so busy when I’m in a talkative mood?”
Sighing loudly Adagio continued to peel her fruit before squirming a bit and beginning to sing an Icelandic song that she had on her music player. In all truth, she could take her music player out of her bag and listen to it if she was really compelled to, but she did not want to get her stuff sticky. It was bad enough that her hands were getting sticky eating her peach, she could only shiver imagining all of her stuff getting sticky too.
“I don’t think I have enough sanitizing napkins to clean up all that mess.”
Taking a deep breath, Adagio stopped singing and lifted her legs slightly so she could see her tattoos. Some people would probably think it was stupid that she had two tattoos already at the age of seventeen, but she really really liked them. Placing them back down, she chuckled slightly remembering when she first got the tattoos. The guy who gave her her Seal of Rassilon tattoo gave her a funny look when she explained what it was, and remembering his face gave her the giggles.
Taking another bite of her peach, Adagio hummed her Icelandic song and wondered how long it would take for someone she knew to pass by.

Traveled through time to see ya, hoping to find you on the other side. Looking for something inside you, so hard to find in the dark of night.
Sieffre jogged along the grass with his music pounding through his ever present headphones. Already he seemed to be perfectly relaxed, rather than usual where he was amped up and ready to just run away, just merely running for the sake of doing something rather than sitting down and doing nothing in particular. Well aside from the homework that was calling from his backpack.
All you need is something new, but you're to blind to follow through.
The sleeves of his black dress shirt had been rolled back, showing off that strange cryptic tattoo on his right arm, and a few random plain silver looking bangles. A pair of black jeans, strangely faded around thick lines in some type of bird design, just slightly too long for him but not quiet enough for him to be tripping over them. Just like the rest of his clothing the shoes were surprisingly bland too, just plain black runners. About the only abnormal part of his outfit, for him at any time, was a belt with small silver studs in it.
Chasing a Dark Star for you, moving through black holes to break though. White noise on the radio, satellites spinning out of control, 'cause I'm chasing a Dark Star for you.
He ducked suddenly, a bird flying darting across his sight, going from relaxed to tense in only a few seconds. Remaining crouched he watched the bird land in a tree, a soft sigh escaping his lips at that, closing his eyes for a few moments he took a deep breath. "Just a bird... No need to treat it like the coming of the devil..."
With a sigh he pushed his headphones off of his ears and turned off the music. A quick glanced showed him that not many people were really around, a girl who was pretty sure was in the same grade as he was, but otherwise no one. No one around to see how jumpy he could be and hopefully he could just pretend that he hadn't been scared of a bird.
"Here seems as good of a spot as any..." He came up to the side of the fountain as well, carefully taking his backpack off and setting it down beside it. Sieffre always found himself unsettled about being outside now. Too much for him to take in and deal with and almost as big of a fear for him as enclosed spaces. Another deep breath, trying to keep calm now that he had removed the headphone and the music he looked at the girl. "Hi there.
With his rather lackluster hello done he settled down with his back against the fountain and pulled out a notebook. Ready to start filling out a new spot for the person sitting not too far away from him.

Adagio was so rapped up in her little world that when she suddenly heard someone talking to her her heart began to race and she accidentally dropped the remainder of her peach. Heart pounding, she turned her gaze up to the boy sitting not far from her before turning her gaze longingly at the half of a peach that was now so covered in dirt that it would be useless to try to eat it. If it was simply something she could just brush off, she would continue eating the fruit, but this time, there was nothing that could be done.
“Aw man~!”
Rolling on her side and reaching as far as she could, Adagio grasped the peach gingerly before sitting up and making sure no one was in her way before chucking it as far as she could. After she heard the resounding thump, she gave one last longing look in the direction that she threw her fruit before looking back at the boy. As she looked at him curiously, she tilted her head and brushed the dust off of herself carefully before turning slightly so that she was still facing him, but her back was placed comfortably against the wall.
He looked vaguely familiar, he was probably in one of her classes, but she could not really place him. Maybe if she paid better attention to all the things around her she would not have so many problems.
“A-ah! Bonjour!”
Fidgeting quickly for her sanitation napkin, she ripped the packet that it was in open before wiping her hands and then placing it with her plastic knife into her zip-lock baggy. After that, she picked up her backpack and stuffed the zip-lock baggy into a special pocket with a bunch of other sanitation napkin packets.
“I mean hello haha! Sorry ‘bout that, it’s a bad habit of mine.”
Reaching out her hand carefully, Adagio gave the boy one of her nicest smiles in hopes that she did not make too much of a fool of herself.
“My names Adagio Beckett, I think we may have some classes together, but I’m so bad at remembering faces and names that we’ve probably met before and I just forgot.”
At this she had to blush slightly, it was true though, her memory was only good for remembering music, languages, and other facts like that. For some reason she was no good at remembering faces and names.

