Me father was the keeper of the Eddystone Light... And he slept with a mermaid one fine night. Out of this union there came three, a porpoise, a porgy... And the other was me!
Tony texted her!
It wasn't like she waited for him to text her and sat waiting for him to do so. She really wasn't that hopeless and nervous. She really wasn't that pathetic at all really! It was just that Tony hadn't spoken to her for a while. She understood, he was closed and she was open a lot. She needed to be with people, she craved it. Penelope couldn't help but want to be around people. When she was alone she got scared--really scared. When she was alone she would cry which sounded very juvenile but she was afraid of being alone. Tony was different though.
When she had met him as a freshman she was amazed that he could and would spend so much time alone. Perhaps, that was what drew him to her and vice versa. He'd been alone and Penelope being the kind of girl she was pranced up to him in her normal fashion and introduced herself. She was pretty sure that he didn't want to be friends with her but she supposed that maybe she grew on him. Somehow. They complimented each other. She didn't want to break up their friendship or ruin it so she laid off the flirting with him which was hard for Penelope to do.
She didn't want to mess things up, so she made sure to give him his space. Occasionally, he would become a recluse and Penelope would deal with it even though she really wanted to cling onto his arm and make sure that he was okay. That wouldn't help him though. She knew that and he knew that so she gave him his space.
She hadn't spoken to him in days. She had expected it to be a week but he had texted her and she had been so excited she hardly even read it. She just put on a cute dress and raced to his dorm. Her roomie wasn't with her and she had been afraid of the storm. So she put on some better mascara and made sure that none of her make up was running.
She stuffed a few essentials into her purse as she meandered out the door. She was smart enough to just not run outside, it was horrible out! The young girl all but ran from her room to his. Her shoes at hand because she didnt' want to break her ankle in the process.
It didn't take her too long to get to his dorm. She almost knew it by heart and she hummed to herself. The young woman rocked her head from side to side as she bit gently on her lower lip. For a while she stood at the door her hands before her as she hummed quietly.
Brushing her dress off the young girl slipped her shoes on happily. She was happy that he wanted to see her. She should probably check that text again. It was to meet his new roomie. She blinked as she stared at her phone. Really, that was it?
Penelope was used to being the center of attention too. Her parents spoiled her rotten especially since she was an only child. When she was with Tony she was usually the only person around too. She pouted but was happy maybe this guy would be a good friend. She knocked on the door happily and waited. Her heals clicked against each other as she pressed her plump lips together. Maybe she could make a new friend too.

Tony glanced at the clock as his sleepy head poked out from under his new mattress, eyes more than half closed as he peeked from under his eye lids. 8:45pm. Yup, time to get up. Better now than waste more of his precious night hours, that was for sure. Sighing, he pushed his arms in much like a push-up position, rising as he brought the comforter on his back with him. Curling his spine to sit in an upright position, he looked out the window behind him with a sleepy stare to notice the stars just poking through, the night swallowing the rest of the sunlight beautifully. Earlier that day, sometime around the early dawn before he’d drifted off into bed, Tony had sent a text message to one of his dear ol’ compadres; Penelope. He hadn’t talked to her, or much of anyone for that matter in days.
This was normal though, and couldn’t be helped. Against his willpower, random moments of solitude over came his need to hang out with others, and he pushed them all away to be alone. Or, as alone as he could be, what with Leo now buzzing about in the room. He hadn’t made much conversation with him either, now that he thought about it. No one was exempt from his ‘momentary banishment’, roommate, best friend, or faculty. A bad habit he’d wormed himself into, but one he couldn’t help all the same. Now, though, he felt refreshed, and excited to know that his pal was coming on down. He knew she was a social creature 24/7, a feeling he didn’t comprehend, but somehow they both put up with each other and had grown close. Dragging his sorry butt out from the warmth of the bed, Tony stretched his arms above his head, standing on his tip-toes and giving his spine a good crackling sensation. He turned, then, to see if Leo was in the room anywhere. The lights were off, but that didn’t hinder his vision at all. In fact, it heightened them. Outside the thunder was still booming, but the rain and wind had let up some; if only a little bit. Which was reassuring to say the least.
