Overall: Yukiko is an incredibly friendly and selfless person who spends her time away from swimming and interacting with the local marine life on celebrating friendship and happiness. She is a very truthful, honest, and happy person who never looks at anything negatively. She prefers to be helpful and sweet when she is even by herself. She surrounds herself with an incredible amount of friends whether animals, shifters, or people.

She, like her animal shift, is an extremely social and friendly person who takes pride in having as many friends, kept well, as possible. She always is interacting with someone at every second of every day unless she's sleeping. Friends to her are the epitome of life and should be celebrated every second. They deserve respect and admiration from all for without friends, life does not continue to permeate itself. Her friends list on her phone is more than the size of a small city. She has so many friends that she had to pay for a custom-made cell phone to handle all the data she delivers on a daily basis.

She preaches absolute happiness and positivity to all around her. Everything to her has a positive side regardless of how bad or terrible. Even the fear and destitution of possibly losing one's life or experiencing a horrible tragedy, she always expresses a joyful and lovely behavior. She constantly has a smile upon her face showcasing her enjoyment. She also spends almost all her time attached to her iPod as she enjoys music almost beyond swimming and helping people.

Her parents have taught her that one must always be aware of your relationship to everything around you at every moment and in the future. One must keep their eye on the big picture. She always knows what she says around people and what it means when she speaks. She knows when she does something what the possible consequences may be. She takes into consideration every factor of every situation even when she doesn't seem to be assessing it obviously.

As she is from the islands of Japan, a country with rich, vicious history of honor and mysticism, she was brought up a Buddhist from birth. Her parents taught her the many virtues indoctrinated by the ancient Samurai of times past. Such virtues enable a person to live by a code that is both steady and true. Seven primary virtues of life: rectitude, courage, benevolence, respect, honesty, honor and loyalty. Along with these values, she learned about family and the importance of keeping one's family in the highest regard.

Above all, Yukiko is a friend, a companion, and a trustworthy person who will always stick by one's side. She will always protect and care for you as though you were a member of her own family.

Appearance: As a human, Yukiko is certainly an exception to the norm of many young Japanese women her age. She stands at a tall 5' 8” and perhaps 130 lb. of agility and subtle strenght. As a woman, she is extremely curvy and strangely plump for a Japanese woman. Wide, formed hips that perpetuate a very fertile young future mother are only even more impressive when stacked against her round, puffy ass that seems to jiggle and wiggle with every movement of her sweet form. Rising up from the base of these hips is an hourglass thin waist indicating a strong abdomen and swift moving muscles. From this sweet abdomen arises a pair of husky and round breasts that exhibit such sway and seduction that any male is attracted, perhaps, solely on these assets.

A pair of strong arms that are bred for quickness and hard strikes rests between thin, feminine shoulders with the strength of an ox. She carries a beautiful, elongated neck similar to the shape of her dolphin heritage. Below those delicious hips are very strong, thick thighs with long thin runner's legs capable of both the power of a martial artist and the grace of a ballet dancer. Overall, across her inviting form is sweet opalescent pink pale skin that is as smooth as silk and as gentle as cotton. She has a pair of deep green-bluish eyes which seem to only give more attraction to her youthful sultry form. Beneath those exotic doe slits rests a cute button-nose and a pair of small but round lips.

As a dolphin, she is extremely agile and quick, with an elongated strong body of pure muscle with that same subtle strength and tender sultriness. Her long pronounced form gives rise to a strong woman who is capable of racing with any male on the seas. Her fins are streamlined and tight to her body, signifying the aptitude of her species. Her snout is perhaps the most strange out of her entire form being slightly longer than most of her species and shaped similar to that of a wavy lock of hair. Her dorsal fin stands tall and true on her back, aligned with her curved spine. The combination of her shape allows her to achieve incredible speeds in the water and even in the air.

