Choi was scared. Oh boy, he was so scared. Not only had it just been a week since he learned he could shift like his brother. (even though he wished he was a tiger too) He had been shipped away to come to the same school at the older male. Choi sighed and slowly wandered through the halls, he was worried since he hadn’t seen his brother yet. They spoke on the phone and Aoi said he was getting him some things for his room, Aoi knew what Choi liked. Bright colors, things out of the ordinary, just like Aoi. Like their cell phone cases. They both had the same phone since when Aoi got his he was able to get another, Aoi’s phone case was sparkly and bright pink, Choi’s was neon green. Sadly, Choi never did think he could pull off the really girly look like Aoi, since Aoi was pretty much a goddess. His older brother often said different, opinions were made for a reason, Choi guessed. Slowly he made his way to the room. 109. Oh, lord this was it. Knocking gently on the door and slowly stepped in, two people seemed to have already made themselves home and there was a empty bed just for him and a good amount of space. Good. Smiling he pulled his back pack off his back and sat on the bed. Aoi would have to help him buy stuff. Sighing softly, Choi moved and lied on the bed, kicking his shoes off and setting them in the corner, neatly. He hated dirty things, if it could be cleaned then you should clean it. It didn’t take long for him to hear and see someone walk through the door of the dorm room, Choi jumped up and bit his lower lip. It was another boy, his roommate? “H-Hello…” His had an accent, but it wasn’t as thick as his older brother’s, his English was a lot more easier to understand for the most part. He eye’d the boy. He was cute! Choi’s cheeks flushed a bit and he bowed, like he needed too. He wasn’t in China anymore! “I-I have a reason for being here! I’m your new roommate, Choi Park.” Slowly he held out his hand, he wasn’t sure if the other wanted to take it, but hey, worth a try! The boy was cute, he had small girly features, but was still clearly a boy, he seemed to be the same age as Choi, maybe a older? Also Choi was around three inches taller then the boy. Choi smiled gently, hopefully he was nice. That's what Choi needed, nice comfortable roommates who didn't want to get into fights and pick things out that where really their's and what not. No he didn't need that at all. He wanted friends, he hoped Aoi was making friends too. word count;;more then 400 xD outfit;;here! tags;;meeeelnotes;;Short >3< Sorry~ It will get better! ||| - -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - Mel sighed and sprawled out on the floor. Last night had been strange, kind of rough on him. Who knew that Zander felt like that? If his mother would've known he was all alone in his room doing nothing in the middle of the day, she would've been angry. But then again, mother wasn't here, Mel was free to do as he pleased. And what he wanted to do right now was to just mope and be alone. It would take something big to salvage the rest of the day.
He blinked and rubbed over his eyes in exasperation, clicked onto the c-box seeing nothing but the messages from a night ago reading 'Mel has logged off' and right above it, 'Seiffre has logged off' seeing those messages made him miserable for some reason. He wondered to himself is Seif was alright. He hadn't met him yet, so he made a point to try and make plans with him later on. Seeing as there was nothing to do he figured he'd just surf the internet, so Stumbleupon was the next site that popped up. It was the perfect thing to waste away a pointless day.
The first site he was brought to made his face screw up in confusion, yet at the same time, curiosity. The heading read 'Can you spot a male virgin by his ears?' He read on. It was a very short article starting that is a male still had little red dots on the backs of his ears he was a virgin. And said red dots would disappear after, well, he wasn't a virgin anymore. Mel cocked an eyebrow at the screen, was that true? He self-consciously felt the backs of his own ears. How could it be true? It didn't make sense, he wondered is he himself had the spots. Did Aoi? Did Zander? It made him want to check, but wouldn't it be a bit odd if he were to just grab either one and check behind their ears? Come to think of it.. did he have them?
It was enough to make him curious, he stood and ran to the bathroom. Trying to angle his head so that he could see, damn.. it was just too hard. His tongue poked out as he craned at moved his head in vain. Suddenly he heard the door open, he froze. Was Jacob back? He hadn't really met his roommate, he got the feeling he was kind of cold. But perhaps it was... he checked his pocket and took out a slip of paper that had been taped to their door a few days ago reading "NOTICE: This is a notice to let Room 109 know that they will be receiving another roommate in a short amount of time. Please welome your new roommate and prepare accordingly. Signed; Shifter Academy Dorm Management." the "109" was scribbled in with pen and a bit difficult to decipher. He made his way out of the bathroom as quickly as he could, still holding the slip of paper.
"H-hello?"
Mel blinked and looked at the boy, he was distinctly asian and had a certain quality about him that seemed unexpectedly familiar. But, heavens, was he cute!
“I-I have a reason for being here! I’m your new roommate, Choi Park." He dipped a l little bit as a bow.
Mel realized that he hadn't been speaking, rather he had just standing there and gawking like an idiot. He snapped back into reality and out of his train of thought as he heard the name."Did you say, 'Choi Park'?" He walked briskly over to his new roommate with a broad smile, "Really? That's fantastic! I know your brother!" Without really thinking he slipped his arms around Choi's neck, "It's so great that your here! I'm Mel!" He stepped back with a genuine smile, "I can't believe you're actually my roommate!"- -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - word count; 696 tag; Choi Park! notes; ccc; nuthin~ outfit; Lol bed clothes.

