Likes:(at least 10)
- Reading – Reading is a great way to learn and develop for Mitchell, he especially loves fiction but will read anything, you never know what you might find.
- Writing – Writing is Mitchell’s passion. He loves weaving a story, creating interesting characters in amazing situations… and writing a bit of nonsense every once in a while.
- Tea – Yes, he’s British, shush. He loves tea, either very hot or after it’s done cold. With little milk and lots of sugar.
- Doodling – Doodling in the corner of a piece of paper can help him listen or, more likely, distract him. It’s fun and quick and can turn up some interesting results.
- Chatting – Having a chat and getting to know people is fun, you never know what you’re going to find out.
- Cooking – Though he’s not all that good, he still enjoys creating interesting and slightly worrying dishes of his own invention… or family classics.
- Heat – Mitchell likes the heat much more than the cold. Though he doesn’t sunbathe much he likes being in hot climates.
- Snow – Snow makes the cold worthwhile
- Jam – Jam is the single most awesome thing in existence if you listen to Mitchell
- Debating – A good debate is hard to find, but when you do find one it can be very intellectually stimulating and you can lean a lot about both the subject and the person.
- Knowledge – Mitchell loves learning just to know more. He doesn’t usually show off and likes just having the knowledge. Everything can be useful.
- Great actors – Though there’s too many to list, Mitchell can’t get enough of actors with that certain degree of awesome.
- Cute animals – What? They’re cute….
- Cute girls – see above, but double.
Dislikes: (at least 10)
- Idiots – there’s nothing wrong with lacking knowledge, so long as you don’t pretend like you have it or ignore people who try to give it to you
- Cold – If there’s no snow there’s no good reason for the cold
- Cream – Nothing against it, he just hates the stuff
- People who ignore other’s feelings – People’s feelings are important, and people who don’t care about them don’t deserve to be treated as humans.
- People who don’t know the significance of words – words still mean something, but people fling them around like nothing, spoiling them. Mitchell hates that.
- Stereotypes – Mitchell doesn’t see why people have to segregate and generalize mentally. People aren’t all the same and when you break those expected stereotypes you find a much more interesting and individual person.
- Boredom – Mitchell is rather fast running and always needs to do something. He can quite often amuse himself with his imagination but boredom can still hit him.
- Worriers – Most people worry themselves senseless over little things, everyone would be a lot happier if they stopped worrying for a while.
- People who are too busy – Everyone these days rushes around doing fifty things at once, Mitchell is high on energy but knows to take it easy every once in a while
- Negative people – Pessimists annoy Mitchell. What do you lose by looking on the bright side? He tries to cheer them up but if they don’t listen he just ends up annoyed and irritated.
Fears: (At least 3)
- Being stuck in a cage – Being trapped and unable to get out. Mitchell’s overactive imagination cursed him with this fear, after he shifted he wondered what would happen if he was mistaken for a pet.
- Losing a limb – There’s just something scary about losing a part of your body and being completely unable to use it. Like it was never there.
- Being out of control – Mitchell would hate being unable to control things, specifically being unable to help.
Strengths: (At least 3)
- Imagination – Mitchell’s imagination is his strongest point, though it can sometimes run away from him it can yield some amazing results.
- Curiosity – When you inquire about everything you find out an awful lot more than you would otherwise.
- Quick fingers – Mitchell has extremely dexterous fingers, useful for delicate tasks… and for fiddling with things, his pen-fu is beyond belief.
- Cheerfulness – It’s hard to put Mitchell in a bad mood, some people say he has an infectious smiley personality
Weaknesses: (At least 3)
- Curiosity – Like that saying about the cat, curiosity can put Mitchell in a place he’d rather not end up.
- Over-active – Mitchell can often be a bit too happy and bouncy and get on people’s nerves. His imagination occasionally runs off, taking him with it and leaving whoever he’s talking to horribly confused.
- Cute girls – The one thing that can leave him speechless
Overall: [400 words minimum]
Mitchell has an amazingly cheerful personality. The first thing people notice about him is how energetic and happy he seems most of the time. Mitchell is one of those people who makes little random movements for no reason other that he feels like it. He is excitable, easily interested and very easily amused. He will sit and talk to people of ages just to find out everything he can about them. Mitchell is one of those people who seems to love everything. He has an amazing imagination that works overtime all the time. He loves gathering new information just to have it in his head.
