Oh. it was a great day outside. It was one of those days that were just perfect to have fun with people. Well, it was great for Zach anyways. The weather was just right so the amusement part seemed like the right idea since they were heading over to the other island that day. They had to be careful over there though, cause the people on that island were humans, so they couldn't be as free as they chose to be back home in their school environment. This was better though, since there was only so much to do on their island, it got boring if you didn't throw a few curve balls and surprises in, life wouldn't be any fun. Isn't that right?
So, today he was hanging out with him "little brother". Since Zachary was an only child growing up, he never had any siblings, he was an only child. At the time, he was totally ok with that. But since he never really had a lot of family, he liked someone to confide in and such, and someone to be able to talk with at school. Sure, he had to wait a year for it to happen and such like that. It was alright though, since he found someone that was so close and they had great conversations, though they actually never talked.
Zachary told Jayden that he'd meet him at the front of the park at the entrance. He had one stop before that to drop off something that he had gotten their before on a previous visit. He decided that he wasn't going to give it to anyone, so he had to drop it off first so it wouldn't be a bother the rest of the day.
Walking up to the entrance, he stood off to the side, waking sure that he wasn't in anyone's way. But, in a spot where he cold easily find Jay and where Zach could be seen as well. Not that his clothing wasn't bright either, it always was. He was wearing one of his bright orange shirts with some random logo on it. Blue baggy jean shorts, and a pair of black converse just to finish the outfit. It was very comfortable outfit, to have a fun day at the park. He was standing there kind of bopping side to side singing a song in his head. There was always a time when he did this, and he knew it look ridiculous from people watching him, though it didn't matter, it was his way to pass the time.
Running his hand through his hair, Zachary looked at some of the bangs he could see. Was it time for a haircut already? He didn't like letting it get too long really, or it became annoying in this hot weather at times. He shook his head a little, letting the stands fall back down into a random place. Yeah, it seemed as though he would need a haircut soon, before he started to get annoyed by it.
He looked at his phone before sliding it back into one of his pockets. Zach realised he must have been a little on the early side of them meeting. Cause if Jayden was gonna be late, he hoped he would of sent him a quick message or something. A couple more minutes could go by before he decided to contact Jay. There was no reason to jump to conclusions or anything like that. It was a nice day after all, once could just lose themselves walking around. It seemed possible.

Oh, it was such a lovely day to be at the amusement park. Jayden was glad that he had asked his “older brother” for some quality time together. They hadn’t spent much time together due to homework being pushed to the forefront of their minds, and for Jay, Fidel was becoming more of a pest recently. He had wanted to hang out with Roxxi and Ryland but Fidel had wanted some alone time with the Otter.
Oh god, he hoped that Zach hadn’t been waiting for long. He knew he was a tad late but it wasn’t his fault – Fidel and all that. The mute Otter and boy silently sighed in unison as they ran. Wow, there were so man humans! There were so many different smells – some exquisite, some foul. Unfortunately for Jayden, he ran into a particularly foul smell, and had to stop for a moment, afraid that he might gag. He went off to the side for the time being, taking a breather, hoping to clear the repugnant smell out of his smell. He was afraid that he may have to text Zach so that he could get him out of here. No, you can do this. Keep strong said the inner Otter. Jayden nodded to himself, his body tense. He then took a deep breath and made a dash for it.
After that horrifying experience, Jayden could see the front of the theme park and of course Zach. He gave a smile and put on an extra burst of speed for the last part. He was behind Zach so he tapped him and hugged him from behind, letting go after a few seconds. He had a big grin on his face. Suddenly his hands began a graceful dance.
<<Sorry if I'm late and had to make you wait. Was held up with something and then had an experience with a nasty smell. So, shall we go in?>>
He waited for Zach’s reply. He then got a text message, to which he looked at the message. Face turning from happy to angry, Jayden stuffed the phone back in his bag. Thankfully, the bag had a little compartment that allowed him to store his wallet and phone while the main bit of the bag was for the cards. Fidel could wait. The Otter was spending time with his “brother” the Chipmunk. The Raccoon would have to patient, since he was becoming a pain.

