The new girl was laughing. Was it at him, Theo wondered? Was she finding it funny that she was making him blush? She didn’t improve things by moving over to him, smiling sweetly, and hugging him. He had absolutely no idea what to do. Her head was resting on his shoulder. He imagined her hearing his heart thumping in his chest, or feeling it. She almost certainly knew that she was making him uncomfortable, but she was doing it anyway. Or was it because she was making him nervous that she kept doing it? Theo was quite sure that this was the case but there was still that little part of his brain that had seen Zuri looking lonely and didn’t think they would really be doing this just to torment him. Maybe it was just how they were. The girl who was now hugging him from behind offered an alternative to Zuri. It sounded a little like she was on his side at first, defending him. But he wasn’t sure about spending a whole day in animal form. But then, it was better than having to become an animal and buy diner for the three of them… wasn’t it?

The girl spoke again, pretty much confirming what Theo had been thinking for a while. They knew he was nervous and uncomfortable. Her words should have made him feel better, like she was on his side, but the way she said it didn’t help at all. And she called him Foxxy… He wasn’t sure what he thought about that. She introduced herself as Serenity. That was a nice name. Theo thought it quite suited her, or at least it would have if she hadn’t been making him so nervous. And she was saying he was cute again. He really had no idea what to say to that. Thank you seemed stupid, and saying that she was cute too could surely only make things worse. Her fingertips were trailing lightly down his arms and she pressed a little closer. And if Theo had been thinking he couldn’t be any more nervous, he was proved wrong.

Serenity was asking if they liked the bet. Zuri was agreeing with her, accompanying her answer with a slightly worrying grin. So now he was outnumbered. Part of him was still telling him to just leave, but he was either too scared, too polite, or a mixture of both, to do so. Even he wasn’t sure exactly what made him stay. He nodded himself, though he didn’t really know why. ”Alright… I guess.”

Zuri laid her cards down. She had two pairs. Theo didn’t really know what that meant. He was sure she had said that a straight would beat two of a kind… but he didn’t know what having two would do to that. He guessed that it was better though. So that probably meant he had lost. Zuri was joining in now, saying he seemed cute and innocent. Theo chose to stay quiet again rather than embarrass himself trying to think of a reply. Before he had placed his cards down though, Zuri told him it was ok to leave if he wanted. The part of him that wanted to leave jumped at what was essentially an easy way out, but he still stayed. He wasn’t sure why. These girls were making him nervous and uncomfortable but it was kind of nice to have their attention, though he wouldn’t admit it, it just wasn’t him. Zuri aid they won’t actually hurt him… He wasn’t sure what she had in mind, but it sounded quite worrying. She stroked his cheek again as she spoke. Maybe these girls had planned this to see how many times they could make him blush. Well if they had they had just scored another point.

Realizing that he had to show his cards now, he took a beep breath. He tried not to let the girls notice, even though one of them had her arms wrapped around his waist. Placing his cards, he looked up to Zuri, not really knowing how to do it. He had 4 to 7 across all sets. ”That’s a.. straight… right?” he asked, hoping he had done everything right, and partially hoping that he hadn’t lost. ”What does having two pairs mean? You never told me that.” He tried not to sound accusing, which wasn’t too hard. What was hard was keeping the nervousness out of his voice. He wondered if any of the other people in the lounge found it weird that these two girls were giving him so much attention.

Serenity giggled in his ear quietly, it was more seductive than it was a real giggle, she was enjoying herself, and if she wasn't in a school, she'd be a little more inappropriate, but it was a school, and she didn't want to get labeled as a child sex offender before she graduated, afterwords, maybe, that didn't matter much, she wouldn't have a life after she graduated, unless she found someone, which she seriously doubted she would, opening up wasn't something she was good at, not the personal stuff you need to find your true someone, so why did it matter if she was labeled as a offender, after, she graduated?

She kept one arm wrapped around his waist but rubbed his outer thigh lightly, of course she was making a move on the poor kid, he was cute, shy-ish, or so it appeared, and unsure about the two girls, he was either go to leave them with what she was doing, or he would freeze up, or other things. Who knew, it was a kid she didn't know, she needed to know how he worked, what made him tick, it was a pet peeve if she didn't.