He tensed when she dropped the fruit, shrinking back just slightly at the sound of her voice, but slowly relaxing as she just picked up the piece of fruit and tossed it away from them. Shifting slightly he dug in to his open backpack and pulled out a Ziploc bag filled with Red Grapes that had already been taken off of the stem, moisture clinging to the inside of the bag showing that they had been washed before he had stuck them in there. He set them down between the two of them, so she wouldn't have to get too close to him in order to grab them. "Here..."
Looking at her there was still that sense of knowing, but not quite, who exactly she was. And for that fact alone he knew that she wasn't in any of his books so he probably hadn't ever met her face to face before. While she was talked, and fiddled around with her own things, he wrote some notes. Stopping as soon as she had said her name as the strange obsessive part of his mind needed at least that before he could even think of talking to her as a regular person. Or at least as close to regular as a near-monosyllabic person ever really got.
"Sieffre De Sauveterre." He mutters it as he sticks the book back in to his bag, making a mental note to try and finish it later. He took a moment to actually reach out and take her hand in a hand shake, a bit of a brief one, before shifting his position in an effort to get comfortable and keep her with in his line of sight with out being too terribly obvious about his obsessive study of her personal characteristics. "It happens."
He wasn't insulted at the thought of someone not remembering him, not really, he was pretty easy to forget after all. Not talking much or calling much attention to himself it was easy enough to be forgotten with so many other people who were very vibrant and full of life. Sieffre didn't mind not having many people really know him anyways. Absently he tapped his fingers against his leg, a soft beat as well as a very obvious sign of nervousness. Sieffre could only hope that Adagio was the sort who would be able to talk with out much feed back from him.

After shaking his hand lightly, Adagio was surprised that the boy would offer her grapes. For a moment she mentally battled with herself to accept, but the side of her that wanted them won out simply because she could rarely ever refuse such a tasty treat.
“A pleasure to meetcha’ Sieffre. Are you sure I can have some of these? I would hate to intrude.”
Picking up the bag gingerly, Adagio looked at it momentarily before looking up at Sieffre. He had to be a good five or six inches taller than her, and so she did not exactly have to crane her neck to look into his eyes, but she did have to look a bit higher than she did. It was important for her to look into his eyes so she could be sure that he was okay with sharing.
When she was sufficiently placated that it would be okay for her to have some grapes, Adagio stuck her hand in and pulled out an even six before placing the bag back down closer to Sieffre. She had of course noticed that he seemed to be studying her carefully, but she mentally shrugged it off knowing that she would probably look at someone who was dressed like her the same way. Vaguely she wondered if her hair looked really messy, so with the hand that was not full of grapes, she brushed her hair with her fingers and then made sure that it was securely behind her ears.
“If I’m interrupting your work, I can leave you alone for a little bit.”
She had noticed that he had been writing some things down before earlier, and figured that he had probably stopped because of how obvious it was that she wanted to talk to someone. For once she decided to be considerate and make sure that the person she was talking to was okay with talking to her. Her Mother had told her plenty of times that sometimes it was better if she stopped talking to strangers, especially if she could not tell what kind of mood they were in.
Taking on of the grapes from her hand, Adagio rolled it slightly between her fingers thoughtfully before popping it into her mouth. Luckily enough for her, grapes were one of the least sticky fruits that she could eat with her hands, so she would not have to wash her hands again. Funny enough, she had no problem with her hands being dirty, she could be rolling around in the dirt all day and not wash her hands before she started eating, but as soon as she got sticky, she was freaking out and scrubbing her hands like mad.

