Clothes: Shirt and Jacket, Pants and ShoesRyland had heard this was the place to be if you needed to find something. It supposedly had everything. If you can't find it here, you're likely not to find it on the island at all. He was only there to look around, but what he really needed to do was shop for some clothes. But he didn't like shopping, unless he really had to. Clothes fell into the "need-to-have" category when he was in human form. It wasn't that he didn't have any at all, but when he had moved to the island, he left part of his clothes at home. That was because they were either too big or too small. He knew his parents had money, but they weren't rich. He never felt the need to brag; despite having money, he preferred to work and he liked to save his money more than spend it. Luckily he wasn't completely against spending, though. Ry had a few nice clothes, like the ones he was wearing now, but a lot his shirts were simple, plain t-shirts. Unless he had decided to color them on his own, which probably wasn't a good idea. But he had never cared what people thought about how he dressed, and he wouldn't start doing it now that he was on this island. The first thing he did, that he usually did when he entered a mall, was help himself to some ice cream. The only part he didn't like was having to stay in the food court until he was finished. Ry was not the type of person to go to the mall if he was in a rush, so he took his time eating it. Brain freeze was not at the top of his list of fun things to have. It probably wasn't at the top of anybody's list. He looked down into the cup at the ice cream. He had gotten rainbow flavored and it was already mixing together, because it was slowly melting. "That's totally unfair," he told himself, eating it as fast as he could without getting brainfreeze. Still, by the time he threw it away, he could feel it as if it were in the back of his mind, trying to push it's way out. Someone caught his eye as they walked passed him, and he spun around to see who they were. He had thought they looked familiar, but couldn't tell by the time he saw them again. Sometimes it was hard to identify people from behind. He felt himself bump into someone; he hadn't realized he had slowly been moving backwards when he was distracted by that person. Ry turned around to see who it was. "Sorry!" Why did it always seem like he was apologizing to someone?Whether he had or hadn't done something wrong wasn't the point. Before he had even been to the island, he hardly ever needed to say sorry. But ever since he had arrived, that was exactly what he had been doing.

Ah, the mall! One of the few places that could be considered a chill out zone of a sorts, since if you didn’t want to shop then you could always sit down with a friend and talk. Currently Jayden was looking at the bookshops sections, seeing what books there were. Granted, Jayden had plenty of unread books at home but you could never have enough books, right? Wrong! In Jayden’s mind, books were one of the ways to make you happy, besides singing and dancing of course.
When he didn’t find anything he wanted in terms of books, he settled on going to buy some new clothes. His wardrobe was lacking somewhat. Not because he kept shifting (well, that was partially the reason) but because he simply wanted to buy clothes. Was that a crime? Of course not! Jayden believed that you shouldn’t spend too much or too little. He wasn’t like those ditzy blondes who loved spending for the hell of it. He found those types of girls rather annoying. Not only were they lacking in the brains department but they couldn’t hold a decent conversation.
Jayden let out a calming sigh, trying to find a gap in the crowd so that he could walk without being crushed. There! Jay seized the opportunity to go. As he was passing, he thought someone he knew from school but didn’t catch them fully as he’d been walking. He then remembered something and went back but didn’t find the item. He then walked back to where he had gone but bumped into someone.
“Sorry.” said a voice.
Jay looked up to see a boy around his age, and smiled apologetic. Just as he was about to get up, some inconsiderate moron stepped on his right hand. Jayden cried out in silent pain and clutched hand. He stayed there for a few seconds before getting up slowly and awkwardly. He gave a small smile to the boy but then winced in pain. He flipped off the person before focussing on the boy. He got a card out of the age, the introductory one.
Hi, I'm Jayden and I'm mute.
Would this boy know sign language? God, Jayden hoped so. He didn’t want to have to keep pulling cards of his bag and he doubted that this boy had the time or the patience with a mute boy in a crowded mall. Oh, why was he born mute? It annoyed him greatly at times.