She continued rubbing his leg and she kissed the base of his neck lightly.

"Did he win Zuri? I'm not sure at all about the game."

She started to kiss his neck again, slowly moving up, and she kissed where the pulse on his neck would be, a slight grin on her face, she stopped with her lips on his pulse, a fast pulse, that was good, for them, not for him, it would cause her to tease him just that much more.

"You have a fast pulse, nervous about something? Or are you still overwhelmed by it all?"[/color]

She spoke just above a whisper, trying to make it so only he could hear, of course, she was trying to do that, as to not encourage Zuri to do anything stupid, like that was possible, if she was her roommate, than there was a problem, she was serious as she whispered the next few words.

"If you want me to stop, just say so, but I don't know why you wouldn't be enjoying this attention, that a lot of guys would kill to get."[/color]

She giggled lightly, as she started to kiss his jaw up to his ear, smelling his hair, she loved to smell hair, and his smelled kind of nice, and it was soft, she smiled, and kissed his earlobe.

"Your hair smells nice, and it's soft too."

She blinked and giggled.

Two pair is one of the weakest hands, and you have a straight flush which is one of the strongest kiddo." She said with a smile and wink in his direction. She stood up and kissed his cheek and stroked his hair. "Well looks like I won't be talking more for awhile." She said with the same teasing smile. Inside her heart was racing she had never conciouly shifted in front of others, what if she went beserk again? She didn't want to hurt Cub or Serenity not like she had Lindsey. Just the memory of that was enough to make her want to run out of the room.

But she wouldn't simply run from her problems. She'd have to do this sooner or later, and it was a bet afterall. Mentally to herself yeah that was an excuse neither of them new how to play poker at all, she could have lied about it and easily. Part of her wanted to show off her animal form for well she didnt know why but part of her was still very very afraid as well. But she didnt let the fear show as she confidently removed her tank top and handed it to Serenity. "Put that in our room once I've shifted please can't afford to have it ripped." Which was very true she was so close to broke it wasn't funny at all. She literally couldn't afford to replace her clothes.

Her body was well toned and in good shape. Her bra barley covered her breasts as she unclasped that as well and handed it to Serenity. She turned around so poor Cub wouldnt go completley red or pass out. Without ceremony she took the rest of her clothes off as she reached for the animal inside of her.

The first thing to happen was her back arced forcing her on all fours. She shouted and screamed in pain that turned into an animal like cry as her face shoved out into the muzzle of a hyena. Her hands and feet became paws and fur grew all over her body. Her fur was a rich golden color broken up by black spots. Her ears were pure black once they changed. The whole process hurt for awhile but once done she shook herself and gave a yip of pleasure as she licked Serenity's stomach like the human Zuri had been wanting too.

She then sauntered over to Cub, even in her animal form she outweighed him, it was rather funny really but she simply rubbed against him and yipped at him a little before jumping up and licking him on the face. The expression on her face was a rather pleased one, she knew she looked both pretty and intimidating as a hyena.

Theo was so unused to being treated this way. He had no idea how to react. He was feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, but he couldn’t deny that he was liking the attention. Serenity was rubbing his thigh and kissing his neck. Theo didn’t think he could blush any more than he was doing. She said she didn’t know much about the game. Theo was sure he knew less than she did. She was kissing his neck again, moving up towards his head. She stopped, and spoke again. She’d felt his pulse. He wasn’t sure how to answer. He couldn’t admit that they were making him like this. He managed a stuttering response. ”Um… I … we’ll I was just a bit nervous about the game I guess… I’ve not really bet on anything before.” It wasn’t a very good answer but it was all he could come up with.