"Nice to meet you." He smiled slightly when she asked him about the grapes. In his mind as long as he had offered the grapes he was serious about letting her have them, eat them, after all he had more random snacky things in his backpack. Not that she had a hope of knowing that but it was still the principle of things, he'd never been the sort to offer something and then take it away. He motioned to his back pack as his spoke again. "I have more."
Raising a hand he shifted the headphones around his neck slightly watching her take some grapes. Once she set down the bag he picked it up and took several out of the bag as well. Although he wasn't exactly fond of sweet things grapes had always been a favorite of his. Rolling one between his fingers he absently ate it. Taking a moment to respond to her question.
"No..." He shook his head slightly and shifting a bit trying to get to a comfortable position. "It's just... I'm really bad at meeting new people, sorry."
He took a calming breath, not used to saying almost a complete sentence at any given time, really. In his mind he started a count backwards from twenty. An effort to quell both his fear of wide open spaces and that of meeting new people. Perhaps if he hadn't lived in a small town before moving to a large city the later fear could have been avoided but all the same he was stuck with it.
"It's a compulsion of sorts... Writing down... Things I notice." He looked away when he said that, eating another grape and hoping she wouldn't ask any more questions on the subject. It was a strangeness, yes, but for him it was a normality. And he dealt with it as best as he could, really, but up until he learned the persons name it would bother him. Not being able to know and recognize that person the next time he met them, not that he remembered everyone that he met which was what the books were there for.
Sieffre shifted again his attention snapping away from her as he saw something else move at the corner of his sight. Watching a bird fly by he released a soft breath and shook his head, turning his attention back to the girl he was sitting with. "If... If you don't mind me asking... What's your major?"
He winced slightly at that, half wondering if the question was a bit too direct, after only knowing a persons name was it alright to just randomly ask what it was they were doing with their life? In the back of his mind he restarted his count.

Listening to Sieffre carefully, Adagio nodded in understanding. She could tell that he was shy, so she made a mental note not to try to push him too much. Adagio had a bad habit of friendly teasing those that she was talking to, and she quickly decided to not do so until Sieffre seemed a little more comfortable.
“You don’t have to be sorry at all! There’s nothing to be sorry about after all.”
Smiling one of her usual silly smiles, Adagio popped another grape into her mouth and chewed before beginning to talk again.
“Ah, okay then. I can kind of understand actually. Whenever my hands get sticky, I have to wash them immediately or I can’t concentrate.”
Laughing slightly at how silly it sounded when she said it out loud, she popped a third grape into her mouth when she heard Sieffre ask her what her major was. Before she could answer him, she saw him wince slightly and could not help but to think that he was a lot shyer then she originally thought.
“I don’t mind at all, in fact, ask away! I’m feeling rather talkative today unfortunately, so just tell me if I’m talking too much.”
Coughing slightly, Adagio gave a bit of a dramatic look before crossing her legs and letting another goofy smile come to her face.
“I’m majoring in Linguistics actually. You wouldn’t think that people would be able to find a job in that field, but it is actually covers a pretty wide field of things. Truthfully, I thought about becoming a language teacher instead, but I wouldn’t be able to teach and learn as many languages as I want. I absolutely love learning different languages, almost as much as I love… ach!”
Covering her mouth, Adagio blushed before putting a grape into her mouth to get her to stop talking so much. She felt kind of funny rambling on, especially when she was supposed to be keeping herself under control. Unconsciously looking up at Sieffre from below her eyelashes, she checked to see what kind of look he had on his face before uncovering her mouth.
“Ahem! Anyways, may I ask what you are majoring in?”
Deciding to push the conversation away from her self, Adagio kept eating the grapes in her hand and only looked at her hand blandly when she found that there were no grapes left before making sure to focus on Sieffre again.

10... 9... 8... 7-
He was pulled out of his internal count down when Adagio actually started to answer his question. Blinking with surprise he ate another grape listening to her words. Linguistics sounded like it had far more choices than his own passion did. Just watching her talk about it he could tell that she loved what she was studding. It made him look at her again, not like he normally did. but at what she truly looked like rather than what he could pick up of her personality. Adagio was actually quite pretty, although he'd never really looked at a person for esthetic's, a thought he would keep to himself.
"Talk as much as you like." Laughing softly he offered her the bag of grapes, a few still left in it, waving the other hand slightly. He wouldn't explain that he preferred listening to talking himself, or the fact he usually didn't talk because normally people didn't care what it was that he was saying, but he enjoyed listening to the tones of peoples voices. Like music he found it calming.
He stretched out his legs, still not relaxed but starting to get a little bit more comfortable, and rested his back against the fountain. Thinking over how to answer her question. For most it was a simple enough question, and it was, but at the same time he took the time to think it over.
"Instrumental Music." He finally answered promptly followed by the eating of the last grape he had in his hand. Sieffre considered embellishing his answer, at least just a little, so she wouldn't feel like he was trying to be a total jerk and stay all mysterious or something. "Play the piano, and a couple other things... Mainly piano though."
He loved music, really did, but from what little that he had said he wondered if he sounded like he was talking about the weather or something else... Mundane. After all he himself wasn't all that interesting not compared to most. Although it might not matter to him he was aware of the fact that to some it was a very important fact.
It was plainly obvious that Adagio was a charismatic, vibrant, and passionate person. She loved what she did and was happy with the path that she had chosen in life. That much was obvious by merely listening to her talk. Sieffre raised his eyes slightly, looking at her for a moment, half wondering what she was thinking and glad that he couldn't read minds at the same time.
"Although I haven't considered what I'm going to do with it once I'm done. He added softly dropping his eyes to the ground between them. Sieffre hadn't thought of the future, not really, as long as he could do something that made him comfortable and happy... He hadn't really thought beyond that.

