Ethan stared at his notebook, tapping his pencil against knee. Stupid biochemistry homework. Ethan desperately wanted to be a dentist, so unfortunately he had to take that class. It wasn't exactly a difficult course, but it was just so meticulous, and Ethan was starting to get bored. He set aside the notebook, and grabbed his Rubix cube from his bedside table. He didn't have any room mates, and his dorm was unbearably quiet. Messing with the cube, Ethan got off of his bed and started pacing. He needed to do something other than his assignment. What teacher assigned fifty problems over the weekend? Ethan liked the challenge though, and it wasn't like this was a regular school or anything.
After solving the Rubix cube, Ethan tossed it on his bed, and watched it send his pencil off the notebook. A slight frown graced his face, and he was extremely bored. He didn't have anyone to play poker with, and his laptop, which he usually used to play online poker, had gotten ruined in the hurricane. The hurricane...Ethan was glad it was finally over, that was for sure. It was nice to actually hang out with his friends, but really, most of his friends he had met because of the hurricane. Like Selah. He and Selah had become really good friends since then, but he definitely couldn't help but like her more than that. Her feelings concerning him other than that the fact they were friends were a mystery to him, though.
Thinking of his laptop just showed how technology dependent he could be sometimes, but an idea crossed his mind. Looking out of his door, checking to see if anyone was in the hallway, he grabbed his MP3 player and put it in its dock. What Ethan didn't know was that his door didn't shut all the way, so bored as he was, he started playing the first Led Zeppelin album he saw on there. Led Zeppelin was undoubtedly his favorite band ever, but instead of faithfully listening to it, he went to go brush his teeth. As his toothbrush brushed his teeth with circles of toothpaste, Immigrant Song, the best song in the universe came on.
Ethan started to hum along, continuing the pattern of brushing his, but when his favorite part came on, he put his toothbrush down and spat, grabbing the broom from his closet. Broom in hand, he played it like a guitar, hopping on one leg across the room, singing loudly along. He felt like a little bit of a geek, but when the song was over he had a huge smile on his face. The MP3 player continued playing its music, and Ethan went back to solving his Rubix cube again, sitting on his bed, and wondering when Selah's birthday was. [/blockquote] Tag: Selah. The Start Of Something New . ♫Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and I’m homebound.♫ Selah began to hum along with the 90’s voice of Vanessa Carlton, enjoying every minute of the song. She went through three different songs beside A Thousand Miles, she hummed and even sang some parts as she walked with her eyes closed and head slightly bouncing. She didn’t have her music on loud enough to block everyone out, so she noticed that there weren’t any other footsteps but her own. And when her fourth song ended, Every Time We Touch by Cascada, she opened her eyes, because she heard Led Zeppelin coming from down the hall. She put the music on pause, and stopped when she noticed she had found her way to the boy’s dorms. She also noticed that she was in Ethan’s hall. She silently walked down the hall, her bare feet making no noise as she put one foot in front of the other, and followed the sound of Led Zeppelin. She pulled her ponytail up a little higher, feeling extremely 80’s like in her cropped shirt, scrunchy for a hair tie, sweats, and bracelets. She hadn’t even planned that outfit, she just grabbed a few things from her closet and went (she also forgot to grab shoes). Once she reached where the song was coming from, which was Ethan’s door, she noticed it was slightly ajar, and couldn’t help but peek in. And as soon as she did she had to turn away from the door to quiet a laugh. Ethan was dancing, in his boxers no less, to Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant, with a broom! He had been hopping around on one leg, using the broom as a guitar. Selah made sure she wasn’t going to laugh at the spectacle, and quickly turned on her camera, making sure the sound and flash were both off, and zoomed in to get a good picture of Ethan. Two thoughts popped into her head at once, Blackmail! and This will be a good memory of his senior year. Both came with an internal laugh. She waited for him to slightly turn, and snapped the picture. She moved away from the door as the song got closer to ending, and walked a few silent steps away from his door and the music, her own earphones still in her ears. She looked at the picture and smiled, knowing that she would really appreciate the fact that she took a picture of that later in life. When she walked back toward Ethan’s room he was messing with a Rubix Cube and she figured it would be okay to knock then. His iPod was still playing music as she knocked on his door frame, and not his actual door, since it was still slightly open. Selah smiled when she walked in, remembering a few moments ago, and sat down on his bed. She thought back to when she met Ethan, and couldn’t believe it was only four months prior, they had grown so close in those short four months. Even though they were both competitive with each other, they got along fairly well. Or, at least, Selah thought they did. She remembered how they had hung out basically everyday since they met during that awful hurricane. She thought of how he had semi-comforted her during the storm as she kept smiling at him. She pulled her feet up onto the bed, and sat crisscross applesauce and placed her elbows on her knees and had her hands hold up her head as she thought again about how they had met. She remembered staring into his eyes and how she taught him how to throw. She began to stare at his eyes as she thought about the color, and noticed they were the exact same as they had been that night. They were a bright and deep and amazing shade of blue, just like they had been. She had noticed that sometimes they would change to a gray-ish color, which she loved slightly less than the blue. Selah was still smiling as she began to think of how she fell for Ethan the first time she saw him, and she still felt that way about him. But, she wasn’t sure how he felt about her. Her camera had fallen down to her elbow, since she had started with the chord-thing around her wrist. Her earphones were still in her ears, so she decided to take them out and just hold her iPod in her hands. Ethan’s iPod was still playing, but Selah wasn’t really paying attention to what song was on. “Hey,” Selah said as she set her elbows back on her knees and rested her face on her hands.