He walked over to his dresser, forgetting about Leo for the moment, and yanked open a drawer. Tony had texted Penny and told him to be here at about nine; he would have made it earlier, if he didn’t feel like he was going to be a crab for getting up during the light hours. His fingers fumbled around inside, looking for a shirt in particular. Yanking out a black crew-cut shirt that fit his body quite nicely, he threw this aside to the bed that he used to sleep in, before thoughts of a crashing window had bargained him out of it. That is, until the hurricane was over. After that, he was moving out of the mattress that wasn’t his – though still soft – and back to where he rightfully belonged. Plucking out a pair of form fitting straight legged jeans, he threw this to the side too.
Tony gave a quick look over his shoulder to make sure Leo wasn’t about, but only glanced as he assured himself that he was alone. Turning back to his once bed, back to the door, Tony undid the string keeping his basketball shorts up, and let these fall to the ground in a mesh heap around his ankles. Snatching the pants off of the bed, he hobbled into the jeans quickly and pulled them up just around his waist, fumbling with the button and zipper. Then, hands criss crossed each other as he grabbed each opposite end of the hem of his shirt, and yanked it up and over his head, managing to get stuck just when the neckline reach his chin. “..Crap..” he mumbled, staging slightly as he tried to yank the clothing off. His stomach was bare, delicately toned and smooth skin playing in the light of the lightning as it flashed through the window. With one final tug, he jerked the stubborn shirt over his head and sighed heavily as he tossed this onto the bed, quickly pulling on the other one he’d picked out.
Not bothering to really comb his hair, Tony ran a few fingers through it to smooth it out, it’s dark ebony color twirling this way and that. He considered dying it back to brown sometime in the near future.. once it stopped raining. A knock came at the door, then, and he felt a warm smile cross his lips. Knowing just who it was, he whirled about and took two large leaps to clear the floor before reaching for the door handle, unlocking it, and swinging it wide open in the dark room. “Penny!” he breathed excitedly, completely different than how he probably had acted earlier that week when his ‘me-time’ mode kicked in. He looked down at the girly summer dress she had on, and the heels to match, and he couldn’t help but smile brighter. She always wore the cutest stuff. “D’aw, you know you didn’t have to get all fancy.” He laughed, and reached over to lightly grab her by the wrist and tug her inside, closing the door behind him. Waltzing back to his dresser, he flicked on the desk lamp, figuring she couldn’t probably see all too well in the dark.
“Sorry,” he apologized, his sweet tone only given towards those he was utterly close with. Anyone he wasn’t particularly buddies with would be shocked to hear the ‘big bag Tony’ speak with such foreign tenderness, as he was only this way with a select few. Her being one of them. He was getting better at the whole ‘dude, don’t push your friends away’ thing, but was still far from perfection. This was just one of the steps he was trying to get used to taking. “I’d turn on the big light for you but, my eyes are still adjusting.” He gave a sheepish grin while Tony turned away from the light just as soon as he’d turned it on. It was doing a pretty good job lighting up the room, but it still casted long shadows here and there, and a couple of the corners of the room remained dark. He plopped down on the bed that he had momentarily taken over, and patted the spot next to him for her to come and sit. “So how’ve you been? It’s been a few days.. hasn’t it?” Came both questions.
Rarely did he keep track of the time he was alone, the time variation differentiating each time. It could be anywhere between a few hours, to a few weeks. But he always knew when the little ‘spell’ was over, and Penny was always the first one on his list to contact once it was. “As you know, I thought I’d introduce you to my.. roommate.” A flinch occurred at the name, the taste of it bittersweet. “But, I’m not quite sure where he’s gone off to. He’ll be around, I’m sure. You want me to go snag us a couple of cokes from Dylan’s room?” Tony grinned, always finding it super easy to pick the lock on the dorm room just down the hall and sneak into their stash of sodas when they weren’t around; which was oddly often. He loved to hear them bicker at one another and argue about what happened to ‘so and such a can, I put it right here!’ Standing up and feeling more jitterish and more talkative than usual, he walked briskly to the door and put his hand on the handle, looking back over his shoulder at her before opening and before she could protest. Not that it’d change his mind. “Don’t worry, Pen. I’ll only be gone a couple seconds.”
