The lobby was huge, very open with hallways veering off from all around it like some kind of rotary that one might see on the road. Teachers were in the halls, clutching towels in their arms as they passed them off to the newly arrived students, mumbling apologies of the weather to each one. Just as she started to feel her heart rate go down regretfully, for she loved the adrenaline rush of the run, a blue towel draped around her soaked, pink tanktop covered shoulders and she jumped slightly in surprise. Wasn't expecting that! "Sorry for the weather.." came the apologetic tone from the woman as Gizzy twisted her head around to find the source. And there was an elderly woman with a kind, tired face. She made a shakey hand gesture towards one of the hallways, and opened her mouth to continue. "They're serving some hot chocolate in the Library just down the end of that hall there, deary, if you'd like to dry off." And then, just as the woman started to turn away to greet the next shivering student, she turned back and attempted a warm smile. "Welcome to Shifter Academy."[/b]
Gisselle was about to open her own lips and form some kind of a grateful thanks towards the lady, but she'd already turned her back to occupy herself with some other student. Blinking once and shrugging her covered shoulders, her body leaned towards the direction down the hall the woman had directed to. Hot chocolate? Didn't sound bad at all! Something warm would certainly hit the spot. Soggy wet shoes slapped the creme tiled floors as she dripped on down the hallway, leaving the lobby behind her and the aforementioned Library somewhere down the end. Above, lights were flickering some as the power of the rain increased it's beating along the school and island, relentless in it's rage. Still, she heard no sign of thunder which was a positive thing. Hopefully the storm was almost over.
Her arms gave a weak little shake as they were still hanging onto the heavy luggage, wanting nothing more than to ditch them somewhere. Her back didn't hurt as much, given that the weight was well distributed along her shoulders and such. That, and the warmth that the towel was providing helped to numb any pain that would have been there. It felt as if they'd just taken them out of the dryer, and man did it feel nice! It wasn't long before she was just at the door of the grand library, eagerly throwing her weight against the door to push against the horizontal push-handle to let herself in. Her jaw nearly hit the floor in awe as she saw the immense size of the library -- all six gorgeous floors climbing up on either side. Blue eyes trailed all the way up as high as she could look, chin tilting back as her neck was momentarily exposed. It was amazing, really.
Suddenly realizing why she was there int he first place, her chin snapped back down as she quickly closed her mouth, staying satisfied with a simple smile on her lips. She spotted a few couches and chairs positioned in the middle of the room, and quickly jogged over towards an abandoned sofa before slapping her two heavy suitcases down by the feet of the couch with a grunt, and shrugging the bag off of her back and letting it hit the floor with a thud. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a line of students in front of a little stand, giving out free hot chocolate to the students. "Might as well.." she murred to herself, giving her bottom lip a quick lick over as she sauntered over to the back of the line, making wet footprints along the carpeted floor until she stood behind another student.
Cold fingertips reached up to grasp the towel that had been draped over her shoulders earlier as she gave a little shiver. It's heat was wearing off, and man she hated being cold.

[/b] she practically shouted, before shuffling into the building, lugging in water with her as she dripped on the floor.
Aw, well shoot! Why'd it have to be pouring rain the day she'd come into the school, huh? Her, along with a couple of other 'newbies' had to sprint to the school, were sopping wet out there in the elements, rain slapping their faces, drenching their clothes, and just making their luggage all the heavier. Gisselle seemed to get the worst of it, though, considering the long length of her hair. It clung to her neck, cheekbones, and dead center into her eyes as her body shuffled along with the other desperate students, the main school building looming up ahead in the nearing distance. She hadn't thought to wear a jacket after getting off of the ferry boat, and she now regretted this as little raindrops cruised down the length of her arms, making her shiver. She didn't like getting wet, to say the least, but it was hard to damper her naturally cheerful attitude. Even during a hurricane like this.
Gisselle was hard to anger, something she'd never quite figured out growing up as a child. Still, though, the rain was certainly annoying but luckily there wasn't any thunder going on or lightning for the moment. The wind was still strong, but thankfully pushing in the direction they all needed to head in anyways. With one heavy camping-looking backpack on her back, and two equally large suitcases flapping around on either side of her hands, the girl had to wait for another student with a free hand to pry the doors open for those who didn't have a hand to spare once they reached the school. Letting everyone else rush in first, she turned towards the gracious stranger who'd stayed behind to hold the door open and flashed him one of her cunning, bright smiles. "Thanks, pal!"
