SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE When he had shifted getting locked in a room and being unable to leave had not even occurred to him. Granted he could have just shifted back in to human form and just opened the door. But that would require him being naked, in a public place no less, which was not only unacceptable by society but there was no way in the world that he was going to do that. Even if he ended up stuck in this room until the next bloody day there was no chance that he was shifting back to human form. Not on this side of death was that going to happen regardless of the circumstances, and how uncomfortable things got, now if only the animal part of his brain would pipe down so he could think about something other than scavenging around for some food and hiding.
Small white paws were pressed up against the door, the back ones keeping him balanced for the most part, in a distinctly rabbitish move his body stretched out along the wood. Although unless he magically found himself in a kiddie play house such maneuvering was absolutely hopeless. At only about two feet in length there was no way he could reach the door knob not even if he tried to jump. With a disgusted huff the ball of white fur dropped back down to four paws choosing to crouch beside the door for a few moments. Black tipped ears rested back along his spine not nearly as long, or floppy for that matter, as a regular rabbits. His blindingly bright white hue paired with shortened ears, to those who bothered to study that sort of thing, meant he was an Arctic style hare.
Another huff and he pressed his head against the door, nose twitching as his mind attempted to cycle through the various scents, small lungs aching in his chest. Even in this form he still felt less than healthy; although he imagined he was the only one who could hear the tiny wheezes escaping him. The thick and heavy fur that was meant to protect him from harsh winters felt nearly constricting and way to warm to be comfortable. Not to mention his sense of smell was skewed beyond belief because of the whole being sick thing. It was uncomfortable and painful but not too terribly different from how he felt in his human form. In fact, aside from the small detail it would have been a bit more comfortable for him to be in his dorm, if anything at all he was a good deal more active as a rabbit.
Small teeth pressed against the door, nipping at the lowest edge, the animal part of his brain supplying that the door might be fun to chew on. The small body all but flew away from the door the human half of his brain recoiling at the taste of the paint. Mentally reminding himself that he had to keep the more animalistic part of his brain under tighter control so he wouldn't be gnawing on things just for the sake of it. Even if he was hungry.
With another small huff Sieffre turned away from the door since it was perfectly obvious that he was not going to be getting out any time in the near future. Short of chewing his way though, which was not happening at all, or some how sneaking out while someone came in or out of the room. But given the fact he happened to be really quite obvious, being as white as he was with only small speckles of back where his human tattoos were, the chances were that sneaking out was something along the lines if Mission Impossible. Not that he could foresee any dodging lasers or bullets in rabbit form should things happen to take that twist.
As he moved along the one wall of the room he absently wondered just how large it was. Or at the very least it had never seemed so insanely large while he was a human. He missed his human form for traveling, now, missed the long strides that just ate up distance rather than these tiny, but quick, steps that he was currently stuck with. A shallow breath before he paused, or more correctly just froze, was that...?
He turned his head following the scent of something edible, he could feel his stomach growl at the thought of someone having actually left something behind, hopefully it was with in his reach. Otherwise... Well he'd go find a corner to sulk in for a while. And probably be absolutely ravenous by the time he managed to get out. A few more hoping steps and the world around him got abruptly darker but the scent of food was closer. It took his human mind a few moments to realize he'd gone under the table and the scent he was following was probably on top of the table rather than under it. A few more paces and he was at the edge of the table once again he stretched out small paws placed on the edge of the table, his weight not enough to push it, stretching his head forward and snatching a discarded potato chip and dropping in beside the table. Chewing on the somewhat stale chip quietly he tried to plot a way to get out from the room.
His ears shot up at the sound of the door opening and distant slow voices. For a moment he was still, crouched beside the table, before his animal instincts kicked in. True to his animal he bolted, not towards the door like his human mind would have wanted, but away. He squeezed his body under a low hanging chair, tiny heart just pounding, as he listened to the heavy steps of a human move around the room. Trying his best not to just bolt again as the steps came closer to him. Slowly Sieffre moved forward creeping out from under the chair that had been his refuge to the table beside it. The animal part of his brain convinced that any humans wouldn't spot the white ball of fur crouched under a table. "Shit!"
Tony jumped up suddenly in a startled motion, banging his head from under the kitchen cabinet that he was rummaging around in for various odds and ends. He retracted quickly, his free hand instantly fleeing to the back of his sore head as he heard the door to the dark room start to rattle. Someone was coming. Coming inside, that is. Seeing through the dark was an easy task for him, even in his human form, and he silently thanked himself for leaving the lights off in the kitchen when he'd entered. Well, more like broke in than entered, but, either way he was inside. The cafeteria closed at the same time every night -- but that didn't stop the sneak from getting inside and cooking to his delights. What stopped him from eating during the day, like the rest of the students?