An encouraging grin flashed over his lips as she took a step out into the hall. “And if you see the Lug drag his butt around here, just.. Uhm, sit tight. I’ll be back before you know it.” And with that, the sneaky red panda was off to do what it did best; the only sound of his absence coming from the click of the door as it closed shut.

I'll be stuck, fixated on one STAR ---------------------------------------- Leo was in fact in the room. If the room included the bathroom. Which he was currently in, taking a shower. The water was warm enough to fog up the room pretty fast, but not so warm as to burn his flesh off. "It's the April rose that only grows in the early spring Love is nature's way of giving a reason to be living The golden crown that makes a man a king Once on a high and windy hill In the morning mist two lovers kissed and the world stood still Then your fingers touched my silent heart and taught it how to sing"[/i] The acoustics where fantastic, and so he sang, in the shower, but honestly? Who didn't? He went back to humming the song as he rinsed off and turned off the water. He grabbed his towel and dried off a bit, running it through his hair to help dry the dark black locks, before wrapping it around his mid section. He heard the door close, and then silence and had an internal debate. Either Tony had just gotten up and had left the room for a snack run, or something else was going on. Though if something else was going on that meant that he was actually going to have to wear pants. He did promise. Thankfully he had brought his clothes into the bathroom. He shimmied into his boxers and then into a pair of jeans, that were tighter around the waist then he would have liked, but loosened the further down his legs that they got. Now to play it cool, he opened the door, drying his hair out, still humming the song, water droplets dripping off of his abs onto the floor. He looked up and looked slightly surprised at the girl sitting in the room. "Oh hullo." He said with a small smile. "I take it you're Penelope?" He questioned placing his towel by his bed. "Where'd Tony go?"Where'd Tony go?" He questioned walking over to her and offering his hand. "I'm Leolyn Starr. It's nice to meet you." He said with a charming grin on his face. "That's a pretty dress." He complimented easily, before stalking over towards his dresser and pulling on a loose black t-shirt and shrugging it on. That should meet the other boy's regulations. And he was behaving himself around the girl. He hadn't pulled out much of the Starr charm. (Sorry this post is made of crap. Me father was the keeper of the Eddystone Light... And he slept with a mermaid one fine night. Out of this union there came three, a porpoise, a porgy... And the other was me!
She stood there rocking gently on her feet. The young girl lit up when she heard her name and the door open. She lit up considerably like a Christmas light when turned on. The little lady let out a high pitched squeal when he opened up the door. She swished her hips from side to side when he commented that she didn't have to get too fancy. She wasn't that fancy. Was she? Naw, not really!
"Yes I did," she protested with a quick pout. The little lady continued, "Because I was coming over here, I wanted to come see you and I couldn't come wearing sweat pants." She didn't want to wear sweat pants or anything especially not to see him. She watched him reach out and her darker skin was in contrast with his lighter complexion as she followed him inside. She looked around, it was super dark, ah so typical of him!
Penelope didn't see in the dark very well, she watched as he turned on the light and she smiled. "It's okay," she replied to him. It really was okay she understood. She'd known him for years so she really did understand. "Don't worry about it," she shook her head and her straightened hair swished about her shoulders as she shook her head. Auburn hair settled and she felt her eyebrows raise upwards, "You don't need to apologize to me." He didn't unless he did something that was just not cool but she highly doubted he would do anything like that since they had a delicate and balanced out relationship and they knew how to step on each others toes.
She knew what bothered him and vice versa. Penelope was young but she wasn't totally and completely naive--or so she liked to believe--so she didn't believe in soul mates really but she remembered that when she would watch the Olympics and watch the pair skating not everybody was a couple but they belonged with each other. She kind of believed that's how she was supposed to be with Tony.
They weren't a couple-she highly doubted that they would be because she was a girl--but they belonged with each other. Penny just knew that she was supposed to be in his life, she didn't know how she fit in exactly but she was fine just being there. He sat down and she slipped in as well. Her ankles crossed as she sat down as well.
