Major Explanation: [Ryan has a bunch of different interests, but Psychology is what he’s most interested in. He just loves to know what people are thinking and why they act like they do. This goes into hand with animals and why they act like they do and everything. Sugar gliders express what they feel by their vocal sounds. To know what their trying to tell you, you need to know what sound means what. Also all animals express themselves in different ways and act why they act from events they been through like humans. This is why Ryan’s major is Psychology because he wants to know all about this. ]

Ryan is a really nice person. He likes to help anyone he can. But not by the whole carry your bags or anything like that. The way he likes to help people is with advice. He will listen to people without saying a thing to them till their done talking. Ryan is always there for people to talk to or just there to be with. As long as he feels he’s helped in some way or form. This is the only way he thinks he can help people by listening to them and then giving them some useful advice or just being there by their side through anything they need. Speaking of advice he gives great advice. He's smart enough to say something that would make you think. Weather it would be something that would make you rethink your action. Or something that would make you rethink life. Or just something that doesn’t make sense to you but to him; but he won’t tell you what it means.

Ryan says everything with the utmost intelligence and thought. You can always tell that he thought a lot about his words he chooses to say. Though he really never does think much about them, unless he doesn’t answer quickly than you know he is really thinking about it. He chooses his words very carefully all the time. This is what really makes him sound intelligent. He doesn’t refer to slang talk or anything like that. He always has something to say about anything you can think of. If he doesn’t say anything than he might not want to say it; Ryan picks when he wants to say what at what time. Or he could just not have thought about it hard enough. Most of the things he talks about or what other people talk about usually finds their way back to Ryan. For he thinks about it and then thinks of things he would have said or done. This goes in hand that he rethinks what he said and he thinks of what he else he could have said. To either make it better or just out of his own curiosity. This also happens in situations he gets in.

Ryan is very sweet and Kindhearted. He wouldn’t hurt anyone unless he’s trying to get them to see something inside of them. Like something he can see but that person can not. Ryan is always trying to help people with their self-esteem or self-confidence; people have different ways of building them. But this isn’t the only way he is sweat and kindhearted. Ryan is sweet because of mostly how he acts. He always has a sweet demeanor; some say it’s because he’s always smiling when his friends are with him. Others say it’s because he looks so cute, and others says it’s because of how he says things in a way that makes you think he’s sweet and nice. Which he does not knowingly but he loves when people say he’s sweet and nice; it makes him blush. I already went through as to why he’s kindhearted mostly. He doesn’t like seeing anyone hurt; even when he hurts them. Ryan feels guilty inside for doing it. But he feels better about it when they grow from what he said. If not than he keeps his guilt to himself.

Ryan like most other people doesn’t like the feeling of messing up. It makes him feel like he’s worthless. Like everyone else feels when they mess up. With this said he doesn’t like people to help him with anything. Ryan wants to do it on his own; he doesn’t like people thinking he's weak and can’t do anything by himself just because he’s blind. Ryan is very independent. He does almost everything by himself, and if he doesn’t know how to do something he learns how. This is the only time he lets people help him with anything; is when he needs or wants to learn something. Also the only people he doesn’t mind helping him is the people he’s really close to; like say his brother. Ryan doesn’t like people to see his weak side so he hides it under layers of independence. He hides this and then breaks down when he’s alone. Like stated before he feels worthless; and this is something he doesn’t like feeling.

Ryan is a very sociable person. In fact he needs company from others or he goes intodepression. He loves to just have fun. He doesn’t get bored easily like some people do. He can be doing the smallest thing and he won’t be bored. He loves to spend time with people no matter what it is. It is very easy for Ryan to make friends. For he can be relaxed and calm or he can be hyper; it all depends on his mood, the time and place and who he is with. He wouldn’t show his hyper side to people he knew would get annoyed. But when you first meet him he is laid back and intelligent. He can also be a bit shy when meeting him in person. He won’t say much, if you ask him a question it would be a short and sweet answer. Ryan wouldn’t come and talk to you first either unless he really needed to. This goes with anyone he does or does not know. Seeing how he can’t see anyone he wouldn’t know it was you or not so he wouldn’t even try unless he heard your voice.

Ryan is very loyal. He would do anything for his close friends, love ones and family. If you have him as a friend he would always be your friend. No matter what you do, he will never give up on you. He is very naïve when someone is using him. He just doesn’t know it and believes you no matter what you say as long as it’s not something totally stupid. He will fight for what’s right, only with words though. But he keeps himself calm and never gets too out of hand. To him it’s more a discussion not a fight. If he has the power he will never back down and there’s nothing you can say or do to change his mind. He figures thing out on his own. He will always say he’s sorry to a friend if he was wrong and will always tell them they were right.