He was asleep; being a nocturnal animal tended to mess with his sleeping schedule, and so by the time he woke up the cafe was already being locked up for the night. Anthony sure wasn't going to let himself starve. Normal nights he would just go over to the restaurant or the mall and pick something up, but with this hurricane... it limited mobility to say the least. Dropping to the floor silently as he crouched, his other not-free hand clutched the duffel-back pack that he'd brought with him tightly as he slowed his breathing. His frame was hidden behind the counter top, and out of sight for now. Anthony reached his other hand over and quickly zipped the bag full of the food he was 'borrowing' to bring back to his dorm and cook up on his burner just before the door opened and the light of the hallway beamed in.
Why didn't I use Zander's key?! he thought bitterly to himself as the shifter boy sucked in air through his teeth, holding his breath. Luckily he'd shut the window behind him after he snuck into the room just the hour before, so there'd be no evidence of his entrance. But... now he had a new problem to face. How the -hell- was he going to get out? The sound of footprints thunked along the ceramic tile, and Tony hastily tried to match his own tender footsteps with the stranger's whenever they walked so as to hide any sound of his while he creeped to the other side of the counter. The foot steps paused, then, and Tony did the same as he froze. Just up ahead was the door to the exit, unguarded. The boy extended his torso up some to peek at the other on the opposite end of the counter that had their back to the door, standing confused in the dark room.
Seizing this as his chance, Tony hurried across the floor as fluently and quickly as he could, still crouched against the floor until he made it to the hallway. The bright light stung his eyes, but didn't keep him from throwing himself around the corner of the doorway and bolting down the hall. Realizing he'd been holding his breath that whole time, the boy let out a warm breath of nervous air as his feet flew under him, the contents of his bag bouncing around and adding weight to the black backpack. "Too.. close.." he lightly panted once he'd caught his breath, not checking once to see if he was being followed or not. Body jerked and dived in and out of halls and corridors, just in case someone had seen him creep out from the kitchen.
Just up ahead, the doors to the lounge loomed in the ever nearing distance, and the wildly blue-eyed shifter made way for this. Figuring it'd make a nice hide out until he was positive the coast was clear. I mean, who cares if they're missing a few food ingredients? It's not like I'm robbing a bank.. the inner voice spoke up at him, and the internal red panda chittered in agreement in his chest, only fueling his adrenaline. Hide, hide! it urged him, growing ever more excited as his palm finally slammed down on the door handle to the 'chill zone', as he liked to call it, and jerked it back to open up the heavy wooden door. With a.. dark paint finish, it seemed. Eagerly, and swiftly, his body curled past the door once it was open just barely enough to squeeze his lithe body through. And the bag.
Once safely inside, just as quickly as he'd arrived, weight slammed backwards against the door as his back smacked the cold wood, forcing the door to shut rather loudly. Heart pounding from adrenaline and the rush of almost getting caught, his freshly dyed high-lighted brown hair thunked up against the wood as his neck was exposed, chest heaving as lungs pumped desperately to supply the amount of oxygen his body was demanding. Heads turned his way from around the room, students looking up from their little cliques or the computer desks along the wall. Only for a moment, though, just to see what all the commotion was about. Sighing deeply once, he peeled his head back off of the door as he gave a sheepish grin to a few of the faces he recognized, and to the ones he didn't.
They stared a moment, then went back to their socializing or other odds and ends, Tony's little explorations and missions no stranger to these school grounds. Just as his icy blue eyes fell back to leveling out, something white caught his attention. Something blurry. Still hyped up on adrenaline like a crack head on drugs, his head instinctively swiveled to track to the motion as he spotted the white motion dart across the floor. He blinked once, reaching the hand that wasn't currently clutching his black bag for dear life to pinch at his closed eye lids, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. Had he just seen..? Surely not. Opening his eyes again and brushing his bangs from his face, the blur was gone. No longer in his line of vision.
Figuring he must've been more hyped on the adrenaline than he thought, Tony started to make his way across the room as he took a step forward. Freezing again, he saw it once more. This time, in a slower motion. The white was easy to spot against the colorings of the floor, and now that it wasn't running in a haphazard fashion, he could see that it was an animal. A rabbit or some other kind of lapine from the structure, and it instantly caught his attention. It was creeping towards some nearby table, a look of fear in it's eyes -- even he could see that from his distance. Shrugging one shoulder strap over his left shoulder, Tony slowly moved forward in light steps; very well familiar with the sensitivity of hearing for rabbits. Or whatever it was. No sense in him sounding like a rampaging elephant and scaring it off again, right?
Right.