Unconsciously, Adagio sat playing with the little Tardis that was attached to her backpack as she listened to Sieffre talk. When he offered her the last of the grapes in the bag, she bit her lip slightly and smiled. Taking the bag careful not to bump hands with him just in case he had personal space issues, Adagio opened the bag and quickly placed another grape into her mouth before giving him all of her attention. She had to admit that it warmed her heart a little when she heard him laugh. She felt as if he was warming up to her a little, and in a way she could tell it was an honor.
Listening to him talk, Adagio at first thought that he did not seem very excited about his major, until she looked into his eyes. Faintly she could see the spark that people got when they loved what they were talking about, and she gently smiled admiringly.
“Wow, instrumental huh? I’m jealous, I play but I’m not that~”
Interrupting her own sentence, Adagio snapped her fingers as if an idea came to her.
“Maybe that’s what class we have together! Are you in the orchestra? I play first violin, about midway through the section. I’m not that great of course, but I absolutely love playing.”
It would be so cool if they shared the class, especially since it meant that they could maybe work together when they had some free time.
“I honestly considered taking up Instrumental Music, and either play my violin, or singing but~”
Sighing sadly and letting her hand reach up to her throat, Adagio had a bit of a far away look as she tried to continue her sentence.
“I have terrible stage fright, and I always feel like I’m going to mess up and everyone is going to laugh at me. In all truth, I’m just glad I’m not that kind of person who decides that they are going to vomit when they get nervous, I knew a person like that, it was really bad.”
Making a face at the thought and then laughing, Adagio shook her head and chuckled.
“So, now I stick to my languages, my Doctor Who, and my gardening, and only dabble vaguely in other things.”
Shrugging, she thought about the other things that she left out. Her interest in cooking, her rabid reading habits, and her love of exploring. Sure, she was eccentric, but it was one of her most endearing qualities, and she liked being different. There was no reason for everyone to be the same after all!

"Yeah, although not for the piano." Sieffre answered softly, as much as he loved the piano he had decided to work on another instrument as well. Just focusing on one had seemed kind of sad so he'd chosen two, the piano and the cello to split his attentions between, and focused and honing his skills. "The cello.
Thinking about it he did, sort of, remember her at the meetings for orchestra. Although there were a good deal of people there and he was much farther away from her so he'd never really gotten a proper look at every one. The people who were immediately around him, yes. Every single person in the room, even he wasn't quite that obsessive.
He settled back after that once against lapsing in to that spot where he just listened to her speak. Stage fright... He glanced at her as he drew his legs closer to his body, contemplating it.
"Stage frieght... Has never bothered me... Really." Sieffre started slowly, blinking for a moment wondering how to explain it so he didn't sound like a total loon. He had always had a hard time explaining things in a straight forward format. Usually things got complicated when people relied upon him for an explanation of any sort. "I have a hard time meeting people... Face to face. But it's not that bad if they're not... Close?"
He paused again frowning at how awkward that sounded. Fine with being watched from a distance but face to face he just shut down. Sieffre sighed and ran a hand through his hair out of mild frustration at his lack of ability to verbalize things in a mostly coherent manner.
"It's talking that's the hard part, for me." He tried again, sounding faintly annoyed with himself but still at least making some effort to talk and interact rather than just disappearing in the background like he normally does. "I've been playing since I was a kid and it comes easily so being afraid of playing poorly has never bothered me."
He took a soft breath, not trying to calm himself down but because he'd hopefully managed to explain it in a good understandable manner. Sieffre knew he could play so therefore why be afraid of playing poorly. If they were distant enough he could just ignore them and go to that place that he went normally, listening to the sound of the music.

