SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE It was little wonder that Sieffre himself had come down with something after falling in to the ocean. Sick barely covered what he was feeling, in his mind anyways, it was something like having been squished and then some how returned to his regular body. The coughs that he was stuck with felt like he was trying to remove his internal organs with every heavy sounding cough. Breathing hurt at times, mostly if he sighed, and there was the fever. But otherwise he was feeling rather well for someone who had nearly come to the end of his life in a rather painful way. The one thing that he hated more than anything was the fact he barely left his dorm room and for a guy who was used to doing something, anything, in order to keep from getting bored.
His laptop was open on his bed, on his pillow actually, having gone in to power-saving mode, the owner of the bed having fallen asleep with his head resting on his arm a good deal of time ago. Curled up on his side on top of the covers seeing as before he had fallen asleep he had felt a bit like his skin was boiling. A soft mumble escaped his lips as he shifted his body stretching out a bit on his bed and twisting in an attempt to get comfortable again. Only to shoot in to a sitting position when the laptop clattered to the floor taking more than a few moments to realize where exactly he was. Back in his dorm room, safe, not clawing his way to the surface of water so cold it was actually painful. Blinking he drew a shallow breath reaching over the side of his bed to pick up his computer and make sure the thing was still intact. It was bad enough having to tell his father that he'd lost his cell phone to the ocean during a hurricane. Needless to say his father had sounded about ready to chew nails by the time he had disconnected the internet call.
Closing the laptop he set it back down on his pillow and pushed his body closer to the edge of the bed so he could sit there. Blindly reaching out for the water bottle that he'd stuck beside his pillow, seeing as he really wasn't going far, feeling the lukewarm plastic he gave a small frown before he twisted off the top and downed half the bottle. Twisting the cap back on he dropped it back on to his bed feeling it come to a stop against his thigh. Dimly he could still hear the sound of rain pounding and the howl of wind although he tried his best not to think of the storm raging outside. Or the fact that once it was over he probably wouldn't be able to do much of anything really. Well only if he was still feeling unwell but he highly doubted the storm would last long enough for him to make a totally full recovery. A sudden shiver ran up his spine as the noise outside reached a crescendo sounding more like the rain and wind were trying to eat the building more than just regular elements. It was almost an after thought that he realized that yet again he felt like he was freezing rather than feeling like he'd been gracelessly shoved inside an oven.
With a soft grumble he got to his feet, breath hissing out as he did so, he was still sore from merely falling in to the ocean. But then no one ever really expected a dock to ever be a comfortable place to fall, anyways, so he did his best to ignore his various bruises scrapes and cuts. The easiest way to do that, of course, was to cover up as much skin as possible. Which was merely a red and black turtlenecked shirt and some track pants. He grabbed a sweatshirt, one that had mysteriously ended up by the door, and pulled it over his head messing up his hair still further.
"Should do something today..." He cleared his throat after the words only to loose to the urge to cough. Both of his hands covered his mouth as the coughing seized him.[/blockquote] ---------- Tagged: Felix Outfit: -- Word Count: 700 Images: Edited By Me Lyrics: Cinema Bizarre Layout: Mine OOC comment: Just let me know if I need to change anything. ^^

He sat staring out the window of his door. Well, not quite out the window, seeing as the blinds were down, the curtains were closed and a dresser that he had barely managed to shove across the floor alone had been pressed up against it. So he was actually staring at where the window had used to be. And while thunder and winds in the highest mph's possible drove along the world outside, Felix wasn't envisioning a storm outside that hidden window. He wasn't envisioning rain, or even a light spring shower. He was envisioning a cool evening back home in Arizona.
The view he saw was the view that had been out of his second story bedroom window. There was a pond down there, the green and yellow tail grasses stiff but happy. The little tree he and his brothers had planted when he was five had grown some, but was still tiny, still looked like it would die any summer, or any winter. The woods behind his house, his memory did it's best to make blurry, and yet cheerful, like the forest scenes from Bambi, before his mother died. He could see his dog laying in the scant shade provided by the side of the house, panting.
