LIKES
Virginia loves things that are close to home. She enjoys cooking (even though she’s terrible at it) and making things that make others smile. She enjoys being alone, mostly so she can reflect or think things through. Virginia has a huge reliance of family, though she doesn’t get much from her own, she longs for lasting and meaningful relations. She is a closet philosopher, spending sometimes hours on end reading and contemplating all types of philosophy. If you can catch her on a good day, she might quote some to you. Although it might be difficult to, you might even get her to go so far as give you advice. Due to her analytical and perceptive mind she is fantastic at finding remedies. Peace, poise, and relationships are most important.
DISLIKES
Virginia is very much self-contained, any kind of compromising situation must be considered at great length. If she feels like her safety is being in danger, she puts up more and more defenses. Although she doesn’t mind casual contact, such as between friends, she will not tolerate intimate relationships unless she is positive that everything is fine and it is solid. Due to her high perceptibility she detests any kind of insensitivity. She is very accepting and expects everyone else to be as well. She is often too kind to show her displeasure; therefore it’s hard to tell what she dislikes.
FEARS
Currently, her biggest fear is being found out by her classmates. She is a living lie as far as she is concerned and deserves to be hated. Although, being hated is another huge fear of hers. It’s what got her into the whole mess with the Shifter Academy in the first place. It is also important to note that she is Haptephobic- that is, afraid of being touched. Any sort of physical contact makes her writhe, she tries to avoid shaking hands and giving hugs as much as possible. Kissing is almost out of the question. For some reason being touched- even casually by strangers- makes her feel sick.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES
Although it is also hindering, her sense of safety heightens her use of common sense. Often times she blunt and straightforward, but in a nice way that makes people feel assured. He self-confidence is awful, which is why she’s so introverted. She isn’t worried about her looks or weight so much as how she will deal with people. Everything takes time to plan out, if Virginia is given time then one can be sure the best solution is reached. Virginia has a very motherly personality, which is why she’s so likeable to some people. She can be protective of them two. She hate taking risks but will do it for her “kids”. She does not call them friends; they are her “kids”. Her memory is fantastic, it gets her out of tight situations typically, but also will remind her or past wounds. One of her greatest weaknesses is sugary foods, she has a huge sweet tooth.

She is not generously endowed in terms of breasts. She takes care to avoid excessive sun exposure do she has paler skin, but, despite her efforts she still ended up with a light dusting of freckles on the bridge of the nose and just beneath the eyes. Her hair is wavy, long, and a light brown color with a wisp of long bangs falling over half of her right eyebrow. She keeps it well taken care of, cleaning and brushing it once a day. Because her eyes are a bit too small for her liking, Virginia wears a lot of caramel brown eye shadow and mascara to frame and make her eyes look bigger and pretty. Her eye color is a dull blue with very dark rimming. Her face is fairly round with a small nose and her lips, quite full.
Virginia’s preferred clothing is long and comfortable. In the winter, she will wear nice coats and scarves. She loves boots as well. She tries not to pick out anything that is too white or too black. During the summer, she will wear jeans but sometimes will settle for a tank top as long as there’s a light jacket to go over it. She typically settles for tans, reds, and good neutral shades. Green is her favorite. She is too afraid to get her ears pierced and always looses necklaces so she wears a ring instead. A ring that she found once on the side of the road. It’s not special or particularly interesting but a simple band with a small engraving of a sun on a horizon. Virginia can’t decide if the sun is rising or setting, she can spend hours contemplating it. [/size]
...history
Parents: Louis and Karen Bradburn
Siblings: Julianne (older, deceased) and Wesley (younger)
[400 words minimum]
Louis and Karen Bradburn met a little after Highschool. Whn they took notice of each other, it was for a very specific reason. They were both shifters, well, Louis wasn’t but he had a sibling that was. They had a good marriage; both had been brought up well in good homes with enough love and support to satisfy anyone. Within the first two years of marriage they had a baby girl, who they named Julianne. Form the first seconds she was in their hands, they knew she was special. Both Louis’s and Karen’s family worked together to bring up the new baby girl. On her second birthday, the new family was forced to move all the way to Pennsylvania because of Louis’s job. A little bit afterwards, the couple found out that they were pregnant again. It wasn’t planned, but they decided to keep the child anyway. They regretted it. The first few months of the new little girl’s life hung in the balance, yet some how, she survived. It was a miracle and her parents named her “Virginia” so as to always remind her of her purity. Virgina was a sickly child growing up, the constant companionship of her big sister always gave her the will to keep fighting. But all was not well in the household, Louis’s job was going under, he and Karen would have fights every now and again. Whenever this happened Julieanne would take her little sister and hide in the closet, covering her ears while her parents had it out.
