"Hello Hina-Chan, my name is Sayuri, Sayuri Iseki. I'm here to take you to a special school. A school for special children just like you Hina-Chan." The soft voice had interrupted the child's writing, she had seen the woman many a time before visiting the orphanage, she didn't know why she kept coming back. Until she came and said that, she had never actually met the woman until than, but the woman had tried talking to her before, it hadn't gone well, Hina could remember just running away, like a child, like a coward. But once she realized that Sayuri was like her, once Sayuri showed her proof that she was special, she felt a lot better around her. Than later, about four months later, after spending a lot of time with her, she started to love her, though she couldn't quite trust herself to talk, she forgot how, she wanted to say things, but she couldn't. Than there was the day that Sayuri had came and they were picking on her, the first time she had spoken, the words echoed in her mind, "Mommy, don't let them hurt me, please!" She had spoken to her just that once, the other children knew about her, and they had often hit her, and she had ran to Sayuri for protection, she couldn't bring herself to speak again, unless it was to herself, she was scared that she would forget how again. She wanted to talk to Sayuri, there was something about her that instantly made her trust her. "She's coming with me, today, both as a woman looking for a daughter, and as a Professor, it is not wise that she stay here. She is a child, no matter what." The child looked up, her brown eyes dark at the depressing memory, but wonderful memory at the same time. Such emotions confused her. She had started calling her mommy, mentally, and the one time she voiced it. Four months, every single day, than the weekend they had stayed in a hotel after Sayuri had taken her out of the orphanage. She was much happier with a mom, and much happier among people who would be mean to her because she was different, but because she was something they were not used to, the reason why children were normally treated wrong. She shook her head, her pure white fur shaking with her head. It was technically hair, but the texture of it, the softness of it, and the feel of it was all wrong, it felt like an animals after a fresh wash. She had never known her hair could change color, it happened after she had shown Sayuri her shift, Sayuri's theory was that it was because of her animal's fur had changed into it's winter coat. She liked her hair that way, it was so soft, it made her want to smile and giggle a lot. Iseki had been with her up to just a few moments ago, she had bought her, her food and left her with plenty of money to pay for it, before she kindly, gracefully, and respectfully excused herself in both of their native languages and disappeared, she had some school work that she had to attend to, weird coming from an adult, but it made sense since she was a teacher. She couldn't fight it, not that it mattered to her, she just shrugged it away and looked at the door as once more, the tiny bell sounded an entrance. x ”Aw, do you have to go?” The small voice came from a girl with a pale complexion and light brown hair blowing faintly in the wind. Emily looked up at a boy a few years older than her, but who was unmistakably related to the young girl. He had similar features and eyes almost identical to those that were looking up at him. Emily’s brother gave an apologetic smile. ”I’m sorry, Em. I promised the guys I’d play soccer. We can have lunch together tomorrow, ok?” His voice was as sorry as his smile. Emily couldn’t help but smile back. She was disappointed that she couldn’t spend more time with her big brother but she knew how much he loved playing sports with his friends. She couldn’t keep him from that, not when he enjoyed it so much.
Andrew Holmes leaned in and hugged his sister. She returned the hug and added in a little kiss on the cheek. It wasn’t unusual for Emily to do this, but her brother was never prepared. Emily giggled at the expression on her big brother’s face. It was an odd mix of surprise and embarrassment, but with a smile thrown in there as well. The pair separated and Emily gave her brother one of her biggest smiles. ”Bye bye! I love you!” Emily always told her brother that she loved him when they parted. She could never be truly sure that she would see him again, she had been known to fall seriously ill without any real warning, and today could be one of those days. Still, she also said it because she did love him and she wanted him to know that. Andrew smiled. ”Bye Em, take care.”
