Jordan Cole - - - - - - - - - - Her feet padded softly against the sand making no noise at all as she walked over to a clear spot unoccupied by other beach goers. She put her bag down, and shooed off her flip-flops. The sand felt cool beneath her, and she buried her toes in it slightly as she stood there admiring the water. The day was positively beautiful. It was a Saturday, so obviously there was no school to worry about. Her work was done for Monday, so all that was left was just getting a chance to relax. Sure she had thought about having her friends come down to the beach with her, no undoubtedly they would, but she figured a little alone time o relax would be good for her.
The wind blew her hair into her face, and she pulled some of it back behind her ear. Of course it did little good, as the wind no sooner got a hold of it and pushed it gently back into her face. She could faintly hear others messing around with their friends, with some music playing around them. People like that were just slightly annoying, she didn't mind they wanted to have fun, but what if others weren't fond of the music they were playing? People like that were just annoying and unthoughtful. She took the hair-tie from her wrist and pulled her hair into a high ponytail.
For a bit of time she took a jog down the beach, as far as possible, which was quite a distance for normal people. She attempted to make sure she didn't run too fast, otherwise she'd be done in no real time at all. That's what happens when your gene pool is not exactly normal. Eventually after a chunk of time she made her way back over towards her stuff some new people had arrived, while others had managed to leave. She looked over towards the water and thought about going for a swim.
It had to be quite cold this time, after all it was slowly starting to get later. This was the best time to be at the beach, because not too many people were around to see you, and you could be at peace with just the sound of the ocean, not some screaming kids who could annoy the crap out of you more then you'd ever deem possible. And thinking about that, she'd realized that the music had stopped. Those kids blaring the music must have left. Her fingers idly played with her blue dress that covered her deep purple bikini. She walked over to where the sand met the waves, and smiled as she got some mist on her feet. It didn't seem too cold, so it would just be refreshing.

He wanders around along the beach. Why was he here? He didn't even know if he had a good idea of why he was here. To tell the truth, he had gotten lost while walking around. He got lost a lot on this new island. He'd learn it's paths, sooner or later. For now though, he was stuck being lost. He growls as a group of sunbathers pass too closely by him. He smiles watching them hurry past him in fear. "Good riddance" he thinks. He looks around the beach, seeing all the happy care free people. He envied them a bit, being so blissful. On the other and though, they disgusted him. Acting so carefree, as if there was nothing else to do. As if they were so cool for hanging out at the beach.
He grumbled as he walks along, kicking up sand as he goes. Lousy people and thier ignorance. He sees a girl walking down the beach. He stops for a moment, watching her openly leave her things on the beach as she went for a walk. This didn't sit well with him. He had half a mind to ask her why the hell she trusted these people. He had the other half of his mind set on stealing from her while she was gone, just to teach her a lesson. He watches her a moment long, catching her scent on the wind. "Interesting...she's like me. Well...not quite, but a shifter" he thinks. He grins, with half a mind to follow her now. He decides against it as he keeps his way down the beach.
He lays down in an empty spot, planning on taking a little nap to kill some time. He closes his eyes, trying to drift off, when he hears the music coming from around him. He shifts his position, trying to ignore it. He soon realizes that he can't. He gets up, seeking out the source of the noise. He finds a group of kids parked around a boom-box, with music up too loud. "turn it off." he tells them straight out. They look at him and just laugh. He tells them once more, not planning on wasting much time with them. They laugh again and blow him off. He reaches down between them and picks up the box. He whips it down into thier cooler, watching it shatter.
The group jumps up, all yelling at him. He grabs the guy in front of him by the throat. "Do you really want to start this?" he asks before throwing the boy to the ground. He growls at the rest, watching them take off. He storms around the beach, scaring and driving away anyone who's playing audible music. He grins, standing back, watching them flee from the beach. Ahh, now this was bliss. Silence tended to lead to boredom, but he was better off without their crappy music assaulting his ears.
He lays down, watching the sun hit the water. He found the waves somewhat relaxing, even though he still feared drowning. He was committed to not let anything get in his way, including water. He lounges for a while longer when he catches a familiar but new scent on the wind. He sits up, catching the sight of someone in the distance walking his way. He scrambles up and hikes off a ways, sneaking around the person. He sees it's the shifting girl who'd left her stuff unattended. He decides to follow her for lack of anything better to do.
He watches as she stands in front of the water, watching the waves. He slowly sneak up behind her. He stands a ways away from her, not wanting to be seen. He looks at her a moment longer before speaking. "Enjoying the beach?" he asks her. He had nothing better to say really. Most of his interactions with people led him to fight with and or trample them. He wasn't incapable of being nice or anything, most people just didn't warrant it. He decided to just kinda...relax this time. He watches her quietly after he speaks.

Jordan Cole - - - - - - - - - - Her feet pulled her along the beach at a steady pace to a beat in her head. The sun, or what was left of it warmed her light colored skin, and her brown hair whipped around her in the wind. It was a real release to just let everything go and run. Everyone had something that made them feel better, some people read, some people hide, others dance, well Jordy ran. Getting away from things, but in no sense really running from her problems. It was a way to clear her head, or even just relax her from the stress most teenagers felt daily, well the ones who actually apply themselves.
It was just nice today though, nothing was necessarily wrong or overbearing, she just felt like getting outside to another scene. She thought about many things, from how cool the wind felt against her skin, to how fun it would be to go surfing sometime soon, or even go on a vacation to the states, even though that would most certainly be a bad idea. Her mind wandered as her feet kept her on a steady course down the beach. There was nothing more carefree at the moment then her, as the world almost drifted away. She caught a scent on her way back wrinkled her nose a little. Another shifter? Well it's absolutely not uncommon now was it? Of course not. She shrugged it off, it made no difference to her at all. After all who this was in no way a private beach, and she wasn't the only person to like sand. She looked around curiously at who was around, though who ever she'd caught wind of seemed to be out of view. Her eyes glanced up to the sky, but then focused back onto her stuff.
Standing in front of the water she'd realized she hadn't taken off her dress. She was about to turn around when she heard someone speak. It was a bit out of nowhere and she spun to meet the face of the shifter she'd detected earlier. "Maybe. Are you?" She raised an eyebrow for a moment as she wondered why he was talking to her, not in a snotty I'm-too-good-for-you way, just curiosity. She recognized him she went to her school. He was quietly watching her, as she curiously looked him over. He was a rater attractive boy, Dimitri. She knew of him, but never really spoken to him personally. He was quite cocky to what she'd come to know though. He had quite a reputation of him, though she knew better to be open before writing someone off. She took a few steps towards him and again attempted to push the hair out of her face, at least it stayed there this time. The wind was slightly letting up now. She wondered why he was by himself, had he come here to get away too? Well, she'd probably find out soon now wouldn't she.
Jordy couldn't help but note how his face was quite well shaped, though so was the rest of him. She still felt herself go into the normal route of looking at his eyes. Anyone's eyes could captivate her. She was no biology major or anything, but eye's fascinated her. Small orbs each with a different shade, no eyes were ever the same exact color and they held so much behind them, no not the rods and cones that filter light.. but the emotions. Humans were very known for the wide range of emotions they portray, and Jordy was amazed about how much many of them including herself, showed these emotions. There she went again, it was a good thing she could still look focused and relaxed even though her mind could go on tangents as long as the Atlantic Ocean.