He never shows his emotions based on his body language. He feels he should be open about the way he feels in words not through his body. He always has his head held high and body posture the same. He is always concerned for everyone and their problems. He takes them into deep thought and helps them out; no matter what it is. To tell you the truth he’s concerned about everything and always has an opinion about it. He doesn’t really follow the rules when he doesn’t think its right. You can say he’s a rebel like that. If you are one of his close friends he always shows you just how much you mean to him. By hugging, kissing your check, or even going the extra mile calling you sweet heart. Also if you are a very, very close friend he will go to you looking for comfort, some to talk to about his own problems. His respect for people are limited, he only respects people he feels deserve it. To him this is by many ways.

body: First off his eyes. Are Green/blue color; there is nothing really special about them. His eyes never really move, seeing how he is blind he can’t see anything so what’s there to look at? He can see light, like if there’s a light source he can see it; like the sun, but everything else is black. He almost always has eye liner and sometimes eye shadow on. He’s not really sure why he puts it on but he just likes doing it. His hair is quite unusual. Though he has no clue what it really looks like. He really has a mental picture from running his hands through it. The front of his hair is blonde while the back is black. This is not his natural hair color. He got his hair dyed by hair stylist, why his hair is this color and way is thank to his brother. His hair style always changes; this is also thanks to his brother. It never really stays the same for more than four months. Right now his hair is pretty short for him. His hair goes down to his ears but a couple parts are longer than that which goes down to his shoulderand some are also shorter becuase he has layers in his hair. He does have bangs that go down to his eyes. He usually has his hair spiked out in the back with hair gel. Ryan’s body structure is pretty good. He is fairly skinny; weighing about 135 pounds. He does work out somewhat. Doing pushups and sit ups, also jogging when he has the chance with his dog; and weight lifting with his brother. He is 5, 4 in height, he’s very short for his age and gender. But he really doesn’t mind.


Clothing: Ryan style is plain, but on the other hand very unique. He really doesn’t care what he wears but in the outcome he’s more stylish then you think. Ryan wears mostly gray, white, and black. But sometimes he will wear more colors than that. It’s not that’s he’s depressed or emo or anything it’s just how he dresses. He only wears pants; mostly jeans though, sometimes he will even wear skinny jeans. He mostly wears tight shirts and can be seen wearing a tank top sometimes. Most of his shirts have graphics on them, or are kind of gothic. Sneakers or boots it really matter to him. You will never see him wear shorts unless he has to for gym, or if it’s his boxers in his room, or if there swim trunks. Hats, gloves and scarves he will wear but a tie he won’t. He also wears sunglasses almost all the time. He will wear jewelry this is something he doesn’t mind doing. On a side note his brother is the one who picked all his clothes and jewelry out.

Sugar glider: As a sugar glider Ryan is about the size of the palm of your hand maybe even smaller. He is about 5 inches in length and weighs about 120 grams. He has a long bushy tail that is 20 cm long which is about the same size as his body maybe even longer. He has very thick soft grey mink-like fur with a black strip starting from his nose to the full length of his body in line with the spine. He also has black rings around his eyes and a lighter shade of black around his nose. The last couple of inches on his tail are black. His under belly, neck and some of his face is a cream color.

Ryan was born in Germany. He was born on the 11 of October in the year of 1993. He's the son of Lilly and Arlen Hoffman. Lilly isn’t German in the slightest. But she fell in love with him on her vacation to Germany when she was a teen. He translated for her. Lilly is American by blood. They had Ryan’s older brother, their first born a couple years after they got married. Then years later they had Ryan. This is where his story comes in. Ryan was born blind. A day after his birth the nurses noticed that he wouldn’t look at anyone or anything. The Doctor claimed he was blind. Arlen and Lily listened to the doctor when he said their son was blind. Weeks after Ryan’s parent’s definitely knew he was blind for he wouldn’t look at anyone or thing. Ryan and his family stayed in Germany for ten more years before they moved to the U.S in the state Lily’s family is in. But I’ll get to that later.

Ryan grew up in a normal family, although with different things here and there. Like that his parent’s over protecting him with everything. Where his brother was protective over him but let him do things on his own. Ryan got away with doing a lot of things. This is probably why he doesn’t like rules much. For rules around the house when he was little didn’t apply to him. But this changed when he started school. Ryan didn’t listen to any of the rules in school. He figured they wouldn’t apply to him just like the rules in his house. But this wasn’t the case of course. He was tease and picked on for being blind, His favorite quote even now is ‘he’s as blind as a bat’. Ryan didn’t tell anyone he got picked on and his brother wanted to tell everyone off, but he thought it would just make the teasing worse. But no one dared hit him, not even the bullies at his school dared to do that. Ryan only knew one reason though. Because if they got caught the teachers would blame them not himself for he is blind.