( THIS IS A DANCE ) for all the lovers, taking a chance for one another- - - - - - - - - - - - Ethan solved the Rubix cube fairly quickly, so he rearranged it, preparing to complete it again, when he heard a voice say “hey.” He smiled, pretty sure it was Selah, and flicked his eyes up at her, then back to his Rubix cube. Wait – what was she wearing? He did a double take, and looked at her again. She was dressed differently than normal, but, hey, he wasn't objecting. The teenage boy in him went, “Ow, ow,” and he was glad he didn't say that. He looked her up and down, smirking; he was probably the only boy she would allow to do that. Had they not been so close, she probably would have smacked him or something.
Looking her up and down again, Ethan said, “Nice...hair.” He smirked again, this really was an interesting outfit for Selah. Normally, she wore shorts and a tank top, so the crop top was a little bit of a shock. He was a teenage boy though, and he did have a crush on her, but he going to comment. He quite liked all of his teeth, and wanted to keep them in his mouth. He couldn't imagine a life without his teeth, especially as a fish – shark – shifter, and he was sure Selah couldn't imagine a life without her legs or something, considering she was a cat – jaguar – shifter. Cats like fish, he thought with a laugh. It was surprising he hadn't thought of that before, especially considering how cheesily clever it was.
Ethan raised his hand towards Selah, and messed up her hair, joking around. After that, he returned to his Rubix cube, even though he knew he should be doing his biochemistry homework. It was the weekend though, which was probably why Selah had come to his room instead of them meeting up somewhere else. Ethan stopped solving his Rubix cube for a second, and continued. The thought was staggering, and sent a wave of jealousy through him. If Selah came to his room dressed like that, what if there were other guys in the hallway or something? Most would be out and about because of the end of the hurricane, but what if? She did look amazing, and hot, and beautiful, and he felt possessive because he didn't want anyone else to see her like that. They weren't even going out and he felt like that! The thought made him angry, but he tried not to let it show, continuing his Rubix cube and smirking. words --- 423-ish. tagged --- Selah. outfit --- here! notes --- No muse; sorry, but at least I got a post up.

Led Zeppelin, Rubix, and PJs...oh my! Selah looked up to see Ethan looking at her, his arm reached forward and…he messed up her hair. She gave him a fake mad look as he went back to his Rubix cube. She turned her attention back to her MP3 player, and made sure she had turned it off. She looked back at Ethan; he was still solving his Rubix cube. She smiled when she looked at him; something just made her happier when she was around him. Something about him made all of her troubles seem to disappear for a few moments. She sighed, quiet enough so that only she could hear it, and took her hair out of its ponytail…er scrunchy. She messed with her hair, running her fingers through it, trying to fix it after Ethan had messed it up. As she tried her best to fix it, her mind wandered. She began to think of all the hints she had dropped Ethan in the past months that obviously, at least it was obvious to her, told him how she felt about him. She had tried her best to say things that could have a double meaning, to give him slightly flirty eyes, to keep eye contact with him. All of those things always worked in musicals. Suddenly, something clicked inside Selah’s mind. She thought of all the hints she had dropped, and how Ethan had always seemed completely oblivious to them. She realized then, sitting on his bed, that he did not feel the same way. She had always had a small hope that he liked her, but, with that realization, she detached herself from that hope. She let go of it, and in her mind, she felt like she had just volunteered to carry two hundred pounds up a mountain. She knew it would be hard to stop having those kinds of feelings for Ethan, but she had to…at least she had to for the sake of their friend ship. She looked back up at him, smiling that fond smile, that shy smile, that she always did at him when he was not looking. That smile was a smile that practically screamed, “Hey doofus, I like you!”, but he never saw it. And she promised herself, right then, that he never would. She scooted over, closer to him, looked at the Rubix cube, back at him, and back at the Rubix cube. A thought struck her suddenly, “Ethan? How…how can you solve that thing?”