Ryland thought he saw the boy at Shifter Academy once, but wasn't sure. He wasn't sure if it was his fault that they had bumped into each other, or the boys, or maybe it was mutual. He returned the smile when the boy did and was about to offer his hand when someone stepped on his. And of course the person who did it didn't stop to at least apologize. There could be several reasons for that, such as not even realizing they did it. But more than likely they were embarrassed and didn't want to confront the person they had stepped on.
"Dude, why don't you watch where you're going?" He yelled back at the person whom he thought was the one that had done it.
But he couldn't help but laugh at that situation after he said it. He should probably take his own advice before giving it to someone else. But at least he could say that he didn't run off after he had knocked the boy down. It was partly because he wasn't that mean, but also he knew he would really look like an idiot if the boy had seen him and then he ran away. If they saw each other at school, it wouldn't be anything less than awkward.
By the time he had turned back around, the boy had already gotten back to his feet. He seemed to be okay in the long run, although he could probably still feel the pain somewhat in his hand. He felt kind of bad, because he was the one that had knocked him down. If he had been paying attention, the boy wouldn't have had his hand stepped on. He watched as he pulled out a card and read it. Ryland smiled again after reading it.
He signed with his hands, "Hi. I'm Ryland."
Sign language wasn't his strongest point, but he had learned some. It was kind of difficult for him to make complete conversations out of it. Sometimes he had to switch between sign language and talking, which made him feel like an idiot sometimes. But he thought he should sign, so the boy knew he at least knew some sign language. Surely he didn't like using cards for everything.

Jayden smiled when the boy smiled yelled at the person who crushed his hand but was then surprised when he laughed. This boy was slightly weird. Jayden and Otter were thoroughly pleased when the boy signed his name. Someone else who knew Sign Language, yes! Jayden thought that no one else besides Zach knew how to sign. Pure delight spread over the mute boy’s face. He lifted his left hand up and began to sign.
<<I can’t believe you know sign language! Who taught you? Oh never mind that, shall we go somewhere to sit down?>>
Jayden didn’t know how much Ryland knew of Sign Language. He so couldn’t wait to talk to this guy. Before the guy had time to answer, the mute Otter boy dragged him to a bench, sitting down. He patted the space next to him, hoping that the boy would understand and wouldn’t get all peculiar. He knew that some guys were complete homophobes. However, it was their loss if they didn’t want to get to know the guy behind the gayness or bi...ness. Who were they to judge anyway? Not all the gay and bi guys fancied them. What sickened the mute boy about homophobes was the fact that straight guys tended to think that they were God’s gift to women when they really weren’t and badmouthed gay and bi people because they didn’t like women. It was so annoying! It’s called having feelings, idiots!
Focus, dimwit!
Jayden mentally shook and cursed himself. Damn, daydreaming! Jayden decided to clear his head of all thoughts and focus on Ryland. He smiled at the guy.
<<Sorry, was daydreaming. So, why haven’t we spoken before? You seem nice enough. Oh Lord, no – not in that way. I meant as friends, sorry>>
At this, Jayden became flustered and blushed, looking away from the boy. Why did everything have to have a double meaning nowadays? Jayden mentally sighed and looked back at Ry. Jayden decided to let that comment slide and start the whole conversation over again. He hoped that Ryland would think that he was odd. He didn’t need some kid thinking he was odd. He had enough of a hard time communicating to people in general as it was.
After a few seconds pause, the Otter boy decided to get to know this boy somewhat. He was nice enough to yell at someone who had crushed his hand, and who knows, he might make a cool friend. He had some cool friends already but hey, the more the merrier, eh?
<<So, what are you majoring in?>>