Years past and the teasing stayed with him. He had no friends what so ever. So instead Ryan grew close to his brother and dog, Cassie. Also he worked on everything he could to be smarter than them. He was going to show them he was just like them, or even better than them. Ryan would be eight at this point. This is where he started to wonder just what it was that really made them tease him. He wanted to know how the human mind worked. Ryan had written an essay about how he would like to know more about how the mind worked. His teacher talked to him and suggested that he would be interested in Psychology. This is how that started. I guess everyone would have guessed it this way no? So Ryan looked up all sorts of Psychology stuff. There are many fields he wants to learn as he grows older. But since he’s only in elementary school he couldn’t study the subject in school. But instead went to getting books and suffering the internet.

All of this stayed the same till after he turned ten. His father lost his job, so there was no income coming in at the moment and no one else would hire his dad for reasons unknown in the little town they lived in. His mother was pregnant with Ryan’s one and only little sister. His mother suggested that they visit her family in the United States over the summer. Everyone liked this idea for none of them except Ryan’s father had met her family. So coming that summer they went and visited family. Ryan liked it in the United States. The family’s neighbor's children were nice to them and very welcoming. Ryan had made some friends and so did his brother. Ryan’s parent’s decided it would be best for all of them to start on a new path in life. And now that Ryan and Aaron (His brother) were older their parents told them the family secret. All of you would know what the secret would be but I’ll tell you anyway. The family secret from both sides of the family is that their all aliens! Haha just kidding no it’s that their shifters.

His brother turned on his fourteenth birthday around midnight. He had shifted into a lemur. After this Ryan wondered what animal he would turn into. He thought he would turn into a bat. But that wasn’t the case, again story for later. He went to school like any other ten year old. Life was kind of normal for him he just had more friends than he did in Germany. Kids still teased him for being blind, and would talk behind his back, and calling him names. But he really didn’t care anymore. It was really something he got used to. Nothing else really happened to him for another couple years. He stared middle school when he was 11 and his brother was going to go to shifter academy but refused and stayed with Ryan and the family. Ryan turned when he was thirteen. He turned into a sugar glider.

Ryan turned around midnight on his birthday. He had the greatest day. They celebrated him turning into a teen. It was just his parents, his brother, and his sister, but he couldn’t have wanted it any other way. At the time of the shift he was in his bed with his dog who was sleeping next to him. He had a nightmare and he woke up sweating. This is when he starts to shift. He heard bones crack and felt bones shrink. It was very painful for him to go through. His head start to hurt and his body started to feel less painful. Although his whole body ached and even though he was blind he knew he had shifted. Though into what he could not imagine. Ryan knew it had to be something small and four legged with a long tail. How you say because well he can feel how small his body is and everything else. His dog had watched the whole thing, and started to bark when her owner didn’t look like himself anymore. Ryan could hear her whines through the whole process and felt bad for the dog not knowing what was making her owner in pain. He heard his family come into the room and they told him he had turned into a sugar glider.

After that not much changed. He grew smarter and went through puberty. But in the middle there is a story I have to tell you. The story of how Ryan became bisexual. Of course a lot of girls had flirted with him and became friends with him. He only had one girlfriend ever which didn’t end well, she cheated on him or well a lot of guys really. But that’s beside the point now back to the story. A new family had moved into the house across from Ryan’s. This family had two teens twins if ya wanted to know. One girl one boy, they both had developed a crush on him. Though he didn’t know it at the time he became friends with both of them. After awhile Ryan also developed a crush on the one boy. After this they went out and had a relationship but this didn’t last. They had some differences and Ryan couldn’t take it anymore and broke it off. He was so glad to get out of that town a few weeks after they broke up. He now has two people hating him, though it’s nothing new to him. Yes when I say get out of the town I mean he is now at shifter academy at 17 years old.

Both use their voice to communicate. Sugar gliders use different sounds to express themselves instead of body language. Ryan is the same way he says how he feels when he wants to and does not use his body language.
Both likes gliding: Sugar gliders do it because it’s what they do. Ryan does it because he feels free. Like nothing can stop him. Although for him to glide around he would need someone to watch him.
Both exercise if they can: Sugar gliders exercise whenever they can and so does Ryan. (Not sure how to explain this more.)
Both are clean: Sugar gliders are very clean animals. Ryan also takes time to make sure he’s cleaned and showered and to make sure his stuff is clean also.
