After running on the beach she was a little tired. She wandered around the campus till she found what looked to be a lounge area. She was wearing a pair of short black shorts and a blue t-shirt that showed off her belly button. It managed not to look too worn, which was quite a feat.
She sighed as she looked around there were several people. She almost wished Serenity was among them. Even if she didnt exactly get along with her roomate. Well she wasn't sure if she'd get along with her roommate anyway.
Her hair was brushed and straight behind her as she took a seat on one of the smaller couches. She eyed the others in the room her eyes flickering about the room. None of her anxiety showed on her face. She looked at the tvs nothing interesting seemed to be on.
She pulled out her candy bar and started munching as she fiddled with the deck of cards in her pocket. "Soo anyone up for a game of cards, or something on the xbox 360?" She asked. Her foot was tapping impatiently she was one of those people incapable of just sitting still or not doing something. Her tone was interested but not overly warm or friendly.
"I'm Zuri, or Z to friends, which means right now Zuri." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. She began shuffling her deck of cards. It was evident that she was very good at it, especially for a 15 year old. She had a light smirk on her face as she hoped someone would take he offer for cards.
"Heck if any of you have money you want to lose some extra money I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands." She said as she dextorously cut the deck two then three times.
Her dark eyes were mosly unreadable as she sat there with her cards she seemed really self contained. But someone who was more perceptive would be able to tell that she was incredibly lonely. Someone good at noticing things would see just how worn her tennis shoes were. She crossed her legs and leaned back just watching the others for a bit to see if anyone would take her up on her offer. If no one would she'd probably just leave and go to the beach again, or explore more of the area around the campus.

x A small boy sat alone in the lounge area, doodling on a piece of paper. Theodore had been talking to some other kid about his age. Not for ling though, the other boy had said h had stuff to do and left not too long ago. Theo wasn’t sure whether the kid really had stuff to do or just didn’t really like him. He had seemed sincere, and Theo hoped he was but sometimes he could come off as annoying. He didn’t mean to be, he just sometimes didn’t know when to back off or slow down. He was working on that though.
He had been sat there five or ten minutes, unable to decide if he should go and do something else or just hang about here for a little longer. He decided on staying where he was, partly because he was already there and partly because there were plenty of other people always coming in and out. Someone entered, as if on cue, and looked around the room before settling down on a sofa taking out a candy bar of some kind. She then went on to introduced herself to everyone in the room and ask if anyone wanted a game of cards or something. She was obviously a very direct person, someone who didn’t mess about.
She asked anyone if they wanted to bet on a game. Theo didn’t have much money and even if he did he didn’t know how to play. Still, even as she sat there shuffling her cards, Theo thought he saw her hoping that someone would come over. Maybe she was lonely, maybe he was imagining things. Either way, if didn’t look like anyone else was going to take her up on any of her offers.
He stood and made his way over to the girl, who was a few years older than him, folding the piece of paper he’d been doodling on and slipping it into his pocket. He didn’t know why. It wasn’t important and he probably wouldn’t be bothering with it ever again, he just didn’t like leaving it lying around. He would probably end up putting it in the bottom of his bag or throwing it in the bin and never seeing it again.
He reached where the girl was sat and flopped down into the seat next to her. He kept a bit of difference in case she wasn’t really lonely at all, and anyway, she was a little scary. But he’d never let that stop him before. ”Hullo, I’m Cub,” he said to the girl. He almost always introduced himself as cub, he liked it more than his real name and he’d grown so used to people around his own age calling him that. ”I don’t know how to play but I don’t think anyone else wants to. Maybe you could teach me?

