Skyler put on one of her bathing suits and then one of her Goth dresses. Yes it was almost midnight but this was the only time she liked to go to the beach. She knew there would be no one there at this time of night. She liked it that way; it gives her a chance to be herself even if it’s just for a short time. Sky pulled on a half coat and gave a sigh. She walked into the bathroom from her bed and started to brush her hair.
‘You’re so pathetic; not having any friends’ said a small voice inside her head. ‘No you’re not, you are very special and you’re just fine without friends’ came another voice. Sky shook her head; which wasn’t helping with keeping it neat but she didn’t care. She pulled her hair into a high pony tail and messed with her bangs for a while till she left them alone. She sighed again and walked out of the bathroom. She went to her bed and put all her stuff that she needed into her bag. A sketch book, pencils, her reading glasses, a book, and a flashlight; all the things she would need.
Skyler put on a pair of leg warmers; keeping the end of them on the heel of her foot. She put her only head band on even though she really didn’t need it. She let it rest behind her bangs leaving her bangs rested on her forehead. The teenaged shifter looked around the room. Her roommates were sleeping so she tried to be as quiet as she could. Which she always was, she had a lot of practice with being quiet at night. She placed a pair of flip-flops on and put her bag on her shoulder. Sky walked out of the room and into the hallway.
It was darkly lit but was lit enough for her to see to get outside. Plain white walls surrounded her on all sides with doors to other dorm rooms every couple steps or so. The skunk shifter found the door that leads to the outside and stepped out to find it a bit chilly; she should have put on a heaver coat. But she shrugged it off she didn’t want to walk back and wake up her roommates. Yes she was unsocial and preferred it that way but rude and uncaring she was not.
The German girl walked off toward the forest not looking back at the academy. It was a beautiful night it was half moon and the stars were twinkling in the sky. She was now surrounded by trees. The forest was something she had grown familiar with over the months she was here. She had gotten used to her surroundings over the whole island. The German girl got used to things pretty fast and this was no exception.
She walked out of the forest and into a clearing. This clearing was the beach she could see the clear sea water lapping the sand on the shore. She placed her bag down and took off her flip-flops. She didn’t care that her leg warmers were getting all sandy and would probably get wet. Sky walked down to the water feeling the cold sand between her toes. Once Skyler was at the water’s edge she stopped and smelled the sea water. To her it was the most wonderful smell.