He ran a hand quickly through his hair once as he finally made it to the table, his arm dropped the bag full of 'borrowed' food onto the low chair that he'd just watched the white fuzz ball crawl it's self away from before dropping to his knees slowly. Cautiously. One hand planted against the ground to secure his light weight as he bent over a little more, peering under the table at the white creature. "Here there, little guy." Soft, almost velvety tone curled out hardly above a whisper to the other, trying to remember to remain quiet for the sake of it's hearing. "..Or girl," Tony quickly corrected himself, truly unsure of the gender. He bit his soft pierced lip then, suddenly unsure of what he was doing.
This was a rabbit. That clearly couldn't talk back. Just what the hell was he doing anyhow? This could be a student, or even someone's pet. He blinked once, "I'm not going to hurt you," well, better be safe than sorry incase it -was- a person, right? Curiosity taking the better half of him, his arm reached out towards the animal that wasn't too far from his current crouching position, trying to grab it from it's side furthest from him and scoot it closer to himself. If successful, he'd then quickly scoop the rabbit up in his hoodied arm and twist to sit cross legged beside his bag that was slightly elevated by the chair. If he missed, though, or the creature got away, well.. he'd simply have to think of another approach now wouldn't he?

SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE The worst part of shifting in to a hare was the fact that everything became terrifying. The smallest movements from other things sent his heart racing and sounds were near deafening. It was the general reason that he tried to shift while alone, if only to get it out of his system, made life less frightening that way. Crouched under that table the animal half of his brain was convinced that they would be safe there. With his ears pressed back against his neck, and his body, shivering at every small movement that happened with in his line of sight. Drawing in quick shallow breaths, the sort that made his lungs ache as well as his ribs, and shaking he could only wonder how long it would take the room to empty so he could once again try to escape from it and return to the safety of his room and his human form. Until then he would only be able to shiver and shake while humans thundered around above his head making far too much noise for it to be entirely comfortable for him.
Blinking slowly Sieffre finally caught movement coming towards him. Another giant of a human being coming slowly and oddly quietly towards him. He shuffled back as the person came closer twisting his body so he could get as much of himself against the wall and as far away from the edge of the table as he could get with out melding with the wall. His small heart pounding in his chest as he watched that pair of shoes come closer and closer to him. He remained as still as possible as the face of who ever the person was, the human half tried to supply a name, disappeared behind the top edge of the table. So instead he watched the shoes all but fly towards him half wishing that he could indeed just become part of the wall and get it over with. Death would have been better than the near total terror that was pounding through his small body.
An ear pulled away from his body at the sound of something falling, a deep thudding sound, swiveling as his mind struggled to figure out what it was and what in the world was happening. A small bit of curiosity at what had made the sound and what it meant had him leaning away from the wall trying to see. Right up until someone dropped down in front of the table his mind belatedly reminding him that it was probably the owner of the shoes that had been soaring towards him. His ears pressed back against his body once more as yet again he found himself cowering against the wall. Watching the person watch him for a moment as distant words rumbled.
"Here there, little guy... Or girl."
The human half of his mind just sighed at that. Of course he would get a gender ambiguous shift. Which required turning him on to his back and a good deal of prodding in an uncomfortable spot to see what popped out. And the only reason he even knew that was from it happening to him during his first rather traumatic shift. Now that he was thinking about it he just had to really hope that Tony wasn't all that interested in his gender. The thought gave him a pause now that his human mind supplied a name he could only really hope that it did not happen. Having a complete stranger poke at his reproductive organs was traumatizing having someone whom he considered a friend even think about the same thing was beyond that.
He darted forward when the hand reached for him right in to the table leg. Effectively ending his flight before he had even gotten started and stunning him a bit as well. He kicked out weakly only pushing himself against the hand that had hooked around his far side and was pulling him closer. Soon enough he found himself cuddled in Tony's arms rather securely at that. Another kick barely got him any where at all really. Which meant that he was rather effectively caught, a fact that had his hare part of his mind freaking out, and really there was nothing he could really do about it. The human half of his mind took over, at least, as he slowly started to relax and try to figure out a way to get away so he could shift back in to human form and pretend the whole day hadn't happened. Except for the fact his mind was an utter blank and what it was he could do to try and get away, ignoring the small voice that was telling him he was hungry, so the whole getting away plot seemed foiled before he even had a chance to work on it.
He buried his head against Tony's elbow at a too loud sound from the other side of the room. Pressing closer to the human male rather than trying to get away now. Now that his rabbit mind had calmed down some it left him some what content to be held. Although not exactly comfortable since Tony had no idea it was him and probably would never think that Sieffre happened to be the rabbit that he'd caught. Pressing closer he heaved a small sigh as his stomach rumbled yet again. Getting away and hunger were about the only two things ever on his mind when he was in his animal form. Sieffre had sunk his teeth in to the hoodie before his human mind caught up. And was already chewing sedately on the fabric just moments later. With a mental sigh he just went with his rabbit instincts and chewing holes in his friends clothing. Goodness knew that nothing quite said friendship like chewing on their clothing merely because hunger was a factor.