She looked at the kid for a few minutes. She seriously thought about making a comment about little kids playing kid games but thought better of it. He at least looked harmless, which had some of her instincts on edge. Because someone that looked harmless was either hiding something, or prey. She also could not tell what kind of animal he was. "Well Cub your the second person that I've met that needs to learn how to play real games." She said with a predatory smile. "Poker is simplicity itself some of the variants not so much." She said as she continued to shuffle the cards. She leaned back a little seemingly relaxed but her eyes continually looked about the room, her expression not giving away anything of what she was actually thinking or feeling. She was secretly pleased that someone at least had come over. She took the cards out and flipped them over. "Depending on the game being played is how many cards you get in your hand. Typically you play without the jokers but sometimes they are used as a wild card. You want to collect cards in sequential order or like cards. The lowest hand is two of a kind." She said pulling out two 2s. "That is the lowest hand for points in the game. She then pulled out the other two 2s "That however would normally be a winning hand unless someone had 4 of a kind in a higher number, or a royal flush." A straight will beat a two of a kind but not 3 of a kind or a flush." She said taking the 3 of hearts 4 of clubs 5 of diamonds and 6 of spades. "Thats a straight. "A flush would be if they were all the same suit. A royal flush is all face cards of the same suit. Royal straight is just like a straight but with face cards. The simplest game is five card draw, we each start with 5 cards, you can discard up to 4 to get new ones once. When playing for money it goes around the table with people either raising the stakes, folding, or keeping the stakes the same. With cards it depends as much on the ability to read your opponent as it does the tactics with cards, or luck." She made sure to take her time and talk slowly to him "So understand the basic concepts kiddo?" She said a half smile on her face, as she talked the smile not quite reaching her eyes.

x Theo got a little nervous when the girl looked at him. She almost seemed to be sizing him up. She seemed quite predatory, which didn’t help his nerves. He gave a sheepish smile, hoping his nerves weren’t showing. He wasn’t really worried, just a little anxious, he wasn’t sure what animal she could become but he was certain it was some kind of predator.
She seemed nice enough when she spoke to him, but he couldn’t get rid of that little feeling of nervousness that she gave him. He hoped the game was as easy as she made it out to be, he didn’t want to make too many mistakes. He knew a lot of the strategy in poker involved tricking your opponent or throwing them off guard, and he wasn’t sure whether he would be able to pull it off. It would be fun to try anyway, and he probably wasn’t going to have any chance of beating her on his first try. He would concentrate on learning the rules first and then on strategy.
Zuri explained the rules slowly and simply, she seemed to be making sure he understood everything. Which he did, more or less. He was pretty sure it would make more sense when he was actually playing. It seemed like a strange game to him, he didn’t really understand it. Not the rules but the idea of the game. He couldn’t really explain it but it seemed weird to him. But then again most gambling did. H didn’t see why people would risk such amounts of money on chance. Especially games where the outcome was purely decided by chance, like some casino games. In truth he didn’t know much about gambling but from what he did know it was a waste of time. Games like poker had some skill involved and could be played without money but wouldn’t it end up kind of like playing pass the parcel but with nothing in it at the end. But then, aren’t a lot of games like that?
When Zuri had finished explaining she asked him whether he understood everything. He replied with a nod. ”I think so, yeah.” he said. What she said had made sense to him but he would need to try a game to see if he really understood. ”So, is there anything else I need to know? I thought poker was really complex, but then maybe I was hearing about one of those variants you were talking about. He noticed here smile again. It was more comforting than her previous one but something about it still unnerved him a little. [/blockquote]

She shook her head at the kid. "With poker confidence is the main thing." She tilted her head to the side as if she was thinking about something, and she was. She was thinking of the times on the street when she had had to fight to keep what little good things she had, and just as importantly the times she did not have to fight because she had made sure the other people did not want to. "That advice goes for most things. The more confident you seem the more people will pay attention to you and take you seriously." She said as she cut and dealt the deck. She decided to take it a little easy on him and made sure he had a decent hand. Not an out and out winning hand but a decent one. She gave him 3 cards in a row in different suits. She didnt bother cheating for herself though, because that would have defeated the purpose. She seemed to relax just a little bit more as she dealt the cards. It was as if she was becoming a little more comfortable with him. Part of it was just how harmless he looked. She knew she could intimdate him if she needed to. The rest of it though was that he was cute and helpless, and well that brought out some of her protective instincts as well. To make conversation as she studdied her cards she asked him. "So what kind of animal do you turn into anyway? Me I turn into a Hyena." She said with a rather toothy grin that managed to convey amusment and I can turn into something big enough to eat you if you manage to make me mad. But I can also eat anyone who tries to hurt you if I decide your a friend. Within a few seconds though the moment passed and her face was the same unreadable mask. She wasn't even tapping her foot or fidgeting at all. Calmly she threw three cards into the discard pile and drew three more. "Your turn munchkin." She said keeping her eyes on him. She knew what he had in hand not how he'd use it though. Of course with a little luck she could still win, but she was trying to teach him how to play rather than win and it wasn't like they were playing for money. Age or not, experience or not had there been money on the line she would have had no trouble cleaning him out. She wasn't sure if she was annoyed, pleased or amused by his fear of her. On the one hand he seemed nice on the other it seemed natrual that people would be afraid of her wether she liked it or not that was a reaction most people had to her. Still at least he was still willing to sit with her and that was something.

