SA is my baby. I love it to death. Everyone here is super nice, not to mention amusing. We're like a big family and SA is our home. When I helped Marc create the site, I didn't expect it to get so large so fast. My little baby is growing up *sobs*. I love it here. We all have our tiffs on occasion, but, we make up in the end. Guests are always welcome and it seems they feel that way when they first join. SA rocks!

I've only been on the site for about three days now, and I already feel at home here. There is almost always someone on, day or night, to talk to. The community overall is a large improvement over what I have experienced in forums past, and I can honestly say this has grown to be one of my favorite forums! Everything is easy to pick up, even for someone who has never really role played a shifter role play before! Overall, this site is just freaking awesome. ~ Essy

So far I have to say its great, the people here are friendly, not like some sites I have been on and this site here their fantastically helpful. Although I am still new and yet to post any where, I feel already that I will love this site and want to stay for a long time. I had loads of help with my application some even going out their way to help with my pictures. All I can say is thanks guys, if not for you guys i probably would have given up on the first hurdle. This is one member who is vary happy

I think the first thing I noticed about the Shifter Academy ad when it appeared on one of my sites was the 400 word minimum. I stared at for a bit, said "Seriously?" and clicked the link. Now what had also been attractive was how new it was. That meant, small community. Small, nice, and safe community. I posted on the c-box saying that if I were to come back within the next 24 hours. I would definitely make an account.
I was only able to sty away for about two hours. From which point I noticed the member count had grown from 18 to 22. There was nothing that could make me go faster than to make an account. I recall that at one time we were getting 8 new members daily. And soon, our little community was now a very big community. However, one would be surprised to know that most everyone gets along. 100+ members aren't typical of board as old as this, but no matter who we get, we treat them like the same wonderful people that they are.
As for the 400 word minimum. I find it quite a help rather than a hinderance. My writing has improved significantly during the time I've been here. So far, my personal best is at 969 words (not including the header and footer coding).
Also, I actually met someone who lives in my general area because of this site, and for that, it's amazing.

When I first joined this site, it was merely because one of my friends told me I should. I hadn't really RPed before, but I fell in love with it after I joined here. It's really helped my writing, and is just a lot of fun in general. But this site felt different than any other RP site I had looked at: it didn't have too many members when I joined, and since I come from a small town, it felt homey, and that's what it is. It's kind of like a home away from home where I can just lose myself and forget any problems I might be having. I'm extremely glad I joined and I love this site!
