Overall:Midnight is an intelligent, kind girl, but very short-tempered. She is a bit moody. Nevertheless, she is willing to make an effort to be friendly toward those who are friendly to her. She strongly feels like she is alone, no one relates to her. She is misunderstood easily as being bossy when she, well meaning, suggests a better course of action to a person or group she is working with. Midnight feels that she must always justify herself and stand up when someone spreads a false rumor about her. This leads her to say something that embarrasses her, causing her to be angry with herself. She is clumsy, not only with her words, but also with her actions.
Midnight is very knowledgeable across the board, and can easily appear to be a know-it-all. She often seems arrogant and haughty and tends to correct people when they are erroneous. Midnight is very particular about the way she does things, and her mannerisms can virtually be described as those of a person having obsessive-compulsive disorder. However, she does not show this kind of particularity in her home life, meaning that in spite of herself, her room appears to be messy, and she does not hold strict dieting standards, except for a strong preference for meat, particularly poultry.
Midnight is very analytical. She analyzes everything she does and, more often than not, things done by others. This quality allows Midnight to edit very efficiently and effectively. Her friends, and occasionally her enemies, will come to her asking her to look over their paper for errors.
Along with being analytical, Midnight compartmentalizes herself so that her emotions are not present in a businesslike environment. The only time she lets her emotions flow freely is when she is writing or dancing.
Being a hopeless romantic, Midnight longs for love. Against her best efforts, she is known to be clingy with her significant other. She is very touchy-feely with her most intimate friends, and that irritates them. Because she is so moody, she is frequently mistaken for being over-dramatic when she is actually frustrated or upset. Her emotions are often leaning toward one end of the spectrum or the other, and she has a great deal of "bad days". It is rare for her to have a day where she is happy all day.
She usually likes to be alone, particularly when she is upset and close to tears. Midnight, believing that crying in public is weakness, shows very little emotion concerning sadness. She thinks that she is emotionally tough and must be so at all times. People will mistake this for being cold or stoic. She likes warmer, sandy climates, but does not mind woodlands, savannahs, or scrub forests. She often spends her alone time in trees, practicing her climbing skills.
...appearance
Celebrity Play By:Hayley Williams
Appearance: Midnight is a slightly taller girl at 5'8” and is of average weight at 125 pounds. Her hair is a light tawny color, appearing as a light vibrant sandy orange in summer and a darker reddish-brown color in winter. It is of a medium length and is layered. Midnight's almond-shaped cat eyes are hazel, switching between green and certain shades of brown. They are typically the greenest either when she is in her cat form or when she has been crying. Those eyes adorn a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones. Her nose is fairly wide, but proportionate to her face. Her mouth is made of two fairly full, shapely lips. She is a bigger-framed girl with broad shoulders and curves in all the right places, although she is fairly thin. She has long legs due to her height, and small, narrow feet. Midnight's ears are pierced and she has a tattoo on her lower back of a semi-open rose laying on its side with a long, curvy stem and five long, pointy, curved thorns. She typically wears a flowing, dressy black top with wide straps, boot-cut medium blue jeans, and black Converse Chuck Taylor shoes or a white button-up shirt with black pants and black Converse Chuck Taylor shoes when she is dressing up. She usually wears her hair down, in a ponytail, or in a bun. She does not wear extravagant makeup unless she is dressing up for an occasion. Her general style is comfy chic with a modern twist on classic styles.