x The was confused for a second when Zuri shook her head at him. What could he have gotten wrong? Everything was cleared up when she spoke though. He needed to be more confident. In truth Theo wasn’t a very confident person, he was the kind of person who liked someone to guide him or lead the way. At least when doing something new. But with a game like this you had to learn on your own and being confident wasn’t something you could be taught. He looked up at the girl. Her head was tilted a little to one side, almost as though she was lost in thought for a minute. Then she spoke again. Theo knew she was right. Confidence was a useful quality to have. Maybe she could help him be more confident at some point. For now though, he was on his own. You can’t really have your opponent giving you pointers. He nodded at Zuri to show he understood. ”OK, I’ll try to be more confident,” he said. Wait, that wasn’t a very confident sentence was it. No matter, it was something to work on. Zuri dealt the cards out expertly,Theo watched her hands move in what seemed to be extremely practiced motions. She must be quite good, he thought. But he didn’t know why. After all, playing cards had little to do with messing around with the deck… or did it? Either way he was soon dealt a hand and, from what he had been told, it was quite a good one. He noticed that he had a slightly puzzled frown on his face, though e wasn’t quite sure how long it had been there. Either way it would look weird if he changed his expression now, like he was bluffing. He decided to stick with the frown. Maybe it would throw her of guard or something. He wasn’t sure, he would see how things went. Zuri was talking again, asking him what his animal was. He looked up at her as she told him she was a Hyena. The comment was accompanied by a confusing grin. Theo wasn’t sure whether it was intimidating or comforting. He decided he preferred comforting, and hoped that’s how it was intended. She still made him nervous though. ”I can shift into a fennec fox,” he said simply, realizing how small and helpless he really was compared to this girl. Most people he’d met had bigger animal forms than him, but there was something about Zuri that made him feel that she wouldn’t hesitate to attack him. He glanced down at his cards again and when he looked back Zuri’s face was unreadable. She must play poker a lot. Before long she had thrown three of her cards away and gotten new ones, telling him it was his turn. She seemed kind enough, calling him things like kiddo and munchkin, but Theo still couldn’t put himself at ease. He nodded rather than answering properly, and considered what he should do with his hand. In the end he decided to discard the two that didn’t fit, and draw two more. He half felt that he should have kept one of them, but it was too late now. And anyway, he thought, you need to be confident and not second-guess yourself. He looked up at Zuri again, partly to see what they did next and partly because he had a strange thought that she was stalking him with her eyes, like prey. A crazy thought popped into his mind. Playing poker with his life as the prize. This presented another question. ”What happens if one player wants to back out? Like, if their hand is bad or something?” He tried to make it sound like he was asking purely out of interest and not because he wanted to back out. [/blockquote]

She laughed at his expression. It was the first out and out laugh she had had in a long time. It was a rich hearty laugh as she flicked back her hair. "Oh relax will you I don't eat kids." She said still chuckling.
"Yes you can bow out of the game it's called folding, and usually its done when you have crappy cards and cannot bluff your opponent. But since we are just playing for fun and not money or even chips no reason to fold. Unless you'd just rather play something else, or do something else. What do you usually do for fun around here?" She asked him. Her dark eyes seemed to almost sparkle with amusment.
She found him rather amusing absolutley helpless but funny. And really his attitude towards her was rather flattering in a certain way. Yeah he did seem to be afraid and nervous, but if she was to judge him she'd just asume he was rather nervous in general.
"Look the trick is to at least seem calm even if you aren't. Someone who realy wants to hurt you is much more likely to target you if you seem like an easy target. Even if you really are nervous and afraid do not act like it or let them know."
For a second her eyes were distant as she remembered some of the darker moments of her months on the street. Having her best jacket stolen when she didn't know what she was doing, pawning her computer for almost peanuts because she didnt want to haggle more over the price.
She shook her head breaking herself out of the reverie. She glanced at her cards, a pair of jacks and pair of eights. She frowned a bit. She didnt think she had gone over two pairs with him. Oh well would be a learning experience for him either way.
"So basically it's up to you I'm not going to make you continue playing if you don't want to." She said with another light smile. She crossed her legs and put her elbows on the table. She put her hands on her fist as she just looked at him a wry smile on her face. She wasn't sure why she enjoyed teasing him but she really did. Maybe because it was so easy to make him nervous. And she had to admit he looked rather cute, in a little kid way when he was nervous.