Sighing slightly, Adagio had to do mental gymnastics for a second as she juggled her mental picture of her orchestra class. She could hear the music bright and clear in her mind, but only a few of the faces were clear. Letting the image fade, she smiled even though she had failed at really spotting him in her class. It was big though, so she could be forgiven.
“I guess in a way we are polar opposites then.”
Nodding her head sagely, Adagio put a finger to her chin and tilted her head as she thought.
“You don’t like talking face to face, while I’m almost always a chatter box. I have horrible stage fright, and you have it under control. You’re kind of quiet and shy, and unless I’m in a bad mood I am rather….”
Deciding not to finish her sentence, Adagio waved her hand and laughed lightly. She really did not know how to finish the sentence without making her self sound like an idiot, so she figured that she would stop.
Reaching out her hand slightly, she patted Sieffre twice on the leg and smiled brightly before leaning back up against the fountain.
“You know what, I think you’re pretty cool. It sounds kind of silly since we haven’t been talking for a long time, but I really mean it. Trust me, I have a sixth sense for this kind of thing.”
Winking dramatically, Adagio laughed before she thought a little more on what she said. She had no idea why she had never talked to Sieffre before. Sure, he was shy, but Adagio had to admit that he seemed like he would be a very nice and very interesting person once he opened up. If her Mother heard her though, she would probably hit her upside the head for being so insensitive.
“Hmm, I think I should probably apologize. What I said was kind of insensitive, also, I totally invaded your personal space. Would you be able to forgive me?”
Adagio would hate to have done something to someone that she would be willing to get to know better. Usually when she just had random conversations with people, what they said and what they felt tended to be irrelevant to her. It was not that she did not care, it was just that most the people she talked to randomly tended to be very self centered. However, this time, she found someone who she felt that she could get along with, and that was a big deal to her. Sure, she knew people, and she maybe had one or two people that she could consider friends, but for a girl of seventeen, one or two friends was kind of pitiful.

He shrugged slightly at the idea of them being polar opposites. Already Sieffre found himself enjoying just sitting and chatting with Adagio. She hadn't pushed him at all nor had she told him that his obsessive tendencies were strange. She was correct though, at the same time, they were truly very different in a good deal of ways. But for the conversation to have gone on as long as it had meant that they either had at least a couple things in common or that as soon as they moved on to a different topic the conversation would just dry up.
He frowned slightly at the thought of that, even if he wasn't big on conversations, he did enjoy listening to people talk. And at least she didn't seem to have a problem with him merely adding things every now and again. Which was good, it was nice if he was totally honest with himself, he had a lot of people talk at him but it was usually about them not a some what common interest point.
Sieffre stiffened slightly when she touched him, not because it had scared him, but the pure unexpectedness of it. Usually the people he dealt with kept their distance, and while he liked to be able to touch a person and confirm that they were real not every one was in to it, not to mention he usually kept his distance because his morph was a thirteen pound fluff-ball.
"Uh... Thanks?" He raised an eyebrow slightly at her comment, at the idea of being 'cool' but he would take the compliment anyways. Yet again her wondered if he came off like he was fishing for compliments, he hoped not. At her next words he found himself laughing softly at it. "Do I really seem that adverse to touch...?
Sieffre laughed again. "Wait, no, don't answer that... Anyways it's fine, I don't mind. It'd take a little bit more to pop my personal bubble."
He settled back again taking a moment to rummage through his back to come out with another Ziploc bag, this time full of baby carrots. Opening the bag he took one out and munched on it absently, yet again his attention caught by some distant birds before they disappeared from sight. He motioned to the bag. "You can have some... I carry around a whole bunch of food so don't worry."

Adagio sighed happily and started to smile once more.
“Phew, that’s good. Even though you said I don’t have to answer, I’m going to anyways since I’m cool like that. I honestly don’t think you’re that adverse to touch, but it was totally rude of me anyways. I’d probably at least give someone a ‘your silly’ look if they just touched me out of nowhere.”
Laughing at her own silliness, Adagio shrugged before looking at the carrots that were offered to her. In a way, it would be rude to refuse, but she knew if she tried to eat them then she would make weird faces.
“No thank you, for some reason I can eat steamed carrots, but I can’t eat raw carrots without some kind of dressing.”
She actually loved steamed carrots as they tended to be sweet, but raw carrots just tasted strange to her. She would always try to eat them raw, and she even grew some in the school greenhouse, but all her efforts were for naught.
“I think I’ve had a million snacks today anyways, I should probably leave room for dinner tonight.”
Sure, she tended to keep a really bad eating schedule, but tonight they were serving some of her favorite stuff and she did want to eat. Thinking about eating, Adagio had a sudden question but then wondered if it would be too personal.
“I don’t know if this is too personal or not, but can I ask what your shift is?”
Deciding not to make him say his shift first, Adagio scrambled for her backpack before rummaging in it for her big book of animals. Opening it and flipping to one of the pages, she passed the book over to Sieffre while pointing to one picture in particular.
“I’m a Hildebrandt's Starling. Not very exciting considering some of the shifts around here, but I think it’s pretty fun. At least when you’re small, you can get away with doing more things than bigger animals. I mean take for instance checking out a town! I can just fly over or even hop around the street and no one would really think about it. If I was a lion or a wolf though, I would get a lot of attention.”
Giving a triumphant look, Adagio wondered for a second if he would decline to tell her his shift. If he did, it would totally be his decision, but she would be extremely curious.

