Overall:
Brianna is a rather lively person, and it's hard to change that. When around people she knows, or just in an energetic mood, she's hyper and almost glowing. She cracks a lot of jokes, and teases people, though in a light-hearted manner. She almost always has either a smirk or a smile on her face, in such a situation. However, when she's around people she doesn't know, she tends to shy away from them. She walks around almost like a ghost, hardly noticed and never talking. Yet, when you get to know her, everything seems to turn around. It seems that only her closest friends are the only people who truly know her.
Bree loves to sing, but more than anything, she has an addiction to dancing. If she likes the beat or the way a song is sung, she'll most likely find a subtle way to dance to it if there are people around. Otherwise, she'll dance without being so obscure about it, or when she's on stage. She listens mostly to Rap, Hip-hop, and R&B, give or take some spanish songs and a bit of rock and pop -- she's highly diversified when it comes to her musical interests. Bree can really get into the beat of anything. Although she absolutely despises country music, and even though she loves Rap music, Brianna couldn't to save her life.
Bree is a risk taker, no doubt. She won't get into serious trouble, like theft, drugs, alcohol, etc. Brianna tries to maintain a clean image when it comes to things like that. However, in any other situation, she's the classic daredevil. Walking on a fence? Jumping it? Brianna loves to play tricks on people, as well. However, she tries to draw the line in her mind so that she won't go overboard and either offend or make somebody angry. Yet, this sometimes fails when she doesn't fully understand a person's reactions.
Brianna does in fact have a serious side, though. She's been told she's very good at giving advice, and rarely gets confused with life. Bree is also very good at keeping secrets. She strongly believes that if someone doesn't want the world to know something, then the world shouldn't know, unless it is very important and should be addressed right away, other than that, the person with the secret will come out eventually. Brianna is very sympathetic, showing concern and generosity others in need of support, or a shoulder to cry on. She often brags about herself though. Sometimes, in a good way and sometimes not so good. She loves to laugh, and finds those awkward silences people sometimes end up in very funny.

...appearance

Celebrity Play By: Vanessa Hudgens
Appearance:
Her hair is very thick and layered nicely. It is delicate, though, and breaks easily, which is why stray pieces are seen floating outward as the rest of her hair curls toward the bottom. Nonetheless, it is beautiful with wispy highlights of light brown, to gold, and then to blonde as you move down in length. It reaches to her lower back as she rarely has it cut. Though, it is often styled. Her creative personality urges are to take on the most unbelievably outrages styles.
Her eyes are a sweet hue of liquid, chocolate brown. Framed nicely by long and thick, black lashes. They are a distinct, cat-like almond shape and are said to be the doors to her soul. Brianna shows a lot of emotion and expression in her face, more specifically her eyes. Her trimmed, thin eyebrows are set high, along with her cheekbones, giving her eyes and face a very regal look. Very mesmerizing, indeed, and boys often get lost staring for they are quite a sight. Then again, they are oh so intimidating, so do not be so unfortunate as to get on her bad side.
Brianna has a nice slight build. She is very thin, yet has the necessary muscle for horseback riding, which she did a lot when she was younger, before she discovered her ability to shift. Her strong long legs were built to hug the barrel of horse as she glides over jumps and other obstacles. Brianna's tan skin offsets her brown eyes beautifully. Her skin is surprisingly smooth, though she has, on her arms, what I like to call "crab skin". They have flecks of darker shades and small, rough bumps. It is not like it is noticeable, unless you rub your hand over it. Brianna also has cellulite. She is certainly not fat, but it is there.
Regarding her style, Brianna tends to go with simple clothes (i.e. a long sleeve or regular tank) and accessorize them with jewelry, hats, and shoes. While one simple outfit of maybe jeans and a plain white top, could go from boring to brilliant when Brianna gets her hands on it. Boots, necklaces, glasses, bags, anything to spice it up a little. She takes a lot of pride in the way she looks and does not like flashy clothes meant to flaunt her chest or upper thighs. Brianna keeps things simple and conservative, yet fashionable.
As a cat, Brianna has soft, raven-black fur with faint dark-brown rings around her ears, belly, and tail. Her build is lithe and agile, yet athletic, as muscles can be seen rippling beneath her sleek pelt. Bree's long, black claws are perfectly curved and deadly. Though, she's not the impulsive type. Brianna knows her limits and would rather bare her threatening fangs than hurt someone, no matter how much she would like to. She prefers to keep herself looking clean; coat radiant, eyes glowing. Speaking of her eyes, they are a bright, umber-brown with a tint of yellow, labeling them tawny.