She was right, really. A lot of guys would kill to get this kind of attention. Theo wasn’t one of those guys though. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the attention, he was just so un-used to it. And there was still that feeling that they were just playing with him. Manipulating his emotions for fun. Serenity was kissing him again. This time moving up the side of his head. He wasn’t used to having a girl this close to him. Part of him wanted to move and get away from the pair. He was feeling just like entertainment to them. But the winning thoughts in his head were that he couldn’t leave. He was a little afraid of what they would really do if he tried to leave. Maybe they were just trying to get him to leave so they could hunt him down or something. There was the part of him that thought he couldn’t leave now that he had committed himself to the game. And then there was the part of him that liked the attention.

She was commenting on his hair too. Theo never really bothered with his hair. He looked after it but didn’t spend any amount of time on it. He didn’t think he would understand what the big thing with hair was.

Zuri was speaking now. She was saying that he had won. He almost breathed a sigh of relief. Until he realized that Zuri would be changing into a Hyena. Theo didn’t like the thought of spending the day with a hyena, especially one with a personality like Zuri’s. He had always been afraid of big animals, especially if they were dangerous. The girl stood and kissed his cheek, stroking his hair a little. Then she started removing her clothes. Theo was surprised at this. He hadn’t expected her to shift right away in the lounge. She turned away as she finished removing her clothes and started shifting. Theo hadn’t really seen anyone else shift into their animal form. It was a little creepy, seeing her form change right before his eyes. She gave a scream that changed as her body did. It was a strange experience for him.

The first thing Theo noticed about Zuri in hyena form was that she was big. He hadn’t know how big hyenas were but he hadn’t imagined they’d be that big. She turned to lick Serenity, before moving over to him. It was weird to see how she acted when she was an animal. Theo couldn’t help moving away a little, being so nervous of the animal that was trying to rub against him. He stopped himself, not wanting to show that he was afraid. He let her rub against him, then hop up to lick his face. He really didn’t know how to react, not wanting to treat her like an animal. The way she was acting though, Theo thought she might be putting on an act. His heart was still beating furiously. He had heard that some animals could smell fear, and couldn’t help wondering whether Zuri now had this ability.

Serenity left the boy alone, poor Cub, she knew he wasn't comfortable, but she was having fun, she held Zuri's clothes in her lap, a grin on her face, the kid was nervous, and she didn't want to make him accidentally antaganise Zuri while she was in shift form, seeing Zuri shift was freaky, yes, but it made Serenity want to shift to, and go for a run in the forest, where no one could bug her, but she'd have to do that later, for now, she was okay with being a human, mostly. She hated shifting, but she loved being a horse, it felt natural, but than again, so did being a human, but her horse side was always stronger, and seeing Zuri shift, really, really, really, made her want to shift, she would ignore that feeling though, though she was sure Theo wouldn't have minded being able to ride a horse.

Or at least she hoped not, she needed to find out what his fears were, she still had the urge to smother him in kisses, but she knew that was a bad idea. He was so cute, and she only wanted something out of it, and she wasn't going to play a child. She wasn't going to take adavantage of his childish innocence, she had more morals than that, if she wanted to hit on a guy, she'd go find one her age, and she would just start making out with him, that was her definition of flirting, just force yourself on them, it worked, it truly did, you almost always got a guy who's willing, but she shrugged and looked around.

She leaned back towards him and kissed his jawline, trying to stop, he was addicting, and she couldn't draw away like she wanted too, she thought it was his innocence, or the fact, that she'd never kissed someone so young before, or everything about him, was enticing, she couldn't pull away, or she was in heat, which she wouldn't doubt, she never felt such strong feelings for a little kid before. The only reason she wasn't so bad was she was trying to stop herself, from doing anything innapropriate to the little boy, he was cute, and he was there, and she was already making moves on him right away. That was sure fire sign on her motives.

"Sorry, I think, I'm in heat. You're addicting.

She kissed up his jawline and than the corner of his mouth where his lips came together to meet. She grinned but forced herself away, again, she had to get distance between her, and every other guy in the world. She jumped up suddenlly, wishing, just wishing that she was so tempted but such a little kid.

"Let's go put this tuff away and find out with Foxxy here wants to go eat!"

