Addidas felt wary as he walked through the empty halls. The close walls and endless number of doors stretched out before him. The hairs on the back of his neck stood out straight. All he wanted to do was run, get out of there. Maybe take a jog outside. But, no. It looked like he wouldn't be able to go outside for a long time. His eyes darted to and fro swiftly, suspicious of everything. Dazz wasn't exactly paranoid, but bad experiences had made him stay on his toes at all times. The constant beating of the hurricane had also gnawed away at his nerves, too.
112...112... His blue eyes skimmed the hand-carved numbers over every door. Aha. He jammed his key into the hole, twisted, and let himself in. There were three beds in the dorm. Two of them, by the looks of it, were already inhabited. Dazz eyed them cautiously, wondering what traits their owners had. Beside the bed that had been unslept sat three bags. Dazz could only stare at them before tentatively picking the smallest one up and gently resting it on his bed. He unzipped it slowly, as if he were afraid that something would suddenly leap out at him. Then again, he was probably expecting that to happen. He wasn't used to having things. Shivers still ran through his spine when he remembered the ways of his stepfather, and what had happened to him. No one could ever get used to the thought of committing a murder.
When he opened the bag--and was satisfied that no harm would come from it--he almost felt astonished that he had so much stuff. It was stuffed with clothes. Jeans, T-shirts, shoes, even swimwear. All in his size. Creepy. Addidas hadn't packed the suitcase himself. In fact, he didn't really even know who had. He didn't even really know who'd gotten him here, to Shifter Academy. They could've been angels from God, as far as Dazz knew. He zipped the bag up again, putting it back on the floor. He didn't really know what to do with it. He felt awkward, having all of these clothes that fit him perfect all coming from someone he didn't know. Like, what was a guy supposed to do? Part of him wanted to try giving it back, since they hadn't needed to get him all of that stuff in the first place. But, the mysterious stranger problem came back again.
Well, he knew he couldn't complain. Right now, he had more than he'd ever had before combined. He scratched the back of his neck, and then sat down on the soft bed.
After everything had sunk in, Dazz let out a low whistle. It was still hard to believe that he was here, in his own (well, sort of) dorm room with his own bed, and his own stuff. And even harder to believe that he owed it all to someone he barelly knew.
He perked up when he thought he heard someone coming, and nearly stopped breathing as the doorknob slowly turned... [/color]