"Ah." He nodded slightly, accepting her answer, although Sieffre was given a slight pause at the idea of a 'You're Silly' facial expression. Of course he had expressions but he'd never bothered to sit down, or stand for that matter, and think about the different names they could be called. An expression that fit the moment, sure, but before he got too caught up in muddling his way through the various points that came with successful communication he decided to stop that train of thought. Goodness knew he could start it up again later.
She'd moved on to a different point of conversation with out him, not that he minded, and absently he looked at the carrots before reclaiming the bag and taking out another one. Munching on another one he shrugged slightly. "I usually snack rather than eat large meals. And that's fine, too, just be rude for me to start eating with out offering some too."
He blinked when she asked him about his shift. He'd been asked before but depending on what the other persons was sometimes it was a better idea to just keep his morph to himself. The last thing he wanted, or needed, was to someone look at him like he was a walking, talking, snack. Although for some of the shifts he'd barely even be that, maybe a mouthful in some of the worst case scenarios.
Biting in to another carrot he watched as she dug through her bag curious as to what she was going to pull out of it. A book, he mentally sighed, nothing for him to worry or be afraid off. As always he took a moment to consider how to answer the question.
"Arctic Hare." He shrugged slightly at that, not really the most exciting creature out there, except for maybe the fact that a good deal of the female-child population seemed to think that rabbits were cute and cuddly creatures. As a child growing up in Alaska he'd never seen an Arctic Hare and yet he had ended up being one. A strange twist that he'd never bothered to try and sort though. He could do with out the head ache in that case. "Pretty much set off the food radar all the time."
Although he did have plenty of upsides, like being able to dash 60 kph, but he usually didn't shift unless he had to. And never while around something that might fancy taking a bite out of him.

“Ah, well thanks for offering. From what I understand, snacking is better for you anyways, it’s just they have some stuff in the cafeteria that I actually want to eat for once tonight.”
Sauerkraut and cheese franks, how could she refuse? Plus, they usually had a great selection of dried fruits and nuts that would make any fan of the delicious treats go crazy!
When she heard Sieffre mention that he was an Arctic Hare, Adagio actually had to freeze for a second. Sure, rabbits were cute and they posed no real threat to her so she did not have to worry about being eaten, but she vaguely remembered a very bad experience with rabbits. A hazy memory came back to her of when she visited a friend’s house and she was asked to help gather the escaped rabbits. She had successfully gathered three and put them into their cages when she went to grab the fourth and was ripped to shreds. When the rabbit was done with her, she had scars for about a month. To this day she has no idea why exactly the rabbit did that to her, especially since her friend picked it up without a trouble, but ever since then she had been weary of rabbits.
Noticing that it had been a rather long period since she said anything, Adagio gave a nervous laugh before clearing her throat softly.
“I’m lucky, I don’t set off the food alarm for most of the shifts since I can fly, but I find that the predators I do have are pretty intense.”
Bigger birds of prey could be pretty persistent as well as extremely scary. Staring into the jaws of a big beast was one thing, but the wide-open beak of a hawk made her fear that her eyes would be ripped out.
“I guess at least you are safe in the cold. I hate the heat, but in my shift form it is hard for me to stay in the cold for too long. I tried staying in my shift form the winter before last and I think I only lasted two hours before I had to go back inside and get some hot chocolate.”
Her Mother was furious when she found out, but just let it slide knowing that even if she had told Adagio to not do it she would do it anyways. It was not that she did not respect her mother; it was just that experiments were too interesting to pass up.
Closing her big book of animals, Adagio was forced to pull out a few more books before placing them all inside properly. She had no idea why she continued to place paperback and hardback books together in her bag since they could easily be damaged that way, but she was willing to live with the consequences.