Emily watched for a moment as her brother turned and walked away. She smiled, remembering all the fun times the two of them had shared. She was glad they were still close, she didn’t think anything could force them apart. Emily was wearing a yellow shirt and a pair of sky blue jeans, along with a small floppy yellow hat. Turning, the young girl entered the restaurant. Her brother had given her some money to pay for a meal, he always looked out for her, even when he was off doing other things. Some people might think he was being selfish by leaving his little sister all alone to eat, but Emily didn’t mind. It was a sign of trust to her, that her brother trusted her enough to leave her alone. He could be a bit overprotective of her.
Inside the restaurant she saw scattered tables and chairs… and every table was occupied. Emily was a little surprised, she hadn’t expected every table to be in use. Still, maybe it was better that there was someone at every table. Emily might be able to make a new friend or two, and she wouldn’t be wasting a whole table on just her. Looking around the young shifter saw a girl about her age sat alone at a table. She made her way over, putting on her best friendly smile. As she neared the table she spoke up. ”Excuse me, you don’t mind if I sit here, do you? Everywhere else is full and if we share a table then we won’t use up two tables, so other people can get sat down quicker.” She stood, smiling politely, hoping the girl wouldn’t turn her away. She looked rather timid, maybe Emily could make her into a friend.

I'M BRUISED AND SCARRED save me from this broken heartALL MY LOVE WILL SLOWLY FADE & F A L L A P A R T Sakura bounced happily around her room. She was a bit hyper, or well a lot hyper. She hadn’t taken her medication for her ADHD. But she never really takes them; half because she forgets the other half because she wants to control it on her own but it doesn’t work for her though. She also doesn’t take high dose medication either so it really doesn’t help much with keeping her under control. But it does work for the most part. Sakura skipped over to the bathroom to straighten her hair a bit. She hummed randomly like she sometimes did. Then she thought of a song “Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la, Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la” She sang while doing her hair. She walked out of the bathroom and stopped outside the door. “What’s was the next part?” Sakura said out loud to no one at all. Seeing how she was in the dorm room by herself.
Sakura walked to her bed and put on her hat that she had laid out earlier. “Oh I remember now. Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la, la la la, Troll the ancient Yule tide carol, Fa la la la la. “ she sang out loud to herself. She put on her shoes, which were high heels. But she really liked them and had gotten used to walking in them. Sakura walked out the door, having the door open she said “Goodbye” to her room. Which if you think about it was really weird but it was her, she was lonely and had no one else to say goodbye to. So yea she is kind of depressed now. But her depression episodes don’t last long. She walked outside in the sunshine; it was a beautiful day out. She was glad to be outside enjoying it. But wished she was enjoying it with other people, if she was friends with them or not. Well as long as they weren’t men. With her past you couldn’t help but not blame her for being scared of them.
But going online and into the schools chat room made her see that there were a lot of men at this school. This made her a bit scared of the school. But she was going to overcome her fear. Or at least she hoped she would. She overcame her emotionlessness, with the help of her brother though. But hey she might befriend a male, but she really doubted it. Sakura shrugged off the thought and kept walking, she had her head held high she wasn’t going to let anything bother her or at least show it. A lot of things bothered her thanks to her childhood. Like people fighting or hurting themselves and all that. With her abusive father she was kind of sick of it and it brought back memories that she didn’t want to remember. Again she was thinking of things she didn’t want.
