Overall:
E.T. may seem like the type of guy who will go to college on a basketball scholarship, and then go professional, but there's so much more to him than just that, so much more than the stereotype people always assume he is.
He is rebellious and has a cussing problem, but he's also the most polite guy you'll ever meet. He secretly loves roses (not even Melany knew that). He loves to play the guitar, and loves to win any competition he enters; but he also likes to write and read. E.T.'s a vegetarian (but only because Melany would bother him anytime she saw him eating meat, unless it was some sort of sea food). He has his secrets...but doesn't everyone?
People see E.T. as just some big jock guy. Mainly because he hates school and only goes for the sports he plays. E.T. has a jerk façade, which makes him fit even more into the "jock" label. He's extremely competitive, which also supports the label that is often put on him. Maybe they're right, maybe he is only some big jock. And he expects all that, that's why he cusses, why he's rebellious. It's all part of this great big façade he's created for himself, he's made himself seem mean, concerned himself completely with seeming all tough.
But underneath all that...there's a better guy. The guy who would do anything for the adoptive sister he has a crush on, the guy who loves helping the environment, the guy who secretly loves reading and writing poetry. The guy who grows and cares for his own rose garden. Doesn't that sound better?
Thought so.
He's not all like that though. With E.T. comes his dislike of really strict authority, his dislike of not knowing important things. He hates his parents and can't stand having to depend on them for money. He wants to get a job as soon as possible, so that way he won't have to ask them for money.
E.T. is afraid of spiders, losing Melany, hurting someone, losing his temper, and losing a game. All of these things anyone could be afraid of. But they're what E.T. is afraid of, the "big jock". Do they seem so normal now?
What most people don't know about E.T. is that he's actually extremely smart. He's also a really good writer, but he would never tell anybody that... And then there's the stuff that everybody can see, like that he loves to have fun, likes to drive, and that he has a sort of slight temper (his temper isn't that bad though).
He's quiet when he's sorting things out, will bury himself in sports when things get tough, and hides a lot of his feelings. But don't let that get to you, he's also very protective. He can't stand liars or hypocrites, and thinks drinking excessively is stupid. Melany got him hooked on “Finding Nemo,” and he loves music... really, he's a pretty average teenager...sort of.
E.T. is the guy that seems like a total jerk (with his lack of respect for certain authority, his façade, and his temper)...until you get to know him. Then you'll think he is one of the most thoughtful, polite, sweet, amazing guy you've ever met. Except he's not normally like that. You have to earn being treated like that, otherwise he'll just maintain his façade, and then you'll think he's a jerk until you get rid of his outer shell.

Celebrity Play By: Robbie Amell
Appearance: [400 words minimum]
It's obvious that E.T. is tan, that much anybody can tell. He spends most of his time outside, so he's tan pretty much year round. His tan skin is usually blemish free, though sometimes his face can get oily. His skin isn't tan enough to be considered Indian or Mexican, but he isn't white enough to be considered pale. It's a genetic tan, so even if he wasn't outside all the time, he would still be some-what tan.
His hair is pretty short, though it's long enough that he can spike it (which he usually does). It's a dark, chocolaty brown. His hair is more straight than anything else, and if it was longer it would hang around his face.
E.T.'s eyes are the first thing people usually notice about him. It's almost as if someone stuck two emeralds in his eyes. They gleam when he's winning, if he's happy, or if he's flirting. When they gleam it's like to polished emeralds are sitting where his eyes used to be. But they get darker when he's upset or if he's getting mad. When they darken his eyes are more of a forest green color. Though, no matter how he's feeling his eyes are still the most beautiful part of him.
When you first see him you would say that E.T.'s about average build. But when you look closer you'll notice that he has more muscle than the average person. It's not lean muscle, but he doesn't look like a body builder either. Most of his weight, around one hundred and fifty pounds, is muscle.
He's stands at approximately six feet and two inches tall, towering over most people his age, but he's definitely not the tallest. When he would stand next to Melany, though, he looked like a giant. Most of his height is taken up by his long legs, even though he wishes he was a bit taller (so he could be better at basket ball).
E.T. isn't one to care much about style, though he does take pride in his appearance. He usually wears jeans and a nice t-shirt, or muscle shirt with it. He usually wears a hoodie or a jacket with whatever else he's wearing (unless it's too hot). He's better dressed than most, all of his clothes fit him well, and has never worn his pants around his knees (as in he's never "sagged"). E.T. doesn't like to wear dress shirts, though sometimes he has to because of the sports he plays. His shoe supply consists of almost all tennis shoes, (though he does own a few dress shoes) and if he's not wearing either of those then he's bare foot.