Because of his amazing imagination Mitchell has a passion for writing. Fiction is his playground. He loves thinking up stories and scenarios in his head, sometimes writing them down, sometimes just storing them away in his mind. He will quite often think up something on a whim and his mind will run off, before long leaving the original thought lost and forgotten. This can be quite frustrating for him sometimes, especially when an Idea has the potential to be brilliant. To combat this he always carries a notepad and pen with him. Most of the pad, however, is filled with doodles and little drawings. There’s no better way of filling a bit of time than doing a little doodling.
Mitchell’s life long ambition is to write at least one novel and get it published. It doesn’t matter if it becomes popular or not, he just wants to write it in it’s entirety and make it perfect, at least to his eyes. As of yet he’s never been able to formulate a full novel, or even come close. He always gets distracted and makes drastic changes, or thinks up a new idea all together. One of the reasons he loves learning so much is that he can always implement new ideas in to his writings. One thing you don’t want to do is fall into the trap of asking him about his writing. You run the risk of setting him off on a rant, leaving you stood there confused. Mitchell can lose people in conversation, even intelligent people. His mind works in a strange way and some of the connections he makes are a little insane.
Mitchell can get irritated but rarely becomes genuinely annoyed. Irritation he can handle, he is British after all. But if you do annoy him his personality changes quite drastically. He becomes cold and distant, preferring to just ignore the person rather than have a go at them. His view is that if he doesn’t like you he would rather just forget you existed. When he does have to talk to you he will keep his sentences as short as possible and move on. He doesn’t usually hide if he doesn’t like you, he would rather you hate him back openly than find out he was being two-faced. There are some people Mitchell meets that annoy him in some way, usually by being depressing or pessimistic. These people he reacts to differently. He will first try wholeheartedly to change their views to the positive. If that doesn’t work he will likely dismiss them and move on. He doesn’t give up trying to make people more positive easily though, especially if he thinks he is getting somewhere.
Mitchell is usually a really easy person to talk to and can talk to people just as easily. Hi is comfortable talking to his peers, superiors and those who are technically lower than him, though he doesn’t see them as such. If, however, he meets a girl he likes then he can lock up almost completely. His mind fails him and, for a while at least, he will stutter responses and lose all initiative. He has learned to regain control of himself in these situations but it takes a while.

Celebrity Play By: Ryan Cartwright
Appearance: [400 words minimum]
Mitchell has a rather unique appearance. He doesn’t have any specific features that make him stand out but the way his features all come together make him memorable. He is about average height, standing at 5’ 10’’ and has a thin frame with little in the way of visible muscle. He still has muscle, just not an awful lot of it. He wasn’t built for strenuous physical activity but a moderate amount of excited movement never hurt him. His posture is slightly slumped from hours spent slumped over computers, TV’s games consoles and pads of paper. He is slightly lanky, just a little too thin looking for his height, but he pulls it off rather well.
His face is oval shaped and smooth skinned. His overall skin tone is not pale as such but far from tanned. His hair is black and kept in good condition. Mitchell maintains that appearance is important to an extent and as such takes care of his own appearance to that extent. He combs his hair when needed and occasionally attacks it with gel or wax or something similar, usually only for special occasions though. It’s usually fine laying as it falls. His eyes are a deep aquatic blue and seem to almost sparkle when he shows interest in something, which is often. The most noticeable feature of Mitchell’s face is his mouth. He is gifted with an uncontrollable urge to smile, and does so often. He has been hold his smile is infectious and usually his response to this is just to give a smile, as if in demonstration. When smiling his face seems to change completely, becoming more rounded and with slightly dumpy looking cheeks.