Sakura had come to a stop in front of a restaurant. Her stomach started to growl. She wasn’t sure if her taste buds would tolerate the food her. But it was worth a try. She had money in her pocket so she was set. Sakura walked in the building that she saw was named yummy tummies restaurant. But it wasn’t her tummy she was trying to please with food. Her tummy could really handle anything but she was picky with what she eats thanks to her taste buds. Sakura saw that it was a seat yourself thing here. She wasn’t sure how she liked that. She saw that there were a lot of people here mostly with people who were with other people so she didn’t want to butt in and make people mad at her. She saw a table with only one person sitting at it. She walked over to this table and saw a familiar face or what looked like the picture she had always seen. She also saw another girl who had just asked to sit with Hina. Sakura shrugged and skipped the rest of the way to the table. “Hiya Hina, and nice, pretty girl who I haven’t met before” Said Sakura with a big smile on her face. She was just glad this person wasn’t a guy. “Can I sit with you both?” asked Sakura looking from one to the other. [/color] "this is me speaking!" "someone else speaking" TAG Kitty and Trist! "Admit what you are!" Rachel raised her hand and Hina screamed, she knew what was coming next she knew because it had happened before once, twice, three times, and more, she knew what was coming, she couldn't control it, so she screamed. Than the clacking of heels, hurriedly, obviously running, the voice of a familiar female who had spent months trying to earn Hina's trust, she had heard the screams, and she knew who's they were, or at least, she had a hunch. Once she reached the large room Hina looked at her, tears in eyes.
"Don't let her hurt me!" She screamed and ran to Iseki, instantly clinging to to her, burying her face into her chest, sobs leaping from her threat, mumbling, "Don't let them hurt my any more." Iseki just clung to her, and her voice and facial features colder than ice, and Rachel had froze, terrified, they had been caught. Iseki spoke smoothly, but with such coldness that it was a miracle she was alive, "You do realize, dreams, of shifting often appear to seem real, yes, I know your dream, Hina has told me, has told me you saw.
"Or at least, what you thought you saw, it is impossible for a human to shift into a creature, even into a deformed human, it is possible, even if they are born that way, they cannot change, they will only be human. It was a dream, a dream that normally means fear of change, fear of difference, fear of losing someone you care for, so your mind comes up with a way, to make you feel as though you hate them, as if they are a monster unworthy of love, so your mind saw her change, saw her become it.
"You saw her morph into a creature of furry cuteness, she told me what you thought you saw, that you thought she had turned into a tiny squirrel, your mind couldn't change anything, so it made her stay cute, but she had changed into an animal, with animal instincts. So she wasn't human, does that sound right? You are scared to let her go, so you made you hate her, forced you to forget that you loved her, so you could part with her sooner, easily, without pain. But you know, it always lead back to more pain."
Rachel stared at Iseki in utter disbelief, she had fallen for the lie, it was that simple, Iseki did have a background in Psychology in which she had to prove that she was not a fake, there was no reason to not believe that she was lieing, the next words out of Iseki's surprised both Rachel and Hina, but Hina was relieved, "I'm taking her home today, there is no stopping me, I should have you arrested for child abuse, and with my background, I could get you into one of the best mental wards in the world."
Hina came back from her memory, and she knew it, she looked around. The real Hina, the present day Hina, was back, she wouldn't let the effect her decision.
The Hina online was much different than the Hina in real life, the Hina online was able to talk, the Hina in real life was mute, but so much was to be said in her mind that she was unable to say in real life, so thus, she kept a tablet. She would never speak if she could, but she had perfected her handwriting doing it this way. The only time she had spoken since she shifted, was when Iseki had taken her home, the day that the orphanage worker Rachel was going to hit her, and most likely hard.
Hina had been lost in her mind when a young child, most likely her age, came up and asked to sit, she was surprised, a soft "uh" coming forth from her mouth. She lifted her fist up to her mouth and chewed on her knuckles, it was a habit she had created when she got nervous or scared, which was often but, she didn't think into that too much. She had gotten so used to it that it didn't phase her and she often didn't even notice that she was doing it, was that a bad thing?
Of course it was, one day she might end up biting too hard. She blinked and nodded, moving her walking sticks allowing the girl to sit down in the chair that was closest to where she was standing, she didn't go far without her walking sticks should her legs decide to give out, she couldn't risk that. Sometimes her legs wouldn't regain strength for hours, who knew how long she could have been fallen until some random person wandered her way. If she was off of the path, would they have seen her, she didn't speak...