x Theo most have looked more nervous than he’d thought, his expression prompted a laugh from the older girl. The comment that followed made him relax a bit, though he hadn’t seriously thought she would attack him, well, not really. Hopefully it was just an expression and she didn’t actually eat anybody, either way it was relieving to know he wasn’t a target. He wasn’t sure he liked being called kid all that much, but then it was still better than his full name and anyway she was only being friendly. He gave her a little smile. ”That’s good, I’m not a fan of being eaten.” He said. The light tone of his voice showed that he was joking, though in reality he wouldn’t much like to be eaten either. As she explained the rules to him he listened carefully. He had never been that good at lying or bluffing so he expected he’d be folding a lot if he played for real. Though since there was nothing to lose in this particular game there was no reason to fold, like she said. He wasn’t sure how to respond when she asked if he wanted to do something else. He wasn’t really sure what else there was to do. He didn’t really think he’d find poker fun, he’d given it a try but part of him just hadn’t wanted Zuri to be sat alone and part of him hadn’t wanted to stay sat by himself. He gave a no-committal shrug in answer. ”I don’t really know what else there is to do. I’ve not been here long. I’ve just been figuring out where things are and stuff, haven’t done that very well either.” he said with another little smile. She seemed amused by him. In all truth he didn’t know what to think of that. There was a fine line between just being amused by someone and laughing at their expense. He was certain she wasn’t trying to scare him on purpose. In fact she seemed to be trying to do the opposite if anything. Theo listened to Zuri’s explanation. Stay calm even when you aren’t? She said it like it was easy. Theo didn’t find it easy to mask his emotions. He had tried but it didn’t often work. ”I don’t know how. I mean, I’ve tried but it never really works. Maybe you could help?” Looking up at her again he saw her eyes had gone a little, like she was thinking. She shook her head and glanced back down at her cards. Theo didn’t really know whether to keep playing or not. As she shifted position he looked down at his own hand again. He noticed he had 4 – 7 in different sets. He thought back to when she’d explained the rules. His hand wasn’t bed, if he remembered right. Not good either but still, as Zuri had said, there was nothing to lose by playing. ”How about we finish this hand and then maybe do something else? If there is anything else to do. He accompanied this comment with another little smile, hoping she wouldn’t mind. [/blockquote]

She quirked another smile at him. Part of her was a little uneasy with just how much she liked the kid already. It was a similiar reaction to the one she'd had with Rochette. What was wrong with her?" She didn't let it show though as she leaned in close to him and stroked his cheek. "I'm sure we could come up with something to do if you don't like cards." She said with a wink.
She thought he looked adorable when he was confused, or embarassed, in a kidish kinda way he soo wasn't her type at all, but a little harmless flirting never really hurt anyone did it. Besides she was bored and teasing him was amusing. She didn't let her think that it was because she was incredibly lonely.
"So what is interesting to do around here?" She asked him looking in his eyes as she looked over her cards again. Poker really wasntt much fun without something to bet. "Let's see I bet you one lunch out that I have a better hand than you do." She said smiling up at him. A lunch out wasn't much but it was something anyway. She leaned back a confident smile on her face. It was weird how close his personality reminded her of a shy little fox. She wondered if everyones animal said something about their personalities, and what that meant about her.
"So do you know anything about how it is that we can become animals? I mean that's something straight out of tv or something." She asked really wanting an answer from someone who grew up around shifters. She would have asked Serenity or Rochette when she was with them but Rochette did not seem to be all there and her roommate seemed to know as little as she did, which was saying something. The kid might or might not know, but if he got suspicious of why she didnt know anything shed come up with something to tell him.
"Well once we are done with this hand why don't you show me around the island once we are done? I'm sure you know all the interesting places to go." She said putting a slight emphasis on interesting making sure he could take it a couple of different ways. She really didn't know why she enjoyed discomfitting him but she did.