A blast of heavier rain against the side of the dorm building shocked him back to where he was...talking with Sieffre and Zander and Mel online. And going to bring Sieffre some flowers, seeing as he was sick. He looking back at the screen to see Sieffre's answer. "15 Jul 10, 12:15 AM, Sieffre: The purple ones, if you please. >> There's a ton of white in this particular room." He typed his reply: "15 Jul 10, 12:18 AM, Felix: I'll bring the purple ones ^^" He stood, glanced at the two thin vases of flowers on the breakfast table, favored the purple and pink one with a long look, and then scrounged a jacket to pull over his sweatshirt. Finally prepared, he picked up the vase and, cradling it in one arm, carefully opened his door, looked back to make sure everything was locked and otherwise safe, and then shut and locked the door behind him.
The world outside was horrible. But he was glad for the overhang, and made his way half wall-hugging, half shimmying, to Sieffre's dorm. He knocked on the door, hunching himself against it, then tried the locked handle vainly. Great. He flattened himself against the side of the wall beside the door, staring at the world outside which consisted of two feet of sidewalk and grass and bushes until solid sheet metal streaked from the sky. The rain flew so fast sideways, it was hardly worthy of the phrase "falling with style." Felix breathed heavily, not quite liking be trapped outside with flash flood written all over the scene.
His tennis shoes were already soaked through from puddles.

SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE He hated being sick and feeling so sluggish that just getting up to do much of anything was like a trail. As the coughing subsided he lent against the nearest piece of furniture, someone's dresser although he really didn't care enough to check whose it was, he drew another breath in and lowered his head waiting for the dizziness to pass by. Now that his waking mind was catching up he realized he had yet to talk to his Father rather he had tried to get a connection out of the school and the best he had done was get himself connected to the local chat room before the internet connection had failed. He raised his hands to his temples and rubbed at them. There was something that he was missing, and he knew it, but couldn't quite remember just what it was.
His eyes shot towards the door at the sound of someone knocking. Sieffre took a quick breath as he realized just what, or more specifically who, he had been forgetting. Granted when Felix had offered to bring him flowers Sieffre hadn't really expected that to happen. After all they were in the middle of a hurricane and from what he knew of the minx he wasn't exactly a fan of water. The door knob jiggling snapped him out of his thoughts. He practically threw himself at the door, really, and with shaking fingers unlocked it. Pulling the door open he automatically stepped out of the way so the other could get in as quickly as possible and allow him to fight the door against the wind and hopefully closed again. Putting his weight against the door he managed to slam it again and lock it once more. Just doing that had his breath coming in heavy pants. The air whistled through his lungs while he lent against the door, just breathing rather than saying anything for several moments.
"S... Sorry." Finally he pushed away from the door and walked towards his bed. True to his word the room was oddly empty for a place that should have been full of life, and three occupants, seemed to only have him living there. The walls were blank and everything was just standard for the schools dorm rooms. Sitting down on his bed he attempted to tame his hair in to something a bit less wild. "I... Didn't really expect you to come, I guess. Otherwise I would have unlocked the door."
He dropped his head looking at the floor rather than Felix and half wishing that he could just crawl in to some hole and die. After several moments he raised his head slightly and smiled. "Thank you for coming, though, it's very nice of you to... Go out in to the hurricane just to see someone." The fashion major smiled at the other young man's admission to liking flowers. Finally someone who understood a little bit. Most of his roommates, when he saw them, tended to be skeptical of his owning flowers. But they were a welcome thing to wake up to in the morning and eat next to. And it reminded him of home, when his mother had still lived with him. She had always had a pot of planted flowers on the breakfast table. "Actually, I'm pretty certain we have to attribute most of the hard work to the plant."
"Wow, you need to get out more." Then he stopped, realizing, both from his online experiences with Sieffre and from this encounter, shot as it was at this point, that the platinum blond wasn't the most social of all the butterflies at this school. So he took a moment to reorganize his thoughts and what he was going to say. "Or, even if you don't 'get out' you need to 'get in.' Do something." Or course, saying someone should do something was all well and good, but not very motivational or encouraging, or creatively stimulating... So Felix thought for another second of examples. "Like, I pull my guitar out and practice or make stuff up. Or sometimes I'll turn the radio up...really loud...and dance..."