Mitchell’s clothing style is varied. He usually prefers a simple plain shirt, occasionally with some kind of logo or emblem on it. Brands aren’t all that important to him, just that they look good and feel comfortable. He wears almost all colours, except green, which he generally avoids. Jeans are his default choice for leg wear. He seldom wears anything else, jeans are the perfect mix of simple style, comfort and warmth. He has a rainbow of slightly worn out converse for footwear. Picking whatever matches the colour of his shirt. He will often wear a pair of fingerless gloves, his hands can get chilly even when the rest of him is warm, and fingerless gloves allow him to keep them warm without losing any dexterity. A hat is optional but if he wears one it will definitely be a pork pie hat. They may be the worst type of hat but they are the best kind of hat.
His animal form; a stoat, perfectly shows his personality. He is 28cm long and his coat is a rich toffee brown with a creamy colour running from his mouth all the way down to the base of his tail, including the inner side of his legs. His face is small and angular, his eyes this time the more dominating feature, they are large and dark and curious looking. His nose is also dark and can usually be seen quivering as if in anticipation. His ears are small and rounded, with a band of cream running along the rim, just next to the inner ear. His tail is long and bushy and the tip is a deep black. His winter coat is thicker and fluffier, and almost pure white, with the exception of two patches around his eyes and a stripe down his back, which retain their toffee colour. His tail retains it’s black tip even during the winter. [/size]
...history
Parents: Vincent and Nicola Keats
Siblings: none
[400 words minimum]
England is a county known for many things, including queuing and complaining. Vincent Keats exercised a mastery of both of these skills as he sat in a line of traffic trying to get to the hospital on a cold November evening in the city of Bath. Eventually he and his wife made it to the hospital where they gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The 5th of November is bonfire night and Mitchell was born at 8pm, about the time the fireworks start. It was an amazing occurrence and made the boy’s birthdays extra special as he always got a firework display, as though the whole country was celebrating with him. His first years were typical childhood years. He went to a daycare and always loved playing with the other children. His parents main concern was that he was slow learning how to talk. His first word was ‘no’, which didn’t help much when trying to talk to him. His parents had to ask him double negatives to get him to agree to do anything. His next two words were car and map which, again, didn’t help much, especially since other kids were able to have at least simple exchanges by now. He did eventually pick up the English language, and when he did he surpassed all the other children. When he started school he had quite a small vocabulary but within his first year he became the most talkative child in the class.
Mitchell’s school had a set reading program, which the child took to like a duck to water. His parents had always read to him as a younger child but before long he was reading aloud to them, then reading silently to himself. As he made his way through his school years he read his way through both the school reading list and any book his family passed his way. Mitchell had a large extended family from around the country so aunts and uncles were always visiting for a week or so and always came bearing a book for Mitchell to read, which he did. He had a reading age of much higher than his actual age and read faster than anyone of his age he knew.
Mitchell was very social from a young age, always chatting to everyone else in the class, which sometimes got him into trouble during lessons. He was for, the most part, very attentive in lessons, completing all of his work to a decent standard and all on time, though he couldn’t help doodling in the corner of his workbooks. His favourite subject was English. When he was in his fourth year at primary school the class was asked to write a short story including certain items, characters and settings. When Mitchell handed his work in his teacher was so impressed with his work that he was sent to show the head of year. From that point on Mitchell was hooked with writing. He loved if just as much as, if not more than his love for reading.
As Mitchell made his way through his school years, moving up into secondary school, he kept a core group of close friends around him, though he was still friendly with almost everyone else in his year. Every summer for a few weeks Mitchell would be sent to stay with some relative or another. His favourite was his great aunt from the north of England. He would stay in her house in the Yorkshire moors and she would teach him to cook, saying it was better that he learned sooner rather than later. She taught him several local recipes and allowed him to experiment with his own, within reason. She drew the line at a ketchup soup though.
On Mitchell’s thirteenth birthday he shifted. He had an easy childhood, which made him all the more scared when he stepped outside into his back garden on the night of his birthday to watch the fireworks and he felt his body break itself. He started shrinking, but what was worst was the snapping and reforming of his skeleton. It was excruciatingly painful and if he could he would have cried out. When it had all stopped Mitchell found himself changed. Everything was so huge and the explosions and flashes in the air were loud and terrifying. He didn’t even think to look at what he had become, he just ran and hid in the hedge, as deep as he could go, as far away from the explosions as his little body could take him.