There were a lot of people around, but that was expected when it was such a nice day out. Hopefully nothing would happen, cause these humans were weird sometimes. They didn't like the unknown, or things that were a threat, and clearly, some kids who could turn into animals might be that, but that's why its a secret. But seriously, some humans were just gross, though there wasn't anything he could do about that. Hopefully they would be having enough fun that it really wouldn't be a bother. Shouldn't matter if they were having a good time.
Zachary had checked his phone once more then was going to wait a few more minutes before he would try and get in touch with Jayden, he just hoped nothing had happened on his walk there. He had just slipped his phone into his pocket when he felt his shoulder being tapped. He was about to turn around when he felt arms wrap around his body and he knew who was there. Well, there weren't many choices cause he was sure that a random stranger wasn't going to come up and hug him, that would have been weird. So clearly, it was his little Otter, luckily, he was alright and safe.
Turning around he too had a smile on his face as he watched as his hands moved in front of him. That was completely understandable. At least there was a reason though. He felt better knowing that he was safe, and that nothing had happened to him.
<<Don't worry about it. You're not that late, just happy your safe though. Yes, let's head in.>>
His grin grew a bit more as they were starting to enter the park. When Jayden pulled out his phone, and his facial expression changed, he looked puzzled for a moment. There wasn't many times he had that expression on his face, and it made Zach worry is he was upset. Definitely on a day like today.
<<Anything wrong?>>
He didn't want to pry to much, cause if something was, Zach had hoped that Jayden would come to talk to him if he really wanted to. At least, he hoped he would. But they headed into the park anyways. Hopefully whatever it was, wasn't going to ruin Jayden day just like that. There was no way it could. Soon they were om the park, and Zach had pulled they both over to a map. He didn't come here enough to remember where all the rides were, so a map was helpful in trying to find everything. But, there was so many things that he thought they should try and get on today. SO many good rides to go on. With another smile he turned to Jay.
<<Anything in particular you want to ride? Or should we just start at one end of the park and work out way over?>>
It didn't matter to him, either way, try were still going to probably get on half the rides in the park. Some lines would probably be a bit longer than others, but they would just have to deal with a little wait. Zach wasn't a waiting around type of person, but he really didn't have a choice in the matter.

When Zach asked if anything was wrong, Jayden’s face became a deep scarlet for a moment, and a small embarrassed smile crept onto the young Otter boy’s face. He hadn’t told Zach about his new roommate. He had to tell him – Jayden always told Zach everything and vice versa, or so he hoped. He looked up at his Chipmunk and smiled.
<<I’ve found someone - my roommate, Fidel Mantangra – perhaps you’ve heard of him. We’ve starting dating but, lately, he’s wanted me to spend more time with him, which one of the reasons why I haven’t seen you recently. He’s becoming a pain actually but anyway...let’s go.>>
When they had got a map, Zach asked younger brother Jayden where they should go first. Jayden and the Otter looked at the map, deciding. All the rides sounded superb and Jay would undoubtedly want to go some rides more than once. He also had to take into account that some of the lines would be longer than others and that Zach wasn’t much of a waiting-type person. He concentrated for a full minute before deciding. He signed with one hand whilst pointing with the other. God, how Jayden loved Sign Language. You could either use both hands to sign or if you only had one hand to spare, then one.
<<Why don’t we go on the rides with the shorter lines first and then – no, hang on. Let’s just work our way around the amusement park, and if we come across any particularly long queues then we can always come back later, sound good?>>
Since coming to the Academy, Jayden had come to the island often, either with friends or by himself, and it never ceased to amaze the mute boy. The humans were just as amazing. Even though he himself was human in a way, he found them fascinating. The way they did things, why they ate certain things and all the other stuff that Jayden saw them do. Yes, he was human but that didn’t stop himself from finding it all so fascinating. Thinking about it now, Jayden would sit at a restaurant and would amuse himself by watching all the different people and what they did. If he hadn’t been majoring in Mythology, which he absolutely loved – he may have ended up doing Psychology or something like that. A subject where people themselves were the study.
He waited for Zach’s answer.