Steadily, with the love from her sister, Virginia’s health improved. It improved exponentially. Eventually, Louis’s job evened out and the Bradburn household fell into normalcy. As Julianne neared age 12, there was myseterious talk of a school. Virginia didn’t seem to mind though, she simply carried on, and eventually developed a sense of adventure. It was up to Julianne to make sure she didn’t get hurt. The two sisters bonded even more.
One day, it all was awry. Julianne and Virginia were wandering out, taking a chance and going farther than they had ever gone from the family house. Virginia was 10 at the time. It was around Twilight and in the summertime. The girls began hunting for frogs, after a fruitless 15 minutes, Virginia found one, and, excited she began chasing it. There happened to be a road nearby. As luck would have it, the frog jumped into the road. Virginia followed, and just as her hands were about to close around it, she was sent flying by a mighty shove from behind. There was a scream, then a crack, and then a gurgle. All one right after the other. Dumbfounded and shaken, Virgina stood and started calling for her sissy. A few feet away a black car was parked, two men were shouting. Virginia wandered over to see a crumpled figure in the grass. It took her a moment, but she recognized the clothing. It was her sister.
The entire family was heart-broken. Karen didn’t know how to raise children herself so Virginia was left to deal with her own emotions. Form the looks her parents would give her, the grief they showed at the passing of their daughter, Virginia began to believe it was her fault. She was heartbroken and fell into despair, building her own little world bit by bit. Building up her defenses. She lost her childlike trust long before it’s time. When she neared her 13th birthday her parents began taking special interest in her. Her parents had never really noticed her. She understood, she thought ‘How could you know me if you had Julieanne’. The sudden attention was a bit unnerving, especially when on her 13ht birthday, her parents locked her in her room. Frightened, Virginia just assumed she was being punished for something and mad no sounds. On the morning after her parents came in and looked very surprised. Then, all of a sudden they began to shout. They were furious. Virginia could only cover her face, like her sister used to do for her.
A few days later her parents came to her, the first thing they said was, “The one who dies was you.” . They explained that she was to pretend she could change into an animal and tell everyone that the sister who had died could not. They were sending her to school. Virginia didn’t know what to do so she agreed, not knowing the mess she was getting herself into. Sometime later she entered Shifter’s academy as a freshman with explicit instruction. Do not tell anybody that you are only a human. She adopted an outward attitude of motherly kindness, like her sister might’ve had. But her defenses are still thick as ever. She decided on the major of Economics because it seems like it offers a nice solitary job in which she can spend a lot of by herself using her skills to benefit an entire country.
Later she learned that he parents had another baby named Wesley She has not met him yet. He will have the animal shift trait.
...connecting human to animal
[One Paragraph Minimum (Can be point form)]
Although she does not have a shift, Virginia tells everyone she’s a cat. Though, in her opinion she’s more of a bananna slug- spineless and useless. However, if one was to look at her genotypes it is easy to see that she is a carrier of the trait. She cannot shift but personality still follows that of an animal. It is the crab. Hard defenses, but soft and vulnerable on the inside.

From +anima101. Thread name: Revenge!
Ter barely was able to drop to all fours to avoid the spinning weapon. "You." he hissed.
He leered at the tall woman and recalled his +anima, remaining hunched until the weapon returned Shakaya. He stood slowly, scraping his claws across the floor to produce a harsh noise.
In the corner of his eye he caught the shine of a weapon, a long sword, and a pale hand. He prayed it was the girl. But right now, what was important, was Skakaya.
He grinned manically at her. His mind was far-gone at this point, his sense of reason and emotion beyond his grasp. He spat blood on the floor, then reached up, jammed his claws into the wound on his shoulder and pulled out the dripping spear tip. He raised it to his lips and lapped his own gore from it then flicked the clean section harmlessly at her.
There was no more Terkan Aedis. There was a sadistic experiment that was once a small boy, who didn't understand why this happened. The many nights that his body would hurt so badly he could do nothing but cry. The days when he would wish he could end it all. That day.. that day when he watched one of his only friends die, and the emotionless faces of her killers. It was them.
Because of this, he felt no fear. In the absence of fear there is insanity. Which is always dangerous for everybody..
"What shall I do?" he croaked, his voice didn't even seem right, "Cut you open? Drag something out of you? I don't know."
He dropped to his hands and knees and his lips curled up to reveal his fanged grin again, "Perhaps I'll eat you.." He flexed his shoulders and pawed the ground, "Yes. That's what I'll do."
He lunged.