Ryland grinned when the boy realized he knew sign language. Maybe he didn't come across many people who knew sign language. But it really wasn't like most people knew how to do it. He watched him sign, and before he could respond to any of his questions, Jayden had grabbed his arm and was pulling him somewhere. Probably to sit down since that was just what he had said. The boy gestured for him to sit down beside him and he did. This wasn't exactly what he had expected to happen when he visited the mall, but he didn't mind.
<<Sorry, was daydreaming. So, why haven’t we spoken before? You seem nice enough. Oh Lord, no – not in that way. I meant as friends, sorry>>
He watched his hand as he signed and laughed. So far Ry thought he would be pretty cool and he seemed funny. One bad thing about sign language, is you had to be looking to understand what someone wanted to say. But he hadn't learned sign language because of pure interest. He had learned, for this very reason. That way anybody who communicated through sign language, he could understand.
<<I haven't been here long. I think I saw you in the hall, but I'm not the type of guy to just talk to random people in the hallway.>>
Not unless he bumped into them or something. He could picture himself doing that, though. Just walking up to someone who was walking in the opposite direction and start talking. But he really wasn't that type of person.
<<You're gay? Don't worry, I have nothing against gay people and I won't think you mean everything that way.>>
Ryland had never been with a boy person before, so it wasn't completely crossed off his list, but he considered himself straight. If anybody asked, he would say he liked girls. He looked around for a second, having almost forgot that they were in a mall. When he signed, he lost a lot of focus on the stuff around him, because he concentrated on signing and watching what the other person signed back. He hadn't done it enough to be able to focus on both completely. Ry turned back to Jayden as he signed again.
Ry smiled. He wasn't sure how to say instrumental in sign language. For some reason he hadn't quite learned that yet. Maybe if they got to know each other a little better, the boy could help him out a little on a few that he couldn't sign.
"Instrumental Music. You?"

<<I haven't been here long. I think I saw you in the hall, but I'm not the type of guy to just talk to random people in the hallway.>>
Jayden smiled and gave off a little chuckle at what Ry had signed. Funny how people always said that but they did anyway. Jay tried not to do so much. He thought it freaked people out. However, so far, he had been lucky - he had met all of his friends through a mutual love towards something like Allie and Roxxi for example. Or he had just become friends with them, like Zach for example. Or he had become a listener for someone, like Anja for example. He briefly wondered what Ryland would become to him. He then smiled a little at Ryland’s next “statement”
<<No, not gay – bi, and thank you. Some people are complete homophobes, which I find rather annoying if I'm being honest.>>
He was glad that Ryland didn’t have anything against gay or bi people – a bonus in Jayden’s opinion, and it was something that the Otter liked too. People shouldn’t discriminate against people who liked the same sex or both sexes, it was retarded. If he did ever did find a homophobe, he’d put them in their place, by punching their big fat head! It could be said that Jayden has some sort of anger but of course he would never admit that. If anyone asked, he would simply lie.
Instrumental music, huh? Cool. To show that he found what his new acquaintance had just said was cool, the mute boy gave a thumbs up. When Ryland asked what Jayden was majoring in, the mute Eleventh Grader had to think about what the sign for Mythology was for a minute, and it showed as his brow was creased in concentration. He also wasn’t sure if Ryland knew the sign for Mythology so he decided to get the card out.
I'm majoring in Mythology – it’s way cool.
He smiled as he held out the card. Once again, he allowed the new acquaintance to read the card before putting it back in his bag. Jayden then thought about how Ryland knew sign language, whereas the others didn’t.
<<Ry, how do you know Sign Language? I only have one friend who can sign quite well, and I'm teaching two of my other friends. You’re the only person who can sign well enough. Maybe I can teach you if you don’t know some of the signs. Besides how often do you across a deaf or mute person?>>