So there was someone new in his life. This was nothing new, Zach could tell people were sometimes drawn towards Jayden, he was always fun. But this person was also his room mate, but this was Jay's life, and he would support and help with anything he needed. He thought of the name a little, and he probably heard it around somewhere, but he couldn't put a face to the name. Maybe one day he would have to meet, him, but he wasn't going to try and do anything without Jay being comfortable with it. He wasn't going to be around forever, so they kind of had to get use to some things. He was totally fine with that.
When they stood at the map trying to figure things out. What Jay had come up with was a really good idea. Walking around and skipping the really long lines was a plan. Cause the lines would have to get smaller eventually. They were on an island after all, there were too many people here, well there couldn't be that many anyways.
<<That sounds like a great idea. How about we start here and work our way around?>>
Zachary had pointed to one of the roller coaster's on the one side of the park. It was one of those tall steel ones. No loops, but the height was the excitement about this one. Also, was one of those fun ones, and it took your picture while you were on the ride. No, he had never actually bought one of them, but they were always fun to look at what kind of face you were making and such like that. It was also fun to look at other people as well.
As they started to walk away from the map, Zach wrapped his arm around the Otter's shoulders. This was a place one could really relax. One, it wasn't school, or even remotely school related. Sometimes the work was a lot, and just too much to think about at times. Two, there wasn't teachers lurking around, but here you could really feel like yourself in this place, cause no one else knew who you were, and you most likely would never see them again. Humans didn't notice things like that, if there were some weird kids walking around. Though Zach and Jayden looked practically normal to anyone's eyes.
As they approached the coaster he looked over at Jayden with a smile. The line wasn't too bad of a wait, it was something his attention span could deal with, for the time being. It seemed as though people haven't even made their way over here yet, lucky for them. This ride sometimes had a long line, they just happen to catch it at the right time apparently.
<<So how about we start here then, that alright?>>

Jayden nodded, looked up at Zach and smiled, indicating that he agreed with the idea. Luckily Jay didn’t have vertigo so the ride with the height wouldn’t be an issue for the mute boy. He could also get the photo afterwards. He knew that he and Zach wouldn’t be together forever so Jay wanted some stuff to remember his brother. Once they were done with the map, they began to walk around. Zach’s arm came around Jay’s neck, making the small mute boy smile. One of the reasons that Jay liked coming here was because there were no teachers here, or other students for that matter. Even if they were here, the humans’ island was so big that was unlikely you’d meet them here. if you did see them, you could just make up a lame excuse and then go.
As they approached the coaster, Zach gave Jay a smile. Fortunately, this line wasn’t long so Zach would be able to pay attention. Sometimes it was impossible for Jay to keep Zach focussed on something, which sometimes meant that the mute boy had to stay with the older guy until he had finished the specified task. Jayden turned and saw Zach’s signs.
<<So how about we start here then, that alright?>>
Jayden smiled and nodded in answer to Zach’s question. Jay then thought of two things, which he quickly signed his thoughts.
<<Two things. One is: you can talk normally, don’t feel obligated to sign to me. I’d prefer it to be honest. I mean, I like the fact you’re signing but if it makes it easier on you, just talk normally. And two is: well, I know this will sound completely stupid but...but do you ever think about becoming brothers, legally I mean. It’s just that I view you as a brother and I hope you do too but I’d like to make it official.>>
People joined the line after them, and thankfully the line became shorter when one group of people got off. There were six people before them so they’d be next after this group was done. Jay counted the number of people after them and wasn’t surprised to see some people from the previous group back. Jayden knew that some rides were seriously addictive but come on, how addictive could this ride be? He’d have to wait and see. He then waited for Zach’s answer.