Penelope nodded as she brushed her hair back behind her ear. "It's been a few days," she replied but she didn't want to sound terribly upset about it. The little lady smiled and she replied, "It's been going--I've been kinda sad because I can't go swimming. I can't go to the beach. I can't hit the pool." She pouted and the young girl shook her head as her thin eyebrows knit towards each other.
Though she wasn't here to bitch and complain. "What about you? You been good?" She could only hope that he was going well. He had texted her so maybe he was feeling better and way more social. Penelope nodded, it was good to know his roomie since she had to make sure that he didn't like hate her. She didn't want to be on his bad side or anything, that would suck. "Mhm!" she nodded, she wanted to stay on whoever it is good side.
She liked sodas and she wanted to get some to drink even though she did like water a lot more. Though she wouldn't burst his bubble he probably just wanted to get some soda. Silly guy. Her nose crinkled up as she shook her head from side to side trying not to sigh. Silly boy.
Penelope knew he would be back very soon. He was quick and sneaky like that. "Ahhh..." She stared to say. Blinking, she watched him leave before she could protest. She had no clue what this guy looked like. Well, she supposed that she'd look for somebody who was just in the dorm room. The little lady slipped off her heals, she wasn't very tall without them and only managed to get a couple inches on with her heals. The little lady curled her feet beneath her as she sat there, her skirt covered up her legs.
In truth she hadn't really dressed up for him, Penelope just loved to look cute. She loved wearing cute clothes--especially dresses though bathing suits totally came in as a second when it came to her favorite thing to wear. She sat there for a moment and the seal tilted her head as she watched him leave. That was typical of him though. Penelope couldn't ask for anything else since she knew that was just who he was and it was part of his appeal.
Penelope pouted as she was left alone. Looking around for a moment she did her best to just sit there and wait for hi to come back. She didn't want to wait but she was totally okay with doing so. Miss Brightman tilted her head as she heard a door. Ooooh. The door opened and the tiny girl watched as somebody new came in. Oh, that must have been the roommate!
She smiled, he was a cutie. "I'm Penelope," she replied as she pointed towards her nose with a quick nod. That was indeed her. The young woman sat there on Tony's bed as she shrugged with a sing song tone, "Oh, Tony went to go get some soda."
Leolyn. What a strange name but she supposed that she couldn't go around judging people! "It's nice to meet you," she said politely as she knew that it was the right thing to do. She eyed him for a moment as he got his shirt but she went to fidget with her dress so she didn't look like she was staring. "Ah? You think so?" She questioned chipperly. The seal girl was happy to hear that she just ate up compliments. "Thank you, Mister Starr." When she didn't know people too well she put Mister or Miss in front of their names why was beyond her it was just something that she did. [/blockquote]

Tony couldn’t help but grin at her words as he was about to leave the room, staying long enough only to hear her ask the question about how he’d been. “You know. Surviving.” His usual reply was made before lithe frame dipped around the corner of the heavy door, sliding like oil and just as soundless as it swung gently shut behind him, leaving only a ‘click’ to be heard as he left Penelope in his dorm room. He knew she understood the whole lighting fixture in his room; it’d always been that way. Wake up, turn on the little light first (if any), then eventually turn on the big light to avoid any headaches. Things so delicate such as light had to be handled with such cradling care; too much exposure at once could lead to a grumpy Tony, and… well, things wouldn’t look good from there. No, no certainly not. He couldn’t see hide nor tail of Leo anywhere before he’d left, so he figured he wasn’t in the room at all to begin with. A mental sigh of relief casted over as he nodded to himself. Penny ought to be alright then, if only for a couple of minutes without him. He knew she didn’t like to be alone, hardly at all, which made him all the more eager to get this heist out of the way.
Body crouched low to the ground, knees bent and arms at his side as he quickly, soundlessly, crept forward through the wall way. The dorm wasn’t far, only a couple of rooms to the diagonal of their own, which meant he had to be cautious of any creaks from the floorboards to give him away as he slunk his way over. Tony had done this round so many times, though, that he’d memorized where the noisiest parts of the floor were, and how to successfully avoid them. It was only seconds before his hand was on the door handle, slowly tugging on it to see if it was unlocked. And it wasn’t. No matter. Reaching into his back pocket, Tony yanked out a small bobby pin; old school, but still did the trick on these dorm locks. Wedging it inside, it took only a couple of seconds before he heard the satisfactory click of the lock undoing it’s self, and quickly opened the door. Only wide enough for him to slink through, though.
