Declan's thoughts where blank as he roamed through the woods. It was close to midnight. The moon was high and bright in the sky. The hurricane had blew most of the lights out. I mean, don't most natural disasters cause damage? He was wearing tattered jeans and a tattered white tee shirt. His bright red eyes where visable for a long distence. He doubted anybody was here. He had sharp senses and he hadn't seen anybody follow him out here. The foliage was very dense around this area. He loved it. The quiet, the aloneness.
He saw a mouse, and his inner snake took over. He began to shift. Shifting into a snake was different than any other animal shift, he presumed. Snakes had no arms or legs. Cracking bones and his head pounded with pain, as usual. His teeth began to elongate, and his skull shift shape. The pain in his skull made him faint. He had only shifted three other times, and was not used to it yet. After he woke up, his senses where sharpened. He could only see in funny colors. He knew that snakes saw like that, they could sense heat. He slithered out from his jeans and his tee shirt. The mouse was long gone. Things like that set him off to shift.
What should I do now? Theres nobody to play a joke on. Most burmease pythons liked water, and Declan did, but he liked the woods too. He was an albino burmease python. Just like in his human form, he was practically albino. Anybody who saw him here would know he was out of place. His forked toung flicked, sensing for anything to eat. If a snakes stomach could growl, it would be growling right now. He loved the veiw he had as a snake. Low to the ground. His eyes where glowing red. He found a tree with a low branch, and climbed up. He slithered his way up the tree, toung flicking. He was a large, heavy snake, and it took a lot of muscle to pull himself up the tree. He pulled himself up just far enough to be out of site, unless he saw something - or someone- he would "pounce". " Be careful, brother. You never know who might mistake you for something dangerous and chop your head off." Fang said. Declan ignored his brother. The voices always told him what to do. They told him to come out here, and the voices always had a reason for everything. They where smart voices. Declan sprawed his long body out on a branch and waited.