x Theo returned the smile that was sent his way. He was beginning to feel a little more comfortable around Zuri. Just a little though. His relative comfort only lasted for a moment though, as she leaned in to speak to him again, stroking his cheek. He couldn’t stop himself from blushing a little, he was totally unaccustomed to being treated like this. He had no idea how to react. ”Er…” He started. He was planning to say ‘like what’ but was a little afraid of getting an answer. He just decided to not answer at all and focus on the game. He still had a little frown on his face, only now there was a reason for it being there. He didn’t understand why Zuri was behaving like this. Was she just playing with him? Or was it something else? He wasn’t sure he liked any of the possible answers. He was feeling nervous and uncomfortable again.
She asked him another question. It took a minute for him to get his thoughts together and formulate a reply. ”Er… I… Um, don’t really know… I only got here a little while ago. But there’s the beach and stuff, and I think there’s an arcade or something… I don’t really know.” Theo hadn’t had much time to explore around the island, having too much to do. He had been planning to take it slow and find out what was what day by day. Her next sentence didn’t do much to help his thoughts. They were already all over the place chasing possibilities, wondering what she was doing, and now he was just confused. And embarrassed. He wasn’t sure what to say. He knew he couldn’t ignore it this time. ”Erm… o-okay,” he said finally. He wasn’t really sure he wanted to say yes, but he didn’t want to refuse either. It would seem rude, like he didn’t like her. And anyway, he was a little afraid of what she’d do if he said no.
Zuri seemed really relaxed and confident. He wasn’t sure if she was sure she was going to win, bluffing or just having fun teasing him… if she was teasing. Theo hoped she was, even tough it made him nervous. Her next question seemed reasonable enough. He wished he had an answer for her but, not having any real experience of shifting outside his own, he didn’t know much. ”I’m sorry, I don’t know. It just happened to me. My Mum was a shifter, but she died when I was six, she never told me anything.” He kept his sentence short and blunt, he didn’t want to sound rude but it wasn’t something he wanted to go into detail about.
Zuri was asking him to show her around. It was a simple comment, but the way she said it made Theo uncomfortable again. He Hesitated before answering and, yet again, when his answer came it was faltering and betrayed how nervous he was. ”Well… I guess… I could show you around a bit… I’ve only seen a bit myself. But I guess I could.” He wasn’t entirely thrilled at the idea of taking Zuri around the Academy on his own, especially since he hadn’t memorized where most places were yet.