Tony froze, then, as he heard the soft sound of a sleeping boy on one of the beds; the room was dark, and the light from the hallway closed behind him as he gently let the door close. Still crouched to the ground, he let a string of curses echo in his head as the body on the bed turned and jostled about, a snore picking up in the air. Tony had had this room’s student schedule down to a T to know when no one would be around – who the hell had stayed behind? Annoyed, but still determined to get his and Penny’s coke, Tony softly placed his palms on the ground and half walked half crawled over to the corner where the miniature fridge was. He held his breath tightly in his mouth, not daring to let it go. It’d been a while since he snuck anything out of a room with a sleeping individual, but from what he gathered from the snores.. He was a heavy sleeper anyways. Whoever it was. Not caring, and getting thirstier by the minute, Anthony finally approached the little fridge under the desk, able to see perfectly in the dark.
He hoisted himself up on his haunches, squatting there while one hand placed on the door handle, and the other on the top of the fridge to slowly pry it open with as little ‘suction’ noise as possible; as were typical of fridges. It gave a chilly, frosted sigh as the door was parted from the rubber lips of the fridge, and Tony froze here as no little light (thankfully) turned on. They must’ve busted it, he figured. Head glanced over to the non-stirring bed, waiting for a reaction. There was none. Nothing but the obnoxious rhinoceros-snorting sound coming as an excuse for a snore. He cringed. Tony didn’t snore in his sleep, and couldn’t stand it if others did. Deciding to wrap things up quickly least he be tempted to smack whoever it was in the face with a pillow just to shut him up, he dove a hand into the refreshing square and grabbed the familiar shape of a coke can.
Passing this off to his other hand, he hesitated before grabbing the second. Penny had been complaining earlier about not being able to go swimming, hadn’t she? Yes.. yes. Because of the storm. So maybe.. just maybe she’d rather a bottled water instead? Poking his head inside, Tony looked past all the various forms of delicious soda (seeing as how he took his from the very back so they wouldn’t notice) and plucked one of the water bottles before closing the door with his knee. Scooting back across the room, the sneaky sneak dipped past the ‘sleeping beauty’ with a satisfied smirk on his lips, adrenaline pumping into his heart as it always did when he pulled something like this. Even small jobs got him excited. Tucking the water bottle under his arm so that he could open the door, Anthony slipped back out into the hallway after locking the room again from the inside; to make it look like he’d never been there.
All in all, it probably only took him two minutes, maybe three tops to get back to his dorm. Standing up now, beaming proudly at himself, he clasped his hand around the door handle to his humble abode, but paused when he heard voices talking inside. What the— ”…That’s a pretty dress.” Ohno. It couldn’t be. The voice was definitely male; soothing, yet masculine he identified this to be none other than his roommate’s voice. Where had he come from anyways? Tony hadn’t seen him in the room at all, and he doubted he just managed to pass him in the short two minutes he’d been gone. ”Ah? You think so? Thank you, Mister Starr.” Was the airy, light and friendly voice he recognized to be Penny’s. Imagining only the worst to be going on in the room, fearful that Penny was going to fall for that voice as he had, Tony whizzed open the door quickly and in a flurry as he expected to see two things.
The first, was a lack of clothing. Pants, shirt, anything from Leo who stood by his respective dresser. Anything but what he was seeing then. It appeared that Leo had kept up his end of the bargain, Tony spotting a pair of jeans and a black shirt adoring his body. He sighed in visible relief, his heart finally beating again. It was funny how the two were matching identical clothes; well, funny to anyone but Tony. But he ignored this and looked for the second thing he was expecting to see. That smile. The one that had slain him in his own comfort of his bed just a couple of nights ago, and started this whole mess. It wasn’t there, though, and instead a more normal less oogling smile had replaced it. Not that this one wasn’t nice to look at either, but it was certainly not doing the damage he had expected Leo to be throwing at his friend.
Good.