After you've noticed his eyes, clothes, hair, and muscle...your eyes will see his bright, charming smile. It will dazzle and amaze you with how white and perfect his teeth are. When he smiles at you it's as if the sun was shining just for you.
After you've looked at his smile and the rest of him, your eyes will go back to looking at his eyes. His shining, deep, emerald eyes.
...history
Parents: Stacey Carol Matthews(currently 45 years old) and Jonathan Kevin Matthews (Currently 44 years old)
Siblings: N/A
(Adoptive) Sibling: Melany Elizabeth Smith (currently 15 years old and at Shifter Academy)
[400 words minimum]
Jonathan Matthews struck it rich when he invested in a European radish company, (weird as it sounds) he became pretty rich, but he didn't make it to millionaire.
Stacey was a gold digger of sorts, but she was able to make money on her own. She was pretty well-off with the money she got from her childhood modeling days, and when she became a "dentist for the stars" she got even more money.
They met when Stacey was 28 years old and Jonathan was 27 years old. It wasn't exactly love at first sight, but they definitely hit it off. Stacey had heard about Jonathan from some of her friends, and so she knew how much he had. Jonathan had heard about Stacey from some of his celebrity friends who had had their teeth done by her.
They dated for about five months before Jonathan proposed, and (of course) gold-digger Stacey said yes. They were married a month after the proposal (which was only 6 months after they actually met). And they gave birth to a bouncing baby boy (E.T.) not long after that.
Stacey and Jonathan were absolutely thrilled that they had a baby. They paid attention to him and gave him anything he wanted; all in all, Elizer Thomas Matthews was a very spoiled baby.
Since they were so happy with one child, Jonathan wanted another (and Stacey would do anything for him as long as she kept getting money). They tried and tried, but Stacey couldn't get pregnant again. So they looked up adoption agencies, and tried to find the perfect child.
That's when they found Melany and Mollie. They were thrilled they had found two adorable baby girls, and wanted to keep them both. But then Mollie cut up a wedding dress that had been passed down in Stacey's family. Stacey was so mad at the little girl that she immediately sent her back to the orphanage, but kept Melany.
Jonathan and Stacey agreed to never tell Elizer (E.T.) or Melany that she had been adopted. They wanted to pretend that she was their little girl, and so they did.
They treated her the same way they treated Elizer, they spoiled her the best they could. Giving her anything she wanted. And Elizer was glad that they treated them both the same.
When Elizer turned ten he developed a love for roses, he thought it was weird...him being a guy and liking roses. So, he didn't tell anyone (not even Melany). He had a secret rose garden by the basketball court they had in their backyard. No one but him hardly went to the court anyway, so he knew they were safe. He had some in pots and some were planted on the ground. He loved his roses and took extremely good care of them. He didn't expect to love the roses, he just did. It was on a school field trip to a huge local garden, and he saw them. It was like his love at first sight, and one of the worker's saw that, and gave him a packet of seeds. He's loved them ever since,
Around the time Elizer turned twelve (Melany was eleven) Stacey and Jonathan began to act differently, they began to pressure their kids and tell them that they had to succeed in everything they did. Elizer and Melany didn't know what to do, so they just agreed.
They started making MORE MONEY and then they started to care more about how much they were making than their children, but they wanted their kids to make money too, so they pressured them to do well. Stacey even cheated on Jonathan, unknown to him, E.T., and Melany.
With his parents pressuring him, Elizer tried out for every sport team he could (and he threw himself more and more into his roses, because inside he felt like his parents didn't love him, so he thought he should love something to make up for them). And he made every sport team he tried out for. He was great at it. Swimming, baseball, football, basketball, etc. He was always his team's best player. He could beat Melany at every sport...except swimming and surfing.
She was always better at him than that, and that bothered him. Since he was better than everyone else he wasn't used to losing (especially to his little sister) he never mentioned it to her though.
In the same year his parents started pressuring them they watched the movie "E.T.", which was when Melany nicknamed him E.T. . He would only let her call him that, if anyone else did he would get extremely mad at them.
Also that year, not that long after they watched "E.T.", Melany became a vegetarian, and she kept telling Elizer he was eating "baby animals" or "poor defenseless animals" and one day he was tired of her bothering him and so he gave in and stopped eating meat.