As a caracal, Midnight has sand-colored fur that gets lighter near her skin, also known as ticking. She has long black ear tufts. She is very slender and muscular. Her legs are long and she has a relatively short tail, only a foot long. She is 35 inches long and weighs 25 pounds, an average weight for a caracal. Her eyes are green with round pupils, an unusual feature for a smaller cat. There are no markings on her except for two black spots above her eyes, white patches around her eyes and nose, and a black line running from the corners of her eyes to her mouth, making her look like she is smiling. Her chin and belly are white, and she has a short jaw with powerful, long canine teeth. Her head is very narrow. Because caracals live typically in sandy areas, there are stiff hairs growing between her paws. [/size]
...history
Parents: John and Nicole Parker
Siblings:none
Midnight was the only child to John and Nicole Parker, a businessman and a paralegal. Neither parent really wanted to have children, and it was unexpected to Nicole when she found out she was pregnant. It upset her and made her feel burdened because she was a very independent woman. John was not thrilled either, especially after finding out that Midnight was to be a girl, since he had decided that if he was to have children, the eldest would need to be a son to take over the law firm. Nicole took only the very minimum maternity leave time. From then on, Midnight was left at a day care or with a babysitter when she was older. The babysitter was often negligent, doing the bare minimum to care for Midnight's needs and then sitting on the couch and talking to her boyfriend on the phone all night while Midnight sat and watched TV or read one of the several books she had. It seemed like she was always on her own and in her own little world. Then she started school. Her parents expected good grades from her, which she lived up to, but it was always the same routine: get up, go to school, come home to a sitter, eat dinner, go to sleep. As she got older, there was no need for a sitter as Midnight could look after herself.
Then one day when she was thirteen, it happened. She was in the park, one of her favorite places to be. She was lying on the ground sunbathing when she seized up in pain. Midnight could hear and feel bones popping, changing, growing. She tried to scream out in agony, but what she heard sounded like a caracal growling. That concerned her worse. She rolled over onto her feet and looked around. Thankfully, no one was at the park to see her. She was good about picking quiet times of day when she could just be alone. She felt suddenly starving. That's when she saw the bird just a few feet away. It was only a small sparrow, but it was enough to drive her mad with blood lust. She lunged forward, running as quickly as possible. The bird was startled and began to fly off. Midnight jumped with her powerful legs, reached up, and snatched the bird right out of the air. She very quickly devoured it, feeling satisfied. Suddenly her eyes widened. 'Oh, my god!' she thought to herself. 'What have I just done?! I must be a monster!' Horrified, she began running back home. 'If I can just get home, maybe this'll all go away. Maybe I'm just dreaming.' She arrived home, walked through the door panting, and waited anxiously for her parents to return. As soon as they stepped through the door, Midnight began telling her parents about the events that had happened a few short hours earlier, verbally falling over herself trying to get the words out. Her parents exchanged a look and told her all about them being shifters. They recounted about her grandparents on her mother's side, and her father's great-grandfather. After sending their daughter to bed, John and Nicole made the decision to send Midnight to the Shifter Academy, where they knew she would be in safe hands.

Running. Running. All she could remember was running. But what was she running from? She couldn't remember. Suddenly, she heard a growl. 'Mountain lion?' she thought. She could feel the icy pain in the center of her chest, the air thicken with every breath she took. 'Curse my asthma!' She desperately tried to pick her feet up. Looking back, she saw a pair of glowing, bright red eyes. She begged, pleaded with herself. 'Please go faster, just a little. Please!' She wished she knew what the thing she was running from was. 'What creature has red eyes and sound like a mountain lion?' she wondered, frantically racking her brain for an answer. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. There was no creature with red eyes that sounded like a mountain lion. She felt her muscles ache as her speed increased.
'Home.' The word popped into her head in a joyful apocalypse. 'If I can just get home, I'll be safe.' It was a delusional rationalization, but she was just crazy enough to try it. 'But how do I get there in one piece?' A light bulb went off. Feeling stupid for not thinking of it before, she began feeling herself changing into the caracal she knew she was. 'Now I'm on the same level with this thing.' She had a new perspective on the woods she was running through. It made them seem so familiar. She dodged left and right through the trees, oddly knowing exactly where she was at and where she was going. 'I didn't know I had instincts,' she reflected.
She was almost there. She could see the front door, the light of the living room. All she had to do was run up the front porch and leap through the door. She could hear evil laughter behind her. “You're not going to make it, Midnight.” It had an evil voice; she imagined that the devil had a voice like that. 'What if he is the devil?' She looked back at the thing, a fatal mistake. It lunged at her, and she felt claws digging into her hindquarters. She let out a yowl in agony as she fell.
Suddenly, she sat bolt upright, panting in a cold sweat. She looked around her. Nightstand, television, closet, bathroom, door. She was in her room. “Oh, thank God. It was only a dream!” she exclaimed, falling back onto the bed.