She put on a false, discomforted smile as she spoke, she really didn't want to rape the poor kid, and she didn't want to be a sexoffender before eighteen, seriously. She was serious about saying sorry to him, but she still just wanted to grab him, she grinned to herself, she would find someone who would slapp her out of it eventually, for now, self control. As little as that was, no wonder she felt odd this morning. She was always odd though, because she always felt ready to explode, that was her.

"Well, come on."

She grabbed Theo's hand to get him to stand up, instantly regretting it, she didn't like the idea of touching him at all, it made her want to smother him again, not a good idea.

Zuri growled at Serenity, then wondered why she did that, it wasn't as if she knew either of them that well but especially in hyena form she felt protective of the boy. Theo smelled nice too despite the fear scent. She butted into the middle of the two and gently nudged theo. Neither the human part of her or the hyena part wanted him afraid of her. She wanted friends dammit would everyone always be afraid of her now that she was part animal? She had hoped that at least other shifters would be able to not be afraid of her. Serenity didnt seem afraid but she seemed to busy kissing theo to pay attention to anything else.

She gave Serenity a look that clearly said back off now. She wanted theo comfortable with her not running away in fear. Once she was human she'd have words with the horse.

As it was she trotted easily between the two as they made their way to the room. They passed several people some who were surprised to find someone shifted inside the school, most of them scrambling to get out of the way of the three. She eyed those then dismissed them. Once at the room she waited for Serenity to open the door since she couldnt as her roommate did so she nuzzled Cub again. Part of her wanted to roll around on the floor with him and play.

She shivered a bit at the idea of pouncing on cub and having him under her for a bit, or just curling up beside him, or him and serenity. It really had been far too long since she had anyone to do anything with, well anyone she'd call a friend anyway. As a human it was easier to pusth the lonliness away as a hyena it was far more difficult to do so. Hyenas were social animals needing contact with others.

She pressed herself closer to Cub getting some of her fur on his clothes. She looked up at him as if to say sorry and shrugged a bit. Once the clothes were on her bed she nipped at her roommate wanting some food. She grinned as best she could as an animal, wondering what restraunts would let her in in her shifted shape, it would be interesting to see if the island had such a place, and amusing to see the reactions to her in town.

Serenity was kissing him again along his jaw, moving toward his mouth. He had no idea what to do, this was something of a first for him. But then it was a rather unique experience, how many people can say that they were being kissed by a girl several years older they were after just winning a hyena for a day in a bet? Theo was, at the moment, just sat there, like a bit of an idiot. Serenity’s next comment was surprising. He had certainly never been told he was addicting before. He had no idea how to respond. Once again he stayed silent, though part of him felt he should say sorry for some reason.

Serenity was nearing his mouth, but just as she reached she pulled away and stood up. Theo wasn’t sure whether he was happy or nervous about leaving the lounge. Some of his nerves might have been self-consciousness, wondering what the other people in the lounge were thinking about him. But part of him was worried about being alone with the two. He wondered how they were going to get something to eat with a hyena tagging along.

Serenity took his hand, making it clear it was time to go. He stood up, feeling just a little shaky on his legs. He was surprised to hear what he thought was a growl from Zuri. He was even more surprised by Zuri moving in between him and Serenity, as though trying to separate them. She was nudging him slightly. Theo felt he should respond, but couldn’t do much when Serenity was holding his hand. He didn’t want to let go, partly because it might come across as rude and partly because he was growing to like the contact. There was still the thought that the girls were just playing with him.

As the odd trio left the lounge and headed to the dorm rooms Theo wondered if students were allowed to shift inside the school. They must have looked an odd group, the small boy and the older girl holding hands with a hyena in between them. The people they passed certainly seemed to think it was weird. They reached the dorms before too long though, and Theo let go of Serenity’s hand and stood to the side to let her get to the door and put Zuri’s clothes away.

He found Zuri nuzzling him again, and his natural reaction was to put his hand on her head and stroke her fur. He realized almost instantly what he was doing, but Zuri didn’t seem to mind, so he continued, scratching her a little behind the ears. She was pressing quite closely to him and some fur ended up on his clothes. He didn’t really mind that though, clothes could be washed. He was still a little scared of Zuri as a hyena, but the way she was acting was putting him at ease. He was still scared and nervous but not quite so much.