A second sigh erupted his lips as he realized he was still standing in the doorway, looking like a flustered idiot with a couple of drinks in his hands. He regained composure and flashed a grin Penelope’s way before walking over to the bed, passing her a water. “Figured you might want a water instead.” Resuming his seat back next to Penny, a bit closer than he was sitting before as his territorial side kicked up, he held the coke in his hand, it’s water droplets cruising down his hand as he shifted a look between the two. “I see you’ve already bumped into Leolyn here..” he mused, chuckling before his eyes fell on the wet towel on the ground. Ah! So that’s where he was.. in the bathroom.
Tony avoided eye contact with Leo at all costs in the darkly lit room, knowing that the moment his attention flittered to those alluring blues, it’d be all over from there. Squirming a bit uncomfortably, he shifted the coke to his other hand and reached over to drape an arm protectively around Penny’s shoulders; on the outside it looked like a friendly gesture. Just two friends hanging out on the bed. But back in the wild, this was just as good as him marking ‘territory’. He never saw Penelope as an item, and always treasured her as a friend despite all the pushing away he did, and thus never treated her like one. But the action seemed to say Remember, she’s my friend. Watch your step, otherwise, and he kicked up a light, foreign little laugh. “I would have grabbed you something too, Leo, had I known you were around.” That’s it, keep the conversation light. No awkward words or phrases or mentionings of past events, and everything would be okay.
Or so he hoped.
“This here,” he gave her a friendly shake of his arm, rocking her to and fro, “Is my best friend. So treat her good, or else!” He chuckled again, grinning as he successfully put the icing on the cake. Tony wouldn’t be surprised if Penny thought his little threat at the end was nothing but him still on his territorial hype. But the emphasis on the last bit was heavy, and although Anthony wasn’t looking directly at his roommate, the message was being sent. For the love of all things kind… do NOT smile at her!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Oh, Tony went to go get some soda." "Ah. I doubt he'll be getting anything for me then." Leo mused lightly glancing at the now empty bathroom. "I doubt he even noticed I was in there." He joked lightly. "It's nice to meet you""The pleasure is all mine." He said flashing another one of his trademark smiles. It was toned down, just enough, that if Tony did come in and see, that Leo wouldn't get in trouble. "Ah? You think so? Thank you, Mister Starr." "I do, and please, Call me Leo. I don't want to be mistaken for my father. " He replied sitting across from her on his own bed. He had just barely caught the floor squeaking of the floor before the door swung open, revealing a rather shocked looking Tony, who stood there for several seconds, unsure of whether he should be angry or relieved. Leo watched as Tony let out a sigh and sauntered into the room, taking a possessive seat next to Penelope and handed her the bottled water, and kept the coke for himself. He grinned lightly, in thought. He would have to steal that coke from the boy. Two birds with one stone. He didn't miss the way the other was protective over the girl. The message was clear and that slight laugh was to prove he meant it. Which meant that she was now a play toy too. “I would have grabbed you something too, Leo, had I known you were around.”"How did you miss me in the shower?" He questioned tipping his head to the side lightly. "I was singing after all." He commented with a small smirk. "I would have thought that you would have been waiting at the door, waiting for me to come out half naked, to check out my abs." he teased, flashing the boy a smirk. “This here, is my best friend. So treat her good, or else!” Leo listened carefully to the other male's tone. Don't smile at her? Well maybe if he wasn't so protective the urge wouldn't have been there. He smirked lightly and stalked over to the pair, crouching down slightly so he could look the boy in the eyes. "I wouldn't dream of doing anything that horrible to such a pretty girl." He said turning the charm all the way up to eleven as he flashed the girl a smile along with the compliment. He watched for a reaction from the boy, for a long moment, testing the waters. How far would Tony let him go? How easily could the girl be swayed to his charms? How jealous could he make the Panda-shift? A whole stream of questions that needed answers. He grinned and reached for the coke in the boy's hand, slipping it away from his grasp, to pop it open and take a small sip, eyes closing lightly and head tipped back as he did so. His hair still wasn't perfectly dry, so the drops of the water ran down the sides of his face and neck. He grinned and pulled the soda away from his lips and handed it back to the other boy, flashing a wink at the girl. He stood up once more and stalked back over to his dresser. "I can't help but notice, Tony, that we're wearing almost identical clothes." He teased lightly, before pulling a tighter white t-shirt. He turned his back to the pair sitting on the bed, and pulled off the black shirt, muscles rippling lightly with the motion, before putting on the white one. He turned back towards them and sat on his bed, leaning back against his arms. "So whats the plan?"