<<My bad.>>
He smiled.
<<I suppose a random encounter depends on someone's definition of random.>>
What he had been referring to when he had said that a minute ago kind of referred to the type of people that wanted to meet everybody, or didn't mind saying hi to whoever. Such as someone just walking down the hallway and saying hi to someone headed their way, and they didn't even know them. His encounter with Jay was kind of random too, now that he thought about it. One minute they're bumping into each other, the next they're getting onto whoever stepped on his hand, and now they were sitting down talking.
<<I know the feeling.>> He paused. <<Well, I'm not bi but I don't like those who think they have the right to tell people what's right or wrong when it comes to something like that.>>
It was understandable to say, if someone stole something, that what they did was wrong. Even if they had a good reason, like stealing food because they were starving and had no money, that didn't make it right. But it did give them more of a reason to do it and he wouldn't blame them. But for this situation, who really knows what is right or wrong? Probably the people who thought they were perfect and knew everything.
He laughed when Jayden gave him a thumbs up. Ry was already beginning to like him. He watched him concentrate, wondering if he was trying to figure out how to tell him. Ry did have trouble signing/understanding subject names. He only new simple subjects, like math or english. Finally the boy began pulling something out of his bag and he watched quietly. It was another card. He read it quietly to himself, before it was put away again.
<<That sounds awesome. I didn't think I'd meet anybody who was majoring in that. Have you been here long?>>
Jayden signed again to him, about right after he replied to him majoring in Mythology. It was nice to know they were getting along fairly well to have just randomly met like they did. He guessed he was right about most people not familiar with sign language.
<<My aunt teaches sign language. She taught me, since I wanted to know how to do it.>>
His thoughts went back to when he first started. At the time he had been wondering what he had gotten himself into. It really was a lot of work, and this was the first time he really had to use it to talk to someone. But it seemed worth the effort and he was sure Jayden appreciated it as well.
<<Not very often. You're the first person I've had to carry whole conversations with sign language, besides my aunt. By the way, it would be really nice if you could help me out on a few signs I don't know. Thanks for the offer.>>

This guy was seriously cool -- both the boy and the Otter thought so. So his Aunt had taught him, pretty cool. He’d only got here, huh. He was sure he would’ve met him by now. He looked about fourteen, the same age that Jayden himself had been when he had started at the Academy. Wow – so many similarities between them. Jayden smiled at Ryland. Well, he now knew he had made another friend. He didn’t know why people found it hard to befriend one another – it wasn’t that hard. You just had to find a common interest or hobby that you both shared. That was how Jayden had met two of his friends, Roxxi and Alethia, Zach too. The relationship with Zach had become stronger over so maybe his and Ryland’s relationship would be the same.
<<No problem, dude, I’ve been at the Academy since 9th Grade – I'm in 11th Grade now. Hey - do you mind if we exchange numbers? Only if you want to that is>>
He got his phone out, ready and waiting, just in case. Maybe they could go for a walk or go for something to eat. They could get to know each other better that way. But only if Ryland wanted to – Jayden wasn’t going to force him to do anything he didn’t want to. Jayden would never try to force someone to do something that they didn’t want to do. Jayden silently sighed. Jayden had a place where they could go.
<<Random question but do you need new clothes? ‘cos I was just on my way to get some myself, and being part girl, maybe I can help you out. What do you think?>>
Jayden gave a small smile at the last part. It was true, since he was bisexual it meant he was part girl, and no – it didn’t mean he wore dresses and put make-up on or anything like that. It just meant that he was up-to-date on fashion through some of his girlfriends. They clued him up on the latest fashion and whatnot. However, if they tried to talk to him about celebrities, he’d be run faster than a cheetah – well, not literally but you get the point. All Jayden was interested in was the clothes that were suitable for boys.
Jayden then had a thought. Today was Tuesday – maybe on the weekend they could hang out. Jayden had finished lessons and was up-to-date with homework hence why he was here. He wondered why Ryland was here. Jayden wouldn’t ask though, he deemed the question too rude.