YAHTZEE!
All of a sudden, an announcement is made over the loud speakers. "VAMPIRE WEEKEND WILL BE MAKING A SURPRISE PERFORMANCE IN TEN MINUTES AT STAGE SEVEN. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE FOR SEATS."
In the sudden madness of the rush of people of various different backgrounds, Jayden and Zach are separated from each other!
Have fun! (:

Zachary smiled at Jayden when he told him he didn't have to sign to him. Not like he minded though, it was fun cause they people couldn't listen in on their conversations. That was a good thing, but if Jayden didn't want him to, he wouldn't. Maybe some things, but he would talk normally for now, though he wasn't sure how much Jayden might hear, it was rather loud around them. Oh well, it wasn't so bad.
"Fine. I'll talk normally but only cause it seems like you want to hear my voice." Zach was completely joking, but it was fun to play around with Jay. Neither of them saw each other in that way so it was alright. And when he asked the other question, Zachary couldn't help but smile. He, himself, never had any type of sibling growing up, since he was an only child. Yeah, the kids in the park were cool and fun to play with when he was little, but he never felt like he had a bond with anyone other than Jayden, and it was just kind of in a protective way. Becoming brothers wasn't a bad idea really, and it might of been kind of cool knowing someone else was always there for you.
He pretended to think about it a little, like he really had to think. Not like there was much to contemplate, it would just take a while for paperwork to write and then go through the system. Added to the fact they were on an island at the moment, it might be a bit harder than normal. "Of course. It will take a while for everything to be done, but there would be nothing that could make me happier than being you're brother." Truly, Zachary wasn't expecting that question from him, since it wasn't a common thing to do, but it was kind of cool. "Plus, it couldn't sound stupid, cause I actually didn't hear you ask anything." Zach started to laugh, that was his slightly energetic side, he could find a joke in just about anything and then laugh for a while if need be.
Finally they got up to the roller-coaster, and the ride itself couldn't have been longer than a minute. But it was fun. Tall roller-coasters were always fun, it was just those drops that got you. As they exited the ride, he heard the loud speaker go off, wondering what everything was, when he felt the people around him pushing him to the side and out of the way. Since Zach wasn't paying attention to Jayden at the time, by the time he looked over, they weren't in the same spot. Now that wasn't cool. You would think they would have those events planned out in advance, but clearly, this place wasn't all that smart.
Soon the crowd had diminished around him. He had been pulled a bit away from the previous ride they were on and Jayden wasn't in site. You know, the one day we are here, of course this happens. He sighed and took out his phone, the sad thing was, he didn't get a signal long enough to try and get a message out. Of course just their luck. Soon, he was walking around, back towards where he just was, because he hoped that Jay was able to make it to the side and get out of the way of those people. He just hoped that he wasn't taken to some different part of the park where it would just take longer to find each other.
Zachary held up his phone again, seeing if he could hold a bar. "Crappy phone..." He muttered under his breath as he picked up the pace slightly. Maybe Jayden's phone was better than his. Clearly, Zach's phone was just a piece of junk.

Jayden smiled when Zach said yes. It would take a while but Jay didn’t care – his unofficial brother had said yes. Happy with the outcome, Jay went on the ride with Zach and thoroughly enjoyed it even though it was only a minute long. He had been slightly afraid of the heights but he had enjoyed the thrill of the heights and the going down part. Jayden was glad that they had decided to come here, he had a good feeling that he’d enjoy it. Too bad he had forgotten his camera...or had he? Thank god for this brown leather bag! It could handle the cards, his phone, his wallet and anything else he wanted to put in there.
However, just as he had put his hand in the bag, an announcement came on. Quickly Jayden withdrew his hand and buttoned the flap to the rest of the bag. Jay had done that in the nick of time, for a major stampede happened. Jayden silently cursed and was caught in the stampede, separating him and Zach. Worst of all, he was quite short for his age so he wouldn’t be able to see where Zach was. Stupid announcer! Couldn’t they have planned this better? Jay hoped that Zach was alright. Jay looked around to see if he could escape but there didn’t seem to be an opening, not even a small one. Annoyed with this, Jayden shoved people out of the way and made a dash for it. Despite his shoving, the stampede remained relatively intact minus some cussing from the people who’d been shoved. Jayden ran away and stopped to catch his breath. Man that was scary! They really needed to be more organised. Someone could have got hurt.
Ok, now – time to find Zach. If...only I knew where he was
Bluetooth! Thank goodness for phones and wireless connection and all that. He hurriedly got his phone out and....no signal! Wonderful! Oh, wait! Yay, signal! Ok, Bluetooth! Hopefully Zach had left his on. No, damn you Zach! Ok, guess it was up to good old fashioned search and hope for the best. Stuffing his phone in the bag, the mute Otter boy set off at a run. Eventually Jay found him and waved to him. As he was running to him, Jay was hit by something. He landed on the floor. He heard running.
“Dude, you ok? I am so sorry,” said a voice. Jay blinked a few times and then smiled at a group of boys his age. He looked at what had hit him. Checking to make sure he wasn’t bleeding, Jay smiled and got up. Waving good bye to them he managed to get to his “brother”.