Serenity falsely smiled, trying to pass everything off, she wasn't feeling so hot, not anymore, or, she was feeling too hot, she wanted to take an ice cold bath, or go for a run in the rain, yes, she would run in the rain, she'll give them the money, and ask if they wanted to go without her because she was tired, though, she hoped she could fool them, Theo, yeah she could fool him, but with the Hyena, that might be something different. She really didn't want to risk her chance of doing anything stupid, not in public, she was assuming that it was nice enough to go to town, because it had stormed every other two days, that she payed attention too, and she figured today would be better, as it had not been storming all day. She really didn't feel like heading to the other island though.

She sat down on the floor of the before just standing back up and halfway jumping onto her bed, the top bunk, as she pulled herself up, nearly losing her pants as she dragged herself, she leaned back over to gently set her saddle on the bottom bunk, that way, her crowded bed, which was now over flowing with stuff, as she searched on her bed for her wallet. Of course, she couldn't find it, she had tied it to the bottom of her saddle, did she remember that, nope, she smiled lightly. Unsure how she should approach telling them that she didn't think she could come, she hopped off the bed and searched her saddle, sure enough, she found it, it was tied to the bottom of the saddle with her lead rope and harness. She quickly grabbed it and tossed it up, lightly.

She looked at the other two, "Hey, I'm feeling a little hot under the collar, why don't you guys go without me? That way there is no problem? That way you two can relax, eat something, and have fun, without eating Foxxy, Zuri. I'm perfectly sure, he doesn't want to be eaten, now do you Foxxy?"[/i]

She smiled lightly, holding her wallet out to Theo, she wasn't going to stop them, she had plenty of money, and she could get plenty more, she knew that, her parents didn't have a problem with that, they owed her hundreds in workers fees anyways. She smiled again, trying to fight off the urge to kiss the kid. She ran her hand threw Zuri's fur lightly, to show that she is paying attention to her, she wasn't normally negligent of creatures.

She froze as first cub then Serenity stroked her. It was the first time anyone had ever touched her while she was in hyena form, at least it was the first indication she had that somone liked her animal form it was a very very good feeling. In fact the feeling had her a little confused. She could however smell the heat coming from the other woman. She was just lucky that hyenas had more control than that. Female hyenas at least choosing when they went into season. She rather enjoyed having both of them petting her, especially Cub. For some reason she found his innocence a little charming. She yipped happily as he scratched her ears, it was like electricity going through her.

She was panting happily tongue rolling out of her head. She was the most relaxed she had ever been in a very very long time. She idly wondered if she could trust Cub with her history or if he'd hate her if he knew, or if he'd pitty her. She didn't think that Cub would hold anything against her. He seemed to be the first genuinley nice person she'd met in too long. She couldnt sort out the waves of emotion that were going through her, couldnt even begin to. Part of her wanted to run far away but a much larger part wanted to stay close to him and also to Serenity who was almost as confusing.

Though she thought she had her room mate pegged as ssomeone who just liked to have fun and cause trouble, someone who could be a friend and maybe a little more. Where as Cub. She made a low murmur of pleasure as he continued to stroke her, she arced her back and stretched out as he found a really good spot. As soon as Serenity handed the wallet to him she nipped at his shirt a little bit wanting to go. She really wanted something good to eat some red meat and bones would be excellent. She wondered if there were any deer or anything on the island that she could hunt. Then again if Cub saw her hunt he would be more afraid of her and maybe leave, and she didnt want him to leave, but he'd leave anyway at some point wouldnt he? These thoughts kept running through her mind but the hyena lived in the moment so she simply enjoyed the petting and stroking.

Theo stayed just by the door as Serenity entered the room. He was feeling a little weird about this whole encounter. He was experiencing a combination of feelings and emotions. He was still nervous and uncomfortable, not as much as he had been, but still a fair amount. Then there was the thought that the girls were just playing with him, and the thought of spending a whole day with a hyena was still scaring him a little. Zuri was being nice to him but Theo had always been afraid of large animals and he couldn’t get over it that easily. Then there was the part of him that was liking all the attention. He was enjoying the un-diverted attention of these two girls. Then there were the thoughts of suspicion that arose from that. Why would these two older girls be so interested in him, of all people.

