It was a nice day for a good pick-up game of basketball and a grin was plastered on the shape-shifter's face as he got dressed especially for that. You see, when it came to one of his favorite sports, Jacob Kelley couldn't not grin, especially not while knowing he was about to kick some cat woman's butt. As he sat on his bed, he couldn't help but think back on last night's online conversation with Karlee, a girl he had quickly taken a liking for. Apparently they had quite a lot in common, including their love of sport.
Well, one thing had led to another, and Jake was now going to play some one-on-one with the dark-haired girl he barely knew. He lazily got to his feet now that his sneakers were properly tied and looked through his closet quickly, trying to find a basketball amongst all of the clothing lying around. He may be one of the most organized people when it comes to schoolwork and extracurricular activities, but when it came to his personal belongings, well, he'd been told who knows how many time now that he was worthless. Oh, and he knew it too, but as long as he could find his way through his mess, he didn't mind.
By the scheduled time, the teenage cat shifter was on the basketball court, an area of the school he had visited countless times throughout his year here on campus. Shooting hoops, even if it was by himself for fifteen minutes before classes one morning, always seemed to get his head in the game, or at least in whatever he needed to concentrate on. Bouncing the ball once, he decided to shoot a few times while waiting for his opponent to arrive.
One shot after the other (He missed perhaps one shot out of a dozen) they landed in the basket. From a slam dunk to hookshots, even a few layups, the teen practiced them all, making sure he was ready for the challenge that was about to come in the form of a potentially talented cheetah. "Glad you could make it." were his words when she did arrive, doing one last dunk just to show-off.
