The first thing a person would notice when first meeting Aria, her rudeness. This is due to her being very blunt, upfront and honest to an extent that she may offend the other person. Frankly, she couldn't care less. If she doesn't like them, she would say it to their face. She has been known to act without thinking, but rarely she regrets anything she says. She doesn't like to mingle with other students all that much, but that doesn't make her a shy person. In fact, she is anything but shy. She is extremely loud-mouthed and sarcastic, which can get her into trouble sometimes. She is quite the women to be 'in your face', and absolutely hates loosing, and so will never back down from such things until she has proved her point. Having a highly competitive nature, she is constantly trying to prove how capable she is as a women.

She is a very strong, independant women who answers to no-one. She wants a small group of friends who she can relate too. She has been known to get along better with guys than she does with girls, simply because she has such a tomboyish personality. She is a straight women, however, but feels she does not need a man to make her happy and can do without them. She has always had trust issues, and doesn't like to talk about herself all that much.

Despite her rough exterior, she can be really good to talk to once you get to know her. That is, if you get to that stage. If you can see past her tough nature, she is actually quite a hearty women. She is highly protective, even to strangers sometimes. She can be a little compassionate, and is always one to go to for straight, honest advice. She takes the 'no nonsence' approach to things, and doesn't always think logically. She thinks about brawn and her attitude, before brains and logic, however, which isn't always a good thing. She has a decent sense of humor, and is always cracking jokes even at the worst of times. She loves making people laugh, even at her own expense. She takes life one day at a time, and make sure she enjoys every one. Despite her slight immaturity. She can be a bit of a prankster at times, and displike those that can't take a joke. But, she is always looking for a close group of friends, where she can be herself without being judged.

The first thing one would notice at first glance, is the fact that Aria always seems to have a slight frown etched on her face. Even when she looks happy, she doesn't always look like she is. She is sort of person who is easy annoyed, so you can pretty much tell by the frown on her face like she is ready to hit something. Other than that, really, she isn't all that glamourous in terms of looks. She has a natural beauty, and rarely ever wears make-up. Since she is has the tomboyish attitude, it kind of suits her. She doesn't care much about how she looks, and is usually seen wearing jeans and a tank top. She doesn't care. Her hair is long and dark, where she sometimes ties it up. Again, she doesn't worry about her looks. Her voice is quite disctinctive as well, almost deep, yet rusty. She stands at about 5'5, but she has quite the athletic figure. She even has some distinct muscle tone which she is proud of. You can see her most of time wearing fingerless gloves, or straps on her arms due to her training. Growing up in a rough household, has taught her to be a stronger person.

Her Shifter animal is a cougar, which suits her rather well. Like the cougar, she is loud and fierce, who has quite the temper. She is easy annoyed, and you're that person, you better run. She does not take any crap from anyone, and if she doesn't like you, she would say it outfront and honest. She is seen as a strong independant women, who doesn't always need a man to make her happy. In fact, she is better off without them. At times, she can come off as seductive, but it's all in good fun. She is physically and emotionally strong, and enjoys her rough nature. The cougar always seems to have that certain glare, which Aria adopts and favors.

Her cougar form is caramel-color, which various black markings, more noticable on her face. Her eyes are pale brown-yellow in this form, in comparison to her human form. The tips of her ears have faint traces of black, which can be seen when you are close enough. Not that you'd want to do that. Her nose is salmon-colored, her paws have some traces of black as well. Beside these markings, she looks just like any other cougar.

She has a sick habit of cracking her knuckles and her neck, especially during class when it's quiet. She loves getting reactions from people when she does it, and she doesn it often. Aria also has a habit biting her lips, therefore her lips are raw red. It's not really a habit, but due to her rough nature, she tends to hurt herself quite alot. She can be rather reckless, and is always seen with various cuts and bruises. To be expected, really, from someone always ready for a fight . Aria adopts a slow, brisk walk, with a slight energetic bounce. Kind of a natural stance for her during training, and usually stands in that stance without her even knowing. Kind of an instinctive thing for her. [/size]

Arianna was born to both a Shifter mother, and a human father. Her mother, Jean, could Shift into a Jaguar, so you could say the feline traits run in the family. She was born an only sibling, so she grew up with fierce independance. She had always gotten along with her mother, throughout her childhood. They were like best friends, and her mother always favoured her strong attitude, which were whom she got the traits from. However, it was her father who posed the most problems. Although he loved her mother dearly, he despised the Shifter gene within her and always feared that their children would be one, too. When it was revealed at 13 years old that she did indeed, posses Shifter genes, her father became strict and even abusive. Among her growing up, they were always fighting, even about little things. Her mother tried to break them up, but could not do much because even she feared him at times. Her father, Michael, had a handful. He has a tendancy to hit her, leaving bruises, and she could only go to school making excuses for them. Hence why, in her adult years, has she grown to be emotionally and physically strong to make up for those harships. She was more than happy to move out.