Serenity was not very sure about her roommate, she believed she failed epically at poker, and would never play that again, even if Zuri wanted her to, that was enough, she didn't understand a word of it, but she still had it in her mind that she was gonna get Zuri a laptop she needed one, if she would take it, she seemed like a bitch, but nice at the same time, trust Serenity to make a confusing relationship with someone. After a while both of them had mellowed out, but there was still something that Serenity didn't trust about her, that was normal, the girl was new to her.
She had been out, doing, whatever she could do, just out of boredom and insanity, it wasn't her favorite time of year, summer, there was nothing to do, and her body told her to shift and run like she wanted to do right than, but she knew she couldn't, she didn't want to risk losing control, she had studied an online map of the school and had almost memorized it, but she knew she was going the wrong way to get back to her dorm.
She sighed lightly, as she took another wrong turn and ended up in the lounge, she blinked, Zuri was there, and so was some boy whom she was talking to. Her mind was spinning approach, or high tale it out of there? Running away was never the answer, though it sounded fun at this point in time, she grinned to herself as she looked around, and noticed the boy wasn't completely comfortable, but that didn't help much because she was spunky she wanted something interesting, and she wasn't sure if this was the time to do that.
She wore a simple pink bikini top, a pair of jeans, and a white over coat that buttoned up the front, but she left it open, it always amused her, to see what hot guys thought of her, of course, it was always good at teasing people, and she hope Zuri would go along with how she was about to act, or else, her plan would be ruin for eternity.
She walked over to Zuri and tried putting her arm around her shoulder, a sly grin on her face.
"Hey Zuri, who's your cute little friend here? Quite a looker if you ask me?" She winked at the boy whom she knew not, but she was gonna have fun that was obvious, she just hoped that Zuri would play along, and let her act how she was so she could help weird the boy at, even more, she would enjoy today, even if her roommate was an ultimate bitch. She noticed her rather confusing roomate coming in. She didn't know why the girl assumed she failed at poker when for a beginner she had done rather well. When the girl put her arms around her shoulder she tensed up at first but almost unconciously brought her hand up to stroke her roommates hair. The expression on her face was one of surprise, longing, fear and anxiety all mixed together, it was only there for a few minutes though.
Her emotions were racing like a rollercoaster. Serentiy felt so good there almost like Kathryne had, but that was over wasn't it? Could she trust herself like that with someone else again? She wasn't sure. Part of her wanted to throw the other woman across the room snarl at cub and just run away. Another part of her wanted, something she couldnt even think in words.
She took a deep breath and smiled the flirty smile again. "Oh this is cub he turns into a fox, which I bet is absolutley adorbable. We are just playing one hand, like you I think he's a little intimidated by the game." She said chuckling flashing her teeth at Cub. "After all it couldn't be little old me he's scared of could it?"
Through all this she kept touching Serentiy even though part of her wanted to let go the part that craved even light contact was winning out. She did manage to prevent herself from letting out a low moan or yip of pleasure though, which given how much she wanted to was a feat of self control.
"Well I'm going to raise the bet. Loser buys lunch for all three of us, and afterwards has to show off their animal form." She said with a grin. She really wanted to see what he looked like as a fox. Besides her roommate was right he was a little cute, in a little kid sort of way. He seemed way too innocent for someone who could stay with her as a boyfriend, though it was fun flirting with him.
She leaned over closer to him, moving her hand down to Serenitys back. With her other hand she ruffled Cub's hair a bit. "Wow your hair is really curly isn't it? A girl could really enjoy running her hands through it." She said with a sly little wink. She would bet anything that no one had ever really flirted with him before, which was a shame because he was rather cute.

x Theo was a little shaken by Zuri. He certainly hadn’t expected this when he had gone over to talk to her. He had just been hoping to meet someone new, spend some time doing something new. And now someone else was approaching. Another girl, maybe a little older than Zuri, had arrived and put her arm round her shoulder. Theo saw that Zuri seemed a little confused for a minute or so, but at the same time moved her arm up and started stroking the new arrival’s hair. Theo had no idea who this girl was but it seemed her and Zuri were good friends. The new girl was asking who he was. And saying he was cute. He couldn’t help blushing again. It didn’t help that she followed it up with a wink. Theo had never thought of himself as cute.
Zuri joined in, giving a smile before introducing him. Theo didn’t believe that Zuri thought it was the game that was intimidating him. He felt quite sure that she was acting like this only because she got a reaction from him. He couldn’t be sure though. And he didn’t want to say anything, but now this new arrival had appeared he felt slightly like they were ganging up on him, even though she hadn’t really done much. Still, he gave a little smile, as though agreeing with her. Then Zuri decided to raise the bet. Loser buys lunch for three and shows their animal form. He didn’t like the sound of that. Especially since Zuri could become a hyena. If he won he might be a little scared. And if he lost he would definitely be scared. He shrank quite a bit to become a fox, and would be pretty much at the mercy of Zuri and her friend. Although in the worst-case scenario his animal form would be better for getting away from the girls. He would be faster and more agile, and able to fit through gaps they couldn’t. Unless the other girl had a small animal form.
Theo forced his thoughts back in to line yet again. His mind had ran away from him a little there, chasing a possibility that would probably never become reality. He still waned to say no, to just quit now and maybe try and get away, but two thoughts stopped him. The first was that it would be rude to just say no and leave. The second was the thought that they might not like him trying to get away and decide to stop him. He thought his thoughts might be going off on their own again there but he couldn’t help it. He was panicking just a little. He gave a little nod. ”Ok, I guess so.”
At that moment Zuri decided to make things worse by leaning forward and ruffling his hair. It was the comment after though that made him the most uncomfortable. He could feel his heart pounding, could hear it beating. He didn’t really know what to say to that, so he stayed silent. He was starting to wish that he had just stayed sat in his corner. Zuri’s friend would have turned up and she wouldn’t have been alone.