A smile spread across her lips, but this one seemed more forced, tighter, more defensive.

( THIS IS A DANCE ) for all the lovers, taking a chance for one another- - - - - - - - - - - - Ethan always felt like his smile was stuck on his face when Selah was around. Whenever he would get self conscious about that, he'd try to make it go away, but with no luck. Something about her just made him smile. Even thinking about that made him want to blush if he was the blushing type, and he wondered for the millionth time how she felt about him. He knew how he felt about her, but her feelings were a mystery. She was a puzzle, more of a challenge than his Rubix cube, and sometimes he just wanted to scream in frustration, but then he'd just tell himself that he had to be patient, and he'd struggle through it. Today was worse than ever though.
There were some days that Ethan felt more like a shark than a human, especially if he was feeling extremely competitive. Today was kind of like that, just not with competitiveness. He was possessive over Selah, though hopefully to her it just seemed like he was protective, and he felt like he was a shark guarding its kill. Of course, Ethan would never hurt Selah on purpose, but the idea of her being hurt would send pangs through him. Through the months though, he'd learned how to keep his facial expressions under better control, even though it felt like he was lying by doing so. Was it lying? He'd been thinking about it for a while now, but couldn't come up with a straight answer, and Ethan hated things that he couldn't figure out.
His smirk was still on his face, and he tried to get rid of it, he really did, but as he watched Selah try to fix her hair, he couldn't help but keep smirking and start chuckling. "God, Selah, you're so cute sometimes," he blurted out, not even thinking about what he'd just said. He couldn't take it back now though, but he did start panicking about what her reaction could possibly be.
Ethan looked at Selah, then back at his Rubix cube. He laughed, he really didn't think solving it was that hard, but he was sure to some people it looked like an impossible feat. An idea came to mind, so Ethan stared at Selah and solved his Rubix cube again, not looking at. Let's see what she thinks of that, he thought. When he finished, the object solved, he grinned, then held it out to Selah. If there was one thing he knew about Selah, it was that she was just about as competitive as he was. words --- 429. tagged --- Selah. outfit --- here! notes --- sorry that took so long.

Led Zeppelin, Rubix, and PJs…oh my! Selah heard Ethan say, she couldn’t help it as she felt her heart start to beat slightly faster. She was trying her hardest to stop liking Ethan, but that was the first time he had said anything remotely like that. She looked at him as he solved his Rubix cube, and she tried to keep her heart quiet, she was sure he could hear it. She breathed, and tried her best to steady her heartbeat. She watched him look from his Rubix cube, back to her, then back at his Rubix cube. Then he stared at her as he solved the cube. She felt her eyes tighten; she knew that he was doing that on purpose. That he just wanted to hold something over her. No matter how much she liked Ethan, she was much more competitive with him than anything else. She clenched and unclenched her hand, trying not to want to break the stupid cube. She closed her eyes, and realized that her heart had slowed down. Hmmm, she thought, competitive-ness beats liking him. She smiled, opened her eyes and saw that Ethan was holding the now solved Rubix cube to her. She uncrossed her legs, and scooted to the edge of the bed so she could reach the Rubix cube. She took it from him, bent on making it unsolvable, and mixed it up. “I bet you won’t be able to solve it when I’m done,” she smiled at him, then stopped when she realized that it was the same smile she had when she was trying to make him notice that she liked him.
She dropped the smile entirely, and made sure her face looked extremely serious and cold. She mixed it up some more, and was sure he could not solve it. However, a devious thought popped into her head. She turned so her back was facing him, and promptly switched three of the stickers, hoping they would stay stuck to their new spots.
She turned back around so that she was facing him and mixed up the cube some more. She smiled, it was a devious smile, and she did not want to hide it. She did not think there was anyway Ethan could solve the Rubix cube after she switched the stickers. She checked the cube, making sure the stickers were staying on.