He trailed off, a mischievous glint in his brown eyes, swiveling his head around for a radio, or an Ipod dock, or something... He spotted one likely looking radio, an old school one with a cassette slot in the front. It was sitting dejectedly on a bedside table next to an empty bed; safe to assume it wasn't Seiffre, likely another roommate's. He pushed himself up from the empty bed he had crashed in and ventured over to the radio, hesitantly turning the power knob and praying it would work. The speakers buzzed to life, a soft fuzzy drone, tuned to an empty station. He played with another dial until he picked up music. Classic Hawaiian groove flooded the room, softly at first, then louder as he cranked up the volume.
"Not that I think it's the best thing to dance to...I never did learn to hula..." Felix pondered this a moment, glanced at Sieffre for input, then changed the station anyway. "What sort of music do you like, Sieffre?"

SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE It was after he sat down that he realized that Felix was offering him the flowers, and a joke for that matter, with a smile he got off of the bed to take the flowers and vase from him. With a smile he ran a figure gently down one of the stems admiring the flowers before he took a few steps away to set the vase down on the nearest surface. Although he was not one to go outside, or even to the green house, he did enjoy nature at times. And the vase of flowers was beautiful in their own right and a welcome bit of colour in the otherwise dreary looking room. Absently he touched one of the blooms looking at it for a long moment.
"They are stunningly beautiful. Thank you." He lowered his hand and turned to look at Felix again. Sieffre had never really been the best at conversations by any stretch of imagination. He enjoyed listening to other people talk far more than hearing his own voice. With slight nervousness he pulled at one of the longer potions of his own hair, shifting back slightly, and trying very hard to come up with something to say other than continuing on about the flowers and how, secretly, grateful he was that at least for a short while he would have someone to talk to other than himself and the laptop.
He tilted his head to watch Felix as the other man spoke as always analyzing what was being said probably farther than he needed to. It was true that they had only really talked over the internet with a small picture representation of who they were beside their names, and Sieffre knew he came off as a different person over the internet, but really now that they had met in person they should do something. Other than stand and stare at each other like they had never seen another human being before. He returned to the edge of his bed."Your roommates are out too?" Sieffre shrugged after a moment and motioned to the bed opposite of his meaning that Felix could sit on if it he so wished. He pulled on the longer piece of hair again contemplating something for a moment. "I am kind of between room mates right now. One is leaving... And another one is coming here... Still leaves an empty bed though."[/blockquote] ---------- Tagged: Felix Outfit: -- Word Count: 402 Images: Edited By Me Lyrics: Cinema Bizarre Layout: Mine OOC comment: Just let me know if I need to change anything. ^^

"You make me jealous of the guy who planted them," Felix replied lightheartedly, words forming a joke his own mind never really intended to, nor understood he was making. The fashion major only understood that he wasn't much good with plants. He didn't kill them, but he could never get a seed to sprout. And all those sad, sad science projects and experiments ago had only been embarrassment and support to this ideal. So instead, for his years of normal high school before transferring here, he'd bought already sprouting plants off other students, since he was a master at keeping flora alive after it have been born.
So by this nature, he was quite attached to those flowers. And the ones back in his dorm. But he felt more comfortable giving them out than keeping them. It made conversation with the roomies awkward with a vase of purple sitting on the breakfast table between you. He wondered about getting new roommates...
Felix was vividly surprised that the pictures on his laptop chat always matched their owners. He'd just grown up believing that the online world was filled with people pretending, that to finally arrive at a place where only real people talked online was scary in it's own way. He kept expecting the people to resemble their pictures, not look exactly like him. It was gravity, in a way. Especially with so many beautiful and handsome people at this high school. It was a curious phenomenon, one that made him almost question what God had meant by creating this little island.
He allowed himself to be lead on semi-autopilot with Sieffre's gesture to the empty bed. Felix sat down slowly, checking to be sure he didn't sit on anything, then spun and leaned his back and head against the head board, one leg on bed, the other hanging off, right hand massaging his left shoulder. He hated rain for another reason at that moment. But he was glad of the long sleeved covering to hide that reason. "Yeah, the other guys I room with tend to be out all the time. More sporty and social butterflies, all that jazz." Felix glanced across the room to Sieffre where he sat on his own bed. "Sorry. So, what does one do, lonely, sick and pressed for stimulation? Anything I can do?" He looked Sieffre in the eye, smiling sincerely, trying to think of something else humorous to say or do...

SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE "I really love flowers. Just... Don't really see them much." Another smile as he got settled choosing to sit cross-legged on his own bed. He himself was never really one to have flowers in his room, mainly because one of his room mates before had allergic reactions to pollen, but it did not mean that he did not love them. And while he was outside he was not really paying attention to any of the plants given his fear, and the fact he was usually running, he still had yet to go down to the green houses themselves to check out the various plants. He glanced towards the flowers again in some indescribable way feeling a good deal better than before. Although he doubted it was the flowers that had done it more the fact that someone, anyone, was willing to come out in to a storm just to spend some time with him. Even if he was somewhat boring at the best of times. "You are the one that took care of it for it to grow in to such a beautiful plant. Someone else may have... Planted it but you are the one that helped it grow. And did the greater amount of work I believe." He watched Felix absently now a bit surprised that yet another person looked exactly like the little picture that showed up beside their names on the chatbox. In the back of his mind he guessed that Felix was attractive, it usually wasn't something he really thought about, what he did know was that the other males hair cut suited him and it was a rather interesting brunette hue. Made Sieffre wonder if the other boys natural hair colour was that or something else entirely. Not that dyes could really obtain the look of natural high lights and all that came with natural hair colours. At the question he merely shrugged at it. After all his days were mostly occupied by sleeping and waking up to wonder if he'd eaten anything before, eventually, falling asleep again. Occasionally the chat box was mixed in there as well usually with him falling asleep while on the chat box rather than anything else."Not much really." Sieffre tensed at the sound of something colliding with the side of the building but took a shallow breath and shook his head slightly. His previous calmness seemed gone though hidden under a sudden nervousness. Doing his best to try and remain as calm as possible. "Ignore the storm, sleep, chat on the box. If it weren't for the hurricane there would be more to do than just... Hide and wait for it to be over."[/blockquote] ---------- Tagged: Felix Outfit: -- Word Count: 431 Images: Edited By Me Lyrics: Cinema Bizarre Layout: Mine OOC comment: Getting longer. xD Sorry it took such a long time to reply. SIEFFRE DE SAUVETERRE * I'M STUCK - I'M LOCKED - I'M PARALYZED - THE GATE IS CLOSED - I'M LEFT OUTISDE "Managing to water with out giving it too much or to little is a feat on it's own too." Sieffre said after a moment tilting his head slightly as he spoke, looking at the plant out of the corner of his eye, he himself had a hard time keeping flowers alive. Along the lines of either watering them too much or too little on his part. But then he had never really had any one explain the best way to water a plant or how much water was sufficient but not enough to kill the poor thing. He knew not to water it while it was in direct sunlight though and that was about it really.
He chuckled lightly when Felix mentioned getting out more, the thought in it's self was kind of amusing, rather than taking offense to it he seemed to take it as more of a joke of sorts. He really didn't do much with his life at the best of times and the hurricane had only intensified that really. Before he had at least been able to go outside for a run rather than being completely stuck inside with out really being able to do anything. And being sick he generally didn't feel well enough to trapeze over to where they had the pianos to practice that. He did have one thing that when he was feeling well enough to play he did but there was only so much playing and practicing he could do before even that got boring.
"I have my cello over there..." He motioned slightly to the closed case that was leaning up against the wall. Sieffre shrugged after a moment though. He loved the instrument, not quite as much as the piano, but he just had not been up to playing anything lately at all. "But it can only be amusing for so long." "What type of guitar do you play? Electric or acoustic?" He watched curiously when Felix suddenly started to glance around the room. It only clicked in when he grabbed the old cassette player-radio thing that had been sitting on the table of the one bed that had been abandoned forever ago. Looking away for a moment he coughed a few times in to the crook of his arm. Taking a shallow gasp of air he shruged with Felix asked him about his taste in music. "I listen to just about anything, really. So no need to worry about that."[/blockquote] ---------- Tagged: Felix Outfit: -- Word Count: 430-ish.