Either way, he had his chance to leave and he hadn’t used it. He wanted to still have that way out, and he wished that he’d thought to leave himself an exit of some sort, maybe told the two that he had to be somewhere at some point so he could have left when things got too much for him. Oh well, he couldn’t do anything about that now.

Senenity was slimbing up on to her bed, moving something to the bottom bunk. It looked like a saddle. Theo thought that was a really weird thing to have on your bed. He just stood, still stroking and scratching Zuri’s head absent-mindedly while he watched Serenity searching about her bed for something. Theo’s confused frown was back again. Serenity jumped back down and searched the saddle, standing again after a minute holding a wallet. Theo had completely forgotten she had agreed to pay for diner.

Theo’s frown stayed on his face as Serenity said she wouldn’t be coming. He didn’t understand why she was suddenly deciding not to, after all she had seemed so enthusiastic on her way here. Her final comment got Theo’s heart beating quickly again, not that it had slowed down much. He was sure that Serenity was only joking about Zuri eating him, and the other girl had said herself that she wasn’t going to eat him, but Theo still didn’t like the thought that if she wanted to she could easily kill and eat him. He was really at her mercy, especially since Serenity would be leaving them alone.

He took Serenity’s wallet when it was offered to him, though it felt weird. Zuri seemed to want to leave, tugging at his shirt a little. ”Thank you. If you’re sure you don’t want to come… then ok.” He felt like he should give her her wallet back and say that she shouldn’t pay if she wasn’t coming but it would be rude to refuse.

He took a small step back out of the doorway, not wanting to just leave. It still seemed weird and he was a little scared of Zuri still. He wished that he had asked more about exactly what the limits of the bet were. Could Zuri not shift back at all for 24 hours? And what about at night, they would have to sleep at some point, right? He might have to try and sort things out with Zuri, though it would be hard if she couldn’t directly reply. ”Thank you again Serenity. Um…” He faltered a little, unsure of what to say. ”We’ll come back and return your wallet later, ok?”

Serenity smiled lightly as she twitched, trying to hide the fact that it was a restraint twitch and not a natural twitch, she understood those all too well, she was working on restraining herself, she grinned at Theo lightly before she spoke. "If you plan on going to get something to eat, you better go before mother nature decides to kill us all!" She laughed lightly. She really had no intention of going with, besides she already handed Theo the wallet, she would just let him keep it for the night, she planned on going outside if the weather stayed calm, and she had no intention of going back that night, she needed to be as far away from civilization as possible so she didn't do anything stupid.

"Just be careful Zuri, and don't lose Foxxy, I'm sure the school and his parents wouldn't approve of that, I mean, if he was my son, I would be devastated to lose such an innocent child." She grinned again as she spoke, petting Zuri a little more. If she did decide on going out that evening, she would get online first and argue with her computer while their dorm was empty, you looked pretty crazy when you were sitting on your bed screaming at a computer, trying to figure out why your internet wasn't connecting when it was plugged into the wireless output. She wanted to laugh, but she wouldn't, not with them in the room. She would try to figure out how to restrain herself better too, she was what, an animal trainer, she wondered how Thunder had restrained herself from being wild.

She wasn't going to worry about restraining herself once they were gone, she loved being her, she couldn't help it, she wasn't going to change for no one. She really wanted to steal Theo's kiss, but she shouldn't, she was going to anyway, she whispered something along the lines of "Watch him so you don't get your ass kicked out of school." to Zuri, she would miss Zuri, even if she wasn't too found of the girl, she grinned again, she had spoken for only Zuri to hear, that way Theo wouldn't be even more worried. She smiled at Theo, "Don't worry honey, Zuri's a carnivore, but she would never eat someone as cute as you, your edible, but not edible." she kissed him lightly on the lips before he had a chance to get away from her, and she backed off right away.