She set the cube down next to her on the bed, and decided to try to fix her hair again, she could feel that it was still messed up, and normally that would not bother her. However, today she felt different, she did not know if it was because of what she was wearing, or what, but she had the sudden impulse to try to fix her hair. She ran her fingers through it, getting most of the pieces that were semi-stuck up, and then she flipped it all to one side over her shoulder. She kept the scrunchy she had used as a ponytail holder around the same wrist she had her bracelets on, which was the same wrist that had the burn mark on it. She made sure all of her hair was over her left shoulder, and she quickly ran her hand over her necklace, butterflies suddenly appearing in her stomach. She did not know why she felt nervous all of the sudden, she couldn’t think of a reason why she had the butterflies. She picked up the cube, mixed it up again, and smiled. She knew for sure that Ethan would not be able to solve it now, and instead of simply throwing it at him, there was a voice inside her head that told her to walk over and hand it to him.
She did as the voice said. She got up, and walked over to Ethan. As she bent slightly to hand him the Rubix cube, his eyes caught hers. They were a bright blue, she loved his eyes the most when they were this color, and she couldn’t look away. It was not the first time she was “lost” in his eyes. She felt the butterflies in her stomach begin to flip, and she knew her heart was speeding up. She set the Rubix cube in his hand, her eyes still on his, and as she leaned closer, the voice in her head seemed to yell, “He likes you doofus!”. She did not know whether the voice was right or not, but she wanted it to be right, she needed it to be. Ignoring what she had promised herself earlier, she leaned closer to Ethan. She leaned closer to the boy she had liked since she first saw him, to the boy she was not sure liked her back. She hoped her liked her back, she hoped the voice was right, or else their friendship would become extremely awkward.
The butterflies began to have seizures as she leaned in even closer, and she swear her heart would explode by the time her lips touched his.
And she swore she was hearing bells.

( THIS IS A DANCE ) for all the lovers, taking a chance for one another- - - - - - - - - - - - What would happen if he told her how he felt? What would her reaction be? Would he blush or cry or what? The worst part about feelings of like were all the questions. Nothing was set in stone, but then again, life wasn't like that either. Things were always changing, but like the ocean, there were some things that could always be depended on. Could Ethan depend on Selah?
He didn't know when it had happened, but Led Zeppelin had stopped playing on his iPod. When he realized what song was playing, he knew that Melanie had put new music on the gadget.
"It's a bit like being angry, it's a bit like being scared," Ethan sang along as he watched Selah mix up the cube. Electricity from the musical Billy Elliot...Ethan would get back at Melanie for it, but he focused on the words now, putting revenge in the back of his mind.
He watched Selah switch the stickers, but didn't let her know that he knew. Sharks had good eyesight, and he was a shark shifter...plus, she wasn't doing the best job hiding her actions.
"And suddenly I'm flying, flying like a bird, like electricity, electricity," he sang along again. It freaked him out how much this song seemed to fit to his life right now, but all that mattered was Selah. He watched her walk to him with the Rubic cube, and all at once he felt like crying and laughing and smiling and running away! Just like there were questions, there were also answers. What was the answer to this situation though? Maybe answers weren't obvious though, maybe the answers to life where harder to find than say doing biochemistry homework.
Selah leaned her face towards his, and it felt like an army of fishes out of water were spazzing out all at the same time. Her lips were right there, the Rubix didn't matter any more. He realized then that around Selah he was a different person. Whenever he had been around his mom, he had been defensive and ruthless, but around Selah he felt he could relax more and just let things go. He remembered how he had comforted her during the storm, remembered every single moment that he'd laughed with her.
As a guy, he was pretty sure he was supposed to make the first move, but when her lips touched his, he forgot just about everything. He kissed her, and he felt...complete, he guessed? Maybe being a different person was good sometimes. He wondered what his mom would think of him now, if she would still want to drown him, but he didn't care. He felt tears well up underneath his eyelids and he felt like a changed person. He pulled back from the kiss, his tears thankfully not falling, and he grinned a full out I'm-the-luckiest-guy-in-the-world grin. He didn't care that his head was screaming at him that this was going by too fast, that his feelings for Selah shouldn't be this strong. He shut the voice out, and opened his mouth to say something, but the words wouldn't come.
