Major Explanation: Aside from Xander's obvious preference of the social sciences over subjects such as mathematics and physics, he is forever trying to get inside people's heads. Xander is absolutely fascinated by the intricacies of the human brain; he likes to know what makes people tick, why, and even how he can exploit that to his advantage. He shares the same prying blue-gray eyes with the eagle housed in his frame. Their sharp, intelligent gaze is equally curious and seems to stare right through people.

Likes:
- wealth [he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth, and just can't live without it.]
- flying
- shifting [not just in the basic sense -- xander has become so incredibly reliant on his abilities that he would without a doubt spiral into depression if he were to lose them.]
- bright sunlight [call it genetics, but there's something about the brazilian sun he's always found intoxicating.]
- intelligence [it makes for good conversation, of course. plus, it is one of the main factors in his deciding whether or not they are worth his time.]
- respect [he might absolutely adore being the object of it, but is not quite so willing to dole it out.]
- the social sciences [needless to say, they're far more interesting than, say, chemistry or calculus.]
- leading [not so much telling people what to do, but rather the feeling of being in charge.]
- rainforests [they are the natural habitat of the harpy eagle. this one goes without saying.]
- guys [shh, it's a secret, for now. he's still figuring it out, but it's clawing its way to openness.]

- clouds [they block the sun, and cast generally depressing shadows everywhere.]
- bigotry and racism [coming from a multi-racial background, xander is very sensitive to racial discussions, and has a very low tolerance for insensitivity regarding the subject.]
- cold weather [having grown up in near-tropical climates the majority of his life, he simply can't stand it.]
- the moon [in contrast to the bright, life-giving sun, it seems boring and inadequate.]
- insecurity [he may consider it nonexistant in himself, but he has very little patience for those without their own self-confidence.]
- being told what to do [he's about fifty times more stubborn than your average donkey.]
- chocolate [unlike most people, he just never took a liking to it.]
- storms [any bird's worst nightmare. terrible flying conditions.]

It's pretty simple to explain the basic looks like eye and hair color, weight, clothing, piercings, tattoos, make-up, and other extra things. You also must go into detail about what the animal portion of your character looks like. If you're a snake, great but what kind of snake, what do you look like etc. Both of these are important and must be explained as detailed and as thoroughly as possible[/size]

Although it says 400 words, we still need you to be thorough. Family MUST be mentioned along with young childhood and adolescence. This character is, in essense, you, so make sure you are providing yourself with enough background to roleplay them. Keep in mind that shifting is genetic, so somewhere in your family there must be more shifting going on. Also, you must describe the day you shifted for the first time.