Ryland smiled slightly. So Jay was two grades above his own. All the people he had met soon seemed to be spread out among the grades, which was good. Except he didn't really know any of the younger students yet: the sixth to eighth graders. But maybe he would get around to them sooner or later. He still had plenty of time to introduce himself to them if he really wanted.
<<So you're the guy to text if I get lost?>>
He was teasing of course. Luckily he remembered to say texting instead of calling. Speaking of texting... Ryland nodded at his question. Getting his number would be great, because so far, they seemed to be getting along perfectly fine. Besides that, he didn't have many contacts from the school yet. He still had to ask some people he had met since he had been there.
<<Yeah, sure. That would be great. My number is 937 4331.>>
Ry figured he knew it was the default 403 area code, so left that part out. Plus he had just said that he had been there since ninth grade, and he seemed to have common sense too. He pulled his own phone out of his pocket and found his contacts list so he could add a new number. After quickly doing that, he looked back up at him and smiled. He himself was a loner, like an eagle, but his human side of needing some friends had been coming out ever since he arrived. Plus, if he didn't get his friends here, where would he get them at? It was hard to be friends with someone that you couldn't tell about your shift. Even worse, if it slipped..that would be bad news. You couldn't be friends with people you had to lie to, even if you were lying to protect a secret such as what they had.
<<Random question but do you need new clothes? ‘cos I was just on my way to get some myself, and being part girl, maybe I can help you out. What do you think?>>
Ry was delighted to hear him mention this. Even though he hated shopping, it was much funner to go with someone else. That probably made him sound like a girl, but it was true. Besides that, they couldn't keep sitting there in that one spot and talk all day. If they wanted to get to know each other better, it would be easier to go and do something together.
<<Sounds great. I was just thinking earlier that I needed some more clothes.>>
Again, he wasn't losing them because of shifting, but because half of his too small or too big clothes were at his home in California.

Jayden smiled and silently chuckled at Ryland’s statement. He got his phone ready and saw the numbers that Ry signed – he knew the local area code so he didn’t put it in front of the number. Once he had saved the number to his phone Jayden sent a text to Ryland with his number inside the text and a little greeting. He smiled back at Ryland. The Otter sensed the boy had an animal which wasn’t of the land. He would ask that question later but right now, it seemed that Ryland had accepted his offer to go shopping with him.
He smiled – he should really stop that – and stood up, putting the phone back in his bag. This was so great! Not only had he made another friend but he had someone else to teach Sign Language to. Jayden loved teaching people Sign Language, it was rewarding when they were able to sign something by memory. So far, he was teaching Allie, Fidel and Roxxi, with Ryland now becoming another student. Maybe he should do a group session some time. That way, Fidel could meet some of his friends and his friends could meet his new beau. He just hoped that everyone would play nicely otherwise he may have to maul someone and he didn’t really feel like doing that. At least not to any of friends – he’d never forgive himself if he mauled any of his friends. However, then again – he hadn’t mauled any of his friends – only really annoying people who had insulted him.
He looked around – thinking about which shops they could go to. He didn’t know how much Ryland had but he figured that, being a guy, he didn’t want to shop around that much, and he probably had other things to do too. Jayden himself didn’t want to spend that much, and knowing Fidel, he’d probably text Jay soon, which meant that the Otter boy would have to cut his shopping trip short, which would be annoying. Man, having a partner was annoying at times but he had to admit, he did like Fidel. He had asked around but some of the responses were negative so Jay didn’t know if he should wait and see what happens or if he should confront the boy about his egotistical and book throwing now before something happened between them. Jayden had been in relationships before, of course who hadn’t? Unless the person was celibate or a virgin.

"Sorry, hang on."
His phone had vibrated once and was playing a Nickelback song. One he had placed as a ringtone for texts. He didn't want Jay to sign while he wasn't looking and thought he should warn him, so he did. Once he had checked, he realized it was Jay after all and laughed. Maybe he didn't need to hang on after all. He saved the number in his phone and set the ringtone for him to the other Nickelback song he had set for his friends.
Ryland stood up when Jay did and placed his phone in his pocket as he watched the boy look around. Maybe he was looking for them a place to shop. There were plenty of clothing shops around, so he figured they could find one and stop if it seemed interesting. It just depended on how much money they both had with them and how much they wanted to spend. Since he was still looking, he decided to speak up. But it was so loud where they were at, that he had to lean a bit closer to speak to him.
"Let's go look around and we can stop if we see one that looks interesting."
He grabbed his arm and pulled him through the crowd to the other side where the traffic of people were going the way they needed to go, and let go. Smiling, he led the way to the first clothing shop he came to. Something caught his eye and he stopped to look at them. It was a bunch of hats. Very colorful hats too. He picked up one that looked like a Cat in the Hat and put it on. It was blue and green. He pulled another one off and held it out to Jay to put on. If he wanted to, that was.
"Come on!"
Ry didn't figure he would buy it, but he wanted to at least try it on. They were kind of cool in his opinion. There was also a cat in the hat mask with them. It wasn't really a clothing item, but he picked it up anyways and put it on. Personally he liked the Cat in the Hat movie, but it had been awhile since he had seen it. The straps were a little itchy and clung tightly to his skin. He hoped they weren't going to pinch him. That didn't usually feel very good.
<<What do you think?>>
He tilted his head and started making cat noises. Well the best he could at least. He could tell it was causing people to stare at him, but luckily he didn't care all that much. Plus it wasn't as if they could tell who he was. That was the point of a mask. To hide your identity. Well, usually that was the point.
<<Does it fit me?>>