He wasn't sure whether it was the tears that were making him feel scared and weak or whether it was...? He wasn't sure what this it was, but he wasn't sure If he liked it. He didn't want to be weak, he needed to be strong; so with a heaping load of courage, Ethan gave Selah a peck on the lips and said, "You wanna go out sometime?" words --- 590? Something like that. tagged --- Selah. outfit --- here! notes --- For a teenage guy, I think I did pretty well on this post ;P

Led Zeppelin, Rubix, and PJs…oh my! She saw his lips move, and she heard the words coming out, but she couldn’t completely register that it was actually happening, that he was actually asking her out. She didn’t know what he meant, if he meant a date or a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, she thought she was probably over thinking and complicating everything, so she stopped. She stopped thinking, literally. Her mind went blank; she was not sure what to say. And then, she knew. It was the same little voice that had screamed at her earlier that he liked her. She knew what to say. She smiled at him, sweetly, heartbreakingly, and said with a hint of sarcasm melted into her words, “Hmmm….sorry, I don’t like you that way.” She ruffled his hair playfully, laughed, and walked out the door.
Selah was still in the skin of the girl she wanted to be, she had been playful with Ethan, and she hoped he knew she was kidding. She had walked about twenty feet away from his door, when a dark realization slithered into her mind. What if Ethan hadn’t understood that she was kidding? What if he thought she was serious? Selah turned around, and started to walk back towards his room. She stopped right outside his door, set a flirty smile on her face, and poked her head in.
“Eeeethaaannn?” she drew out his name playfully, “If you wanna know my real answer, come catch me,” she laughed.
Selah smiled at Ethan and winked before bolting down the hallway. She had got halfway down when she realized she had left her MP3 and camera, she slowed down and yearned to go back and get them, but she also did not want Ethan to catch her.
She thought she heard footsteps behind her, and so she dashed further down the hall, she noticed a doorway to a room that was set further in the wall than the rest, she stopped and hid in the doorway.
As she waited for Ethan to run by so she could scare him, she began to think about how this would affect their friendship, and where they would go from there.

( THIS IS A DANCE ) for all the lovers, taking a chance for one another- - - - - - - - - - - - Finally. After so many months of hiding his feelings, he'd kissed her – even though she'd made the first move). But what did she go and do? After smiling adorably – in a way that just made him want to yell, “Is it really all right for you to be so damn cute?” – she went and left. Was she joking? Ethan hoped she was, or else he felt like his heart would break. Yeah, the shark was now just cartilage, he felt like a bowl of Jell-O. What had she just said? Ethan blinked in surprise when she ruffled his hair, and he clenched his teeth when she made that sarcastic comment.
“Dammit,” he said, and kicked his desk in anger. His eyes tightened and he wondered if they were a steely gray because of his determination now. What had it been...four months? Something like that, and she just left? He knew she was kidding – at least he hoped she was – but this was complete insanity. He smirked, she wasn't going to get away from him. Four months! Ethan wasn't the most patient person, but that had been torture, especially because he hadn't known her feelings. Hell, he still didn't! She wouldn't have made the first move if she hadn't liked him though, right? You could say Ethan had a problem with people, despite his intelligence level; they were never set in stone, they were always changing, and you couldn't always just figure them out like a math problem. She popped back in though, his eyes widened, and he blinked in shock. Had she always been like that? His expression softened a little and he smiled at her playful tone; did it really matter? He liked her. He liked her. He liked her. And she liked him?
Ethan just stood there for a minute, though. Was this actually happening? This was reality, right? Not a dream? Judging from the pain in his foot it was real, but it was simply unbelievable. He was about to take off right after when he realized he still had his boxers on. He grabbed the first pair of sweatpants he saw from his dresser and slipped on a random pair of shoes. He was going after her alright, but he didn't have to embarrass himself to do it. He took off sprinting, and even though he wasn't used to running, he was glad he had muscles from swimming. If he didn't...well, it probably wouldn't have been a pretty site. She was slowing down! He grinned, thinking he could catch up to her even though he wasn't a runner. Much to his dismay, she took off again, and he cursed, “Dammit, Selah!” He was laughing though, and he hoped that they could still be like friends even if they were going out. He didn't want to think about things getting awkward between them. He took off again, at a slower pace, though, and saw that he'd lost her. He frowned, and he started looking around for her. “Oh, Selah,” he called. words --- 500 something? tagged --- Selah. outfit --- duh pants (and shoes)! notes --- eh.