Regardless of whatever form she is in, she is quick, lithe, and perceptive to her environment. She is a powerful ally to have whether in the water or on land, taking whatever steps are necessary to help protect and safeguard her beloved friends and family.[/size]

Parents: Her father, Yamato Hokkaido, is a strong man bred from a family who has been teaching the ways of the Ancient Samurai since the early 11th century. He is a Marine Biologist for the Ministry of the Environment of the Japanese Monarchy. For many years, he has fortified the position of how important many large marine mammals existence are to the people of Japan. Yukiko looks up highly to her father for his experience and his diligence for the pursuit of civil rights for dolphins.

Kaori, Yukiko's mother, is an extremely passionate and dedicated woman to the cause of freeing the many species of life on this planet from the terrible clutches of humanity. As a shifter, she has protected marine life for many years and has been a constant companion to all that are willing to accept her help. Her mother has been the driving force behind her desires to be who she wants to be. She has openly supported everything that Yukiko has chosen for herself including her desire to pursue a career in Environmental Biology and eventually Wildlife Conservation.

Siblings: Yukiko once had a younger sister who was born when she was only 4 years old. She treated her younger sister like an awesome friend who always was there to make her laugh or giggle or just smile. Unfortunately, it is not all well as her younger sister was killed by Yakuza gang members when Yukiko was 13 years old. Yukiko visits her grave 4 times a year and always on the anniversary of her sister's death. She is, otherwise, without any siblings.

As a young child, Yukiko is as much as she is now: young, spirited, happy, joyful, and laughing all the time. She spent her youth with her father and mother on adventures around Hokkaido and the mainland of Japan, exploring the depths of coral reefs and the beautiful fields of seaweed across the Eastern seas. As a young girl, it was quite difficult to keep Yukiko still for very long. She was very adventurous and imaginative, seeking out animal friends for play or curiosity. She often would get lost in the dreams and visions within her mind in her own little world.

At a very young age, Yukiko became a big sister and it gave her a very new perspective on the meaning of life. It allowed her to understand responsibility and friendship, even more so than normal. Yukiko became obsessed with trying to make friends, create happiness all around, and hear the sounds of laughter. She truly fell in love with many things revolving around friendship. When Yukiko discovered her innate shifting abilities, her parents moved to a smaller suburb on the outskirts of Sapporo where they could have more privacy to focus on Yukiko's specific shifting abilities.

School for her at that point was quite chaotic as she attempted to gain control of how and when she shifted. She had to learn self-control, determination, and discipline in order to be one with who she was. Thankfully, Yukiko kept rather good grades in school so she never had to worry about trying something over and over again. In high school, she quickly learned that she was extremely adept at science and had an incredibly deep affinity for everything around her that was living. She interacted constantly with animals in almost every environment.

She graduated from high school with honors, but that wasn't enough. Not content to immediately head into college, she opted for Accelerated Personal training classes. Her mother knew of the Academy near Hawaii and when Yukiko mentioned that she wanted to continue training her scientific pursuits more deeply before heading to college, she sent her daughter there. Now, she has come to the island in the hope that she will be able to finish her training, become a more powerful and potent protector of good and righteousness for animals, and eventually head to college.

From birth, Yukiko has been near the water and swimming. She grew up on the Island of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. Her parents were marine biologists and conservationists for the government of Japan. Her mother was also a dolphin shifter, a white-finned bottlenose dolphin of the Sea of Japan. Shifting goes back four generations in her family, all the way before World War I in Kyoto, Japan, during the Meiji Reformation era.

When Yukiko was only 12 years old, she was swimming off the southwestern coast of Hokkaido, by the town of Otaru only 40 miles from her hometown of Sapporo, Hokkaido. A little girl, about the age of 5 got separated from her parents after she fell over in the water from her parents' boat. Seeing that the girl was in danger, Yukiko headed straight for her and suddenly felt the need to go faster. Her body suddenly transformed into a Chinese White Dolphin and she used her new abilities to rescue the little girl from drowning. Once she had the girl safely ontop of her body, she carried the little girl back to her parents' boat in safety.