The first shift was definatly unexpected. She was thirteen years old when she first Shifted into the cougar, which was quite a strange, yet painfull experience. It began one night, when her father got real mad at her for the first time, when she smashed a flower vase playing with a ball. Her father freaked out at her, which was the first time it ever happen, so of coarse, Aria was quite scared at first. He begn to yell at her, and he was on the verge of hitting her, when she fell to the floor in absolute agony. Her father was confused at first, but her mother knew exactly what was happening. She felt her bones break and reform into a new structure, and became the cougar for the first time. Being a baby cougar at the time, she growled back at her father. In an instant, she shifted back into herself and ran off to her room, and would not come out for a few days after. After that time, she tried to force herself to take control, but it because even more difficult when her father was constantly furious with her. She became more fierce as she got older, and her father more abusive.

Her school years were average. She was not the best student, nor was she the worst. Like most, she hated school with a passion and it reminded her of a prison. She always found it difficult to talk to other students, so she kept to herself most of the time. During her teenage years, she found a small group of friends who were much like her. Being the only girl in the group, she enjoyed their company. She rebelled with them, and they helped bring out her daring side. They didn't commit crimes, but were always playing pranks on people. All in good fun. When she went to the Shifter Academy, which her mates were were also Shifters, she really didn't know what to expect. Having to deal with students who thought their Shifter was better than anyone else's, brought out her rude nature. She was not arrogant, and hated boasting about her life and her form. Therefore, she hated those who did.

She moved out of home when she was seventeen, and went to live with her mates in a small flat. It was just the four of them, and she couldn't be happier. She does speak to her mother many times over the phone, but refuses to speak to her father, nor even look at him. She doesn't care. She loathes him with a passion.

Arianna shifts into the cougar, because of quite a few similiar personality traits. Like the cougar, she is fierce, loud-mouthed, strong, quick-witted, and independant. Also to mention that they even adopt the same dark glare and dark eyes, that is even Aria's usual expression. She can't help it, but it matches the cougar perfectly. The cougar is also represented as an animal totem. They symbolise leadership, cleaverness, awareness, confidence and dependance, very much like Aria. Having so much in common, their couldn't be a more perfect match.

"Potter! My patience is waring thin..." Severus Snape paced the room of his empty classroom, with his cloak billowing behind him. He watched the boy intently, with beady black eyes awaiting for the next screw-up from the Gryffindor. Harry Potter was serving detention, who was instructed by his teacher to make another batch of Skin-Repairing Potions, after his used his private stocks on Draco Malfoy. The little brat must have snuck in his storeroom without his permission, and now here he was, re-creating them. Of course Potter had never been shown how it was made, hence why Severus took great pleasure in 'correcting' him. Well, despite his quickly-dulling patience.

Harry mumbled a few words, and Severus quickly jumped to it, "What was that, Potter? Don't waste my time, " He pointed to a bowl, which looked like grey-colored herbs, "Greymurt. Now, " His tone was soft, was firm. Anyone who new Snape well enough, to take note of his tone of voice, not of just his words. It was somewhat, a trademark of his. Besides the dark glare he gave Potter constantly during his time in detention, which was hardly his first.

As he watched Potter carefully as tended toward his potion, Severus turned his back, which he would surely regret, to tend to his own potions he was brewing at the same time. Carefully, a slowly simmering purple and blue-colored bubbling potions was almost ready in the cauldron. He took a small vial, and a small scoop, as he filled the vial with the contents. As he popped a small cork on the top of the vial, there was a loud bang, and Severus quickly turned on his heel with a furious look on his face.

"POTTER! I said stir the potion anti-clockwise after you have added the Greymurt!" There was a thick black smoke, which quickly filled the empty classroom, and the professor started coughing along with Harry. "You stupid boy..." He withdrew his wand to try and dissipate the smoke, but instead, there was a blinding light and he was no longer at Hogwarts.

The light sent him to shut his eyes, and still clutching his wand, he could feel the atmosphere in the room change. If he was still in the room. Then, he hit solid ground, and took a few steps back to gain his footing. He blinked several times, as he flipped around in several directions. Dazed and confused, he gritted his teeth. That Potter brat did this. He was sure of it. He didn't think he even had the mental capacity to do it. But the Gryffindor succeeded. Severus Snape was no longer at Hogwarts. Hell, the school could not even be seen.

"What in Merlin's name..." He did stay slightly calm, despite his eagerness to get back and strangle the boy. The most prominant thing he noticed was the stench. Manure. Hay. Oats. And...horses? He turned around again and finally noticed that he was now standing in a stable. A horse was standing a few paces down, and seemed to stare at the teacher, unmoving. Severus frowned, and was tempted to hex the beast, but decided that was the least of his worried. He only took a few steps forward, where he felt something squishy underneath his show. With a look of disgust, he looked down to find he had stepped in a pile of horse manure, and grinded his teeth together in frustration.

"Just bloody great..." He mumbled a few words, and the manure was wiped clean off his shoes. He began walking out of the stables, to see if there was anyone else present. The first thing he needed to know, was where the hell he was. His anger was slowly building.[/size]
