Well tonight was certainly going to be one out of the ordinary, that was certain. Whether or not it'd amount to one of something good or bad remained to be the question, but the feline shift was more than eager to find out. Sitting at her computer desk in the empty dorm room, the light from the laptop was pretty much all that illuminated the room and her face, casting an eerie glow as she sat in the dominantly dark room. Two out of the three beds were empty; being hers and Sage's. Kotori was under the mound of blankets in there.. somewhere.. but she wasn't exactly what Gisselle would label talkative. Or friendly. Or approachable. Or.. well, pleasant. And so she kept to herself at the desk, fingers rolling over the keys quickly and fluently without so much as a glance at the keyboard.
Plans were being made. Big ones to her, and probably minor ones to the one she was chatting it up with -- Dimitri, his name was. They'd met a few days ago at some point in the chat room, and in person at least two times she could recall. He was interesting, to say the least, and kept her entertained. Which was all she ever really wanted out of life, simple as the request may be. Anything to get her heart rate up and racing was something to keep around in her book; which lead to her not-so-minor addiction back in her younger years regarding endorphine high's. Her body gave an involuntary shiver at the memory, making her shudder and retract from the keys a moment. Of course, that was years ago. She was past huffing inhalers to get a rush now; and had moved on to 'healthier' things. Like roller coasters. Sky diving when the chance came along.
And more importantly; running.
Icy blue eyes snapped back to attention to the computer screen, reverting out of her momentary day dream as she read over the male's comment, smirking and quickly throwing her own reply. Okay okay, I'll just meet you over there, k? Text me when you get there. And with that, her mouse quickly dragged up to the corner of the instant messenger, logged herself out, and she shut the laptop down, closing the lid with an excited look on her face. The room's only source of light disappeared, swamping the sleeping other and herself into a pool of darkness in a flash. As if the night from the window to her right was creeping inside and wrapping the room in it's pit-less blanket. She only had to blink once. Twice. And a third to finally have her enhanced night vision to kick in, fighting back the stubborn spots she was seeing.
Gisselle quickly scooted the computer chair back, hopping up to her feet lightly and soundlessly, not aiming to wake up the grumpy roommate at all. She preferred to keep her eyes intact. Body fluently whirled towards her dresser, stepping over and around the other beds and random items of her own scattered around the floor. Hands rested on the knobs of the middle dresser drawer, pausing as she looked down at herself. Tonight on the agenda was a.. 'training session', taught by none other than Dimitri himself. He'd been going on about something along the lines of comfort, and she couldn't help but notice his sticky fingers so she gathered he'd either be trying to teach her to steal or something, or become observant. Or maybe something different all together?
She didn't really care. As long as it was exciting, and suited her adrenaline needs, Gisselle would be more than willing to comply. After all, what would one lesson hurt anyways? Eyes drifted back over to the rain splattered window, waiting to see if there was any lightning. There was none, though the deep rumble of thunder's footsteps shook the building lightly. "..Definitely need a hoodie..." she mumbled to herself, yanking the wooden drawer out and riffling her fingers around in the various clothes. Of course, the hoodies were hanging in the closet. But a pajama shirt probably wouldn't do. Nope. Not out in the rain. And so she pulled out a dark green Beatles shirt, with a picture of the yellow submarine on it. Smirking at this, she quickly shred the shirt she had on and traded it with this one, pulling it on and pulling her lengthy hair out from the collar.
Gisselle wasted no time trading her shorts for a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, and adding her Super Man sweatshirt. It was a bit childish, but it was the first black one her hands landed on. Now wasn't the time to be picky -- so long as she could come off as dark as possible in the night to help blend, she'd have to sacrifice her usual bright and colorful attire. The hispanic descent dived into the lower portion of the closet then, fishing out a pair of her converses with little to no traction on the bottom left. Perfect for the rainy weather outside in case it was muddy. Last thing she wanted was to lead a detectable track and get busted later. Hands snatched her room key necklace off the counter, whipped it over her neck and stuffed the cellphone into her jeans pocket.
The girl was out the door in a matter of ten minutes, already halfway down the stairs silently before Kotori could stir twice.
Outside, it was bitter cold. Colder than it had been, despite the summer time season. Fingers retracted up to her hood and forcefully shrugged it over the crown of her head as she took off into the night, a steady yet progressing pace. Rain splashed her face mercilessly, it's chilly fingers wrapping it's self around the bare flesh and clawing at it to it's own free will. One eye was kept propped open while the other was squeezed shut, frame dipping in and out of the campus buildings as her footsteps brought her ever closer to the mall's location. She had to look up it's location on google maps, considering she'd yet to visit it in the short amount of time she'd been on the island. Her sweatshirt was certainly welcomed at that moment as the wind started to pick up again, her frozen fingers clinging to the hood to keep it still. Gizzy desperately wanted to shift; feel her claws return, enhanced muscle groups, and just simply outrun the rain before she became soaked.
But that would require having to leave her clothes behind, which wasn't going to be an option. No, instead, she'd have to just suck it up and keep on moving. Not that she was slow by any means as a human to begin with. After a while of tireless running and squinting through the rain, swearing occasionally under her breath at the weather, the unfamiliar building of the mall loomed ahead. This made her heart skip in a thrilled manner, a pleased smile crossing her lips as she leaned forward and hunched her shoulders and picked up speed. It wasn't long before her shoes were smacking against the parking lot pavement, the white outlines of the empty parking spots blurred from her vision. Her focus was just up ahead, under the main entrance to the mall where there was a slight overhanging - just long enough to shield the feline from the pelting and unforgiving rain.
Body huddled up to this, a light pant working up as she slammed her back against the brick wall, hiding out in the shadowed entrance. Head rested against the outer wall while eyes glazed the surrounding area, checking for the male. Gizzy found he was no where in sight, and so resorted to picking her phone out of her pocket. Luckily for the case, the phone was undamaged from the moisture. Thumbs rolled over the screen of the phone, selecting his name from her contacts and starting a new text message.
Sitting outside the entrance -- gonna keep me waiting, pup? haha Ohh she could only pray he wouldn't. Not in this weather.
