Fidel put the key in the lock and left it. He smiled and said quietly to himself "There you go, Zander." he had probably pissed the kid off while they were on the c-box. but Fidel hoped that maybe it would make him calm down a bit.
To be honest, Fidel didn't know a whole lot about Mel. To him, Mel was the blond kid who lived a floor up. Fidel tried not to involve himself in the affairs of the people in his living space. Even his roommates... especially his roommates. The only reason he had tried to talk it out with Zander because he knew how bad it was to have that Aoi guy as an enemy. He could care less who got this Mel kid, whoever he was, he just didn't want someone getting mauled or emotionally scarred. It wasn't "soft" of him to want that right?
That was pretty much his biggest fear at this moment in time. 'Going soft', when he realized how long it had been since he had seen Jay, he had panicked became moody. That is, until he realized how... weak that was. So, he stuffed his emotions deep inside himself, allowing the fear of being left without closure to eat away at him. AS long as he looked strong an confidant to everyone else, what happened to him in the long run didn't matter. After all! He was Fidel! The guy who pissed off teachers and got away with it! Still that steady, dull gnawing never quite left him. It almost felt painful.
That was the reason he had decided to go out tonight. Maybe if he went to the big island, away from all of these shifters and back around regular people he could clear his mind a little. But he wasn't going to be alone. For some reason he had invited Dymetri. He was still trying to remember why. Maybe it was because he was sick of feeling like some kind of outsider. Dymetri was, after all, one of the few people he could actually refer to as a friend. A real friend. What else do you call someone who helped you out after you fell out of a window and snapped your collarbone in two?
Whatever it was, Fidel was itching for some action. He had cooked up a few ideas. He just hoped Dymi was up for a bit of trouble.
A blast of cool air met Fidel at the door. Fidel drew in a deep breath and looked out at the night scenery. A thick fog had settled over the Shifter Academy Island, and probably part of the big island. Shutting the door he walked into it and was swallowed up. It felt like a detective novel. Scene set: The furtive thief silently stole across the lawn as darkness fell, draped in thick dark mist.
Fidel was far from. Instead of 'silently stealing', Fidel pulled his hood up over his hat so that the bill stuck out a little, and stuffed his hands into his hoodie pocket. As for the silent bit, Fidel went along, happily whistling a made-up tune as he was swallowed up by the dense fog.
He knew where he was going, despite the reduced visibility and was at the pier in no time. One of the last ferrys sat bobbing in the water. Fidel had a quick chat with the ferryman and gave him a few dollars. There was no fare, the ferry was a free service to students, but Fidel figured he should pay the guy to take Dymetri and him across and back this late at night. Fidel figured the money would keep the ferryman at a nearby bar while he and Dym had fun.
Speaking of Dymetri, where was that kid? Fidel shivered and shuffled his feet to keep warm. --_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_-- word count;; 660 tagg'd;; Dymetri notes;; yay!

After hitting a few more keys on his keyboard, Dymetri signed off. He was going to the main island in the middle of the night, with Fidel. A crack was audible, emitting from his elbow, as he leaned back in his chair and stretched. He yawned and ran his fingers through his, now pink, hair. ‘You gotta get going, Sa-Dymi.” he told himself. He had a weird relapse that he wasn’t going to take the time to explain. Dymetri swiftly slipped off his chair and made his way across the room, slipping on his shoes and hat. His pink hair peaked out of the bottom of his beanie. He had no real need to get dressed for, he was already dressed. He pulled his key, on a necklace, over his head. He slipped open the door and started to head out. He was on his way to see Fidel. The strange boy lived downstairs and Dymetri had grown a strange attraction to him. He had no explanation for it. Other than the time Dymetri rescued him and his snapped collar bone, their interaction was mostly online. Dymetri fidgeted with his necklace, a black guitar pick on a chain. He didn’t play guitar but, it was a kind gift from his sister so, he did not reject it. He pushed open the dorm doors only to be attacked by fog. He rubbed his silver eyes so, he could see properly. Dymetri was struggling to get through the fog. His eyes were also, not adjusted to a night time setting. Dymetri made it half way to the pier before tripping over his own feet and landing on all fours. Dymetri allowed himself a few minutes to recover before standing and wiping his hands. He finally made it to the pier and he saw Fidel by the ferry. He quickened his pace as he raced himself to the boat. ”Fidy, you waited,” he smirked. Tonight, Dymetri’s voice was high-pitched and feminine. It was quite a shock that this female could pull off being a boy for so long. He stared up at the boy for a moment before being stolen into the thought of causing mayhem in town. This thought made his stomach fill with butterflies and his face fill with glee. ”Shall we go?” he asked rhetorically, sitting down. He fidgeted with his necklace a bit more. He pulled the sleeves of his hoodie over half his hands, curling his fingers around the fabric. He pressed his fabric fists to his face, he had an aspect of innocence to this. He looked so innocent yet, so devious. Dymetri fidgeted once more before giving a shy smile to Fidel. ”So, what’s the plan, Stan?” he asked, boredom finding it’s way into his tone of voice. He stared out at the ocean, the waters kind of rocky and rain seemed to be pelting at Dymetri’s flesh. He let out a gentle sigh. Luckily, the ferry ride didn’t take long. Fidel didn't bother trying to suppress a grin when he saw Dymetri's shape emerge from the fog. He laughed, "Well of course I waited! I thought you had stood me up!" He didn't think that of course, but it was almost a reflex for the raccoon shifter to tease everyone and make a joke out of everything. He didn't even realize he was doing it half the time.