Led Zeppelin, Rubix, and PJs…oh my! date? Selah brushed her fingers through her hair, suddenly overwhelmed by all the thoughts and complications she suddenly realized came with her one simple action. Okay, so the action wasn’t that simple…but it was. A kiss was simple, in the motion part of it, yes. Nevertheless, a kiss was not simple in the affects it had. It could make two people suddenly connected, suddenly aware of how the other felt. Selah started to breathe quicker as she realized that Ethan knew she liked him, or at least he should know. The realization made her nervous, and exhilarated at the same time. He likes me, and I like him. And he knows I like him, Selah thought, and I’m fairly sure he knows I know that he likes me.She smiled, truly smiled, as she became conscious of the fact that she didn’t care if Ethan meant only one date, or for them to become boyfriend/girlfriend. He. Liked. Her. Moreover, more importantly, she liked him, too. The thought startled her, never, ever had Selah had a guy she liked like her back. She felt as if she was in a book, like her whole destiny was already planned, and (for once) that thought didn’t bother her, as long as the rest of her life were like that moment. She thought of the many musicals she had seen, the hundreds of plays she had read, the several fairytales she had heard, and the millions of love songs she knew every word to. She felt that all of those things finally had meaning, she no longer wanted to make fun of the love songs; she did not want to throw the fairytale book across the room while accusing it of giving little girls false hopes. She was finally the princess this time; she finally had a prince in shining armor...er…swim trunks. “Oh, Selah?”Ethan pulled Selah from her thoughts, and she looked from the doorway she was hiding in to see him a few feet farther down the hall than she was. His back was to her, she noticed he had put on some pants before he left his room, and she instantly felt embarrassed as she remembered that she was only wearing half a shirt. She took her thoughts away from what she was wearing, and judged the distance he was from her, and she was fairly certain she could sneak up on him from behind and scare him…but she had a better idea. It was an idea that she would certainly have to put in a cutesy fairytale someday. She tiptoed out of the doorway she was in, and quietly bolted so she could close the space between Ethan and herself. She figured he had not seen, nor heard, her coming up behind him. She laced her fingers through his as she grabbed his right hand with her left. She couldn’t stop her heart from speeding up slightly when she felt his palm against hers. She also couldn’t help that her voice sounded slightly breathy. “Oh, look at that you caught me,” she said, smiling up at him with a smile that was meant only for Ethan. “Do you wanna know my real answer now?”
She paused, as if she was contemplating her next action, then she leaned toward him and kissed him again. She hoped that he would figure out her answer was yes, if he didn’t she wouldn’t mind answering him. She did enjoy teasing him though.

( THIS IS A DANCE ) for all the lovers, taking a chance for one another- - - - - - - - - - - - Had they always been like this? It seemed like they were acting differently, but did Ethan really care? He felt, not GIDDY, but pretty close to it. He knew that he hadn't felt like this in a long time; the only thing that was better than knowing that Selah liked him was the ocean. Nothing could beat the ocean, but this was pretty close. When had it started though? When had he made the conscious thought of liking her? When did he start smiling whenever he saw her? When did his name start sounding different when she said it? He didn't care. She. Liked. Him. Of course, she ran away, but that was just teasing, right? Right, and...He. Liked. Her. This was really happening...Stuff like this never happened, only took place in movies. How was this supposed to happen in real life? Maybe it just happened, Ethan didn't really know. He didn't think anybody really knew, it was just one of those things you had to take a chance on. It was like poker: there was always gambling involved, but sometimes, you could come out a winner.
And Ethan was a winner.
At least, he was after he “caught” Selah.
She caught him though, and he grinned when she placed her hand in his. He hoped his hand wasn't sweaty, he REALLY hoped it wasn't. There was something familiar about having her hand there, but there was something strange, too. Her fingers laced through his made him feel...well, there wasn't really a word for it. It wasn't holding hands that made his heart start to pound though, it was her voice. There was just something about it that made him want to grin, but her words set his heart pounding. Her real answer! He knew it already, at least, he hoped he knew it already, but there was something unreal about this whole thing, something fated. Ah, yes, though. Another kiss. He couldn't help but smile as they kissed, something that was in just about every romantic comedy ever.
“So,” Ethan began. “We're boyfriend and girlfriend now, right?”
I can't believe I just said that, he thought. Could he have been any more blunt? He could have quoted something, or said something cool and collected, but no. Blunt Ethan beat out Romantic Ethan, which really, really, kinda sucked. At least he thought it did...but like he'd told himself already, he didn't care. He didn't care. They liked each other. He smirked a little, and kissed her, then pulled back.
“Oh,” he remembered, “When's your birthday?” words --- 430. tagged --- Selah. outfit --- too lazeh notes --- There ya go;. hope it's ok...it's...decent?