...history
Parents: Natalia Caprice, mother
Alex Fenelli, father
Siblings: none
Natalia, 16, had just moved from New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida as her father's work transfered he and the family there. She was all alone in a new school, a public school, where all the girls were sluts, and the guys were sexist players. Nat was always used to being the good girl, one who got straight A's, citizenship awards, and was home no short of three hours before curfew. But when she met Alex Fenelli, the guy who ruled the school, she couldn't help herself, and neither could he.
9 months later, Brianna was born into the world. Natalia knew she had made a mistake, but she couldn't be any happier with the end result. Brianna was a gift, and she loved her with all her heart, and only wished that Alex could as well. When Natalia was pregnant, Alex waited on her hand and foot, but ever since he first saw Brianna in the hospital, he never spoke a word to Natalia. He acted strange, never returned calls or texts, skipped school, flunked tests (more often, at least). He avoided them both as best as he could. Then one day he didn't come to school. It was close to graduation, and Natalia was overwhelmed. Of course, questions were swirling around her, but she had to focus on the baby and passing her high school finals. No one ever knew what happened to Alex. Not even his friends. The house was empty, with not even a trace of him ever living there.
So, Brianna grew up without ever hearing from her father. As she got older, she had a pretty average life in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her mother looked after her well enough that they weren't suffering in one of those dirty one-room apartments. Bree was never on the rich side, thus making her a very real person who wasn't into all of that materialistic crap. She always had a few close friends, not that popular, preppy cheerleader type, though. I mean she was very down-to-earth and people liked that about her.
Bree had always had a passion for dancing. Her mother had a job at a school as a teacher after many hard-working years at college to earn a degree. And so, Bree often got free after-school dance lessons ever since she was 6 because of her mother's position at the school. She loved to dance, adored it. Brianna was amazing at the sport once she got to middle school and competed in various competitions and won many awards. But at her first year in high school, things began to change.
At first Brianna felt sick. Her joints were bothering her and her muscles ached. She went to the doctor who advised her to take a couple of weeks off from dancing, assuming it was stress-related and that time off to concentrate on her schoolwork. But that didn't help. In fact, things only got worse. Bree's mother pulled her out of school one day because things were so bad. However, she tried her best to maintain a normal life. She went to high school parties, picked up dancing again, and soon, everything was back to normal. Brianna felt great, like a new person. That is, until one night. . .
Bree was having a blast at a wild house party. She was adjusting to high school life and loved it. Getting caught up in the fun, Bree decided to try a bit of alcohol. It sure brightened up the evening, until something in the pit of her stomach was clawing at her. She felt light headed and went outside to catch some air. Some drunk jocks were cat-calling at her, and that made her feel worse. And right then and there, is where and when it happened. With a loud popping noise and a growl from the back of her throat, a whole other side of her emerged. An electric shock of pain surged through Brianna's bones, her skin, her muscles, until she was covered with glossy black fur and was pelting towards the jocks.
About an hour later, she woke up behind the house in the bushes. Bree tried to get up and barely managed. She frantically searched for the friend that had brought her there and found everyone else standing around the jocks horror stricken. They had been mauled. Someone was on the phone with the police, and ambulance sirens could be heard in the distance. That was Brianna's cue to split, which she did.
When Bree got home, her mother was relieved to see her alright after hearing the news, but there was something Natalia wasn't telling her daughter. They both walked into the kitchen. Brianna sat down at the table curious to hear what Natalia had to say. Her mother pulled out an envelope wedged in between the pages of a cook book. Silently, she slid it over to Bree, tears in her eyes. It was a last letter from her father. Natalia explained how it was sent to her a couple years ago and she was meant to give it to Brianna when the time was right.
In the letter, Brianna's father, Alex, came clean and admitted why he had to leave her. He was changing himself. It came late, and his parents weren't expecting it, and neither was he, but he had to leave because he felt he couldn't be sure she and her mother would be safe around him. Alex told her what being an animal shifter was like, what his experiences were like, and even his own shift, a lion. He informed her of the only place Brianna could be truly safe, Shifter Academy.
And so, Brianna packed her bags and said her goodbyes. Now, she's heading out to Shifter Academy to learn how to hone her skills and pursue her dream of becoming a dancer.