She walked over to Serenity and rubbed against her for a little. She could understand why the horse wouldnt want to come along if she was acting like that. Heck she was wondering why Serenity hadnt just locked herself in the room or gone for a run in animal form, but wasnt her buisness, besides she had a cute boy to go eat with, even if she was in animal form though he did seem more comfortable with her in animal form. She just hoped he didnt get scared when she ate as an animal. She yipped before walking towards the door saying good bye to Serenity.

As she walked towards the door she brushed against Cub gently and affectionatley. She was glad he wasnt allergic to hair. She was also glad that he was just there. Though she'd never just tell him that even in human form that wasn't her way. She did make a low rumbling sound in her throat that was almost like a cats purr, her tail swishing behind her as she started walking down towards the stairs.

She had a bit of trouble getting down it without falling but she took each step gingerly and gently. She let out a growl of frustration as she almost slipped. She whined at Cub and gave him a look that said tell anyone else about how Im having trouble and I'll eat you, then she grinned taking the sting out of it he looked so flustered and cute he was adorable, especially his hair. She shook her head and conentrated on walking down the stairs. Paws and stairs did not seem to go well together, but eventually she made it.

A younger girl meeped and pressed herself to the rail to avoid the hyena her eyes wide. Zuri got a good wiff of her and she smelled like a prey animal. She let a low growl out at the girl more playful than threatening but the girl still ran right passed Cub. She shrugged her front shoulders as she looked at him as if she was saying what did I do, giving her best I'm innocent expression she could manage in animal form, which really did not look that innocent at all.

Finally she made it down the stairs without further difficulty and swished her tail as she waited for Cub, once he made his way down she nuzzled him gently again and licked him playfully.

Theo was still a little nervous, and more confused than ever. He had been thinking that Serenity especially had been trying to manipulate him and toy with his emotions for his enjoyment. Now she was staying behind and Zuri was in her animal form, meaning neither of them could do much any more. Well… Zuri could still mess with him, Theo was sure she knew he was a little scared being around her. But she had been quite affectionate since shifting. He couldn’t help thinking that maybe she was trying to lull him into a false sense of security. He was starting to think he was being paranoid, though. She had been nothing but nice to him, especially since shifting.

He did nothing but stand there, no doubt looking a little dumbstruck. Zuri had wandered over to Serenity and was rubbing against her in what could be seen as an affectionate way. Maybe she was just playing the part. Serenity was speaking, though Theo was a little lost in thought and only caught some of it. Serenity said he was an innocent child… Though she was grinning in an odd way while she said it. Theo was wondering how he had gotten into this situation. It had all happened so quickly. He had seen Zuri enter the lounge and had decided to keep her company for a while. Before he knew it he had a bet on for his animal form and two older girls all over him.

Serenity was whispering something to Zuri. Theo was proud of his hearing but the girl was talking so quietly that he couldn’t make anything out. Just slight whispered phrases that could be one thing or another. It didn’t help his confidence or his nerves. Serenity then looked to him and told him not to worry, that he was too cute to eat. Theo wouldn’t have know how to reply to that, but he didn’t get the chance. Serenity leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Theo blushed more than he ever had before, and stood there, too stunned to do or say anything. He hardly notices Zuri rubbing against him as she left the room and made for the stairs.

He was brought back to his senses by something that sounded almost like a purr… It came from Zuri as she headed towards the stairs. Theo followed, still in a stunned silence for a while. He started descending the stairs slowly, keeping pace with the hyena next to him. He noticed she was having a bit of trouble getting down the stairs. He supposed it would be harder to traverse in animal form. He recoiled slightly when she growled, before he could stop himself. She gave him a look that clearly told him he was not to speak of her trouble to anyone else. Theo was starting to wish he hadn’t agreed to this again. He was still afraid, even though Zuri made an expression that was probably supposed to calm him. It didn’t work.

Theo didn’t notice the young girl until she made a noise as the Hyena neared her. He was about to tell her not to worry, when Zuri gave a growl. The girl took off, running past him before he could say anything. Zuri seemed to be trying to look innocent. ”What did you do that for? You didn’t need to scare her.” He said, feeling sorry for the girl who was no doubt shaking with fear. He realized a second later that he might not be smart to try and tell a hyena off. He had reached the bottom of the stairs by this point and stood as Zuri finished descending.

