Spiraling Out of Control (Rin/Dimitri)

Blood was everywhere, I dripped from his mouth. His canines were sunk deep into his flesh. He could feel the soft tissue being ripped apart by his powerful jaws. The metallic taste of the red liquid was all in his mouth. He wasn't going to let go and didn't plan on letting go. His once gray fur that surrounded his face was now wet and crimson. With each tug a dark growl erupted. The boy screamed and cried as the wolf held onto his leg. The wolf was going to kill him, he was going to. Suddenly he felt a bang on his back...

Sam woke up to the bump of the plane landing onto the road. Nightmares, that's all Sam has now a days. The incident was years ago but to Sam it was like it happened just yesterday, It haunted him and Sam feared it would haunt him for the rest of his life. He had run away from his family, feeling guilty that because of his first shift his family had to go into running. Sam didn't want to put that on his family so he left. But when that other wolf told Sam of this Shifter Academy Sam felt it was the only place he would fit in.

Flying into the island was harsh. They said there was a hurricane but they managed to get one more flight in before all the other flights were canceled. The school was great. The island was near a human island but the shifters weren't allowed to let anyone know of their shifting ability. Sam wasn't assigned a dorm yet so he gave his bags in a holding area. Maybe because of the storm things there were delayed.

Sam decided to take a tour of the school. Not to many students were around. While walking around Sam would smell all sorts of animals. Even ocean mammals. He could smell animals like zebra's, cheetahs, bears, rabbits... whales. It was like a zoo, Sam figured he would have to get used to it but it wasn't that bad though. He finally got to the lounge when he finally got a sent of another wolf. Sam knew the sent of a wolf and it made him happy inside. So he wasn't all alone.

Sam followed the sent until he reached a girl with black hair. She was younger than him but only by a year. Sam sat across from her then smiled. "Hey, I... well smelled you from across the room. Maybe you smelled me too but, well being your a wolf and I'm a wolf, we could... get to know each other. Sam, Sam Matthews." Sam wanted to hold out his hand but he didn't want to come of corney, being some wolves can be very fierce.

O didn't he know? But how could he possibly know? The Wolf, the stench, the decay of morality, the destruction of everything good -- she knew it well ,this little bit of death she could hold between her jaws. The memories that lingered in his brain were that which haunted her as well. It was a disease, but the Wolf was only an effigy of the only sin she could never forgive herself for: she had destroyed what should never have been in danger to begin with. But her jaws that touched upon tender neck, her ears had caught the screams, had glorified and thrilled the moment those screams hit a pitch of inexorable fear. She had grown lax and intoxicated on the glory of this languor, this sex that came in the form of blood and death and grief.

---- but Rin had woken up to pain. She had woken up to darkness and water and a pulsing need for air that could not be satisfied when there was a hand holding her down under the surface. She was supposed to have died that day, but hadn't - for one reason or another. The lines of fate have been drawn, and they had brought the male to the female, had brought Wolf to Wolf, and all that was left was the dominance play where tooth and claw fit together in one frenzied dance of desire and hate. She didn't even acknowledge the scent; she was deep in thought, her flowing from one fluid thought to the next as she floated from one little bit of nothingness to the next: she should have died several days ago. Yet again she had been saved. Yet again, she was forced to recognized strength in another form: tenderness.

But the Wolf felt defiled, and itchy, and it slugged it's weight around the corridors of Rin's mind -- didn't even occur to her to lift her gaze to meet the scent, for the scent, yes, yes, the prey, was coming to her. The predator awoke to the sound of a foreign voice; her gaze lifted up, almond shaped and tilted like a cat's but she was no cat to come stalking in the midst of the night, using silence and cunning: she was brutality in all it's sleek fire. She was Rin, and the world would be hers if it showed the slightest bit of weakness before her seeking jaws.

Slapped in the face by the touch of the wolf, Rin leaned back against the seat, refusing to acknowledge his height as a sign of his superiority; the Wolf was stalking, lifting it's nose, loving, in love, greedy with it, no, no, maddened with it. This one was untried, untouched by anything. Wolves aplenty had fallen before her, though she was slight and weak. Though they thought her insane and unjustifiable; she grins, but it is only a slight curling of her lip, a smile, yes, that terrible, aching smile that Dimitri hates, that Luke cannot stand. There are others who know the smile, but they are so far from her thoughts that they can no longer exist. Their strengths had been weighed, measured and found wanting -- so too would this boy, who checked himself as if he were to reach for her.

Hey, I... well smelled you from across the room. Maybe you smelled me too but, well being your a wolf and I'm a wolf, we could... get to know each other. Sam, Sam Matthews.

[/i] -- his words were odd, and she had trouble following the fluidity of his thoughts as they collided and meshed and extricated themselves; it was a quilt she felt she couldn't be bothered to figure out. What puzzle was this that forced itself into her hands? She snorts, hooking hair behind her ear with one hand.

---- but the Wolf was a bitch, in heat, and it squirmed at the scent of a male nearby, a wolf, no less, that called to her, to dominant, to own, to capture in her own black, insidious gaze; the girl, bored, follows, though it is not in her nature to toy. She claims, but never toys -- it is to the cats that play with food. There is no honor, in that. But her lips are turning from that nasty smile into something a little more mischievous, a little less colder, though there is no warmth to be had --- but the heat, the flames of her very existence which are rising up around her. She is the epitome of that fire, and it defines her, though they are ineffable, and metaphorical. "Rin." she spits the word out as if it tastes foul, though it is her own name, one she should be proud of, but the name Sayuri died with her brother's lips shouting the name, crying out the name. So came Rin, birthed into a world of blood and guts, and everything squishy in between. "Do you usually just walk up to people and interrupt them?" she asks, shifting her weight to put her chin in her hand, elbow propped on the table. She swivels slightly, eyelids flickering as if sleepy, but she is watching him from under those fluttering lashes, judging him, wanting him, as a little child wants the shiny new toy just out of reach.

It is not a question of if she will throw him out, it is, simply, a question of when.