Around when Elizer turned thirteen he began to develop a crush on Melany. And he knew that he wasn't supposed to like his sister like that. So he didn't tell anyone, it freaked him out, a lot, so he ignored her for about a month or so, but he couldn't stand not talking to her, so he learned to cover his feelings, even though he was still scared of the feeling . He still played with Melany and treated her basically the same way he always had after the month where he ignored her, the only difference was that he was nicer to her and he would let her win when they played basketball sometimes.
Around the time when he started to like Melany his parents began to ignore them. He would do well in school, and in sports, but his parents couldn't care less. Same with when Melany won a surfing competition, or got all A's, their parents acted like that wasn't good enough. They even hired a nanny, claiming they were "too busy" to take care of their own children. He was desperate for them to notice him, so he became better at anything and everything, but that was also when he started disliking authority. He justified himself, why should he like authority? That's what his parents were, and they weren't worth liking, and he started breaking things at home and school, hoping for them to notice him, even when he convinced himself he didn't care. And he didn't usually, he, the nanny (Marissa), and Melany, they became their own little family, so he didn't need them anymore.
Even though he liked Melany, he still dated other girls. He would get a new girlfriend about every other week and he was hardly ever single. Every single one of his girlfriends couldn't stand Melany (because she was so weird), and kept asking him why he even talked to her at school.
He kept dating, and would put up with the girls being rude to Melany. He didn't tell them to stop, unless they went too far.
After two years (Elizer would be about fifteen then) of hearing his girlfriends being rude to Melany, both behind her back and to her face, he stopped dating for a while. Girls would ask him out, and he would just say no. He didn't like people being rude or hurting Melany, and he didn't want to put up with it anymore.
With his parents ignoring him and his feelings getting all jumbled up, he began to get mad easily. He would punch walls and throw things at his parents. He even yelled at a girl once when she asked him out for the fifth time that month. The only person he didn't yell at was Melany. For some reason, he never got mad at her.
He learned to control when he would get angry and to what extent, and now he only has a slight temper.
A week before Melany left, Elizer and Marissa (their nanny) were helping critiquing her before her big surfing competition, which was the next day. Elizer thought she was doing amazing, and then he saw that she was losing her balance, which was extremely unlike Melany. And then she was gone. Elizer wanted to jump in and go save her, but Marissa wouldn't let him.
She told him to go get some towels, and he reluctantly did so. When he got back both Marissa and Melany were swimming toward the shore. Marissa told him to throw them their towels, and he did. He didn't understand why he had to throw their towels to them until they got out and he noticed that they didn't have anything on, except the towels. Elizer didn't mention it, but gave Marissa and Melany a weird look before he drove them home.
That night his parents had a talk with them. It was the first time they had actually spoken to their kids in weeks. They said that Melany was adopted and she would be leaving to go to a special school by Hawaii. They said she had a week to leave so she could say goodbye to her friends. When Melany asked if she could compete tomorrow, they said no.
Elizer didn't think it was fair to not let her compete, she had been looking forward to that competition for months. But he didn't say anything. Elizer could tell that Melany was mad at them for not letting her compete, but she didn't object either.
Elizer was confused, he didn't know what he felt toward Melany anymore. He had been hiding his feelings for her since he was thirteen, and he hadn't not felt that way toward her since. And he had always hid it since they were siblings, but now he knew they really weren't. And he felt extremely confused. He hardly talked to Melany that last week. He didn't even say goodbye. The only thing he did was the night before she left he saw her swimming in their pool.
He quickly slipped on his swim trunks and jumped in to join her. They didn't say anything. They just raced each other and splashed and just had fun. He made Melany laugh and soon they were both having giggle fits. It was just like how it used to be forever ago.
That was how he said goodbye to Melany, without actually saying it. That night Melany snuck into his room and left a note. He found it that morning. It said:
E.T.,
Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye in person, but I thought it'd be easier to just write it out. I know I'll miss you, and I promise to think of you everyday. You're the only brother, or friend, I've ever known. I hope you'll miss me, but I'm sure you'll be fine. And remember not to eat any poor little baby animals while I'm gone .I really do- Oh, sorry Marissa says it's time to go.
Goodbye E.T.
All My Love,
Melany
Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye in person, but I thought it'd be easier to just write it out. I know I'll miss you, and I promise to think of you everyday. You're the only brother, or friend, I've ever known. I hope you'll miss me, but I'm sure you'll be fine. And remember not to eat any poor little baby animals while I'm gone .
Goodbye E.T.
All My Love,
Melany
He read that note over and over and got mad at himself for not saying goodbye to her. He had wanted to go to the airport, but he thought that it would be weird since he had hardly talked to her that week.