She blinked as a girl walked up, they had known her, even though her picture showed her summer hair color, they had recognized her with her bleach white, fluffy, fur colored hair. Though it wasn't hard to do, her features were every ounce the same, slightly paler, but not by much. This must have been the pretty Sakura that she had seen online and had all but fell in love with since she was so nice to her. Luckily there were four chairs at the medium sized, round table and she moved her hand to give her her okay.
Whether the other girl was okay with Sakura sitting with them, was to be seen. She kind of liked the idea of someone she knew having lunch with her, even if she didn't know them, even if they didn't know her, she loved to be around people, but she was too scared to be around people, that was only after the orphanage though. But Sayuri Iseki, Sayuri Kitsu Iseki, the Eurasian Lynx shift, she was beautiful shifted and non-shifted, that was something that was impossible to deny. She looked at the girls, with a light, bright, smile.
She made a motion towards her mouth, just ever so lightly, nothing major, a slight fear in her eyes as she tried to indicate she didn't talk but didn't mind that they sat there, she was a timid child, she didn't care, she still wanted to be with people, she didn't want to be alone, she was scared, of being alone, of being abandoned.

x Emily stood, as the other girl looked up at her. What would she do if she said no? Maybe she could find another table to sit at? All the other tables had at least two people sat at them, Emily didn’t recognise anyone, and they all seemed to be in conversation with one another. She couldn’t walk up to two people who were sat eating together and ask to sit with them. The other girl gave a little ‘uh’, seeming a bit surprised at being asked. She then moved her hand up to her mouth and… bit her knuckles? It was almost like she was chewing them. She looked nervous, maybe it was something that comforted her, like hugging your arms or sucking your thumb. Emily gave a little smile, hoping to make her feel better. After a short while the girl gave a little nod and moved something from one of the chairs that Emily hadn’t noticed before. They looked sort of like walking sticks. Was this young girl hurt? Maybe she had done something to her legs.
Before Emily had even sat down another girl skipped over to them. She was also about the same age as Emily, but seemed a lot more cheerful and energetic than the girl who was already sat at the table. Emily smiled, this girl seemed nice. ”Oh, thank you. I’m Emily. I’ve only just gotten here myself but I don’t mind if you sit.” She wasn’t sure it was really her place to say it was ok for this new arrival to sit with them, after all, it wasn’t her table.
Emily gave another smile and sat. ”Thank you... Hina, is it? Have you hurt your legs? They are walking sticks, aren’t they?” She said. She spoke in a kind tone, realising that this girl was probably shy. She signalled that it was ok for the other girl to sit too, though. Apparently they knew each other, or at least the newer girl new Hina’s name. Either way, it seemed the three of them would be eating together. Emily didn’t have any idea who these two were, but they looked nice, even though they were opposites of one another, or at least appeared to be opposites at first glance. One so quiet and shy and the other so cheerful and energetic. Emily was just glad she didn’t have to eat alone. There’s something strange about eating alone in a restaurant, something not right.
Emily was a little confused as Hina made a motion, just a slight one. Towards her face, her mouth. She looked almost scared. Was something wrong? ”Is something wrong with your voice? Have you… got a throat infection or something?” She asked, not really catching the other girl’s meaning. She still looked sort of nervous though. ”Well whatever it is, you don’t need to be nervous, I don’t bite or anything. I’m glad you Let me sit here with you. You both seem nice.” She gave a big friendly smile and looked over to the other girl.
Looking from one girl to the other, Emily observed that they were both quite pretty. The first girl, Hina, had white hair that looked almost fluffy. Emily wondered what it felt like, it looked so soft. She didn’t though. She just sat, smiling. Hoping that these two girls wouldn’t mind her being here. If they knew each other well then maybe they would want to talk to each other and not her. If she was getting in their way Emily would just leave and wait for a table to become available.
Emily had spent quite a bit of time around her brother’s friends. They liked her and didn’t seem to mind her being around but it wasn’t the same as being around her own friends. She was always sort of an outsider. Hopefully it wouldn’t be like this here. Hopefully these girls would include her.