There were still a few people around him pushing past him trying to get to where the place that the vampire thing was being held. People pushed past him like it was the biggest event in the world. Was it really that big of a deal? To him, no. To everyone else, clearly it was. These days people had no manors, clearly. Pushing and shoving just to get someplace. It wasn't worth it in his mind, then again, he didn't care for what was going on. If it was something different maybe, but not today. Today was about him, it was about Jayden and him just being bale to have fun. Was that too much to ask? Yes, yes it was.
As Zach's pace picked up a little bit, he was just antsy. He had less patience than Jayden half the time, so not being able to find Jay wasn't good. Not good at all. Then out of the corner of his eye, he saw waving and someone running towards him. He turned just in time to see Jay collide with someone and fall right down. Zachary flinched a little as that happened but the otter seemed to be alright, so he was in no rush and just kept walking after he saw Jay continuing to come closer to him. He watched the other group of guys walk off as well then smiled at Jay, happy that it didn't take too long to find each other.
"It's an exciting day so far, right? Getting trampled, just what I've always wanted...." He trailed off a bit as he shook his head and laughed. "And sorry about the phone, cause you know, mine is a piece of junk. I don't expect it to do everything. It just doesn't like the signal on this island for some reason." He shrugged putting his phone back into his pocket as the two of them continued walking in the park. It was a little less crowded since half the people ran to the vampire weekend. Now it was really nice. Maybe it would stay this way for just a little while to get something else done.
"We could hit a few more rides, then grab something to eat if you want? I'm not sure how hungry you are, or what you want to go on either." Zach said pulling out the map of the park he had with him. It was a nice small one for easy travel around. It was one of those really handy things to always have while you were there.
His eyes scanned over the map a little, seeing where they should avoid, like the place that vampire weekend was playing at. The far corner of the park, and that was easy enough to avoid. They didn't need to go back there for anything really. Some kiddie rides back there and a water show as well. Nothing to important. Zach offered the map to Jay to look at to point to something he might want to do today.

Jayden silently giggled and smiled at Zach’s first comment. Trust Zach to say something like that. Zach could always make Jayden feel better no matter how bad he felt. Maybe that’s why the Chipmunk was the Otter’s closest friend. Small animals tended to stick together though Jayden didn’t really like bugs, and yet he was friends with a fly so he couldn’t really say he didn’t like them. Jayden looked at the seemingly empty space where there was a ton of people before. In a way he was grateful for the vampire event – at least this way they wouldn’t have to wait in long queues, hopefully anyway.
When Jayden thought about Zach’s question and looked down at the map that Zach had offered. If they ate and then went on rides they’d be sick, and that was something he was trying to avoid. Then again they’d be sick (well, maybe Jay might be) if they went on rides straight away. Decisions, decisions. The mute Otter boy looked, still contemplating on what to do. He then had an idea though it may not work. It was worth a try anyway.
<<Why don’t we grab something to eat, wait for our food to go down – so we buy some stuff in the meantime. Then we go on rides – that way we don’t feel sick after. How does that sound to you, bro?>>
Jayden wondered if that did sound good at all. It had sounded good in his head. He hoped Zach was up for that. He was getting hungry and like mum always said, “It’s better to abate the hunger while it’s a seed still. Otherwise the hunger will gnaw at you and you’ll be the hunger in your eyes”. If not, then Jay was up for anything. He smiled at his hopefully-soon-to-be-legal brother, desperately hoping that what he had signed was ok. His phone vibrated and he frowned, expecting it to be Fidel, but it wasn’t. It was Blossom. Oh, yeah – they were going to have a family meet tonight. She was checking to see if he was up for it, to which he replied yes and that he’d see her later. He smiled at Zach and pocketed his mobile before waiting for the answer.