The day after Melany left Elizer wanted to do something new, he didn't want to just be the same old Elizer. And so he started guitar lessons. He was pretty good from the start, but he threw himself into lessons, determined to be amazing.
He continued growing his roses, planting more than he ever had. Elizer did everything he had done before, just ten times more than he ever had. He missed Melany, so he wrote constantly, trying to just get her out of his head. He dated more girls, but none of those relationships lasted.
One day, he was surfing the internet, trying to look up better ways to take care of his roses, and he came across this boarding school in Hawaii, it had amazing basketball and writing programs, and reminded him of a college. He enrolled himself, and bought a plane ticket for later, and he planned to give Melany the surfboard if he ever saw her. He was buying his time, waiting for the time when he could leave for the airport.
E.T. was desperate to get out of the house one day, impatient for the plane ride the next week, so he joined his friends going to the mall. They were all getting presents for their girlfriends, and then he saw the perfect present for Melany, a surfboard keychain with her name on it. He told his friends to wait up, and went in the store, grabbed it, looked around casually, then left.
He was almost to his friends before he got caught by the mall cop. He stopped him, then Elizer punched him in the face, having taken an extreme dislike to strict authority. It wasn't like he didn't have the money though, he just didn't want to use it. He was put in mall jail, and when he parents found out, they sent Marissa down with a hefty amount of money in check form to “bail” him out, and it never went on his record.
Later that night, he told them about the boarding school, the day before he was supposed to leave. They agreed to let him go, as long as Marissa went with him, and they were tired of "taking care of him." They bought Marissa's ticket for her, and she told E.T. that once they got to Hawaii, she would quit working for them, and go teach at Melany's school. He agreed, knowing that he would be able to give Mel her surfboard that she forgot.
He knew he would.

E.T. had just arrived at the airport with Marissa, dragging his luggage behind him. Marissa had offered to help him, but he had said no, she didn't even work for his parents anymore, was no longer his nanny. She was just...well, she was more of a mom than anything else. He had given her a slight smile at the offer though.
The airport was busy, especially the ticket line for their plane. He was itching to get to the front, itching to get his boarding pass so he could get to Hawaii faster, to get to the boarding school faster. That way he'd get to see Melany...a slight smile graced his face.
Why was the line taking so fucking long? He tapped his foot, impatient, feeling the strap of his guitar cut into his neck. He felt like he had been waiting forever, and it showed on his face.
They finally reached the beginning of the line, and he motioned with his head for Marissa to go before him. Ladies first, after all. If anything, E.T. was polite.
She got her ticket, then moved to the side while he got his.
“Elizer Thomas Matthews to Honolulu, Hawaii. Flight number 13568,” he told the person working at the desk, a smile plastered onto his face, still cussing out the long wait in his mind. Slowly, way too slowly, the person put the stickers onto his luggage, put them on the conveyor belt, gave him his boarding pass.
“Thanks,” he mumbled as he saw Melany's surfboard go down with all the luggage, where ever it all went. He had fought to try to keep it, but no such luck. All he had now was his backpack and guitar.
He and Marissa walked off to their gate, going through security. E.T. stiffened when he saw that, reminded of his incident at the mall. He tried to stop his fists from clenching, but he let them, too much effort to stop the impulsive movement. He didn't have anything illegal, but the authority they held freaked him out, that and the metal detectors. They went through without a hitch though, and E.T. sighed in relief once they reached the waiting area. It was full, so they had to stand, and E.T. cursed under his breath, ignoring the angry look from Marissa when she heard him.
“Boarding for flight number 13568 will begin now,” the flight attendant said, relieving E.T.'s impatience a little. “Rows one through ten may being boarding.”
E.T. smiled as he looked at his and Marissa's tickets. He hated that his parents had bought his ticket, but it got him on the plane faster, thanks to their frequent flier miles, or whatever they were called. He didn't care about them, all he cared about was Melany right now, he didn't even fight the flight attendants when they reached for his boarding pass.
Melany, Melany, Melany! She was all he thought about, even when he was playing guitar, or tending his roses.
His roses. Damn. He'd forgotten to get someone to take care of them. He sighed, angry at himself, but knew that no one would take care of them like he would. It was too late now. After all, he couldn't turn around even if he wanted to.
Mel! he thought, a grin upon his face as he buckled up for take off, not even remembering getting on the plane.
Before he knew it, they were up in the air, and when he looked over at Marissa, she was asleep, and he closed his eyes, too, hoping to get some rest before they touched down in Hawaii.