"Shall we go?"
Fidel chuckled and jerked his chin at the ferry man, who seemed to be putting on a yellow windbreaker at that moment. It looked dull against the murky purple of the sky. Fidel watched Dymtri sit down and nodded to the ferryman before taking a seat next to him... or her. This Dymetri kid was good. Although he was a she, he had managed to wriggle past all of the checks in to school. Fidel was thoroughly impressed by that. He figured he was lucky to know that about Dymi, it was such a bid secret. It really felt like a sort of honor to him.
Right as his rear touched the seat he felt a cool drop hit his nose. "Aw, sh*t.." he muttered under his breath. He really, really hated the rain. Folding his arms he sulked, trying to ignore the sensation of rain leaking through the fabric of his clothes.
"So what's the plan, Stan?"
"hm?" Fidel hadn't been paying attention, he looked over to see one of the most adorable faces he had ever seen. He moved on impulse- Slipping one arm around Dymi's shoulder and pulling him close. "Well. First order of business is to not freeze to death. So lets keep warm.
The ferryman snorted in suppressed laughter, Fidel shot him a "Don't push it" look and then grinned down at this friend. "And then! How about we try our best to get kicked out of Walmart! perhaps we can hit a Sports Authority after that." He used his arm to try and shield Dymi's head from the relentless precipitation.
A shudder of cold passed through his body, wow, this ferry ride seemed really long. He yawned loudly and tipped his head back, receiving a drop to the eye almost instantly. "Yeowch!" His hands flew to his face, wondering for a moment of he had gone blind. He felt pretty silly when he realized it was just another raindrop. He laughed nervously. "I hate the rain...."
The dark shape of the dock was closer than ever now. Maybe Fidel could find a bit of shelter when they were off this damn boat. --_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_-- word count;; 466 tagg'd;; Dymetri notes;; Sorry.. that took awhile

"Hm?" Dymetri heard as Fidel came back to Earth. He felt the warmth of Fidel's arm around his shoulder and butterflies bounced off the walls of his stomach. Dymetri looked down, hiding his reddening face in his hair. Fidel said something about keeping warm, Dymetri just nodded and leaned into the boy. He heard the ferryman's snort of laughter, he decided it was best to ignore it. Once Dymetri felt his face return to normal he looked up at his friend, just in time to catch his grin. A small smile played at the corner of his lips. He watched his friend in awe as he told him the plan. "Sounds like fun." He smiled. Rain pelted at Dymetri's face automatically giving him the reaction to bury his face in Fidel's chest. It was strange how long this ride seemed. Maybe it was the fact that it was freezing or, that the ferryman was going extremely slow because, of the choppy waters. All the sudden Fidel let out a yelp that caused Dymetri to jump backwards in fright. Dymetri stared at the boy with wondering and wide eyes. "I really hate the rain" seemed to explain everything. Dymetri let out a laugh. "Nice." he said sarcastically before moving back next to the body warmth of his friend. He squinted and the black shape of the pier came into view. "Finally."He muttered to himself. Dymetri's body rocked as the boat hit the pier. He grinned, not even waiting for Fidel before dashing off the boat. Dymetri tried to stop once on the pier, however; the wet slick pier caused him to fall. A small yip emitted from his throat when his knees hit the slick wood. He felt the blood rush to his face once more. He stayed on the wet ground for a few minutes before pulling himself to his feet and turned towards the island. He didn't want to look at Fidel. It was embarrassing for him. He waited at the end of the pier for his friend. At this point, the blood had drained from his face and became normal. Dymetri sighed and looked down at his wet clothes. He reached up and touched his hair that stuck out from under his hat. Yep, that was wet too. He bit his bottom lip it was going to curl if he didn't get it out of the rain soon. It wasn't long before Fidel showed up. Word Count~ 406Tag'd~ Fidel~♥Notes~ Awww ^^Outfit~ This!