When the fireworks had died down somewhat the small stoat came out from his shelter. He had calmed down now, and realized something had happened to him. He emerged and looked at himself as best as he could, twisting his new long, fluid body. He knew how to reverse it though, somehow. Before long he was a boy again, gathering his clothing and running inside. He got dressed as soon as he got indoors and tried to act normal as he made his way through the house. His father met him on the stairs and immediately saw how shaken his son was. He knew what had happened and took Mitchell into the kitchen for a cup of tea and a talk. Mitchell wasn’t happy about having to leave all of his friends to go to a school for shifters, but at the same time was excited. It was a new place with new people, and he would be going on his own.
Mitchell settled in easily at the academy, loving every minute of it. He would still return home during the summer and stay with his parents for a few weeks and other family for the rest. He developed and refined himself over then next few years, prioritizing his free time to writing and socializing, then reading, then cooking if he had time. Obviously education took priority over all the rest. His dad had told him to start shifting when he could to get used to it and he ended up shifting when he built up too much energy and was feeling particularly active.
...connecting human to animal
[One Paragraph Minimum (Can be point form)]
Mitchell is intensely curious. He loves seeing new things and meeting new people, just as a stoat seems. He is also energetic and full of life, always moving, even if it’s just a little twitch of the leg. He is always brimming with energy. Similarly, the stoat is a very active and excitable animal. Though he has all this energy Mitchell is not built for sports as such, much like the stoat, which is something of a smaller cousin to the weasel. In short; Mitchell is curious, energetic and playful.

The biro twirled around the fingers of the boy as he sat staring blankly into space. It was much too early. Mitchell wasn’t lazy but eight AM was too early to be sat in an airport waiting for a plane to arrive. Every summer he had to take a tiring overnight flight back to England and then after a few weeks he had to take an equally tiring flight back. He wouldn’t normally mind getting up at this time but having spent a bad night at a cheap hotel he had woken up still tired from the night before. What was worse was neither the hotel or the airport could make a decent cup of tea. Blinking the sleep out of his eyes, Mitchell returned to the present. He had been staring out of the large windows that covered one wall and showed the planes landing and taking off… The shifter wondered if that was supposed to keep people amused… it seemed to have the effect of annoying everyone who wasn’t on that plane.
As the time crawled by Mitchell found himself actually waking up slightly. He gave up staring out of the window at the slightly overcast day that was dawning. He turned his attention to his notepad. There was a badly drawn, half finished doodle of a person asleep in a chair. Mitchell often drew what was on his mind and all he could think about was sleep. Now he was more awake he scribbled it out and started a new one, the same person flying through the air... at least he didn’t have to wait for a plane. Mitchell was sat at a table in a small café. It had been deserted when he entered but in the hour or so he had been here it had filled up completely. Mitch had picked the table with the best view, which was meant for about four people… feeling a bit guilty, the Stoat shift looked around to see people leaving in search of seats.
He saw a girl, about his age, looking flustered and clutching a laden tray. She was about to leave to try to, and probably fail at, finding a seat elsewhere. Looking down at hid tray, Mitchell noticed he only had a few sips of stone cold tea left. The young man spoke up. ”S’cuse me, you can sit here if you want, I’m leaving in just a minute.” he said, getting the girl’s attention with a wave and accompanying his words with an encouraging smile. She had long ginger hair and was clearly just as tired as Mitchell was. The girl returned his smile and sat, a little awkwardly, in the seat opposite. ”Don’t worry, I’m not a creep or anything like that… though I don’t suppose it’s something I’d admit to if I was. I’m just finishing this god awful excuse for tea they serve.” He said, smiling up at the girl again before picking up his paper up and staring down into it. ”Abandon all hope ye who drink from here, eh?” he said, draining the cup. Looking back at the girl, Mitch noticed she was still just sat there awkwardly. He supposed waking up early, having to eat airport food and then being talked at by a random guy didn’t equal a good morning for anyone. He stood, picking up his tray and turning to leave. ”Well… there y’go, Enjoy your… flight I guess.” He left her sitting there, hopefully less awkwardly.
