Overall: [400 words minimum]
Aiden has a fiery temper that occasionally gotten her into trouble. For the most part, Aiden keeps to herself and dosen‘t have many friends. Most people think that because of this, she is arrogant and indifferent to what people tell her. Aiden keeps to herself to protect herself from being let down by other people. Aiden is extremely sensitive to what people say to her and most of the time she takes it in a wrong manner. Because of this she has horrible self confidence. Her people skills need a lot of work, most of the time she feels as if her only true friends are her tools and cars.
When in school, Aiden tries her best even though she isn‘t too good at a particular subject. Her stubbornness won’t allow her to give up. Aiden hates working on foreign cars, she feels as if they are trying to crowd her and Aiden would rather work on domestic cars. Aiden strongly believes that a mechanic is only as good as their tools, so she prides herself on having the best tools for the job. Aiden doesn’t know much in the way of books and schooling, but she prides herself on being the best at what she does.
Aiden loves to run. In both her forms, running is a past time. It allows her to keep her stress level down and it keeps her from snapping at other people. Aiden is athletic and works out when she can. Though she loves sports, Aiden can’t stand Jocks. She doesn’t like the fact that they get what/whomever they want without trying. Because she has had to work for anything she wanted in life, Aiden knows the value of fair play and hard work.
Aiden has a secret passion and that’s playing the violin. Most people don’t know it, but she is partially deaf. She plays by feeling the resonating vibrations in her chest. Her grandfather taught her how to play when she wasn’t able to go to her father’s shop. People perceive her as an uncultured person, but her violin skills are great enough that she at one point had been accepted to a prestigious school for music, but turned it down so she could work on cars with her dad.
The thing that scares her the most is loosing her dad. Her father has been her biggest influence on her life, she relies heavily on his advice and admires him. He taught Aiden that having a good heart and making the right decisions was more important then anything else. Aiden’s main creed is to find what you stand for and to back it with your whole heart no matter what other circumstances may arise.

Because of her mother, who was Irish, she gained freckles on her nose. Aiden stands tall, at about 6’. She is on the skinny side, but has more muscle then fat. Aiden is considered plain looking, though most people say she is beautiful because of her Native American mystery. Most people can’t tell that she is half Irish because she spent many days outside in the sun helping her father. Aiden has a single scar that runs all the way across her back and up to her right shoulder. it’s the reason why she can’t raise her right hand higher then her left hand. She’s left-handed for that reason.
Aiden has many tattoos and pricings. She has a single hole in her left ear and four holes in her right. On her left arm is a sleeve tattoo of a Celtic cross and other Celtic saints and heroes. On her right arm, she has a sleeve that depicts a Native American warrior that is standing there with a coyote. On the lower arm she has a string of Native American feathers. Aiden’s coyote is slightly smaller then your average coyote but only by a couple of inches. She has deep brown eyes a slightly dingy coat. For the most part her fur is grey with flecks of white. She has an overlay of redish-brown fur that goes from the tip of her snout down to her rump. Aiden’s tail is completely grey and white. Her belly fur is white and pretty fluffy while her top coat is a rougher and courser fur. The only way that you can tell that the coyote is part of her is the single darker brown streak of fur that goes from her left hip up to her right shoulder. This mirrors the scar that she has in human form. [/size]

[400 words minimum]
.Aiden was born on a summer morning to her mother Kathrine Faollan. At the time her father wasn’t around. Her father, Kota Whitepaw, was a Crow Indian and lived on a reservation. Her mother was pure breed Irish. This gave Aiden her temperment and stubbornness. Aiden was born half deaf and there was nothing that they could do to fix her hearing. Her mother was an alcoholic and when Aiden was three, she abandoned her at the gate of one of the Native American Reservations. All Aiden had was a card with her father’s name and address on it. Since then she has lived on the reservation. Her father was surprised when Aiden showed up on his doorstep, being that her mother had kept her a secret from her father. Her father really stepped up to play the part of her dad. Aiden has an older half-brother by her mother, but has never gotten the chance to meet him.
During her childhood, Aiden spent most of her time at her father’s mechanic shop. Kota would show her how to work engines and fix transmissions. This quality time would really make a mark on her. On the days when her father would have to go elsewhere, her Grandfather Whitepaw would take her to his house and teach her to play the violin. He taught her how to read music and how to play the violin based on the vibrations in her chest. When she was eight, Aiden was playing with her best friend, Eric, by the cliff face. They tried to race up the face of the cliff. Aiden fell after being about thirty feet up the cliff. When she landed, she had multiple broken ribs and her back was cut all the way open from her left hip to her right shoulder. Her right shoulder had been shattered in the fall. Aiden went through almost an entire year of painful physical therapy. Then she learned to replay the violin.
Aiden’s father told her stories about shifters from Native American legends. Kota told her that most of the Native Americans would transform by using the pelts of whatever animal they wished to transform into. Aiden was enthralled by the stories. Until she was eleven, she thought the stories were just that, stories. Then her father showed her that he could shift. Kota’s shifting spirit was a hawk. Then her grandfather showed her his shifting as well, his was a bear. They told her that most of the Whitepaw clan could shift and it was rare that a child was born without the ability. Kota told Aiden that her change would come on a New Moon.
At the age of twelve, Aiden had her first transformation in the spring. Her father and grandfather helped her through the change. She was shocked to see that her form was a Coyote. Kota told her that it was no surprise to him that her form was a coyote. Her grandfather said that an animal spirit manifestation was biased on a person’s personality and character. It was a painful experience for her but atleast she had people to help her. Her transformation had earned her the nickname as “the prairie song bird” from her grandfather and father.

Aiden gave a small curse as she dropped her wrench once more. This little black Mazda she was working on was more trouble then it was worth. Sure she could fix it, that wasn’t a problem. The real problem was that there was no room for her to maneuver her tools. No one was around the shop and it was nearing closing time. Aiden looked up to see her dad in the office, it looked as if he was doing paperwork of some kind. Aiden wiped the grease off of her hands and then went to wash them in the shop sink. After she wiped down her tools she replaced them back in her tool chest.
Aiden jumped up to grab the garage doors from the roof and gently pulled them down. Her right shoulder gave a small ache before she walked over to the corner and picked up her violin. Aiden let out a deep breath before she placed the bow gently on the strings. A sad note rang out across the garage, echoing in her one good ear. The vibrations in her chest made her feel happy and it comforted her. She played a familiar Irish tune. A happy pub song. Something someone could dance to. Aiden’s eyes snapped up as a loud crash came from outside the garage. She gently placed the violin and it’s bow back in the case before she shifted into her Coyote form.
From this point of view, everything was different. Aiden looked up at the world and smelled things that others had never could never pick up. Aiden shook out her fur and scratched behind her ear. There was something odd. There was a normal smell of gas, grease, and the faint scent of her father. But what caught her nose was the smell of burning wood. An earthen smell that she recognized but had no idea where it came from. Aiden pushed the dog door open. She was glad that her father had installed it for her after she learned how to shift.
Outside the scent was stronger. The wood wasn’t from this part of the reservation. But it was familiar. Aiden put her nose to the ground and quickly picked up the scent. The trail took her around the building and up the small trail that lead into the woods. Aiden’s ears perked up and she let out a slow, mournful howl. A deep grunt and low grumbling growl announced the presence of another shifter. This one was a bear. Not just any bear though, but her grandfather. She bounded up the trail with her tail high and wagging. She licked at the bears face happily. Now it was time to go hunt.