Serenity laughed lightly, he was cute, and he would be an easy target, the fact that he was so much younger than her made it ten times as fun as it would've been with a kid her age, she smiled at the boy, his small blush almost making her laugh at how easy it was, but she would be nicer than that, it was just who she was, well, maybe not, but she would play nice girl for a little bit, she always had a devious plan going in on her mind, and she was sure harassment was against school rules, all the better, and she would play sweet and innocent for a while.
As Zuri embraced her back, her natural instinct was to pull back, as a wild look came into her eyes, but she resisted it, that's all she could've done, and that's all that she would do, she wanted to stick around for this one, and see how much amusement would come out of this day. Maybe she'd learn a little more about her roommate and manage to plot against her, or with her, if she was just as devious as Serenity was, than they would be an ultimate duo, and probably get into more trouble than not. But she was always up for a little excitement, it's not like they were gonna kick them out, they might end up shifting on Television or something and all of them would be exposed.
She moved again this time over to Cub, with a grin that only one as devious as her would know as, just wait and see, mostly read in her eyes, she tried keeping a more charming smile on her face than a grin though she knew she was giving that devious grin as she kneeled slighty beside yet behind Cub, she gave him a hug from behind and rested her chin on his shoulder.
"Zuri, that's not all that fair, he's just a beginner, how about, I buy the meal, and than loser has to stay in shift form for a day if they can help it? I mean, a full twenty-four hours, not just until we run out of sunlight, which in reality we never do."
She grinned, she didn't have a problem with buying lunch as long as she wasn't in the middle of anything, that could get her in trouble, with her shifting, any other kind of trouble she loved. Of course she would, she loved thrills.
"Besides can't you tell that poor Cubby is a little overwhelmed, poor boy, two girls and just him, he's still so young, he's probably never had so much happen. Foxxy can't be too overwhelmed or else he might pass out, we don't want that, now do we?"
She smiled, wanting to be a little more touchy with the boy, but knowing when to cut off on the harassment for fear of a teacher seeing, she really didn't want to spend what was left of her miserable summer with a teacher, who did.
"But it's a pleasure to meet you Foxxy, I'm called Serenity, I didn't expect to have such cute boys here." As was her nature, she couldn't help but talk to him seductively and trail her fingers down his arms, trying to give him goosebumps, if he already didn't have them. She looked over to Zuri with a playful grin, as she pressed herself a little closer to Cub without it being considered a sexual gesture by any teacher that may or may not have seen. "Do you like those odds Zuri? Foxxy?"Yes she had started to call Cub, Foxxy, after first calling him Cubby, poor boy would have ten million nicknames she could use, but she liked Foxxy, the next step would be puppy. She was having fun, and even Zuri would've had a hard time telling if Serenity was just messing around or being serious, though for the most part, she was very, very, serious

She stood up a bit as she laid her cards out. "Well sounds good to me, I don't mind going hyena sometimes." She said with a rather feral grin, and a pet fox would be fun to play with for a day." She said with a slight wink at Cub. She giggled as she laid her cards out. "Jacks over eights two pair." She said a little smuggly. "And he really shouldnt be that intimidated, as cute as he is." She said with another wink. "I mean you can't be as innocent as you seem." That same amused sparkle was in her eyes, as she glanced between the two of them. Her mouth literally almost wattered as she took in the cute bikini that her roommate was in.
"Well if your buying lunch Ill have to order something rare." What she wanted to say and would have asked if Cub had not been there is if she was on the menu instead she kinda said it with her eyes.
"So what do you have Cub?" She aksed him still smirking. Part of her wanted to step closer to her roommate but part of her was also wondering if the girl was just messing with her and the little kid. She might have to just ask later or feel her out as the day went on. She had to admit the girl did look good in a bikini, and it seemed like she had a sense of humor, who would have guessed that from the previous night? Certaintly not her. She was pretty sure that she could be the kids hand, she had engineered a decent hand but not a great one for him. And two pairs while not being the most winning hand ever was better than most of the ones he could have.
She kept staring at him with that little hafl smile on her face. She did lean over the table. "If your really not comfortable you can just leave if you want hun, but you'd miss out on all the fun. Trust me we won't actually hurt you." Mentally she was adding well we wont hurt you much and you will enjoy it probably. She just wondered how far she could push him.
She did take one finger and gently stroke his cheek with it just the lightest little touch almost like a feather.