...connecting human to animal
Brianna's shift is a panther for many reasons. To start off, she has very cat-like features. Her eyes and the shape of her face resemble those of a feline, and her dark hair reflects the panther's pelt. Personality-wise, she's a very independent spirit (much like a cat), who is care-free, but will stick up for herself. She is very assertive, and when it comes competition, Bree can be a very aggressive player, someone you want on your team and not one to be going up against, which covers the more aggressive side of the animal.
Bree also enjoys certain activities and things associated with the black panther. She loves to climb trees and enjoys tropical, warm regions much like the rainforest. She is also as "curious as a cat" and loves it when she gets the opportunity to go new places and explore unfamiliar lands. Where her major, dancing, falls into the mix is somewhere along the the lines of how a cat will always land on their feet when they fall. Same with Brianna. She has the stealth and balance of a panther, who is very concentrated and rarely looses their focus. The panther's build is swift and suited for climbing and leaping, as well as Brianna.

This is from another site, I hope it's okay. It's got elements from a plot you might not understand. And this isn't supposed to be reflecting the way I'm going to RP Brianna. She has an entirely different personality on that site.
Brianna sighed, looking out into the field. The rolling green hills seemed to never end, and that's just what she wanted. The peacefulness, the happiness, the stress-free connection she shared with her mare, Piper, she wanted it to never end. However, it seemed like all the pressure her mother was putting on her was coming even harder, dragging her down like a lead weight. Brianna was all for competition, but things were different this year. With the inter-schooling 3-day eventing games coming up, Natalia would be pushing her daughter to the limits , forcing her to practice till she was sore all over, till she sweat so much she'd get dehydrated. Her mother's hatred for Lilith Riddle blinded her, and she would focus solely on one thing. Winning.
"Eyes on the prize," Mom always said, but Brianna did her best at all times to keep her mother's voice out of her head. It always screwed with her. She loved her mother, deeply, but sometimes it seemed like she didn't care. Didn't care about Brianna, about Ryan or Rosemary, or the school. Only about herself and her reputation. Brianna wished her father was here, she wished he never left them. At least then, she would've had someone to care for her. In her heart, the young rider knew her family loved her, and did in fact care, but lately she felt so distant from them.
She could only imagine how Ryan must feel. Ryan was her twin brother, although they looked nothing alike being fraternal twins and all. Ryan was the oldest, and so, Natalia, their mother and headmistress of the school, would be expecting so much more from him. But then again, Ryan was more carefree, able to let loose and just not give a crap about the world around him. Brianna only wished she had received that trait. Things would've have been so much easier her whole life, just to shut her feelings off with the flick of a switch. On the outside, Brianna appeared tough, intimidating, competitive, ready to break your neck if she needed to, but inside, she still hurt, had feelings, just like any other human being, and Natalia refused to recognize that.
Brianna swung her leg over the fence post and clambered on top to watch the horses graze in the meadow. She clearly wasn't wearing the right kind of shoes for this, high heels and whatever, but she managed to balance herself along the rail comfortably. Bree smiled to herself as Piper frolicked around the meadow, kicking up turf as she enjoyed her free time. That's what she and Piper did best, kicking up dust. Bree and Piper were a dream team. They understood each other so well, and were always on the same wavelength. Piper could always tell how Brianna was feeling, and so, always did her best to cheer her rider up whether it be by doing silly things to get a laugh out of the girl, or reassure and console her when she was in distress.
Brianna's head turned as she heard someone approach. A guy, and by the looks of it, only a few years older than she. He led his own mare into the same pasture as Piper and then came to lean on the fence beside her. Bree pulled off her sunglasses, not even remembering why she had them on. She was completely shaded by an overhanging tree, and the sun was playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds at the moment, thus: no real reason for them. Well, there were other reasons, like her insecurity and such, but Bree wanted to seem friendly and so she slide them behind her ears and let them rest on her head.
"Hi, you must be new," Brianna spoke suddenly, hoping to break the ice and start up a conversation. "I'm Brianna." Mom always said to be as friendly as possible, get to know your competition, and Bree rolled her eyes at that. She put on a amiable smile, held her hand out to shake, and hoped she would get to know this boy better. He seemed to have an interesting story behind him, and Bree knew all to well what it's like to be in a place where you know no one.