Jayden jumped slightly when Ryland spoke up. It was quite loud in the mall, and Jay hadn’t been looking his new friend’s hands so he was thankful that Ryland had spoken up. Then, before Jayden could sign anything, Ryland grabbed his arm and moved him through the crowd, much how he had done a few minutes ago. God, when people shopped, they really shopped! He was pulled to where Ryland wanted him to go and found a smiling Ryland near a clothes shop. The mute guy was then led to where a bunch of hats were and Ry held out a hat for him, if he wanted to try it on that is.
Not wanting to be rude, Jay smiled and put it on.
“Come on!”
Now, Jayden would never wear hats like these. They were slightly odd in his opinion but it was a shopping trip, after all, and he was with another person so he had to be kind. When Ryland put on the mask that was inside and made cat sounds, Jay silently laughed, not caring if people were looking. Why should they be prim and proper? They were kids after all, and unless they had had strict parents, kids were far from being prim and proper. Kids were meant to have fun and people who stared were just dull who conformed to the “proper, civilised” way of doing things.
When asked if the hat fit Ry, Jay gradually stopped silently laughing and looked at Ryland critically before answering with a, <<define fit. Do you mean does it suit you or do you mean does it fit your head? ‘cos in my opinion, it doesn’t suit you, sorry.>>
People needed to be clear on what they meant. It annoyed him when people said one thing but meant another. Why couldn’t they just say what they meant? Everything would be simpler. Jay hadn’t meant to be so blunt but he didn’t want to lie. It didn’t exactly suit him. Jay took his own off and put it back before spotting body warmers. He clapped his hands happily whilst jumping up and down. He subsequently dragged his friend to where they were and handed one to him. Jayden picked one himself and after gazing at himself in the mirror, he approved, he’d buy it. He gestured for Ry to put his on. Jay thought that Ryland would look good in a body warmer.

Ryland never had that much fun with shopping. Probably because he usually had to do it by himself. Sure, he had only just met Jayden, but he hadn't ever had much trouble in bonding with people. This kid also seemed to be the playful type who liked to have fun and he liked to have fun, so at least they had that much in common. It was weird how manys ways you could meet someone. At least he hadn’t gotten mad at him when he bumped into him. Fighting over something like that was lame, especially in the mall. He pulled the mask and hat off as Jay signed.
<<define fit. Do you mean does it suit you or do you mean does it fit your head? ‘cos in my opinion, it doesn’t suit you, sorry.>>
<<Is that a no?>> Ry laughed. <<Both I guess.>>
He watched as his friend got excited over something and just barely had time to put the hat and mask back before he was the one being dragged somewhere again. When he turned back around, he was looking at body warmers. Looks like his friend had a thing for body warmers, not freaky, colorful hats. Then again, he wasn’t going to buy the hats. He had only wanted to try them on. Just for fun. He watched him try one of the body warmers on and examine himself in a mirror. By the look on his face, he could tell he liked it. When he turned back around, he gestured for him to try his on. Ry laughed.
<<Hey, that looks good on you.>>
Ry took the black body warmer that was given to him and pulled off his jacket before trying it on. It was comfortable to say the least. He stood in front of the mirror an examined the body warmer. It did look good as well. Truthfully he didn’t own any of them. Not yet anyways. Okay, so maybe this looked better on him than the hat. Maybe he should have looked at himself in the mirror with that on first.
<<Well, what about this one?>>
He pulled it off and examined the inside. Well he thought it was nice and figured Jay would too. Unless he just wanted to put something ridiculous on him to get him back for having him try on the hat. But he doubted that was the case. Ryland pulled his jacket back on.
<<Wow, you're good.>> This he signed when he turned back to his friend. <<Are you going to buy that?>>