Me father was the keeper of the Eddystone Light... And he slept with a mermaid one fine night. Out of this union there came three, a porpoise, a porgy... And the other was me!
He was surviving but she couldn't help but think that he was exaggerating about that. He was doing well, she knew it, especially now that he was out of one of those anti social funks. How he managed to stay away from people for so long was beyond her, people needed people in order to survive. The first thing that a baby craved was love; they needed someone to care for them. Someone to love them, feed them, they had lots of wants Penelope always wanted to be with people and Tony well he didn't. The young girl glanced over at hi a she brushed back at her hair. Her auburn hair hung against her shoulders as she studied him.
Tony was a strange creature, he was a strange boy but that was part of his appeal to her. The young woman smiled gently at him, she liked the light. Penelope couldn't see in the dark very well and she didn't like it too much. She liked being able to see where she was going to, she liked to know where she was and she wanted to make sure that she wasn't placed into a dangerous situation. Odd boy, she smiled, they were so very different.
Though she always brought something different to his table and she always brought in another point of view. Swinging her legs back and forth she sat there quietly in the room. Her thin eyebrows knit towards each other as she bit down gently on her lower lip. Without Tony she felt lonely again and she wanted him to desperately come back. She didn't want him to be out there for too long.
She highly doubted that he would get caught or hurt while out there but what if he went outside? The fear was stupid and she brushed back at her hair again as she did her best not to worry about him. He'd be back soon and she knew that he would be all right. Besides, she was in the middle of a conversation with Leolyn. He really was a cutie and she couldn't help but smile at him. Besides, he smiled back at her and said that the pleasure was all his.
What a typical polite thing to say, the pleasure was all hers. The young girl crossed her ankles as she sat there happily. "All right then, Leo," she replied as her nose crinkled. It was a nice name. And a lot easier for her to say than Leolyn. Not that Leolyn was a hard name to say but she just liked Leo. Just plain Leo. Perking up when the door opened she glanced over at him. She lit up immediately when she saw him and the girl chirped, "Tony! You're back!"
Hooray, he returned. The young woman smiled when she found that he brought her a water. She squeeed happily and held onto the bottle as she opened it. The seal girl took a swig as she sighed happily. Her pale eyes glanced over at him as her thin eyebrows knit towards each other, "Thank you, you know me way too well."
She really liked soda but she liked water way more. "Yeah," nodding the little lady glanced up at him when she felt his arm around her. Ba dump, went her heart as she blinked. What the heck was that! She wasn't used to Tony holding onto her but she didn't object to it.
In fact she rolled with it and nuzzled her cheek along him as she glanced up at him with her pale eyes and a smile on her face. Penelope knew that the threat was probably nothing. She was used to such things sputtering out of Tony's mouth. Her eyes closed happily as she snuggled into him. However, she glanced over at Leo, "You treat him well too, okay?" Leo came over and she watched as he said he would never harm a pretty girl. Boys who said that always ended up hurting girls. She pouted a girly pout and then clutched onto the water bottle as she watched Leo saunter towards his drawer and take ut a new shirt. Penelope didn't think much of it until she saw his gorgeous back!
Her mouth formed into an O as she snuggled more into Tony. Her eyes closed as she mumbled, "I vote for saying here. It's bad out. I don't like it." She didn't like it out there, it was horrible and she wanted to stay with them. "I don't like it out there now." [/blockquote]

The grin on Leo's face once he made his seat beside Penelope was unnerving. Frightening, even. To the untrained eye, it might've been flattering, maybe even charming. But to Anthony? No -- it meant something was up. Something was bubbling inside of that feline's mind and he didn't like it one bit. Partially because Leo pretty much always had him eating out of the palm of his hand, and the other was because he knew it couldn't be anything beneficial for him.