She snorted when he asked why she did what she did. Even if she hadn't been in hyena form she would not have been eager to give him an explanation, in fact she would have just glared at most people, or given them some smart ass answer. The truth was if people were going to hate her for who and what she was, then she would at least make them fear and respect her. However her stomach was growling, and she rather liked Cub. It helped that he was completley unthreatening in every single way. She yipped at him and rubbed against him as she headed for the door.

A few people eyed her a little strange, but no one really said anything. It wasn't a comon site for people to be in there animal form inside the school, but it also was not a too uncomon site either. She continued almost wagging her tail and waitin on Cub to get to the door. Once he opened it she literally ran outside and then proceeded to run around him in circles excited to be outside and with someone that was willing to do something with her. Still she just hoped he didnt go back to being too afriad of her, for some reason she really didnt want that to happen.

She nuzzled him gently as they made there way away from the school moving slowly but surley towards the small cafe. She had never been there before, but then it had only been a couple of days since she arrived on the island. She kept very close to Cub, as they walked just enjoying his company and having him around. She knew he probably wouldnt stick around long, but she'd enjoy it for the moment. She let out a low rumble of pleasure as they walked despite the fact that the sky was still very very black it felt good to be out of doors again. She would have gone crazy if she had had to spend anymore time stuck inside with nothing to do. It would have been one thing if she had had a laptop, or game system to mess around with but she didnt at all.

Still at least it seemed she'd managed to make at least one friend. She wasnt sure if he would stay a friend but she kind of hoped he would.

Zuri seemed to dismiss his question. She didn’t seem to care that she’d scared the girl. Theo looked back up the staircase, after the girl, hoping she was ok. He wondered if Zuri would’ve done the same to him if they had met like that. Would she have growled at him if they had passed on a staircase, if someone else had been in his place. He would have been terrified if he’d seen her for the first time as a hyena and she had acted that way to him, he would have done the same as the girl and ran.

Theo stuck close to Zuri, stroking her head a little when she rubbed against him. She was being quite affectionate. It seemed strange to Theo, though he didn’t know what Zuri was usually like, having only met her once. She had changed a lot in the short time he’d spent with her. Maybe she was just like that. Theo had mixed feelings about her. She was a little scary and intimidating, and she didn’t seem to care all that much about what people thought, or what they felt. In this way she was pretty much the opposite of Theo, who was feeling weird being looked at strangely by the people they passed. Theo never did work out whether Zuri was just messing with him or being serious when they were playing poker. Serenity had probably been doing it for fun but he didn’t know about Zuri. And then after she had shifted into her animal form she had started acting differently again. Maybe it was just an act or maybe not. Theo wasn’t sure how he felt about her really.

Zuri was a little ahead of him when they reached the door leading outside, and seemed very eager to get out. Theo knew how frustrating it could be when in animal form, being unable to do simple things like open doors. When he opened the door for her she shot off, running outside. Theo followed slowly, amazed at how much she seemed to have changed when she shifted. He began to think she was putting it on again, pretending to act this way. As he made his way outside the hyena started running around him. It was a very strange experience to have a hyena running around you playfully. After a while though she calmed down and moved close and nuzzled him as they made their way down to the café. Theo hoped they would allow Zuri in her animal form. He had never visited before, having only arrived a short while ago. The sky was dark and stormy looking, and Theo looked up at it nervously for a moment. Zuri was close by though, and he stroked her head a little more, partly because she seemed to like it and partly to comfort himself.

Looking back down at Zuri, Theo tried to work out a way of phrasing his speech so she could respond. He would probably have to keep to simple questions, yes-no answers and such. ”Have you been here before?” he asked, ”Do you think they’ll let you in and… will you be eating regular food or….” he trailed off as he reached the end of the sentence. He didn’t really know what he was going to say, he just hoped she would say she was, he didn’t feel like asking them for raw meat or whatever.