<<Hey, that looks good on you.>>
Jayden smiled and gave a thumbs up. Of course it looked good on Jayden. Jay looked good in body warmers, jeans and mainly hoodies – hence why he had so many of them. He liked this one and so would probably buy it. He looked at Ryland when the boy examined himself. The body warmer suited him. He should buy it. He pulled another one from the rack and tried it, examining himself. Satisfied with the look this body warmer gave him Jayden put it with the other body warmer. Thank god he had just remembered he had a debit card. Two body warmers should be ok. He didn’t want to spend too much on clothes unnecessarily.
The mute boy looked at Ryland’s hands and smiled. <<You should buy it if you like it. Bet you don’t own anything like this either so it’ll be good for you to have something like this>>
Jayden smiled at his new friend’s compliment. He hadn’t expected Ryland to like the body warmer. He would have thought that Ry wasn’t into that sort of clothing, though then again, he did look good in a body warmer. When asked if he was going to buy them Jay nodded and smiled brightly.
<<Are you?>>
Once Jayden was happy with his selection of body warmers, he went to the jeans section, taking the body warmers with him. He knew what jeans he would buy – he had seen them the last time he had come here. He instantly got them out and threw a pair at Ryland, a small smirk on his lips. He went to the changing rooms and put them on, coming out to briefly look at himself before going back inside and changing. Being bisexual had its pros and cons like anything else and sometimes Jayden really wondered if he was bisexual but then something happened that confirmed his sexuality. Plus, being part girl meant that he could shop for clothes and find the right stuff.
Jayden smiled at Ryland and asked if he was buying the jeans too. He then stood there, wondering if he was going to buy any more clothes or not. If he was, he would need to decide fast. He then looked to Ryland.
<<You cool shopping? ‘cos we could always do something you want to do. I'm fine with doing whatever. By the way, don’t feel obligated to sign for me. I don’t mind if you talk using your voice>>
Jayden smiled at Ryland and then waited for his answer.

Ryland watched him pull another body warmer from the rack and then looked back down at the one he was given. If he had known they looked good on him, he probably would have bought one a long time ago. Or possibly two, in case something ever happened to the first one. Like it got lost, or torn or something like that. It was funny how much more fun he had shopping with someone, rather than by himself. It just wasn’t as fun. But he had only met Jay earlier and now they were shopping together. Then again, he didn’t really have problems making friends. He laughed and shrugged as Jay commented.
<<You’re right. I don’t own any body warmers.>>
Jay seemed to be going to buy both of the ones he had picked up. He must really like them or something. For himself, he thought he would buy just the one body warmer for now. If he decided he liked it even more and wanted another, he could always go buy one. He nodded when asked if he was going to buy it. The boy moved over to a rack full of jeans and instantly tossed him one. After watching him go into a changing room, he picked an empty one to change into. They seemed to fit, although he thought it was probably a coincidence. Jayden couldn’t possibly know what size he wore after all. He nodded again when asked if he was going to buy the pants.
<<Sure. I like them and it wouldn’t hurt to add another pair to my collection.>>
Ryland thought about what else they could do to waste more time besides shopping. He really didn’t have anything else that he could do at the moment. Nothing more entertaining then hanging out with someone he just met, but at a glance people probably couldn’t tell at all. After a moment, an idea came to him. He smiled at him when he said he didn’t have to sign for him.
<<It’s no problem. This is basically the reason I learned it. Otherwise I have no use for it. Also, I was thinking… how about we get something to eat before we go?>>
He hadn’t actually ate in awhile now that he thought about it. Ry had skipped breakfast that morning for whatever reason. Now his stomach was making him regret it, but he had actually forgotten about it while he was busy shopping and trying out weird stuff.