"How did you miss me in the shower?" Hmm.. well that certainly -was- a good question. Sure, his hearing wasn't as acute as other shift's, but even puny humans could hear the hot running water of a shower going on, couldn't they? "I was singing after all." Nope, he certainly hadn't heard any singing. "Sorry," he finally mustered up, still trying to avoid eye contact as he focused his attention towards Leo's forehead instead. That way it could appear as though he were looking at him, maybe, without slaughtering himself in the effort. "Guess I was just too excited to have Penny come over." It was a cheesy excuse, but it was almost pretty legit. Aside from the fact that he had just been that much of a clutz that night to not notice the water running. He'd have to look for that next time.
"I would have thought that you would have been waiting at the door, waiting for me to come out half naked, to check out my abs." In his peripheral vision, he spotted Leo's smirk and gave an eye roll, practically scoffing. Sure, he wasn't going to deny Leo's abs -- they were eye candy. But he wasn't that desperate. "What, were you that disappointed not to see me there? I'm not some little fan girl who raves at the mere sight of your body, Leolyn. Give me a break!" Anthony was sure the boy already had some sad little posse out there somewhere to do that job for him. It wouldn't surprise him any. He almost slipped the word 'gorgeous' in the sentence though, and had luckily managed to catch himself. What an awful slip up that would be, yeah? "Although Penny here might be willing to participate~" ..Crap! He hadn't meant to say that!
The last thing Tony was here to do was encourage any hooking up between the girl and the cat shift across the room, but he was sure his phrase hadn't helped his cause any. Anthony gave a visible wince as he mentally groaned. He hadn't even looked at Leo's eyes yet and already he was screwing things up. How bad could it get? "Tony! You're back!" Penelope's bright tone brought him out of his momentary sulking, and he looked over at her with a wide grin, watching her down a couple quick sips of the icy water with his eyes. "Yeah, I figured you might want a water instead. I'm surprised they actually had any -- normally all I see in there is soda."
And before he could react, he heard the soft shuffle of Leo's feet and felt his presence just before him on the ground. That strong, wafting scent of the shower drifted off of his body and into Anthony's nose, and commanded his head to painfully turn down at look at Leo who was already staring up at him. His defenses quivering the moment they locked eyes, Anthony was momentarily lost for words. "I wouldn't dream of doing anything that horrible to such a pretty girl." Although he couldn't speak, his mind was blowing out warning signals to his dear friend who wouldn't be able to hear a single one. For the sake of all things kind, Penny, he begged to himself as he struggled to find his voice, DON'T listen to him!! of course his attempts were futile; she couldn't read his mind.
"Hey!" he snapped back into focus once the coke was wedge from his grasp, but by the time he'd reached out, it was too late. Penny was nuzzling into his cheek by this point, but he was hardly paying any mind. "That was mine, damnit!" he whined, watching as Leo took a deliberately slow drag from the can. The first sip was always the best, in his opinion. Every one after that was mediocre; hardly as fresh and crisp as the first. People called him silly for such thoughts, but he couldn't help it. As the can was replaced back into his grip, and his roommate made some kind of comment on their attire, he sadly gazed into can, missing the first sip. Still, he was thirsty enough to take a drag it himself, and so he wedged his arm off of Penny, whom he missed was loving the attention, and tipped his own chin back to indulge in what he could of the drink.
It was good, but nothing compared to what he'd had his mind set on.
Tony snorted at Leo, then. "I believe the term is a.. Copy Cat." He grinned, loving all the many feline puns he could pull on the other. Turning his attention over to Penny, he gave a more friendly smile. "I was kind of hoping we could watch a movie? Since.. like you said, it's pretty nasty out there." He gave a glance towards the window, and picked himself off of the bed. "This kid I know lent me some of his movies, and his DVD player since he's out for summer vaca." Tony explained as he motioned towards the two of them to come over to the little stash that he had sitting ontop of the TV. There was a wide assortment of movies ranging from more recent Disney movies, to horror films, comedies, and of course the tear busters.
"So uh.. one of you get your butts over here and pick one out!" he chuckled then and took another sad sip from the coke can. The TV was close enough that they could comfortably watch it from either beds, luckily.
