A bead of sweat swelled at her brow and slowly began to make its descent down her face. This heat was going to take some getting use to. She liked her cold weather with the max hitting 70 if she was lucky, now she was standing in 80-90 degree weather. The plus side to this move was enough though for her to spend her senior year in this heat. There was always the ocean to cool off in after all. With a final sigh she mustered up the courage and opened one of the doors to the dorm rooms. As soon as she walked through the door she came to a wall with a sign on it, and a set of stairs next to it. Follow the instructions on the sign she headed toward the stairs. Wow how original girls upstairs and boys downstairs, she smirked at her own thought. The smell of wet dog filled her nose as she started her ascension on the stairs. She had heard that a hurricane just recently struck so they must still be in the process of cleaning up around her. Damn keen senses were going to be a pain in her butt for a bit.
This place was so quiet she noticed as she reached the top. She hadn't seen anyone on the first floor, and now the same with the second floor. how strange she thought to herself. Pursing her lips together, her hand dipped into the front pocket of her jeans. Damn it, were did i put it she muttered to herself as she did a pat check on all of her pockets till finally the folded piece of paper made an appearance in her back pocket. Unfolding the piece of paper to read what it held her eyes glanced up at the doors along the hallway. 215........... 215 She is one to talk aloud to herself often. Finally finding the number on a door she moved down the hallway heading the the room on her left. Coming to a halt in front of the door she noticed the 2 was hanging slightly crooked. Attempting to fix it she raised her hand and touched the metal number, and moved it slightly to the right only for it to fall back to its original position. Shed worry about that later. Pulling her key out of the same pocket the paper appeared in she slide it into the lock and swung open the door.
Her eyes darted around the room, surveying her surroundings. She is to curious for her own good, her eyes are always darting around a new room or even a old hangout. things always change and she likes to know where everything is and how it is laid out. The room seemed really empty, she supposedly had a room mate but none of the 3 beds had anything decorating them, nor did the walls have anything. Maybe her roommate hadn't arrived yet, or maybe she left already, or she could be on vacation. Who knows to many scenarios for something she really didn't care about. Moving to the furthest bed on the left she dropped her duffel bags onto the floor and sat down on her bed. The room wasn't much, it held 3 beds all facing the door, with an Armour and night stand beside each one. There was 1 desk directly across the room from her bed and two more on the other side of the door. The walls were a simple off white and there was 3 fans with the lights attached. one above each bed almost it seemed. On the wall with the headboards there was one big window that ran from about 3 ft off the floor all the way up to the ceiling. The view from the window you could see a beach, and scattered trees in between. It was breathtaking to her. She hadn't seen much beaches in her time, mostly woods and this sight was awe inspiring to her.
Looking away from the view for a moment she noticed she forget to shut her door. Not feeling like moving and hearing no noise from the hallway she left it open for the moment and returned her attention to the outside word.