Ever since, she has become an accomplished swimmer and continuously uses her abilities to rescue people or animals from danger.

Anthony nodded to the Captain as he was handed his Homicide badge. He shook the Captain's hand gently as a photo was taken. He smiled at the cops who so welcomed him and laughed, "Look, guys, you didn't have ta, ya know?" The Captain just laughed and smacked Tony's shoulder, "Nah, it's nice to finally have a fully experienced Homicide detective on the team. We may be a small town compared to Atlanta, but we've still got shit to take care of."

"Yeah, yeah. You got it, Boss. I better go check out my town so I know it well. I'll see you guys lata, alright?" He waved to the cops and stepped out of the station. He placed his badge on the right of his belt, just underneath his jacket. He was wearing a nice decently priced Armani suit made of silk, cotton, some stretch, and pieces of satin. It was a deep black with a white button shirt that was slightly unbuttoned from the top, exposing some of his strong smooth pecs. He wore black straight leg trousers with deep black 100% natural recycled calfskin leather penny loafers. He shook his head at the situation and sighed. He stepped up to his Audi 400t and opened the trunk, grabbing his laptop. He walked around and opened his driver door, then sat down in the seat with the door wide open. He knew that the terrorist was gonna be some place where it was generally lower income, but definitely not poor. He couldn't be that stupidly easy to find. He knew what the guy looked like and what his nationality, ethnicity, and religion were. He would be pretty recognizable in a city mostly consisting of white people, but he was Jewish, so he could sort of get away with being amongst these White Americans.

Anthony raised an eyebrow as the kid rode past smacking a letter into his lap. He blinked gently and just shrugged. Guess kids are bored around here...can't blame them. He looked down at the piece of paper and picked it up. He opened it gently and read it carefully. At first, he wasn't sure what it meant...then...his brain twitched and he suddenly remembered a girl he said that towards not too long ago.

He placed his laptop gently on the car seat and slowly got out of his car. He closed the door, locked the car, and then casually acted as though he weren't paying attention to his surroundings. He eyed Colet out of his peripheral vision, calculating the distance and time it took to get to her in one move, he waited for the right moment. He moved past her and then suddenly, lunged forward pressing her against the wall of the building. He pressed his arm up against her crotch, his hand near her throat and grinned, "Well, well, if it isn't my sweet little Colet..." He spoke with his much more smooth accent, than his Brooklyn accent. He quickly released her, gently dropping her to her feet. His deep green eyes gazing with almost hunger at her, "It's been a long time, darling." [/size]

Hey there! I'm Kevlar and I'll be helping you through the application process!

First of all, this is a really good character. I like her a lot and she seems like a generally nice person. There are a few things that I'd like to point out though!

So, okay, our word count for histories are supposed to be 400 but I think you just got your paragraphs mixed up because you put her incident of first shifting into human/animal correlation. So if you could find a place to stick that into the actually history, that would be good and you'd be fixing your word count.

Next! This kind of stems off of the first one, but your shifting time frame doesn't really make sense. Shifting starts around puberty (or age 13 or 14), whichever comes first. So she wouldn't be able to be shifting as a five year old. Much less have the competency to save a drowning child if she were the age-equivalent of a dolphin, you know? (:

Also, in relation to the Academy, it's usually used as an alternative instead of high school. I'm not completely sure if the school can accept someone who has already graduated, seeing as we're not that in-between school, you know? Shifter Academy is an alternative for students who realize the abilities and need to be trained in them / escape from the harsh real world.

Otherwise, I think you've got a pretty good character! I did notice that she's really lacking on the solid weaknesses (you say that she can be, which is a reluctant way of admitting a fault) whereas we'd like to have characters who have noticeable weaknesses, if that makes any sense.