The boy was hugging him, this was an interesting way to greet your new room mate, smiling gently Choi happily hugged the boy back. Well now didn’t he feel guilty for thinking this boy might be mean or nasty, no he was totally wrong. This boy who was named Mel was nice and sweet and soft. For some reason it didn’t surprise him that he knew Aoi, who didn’t know his older brother really? He was happy the male had clearly made a friend and a good one at that. “You know my, big brother? Aoi? Awesome!” Though Choi had figured that out, he still wanted to make sure, it would be awkward if someone else here had the last name Park, he doubted it though. Choi got a better look at Mel and then he was a little confused. Normally Aoi’s friends were well, different. More, manly and less girly. That wasn’t a bad thing, having different people as friends was really good! So this made Choi very happy. “I’m glad my big brother made such a nice friend! He has a hard time doing that.” Well way to be a little brother and spill Aoi’s secrets, but it was true. Aoi did have a hard time making friends unlike Choi, once you got past his shyness anyway. “You know of me, so brother must speak of me a lot or?” That was a scary thought, Aoi talking about him, well what would he have to say? That would be a topic for later discussion.
Choi looked around and noticed the boy had come out of the bathroom. “What were you doing in there?” He asked stupidly and then flailed his arms, oh god was a weird question to ask! “I’m sorry! That was rude, please forget what I just said!” He said and whined softly, his face turning a bright pink with embarrassment. Oh, he would never hear the end of his from Aoi if he found out he said something so rude in front of his friend. Choi pulled away and pursed his lips, causing his face to create a fishy face with his cheeks all puffed out and everything. Lovely. He looked around the room and oddly enough could tell things a part, what was Mel’s and what seemed to be another person’s. Choi’s bright jade eyes moved back onto Mel and he smiled gently, hoping he hadn’t just made the worst impression of his life.

||| - -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - Aoi? Having a hard time making friends? That was a surprising statement! Mel thought that he had done it quite easily. Wait, actually, that was a lie. He had broken a guys shoulder and carried him to his room... and then fed him. Yeah.. perhaps that was a bit of an odd way to become friends, but Mel didn't see a single problem in it. He nodded enthusiastically, his blonde hair moving back and forth a half second after his head. His attitude seemed to improve significantly. "Mhm! Aoi is a really great guy! He really saved me, y'know. He saved me from getting into a lot of trouble." he stressed the word 'a lot' but didn't explain why. It simply didn't seem to cross him mind.
"And yeah, your brother said that you were going to be coming here only a couple of days ago. He seemed so happy! So I figured you'd be a great person, and I really wanted to meet you. But now you're actually going to be rooming with me!" Mel realized he was beginning to ramble, so he placed giggled, and placed a hand on one pink-tinged cheek giving a look of embarrassment. "hehe, sorry.. I was saying too much. I guess I'm just maybe a little too excited. I'll shut up now."
This usually happened, but not only because he was so happy at their first meeting, but because Choi was so unbearable cute! His mannerisms and the faces he made made Mel think of a kind of child or perhaps a bunny. He wouldn't have said he was physically attracted to him in a way that would make him want to give him a kiss, but rather to give him a huge hug (even though the boy appeared to be a bit taller) and simply enjoy being close to such an adorable thing. perhaps even 'squee' a bit. He should've suspected this from someone who was Aoi's little brother; Aoi was pretty handsome. So it was fitting that his little brother was freaking adorable. Mel wondered who their parents were. whoever they were they made good kids! One thing that really caught him were the color of Choi's eyes. beautiful and green, somewhat like Aoi's golden ones. Perhaps a side-effect of their shifting gene was to have stunning eyes?
Mel was about to say something when Choi began to look perplexed. Mel frowned and titled his head, what could be wrong? “What were you doing in there?” Choi finally asked, in reference to the bathroom. Mel turned red, and Choi immediately started waving his arms as though he were attempting to flag down a bus. “I’m sorry! That was rude, please forget what I just said!”
Mel blinked in surprise. Obviously it wasn't a good thing to just appear from a bathroom when someone walked in the door. Mel smoothed his hair, which hadn't yet been spiked for the day, "Umm. it's fine?" He realized how stupid he would sound in about three seconds, "I was actually... checking my ears.." he took Aoi by the hand and tugger him towards the computer screen and showed him the article, "Pretty weird, huh? I found it on stumble upon." he traced out whimsical and random patterns with his toe on the wood floor, "That's what I was doing.."- -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - word count; 601 tag; Choi Park! notes; This is the article. outfit; Lol bed clothes.

Choi smiled a bit, so Aoi helped the boy out did he? Sounded like Aoi. “My brother, only does that to some people, he must really like you.” Choi beamed. That was true, Aoi sometimes didn’t even bother with people when he felt the needed not too. Mel must have struck a special nerve or something in his body to make him help the other. He was glad for that, that means Mel and Aoi would most likely become friends! Or already had. Choi soon blushed a bit, Aoi did speak of him so highly? He was excited about him coming? That made Choi very happy, now the thoughts of him being a bother to his older brother seemed to just disappear completely. Aoi was happy he was here, Choi was also happy he was here. Frowning a little bit suddenly, he whined. “N-No! Mel doesn’t have to be quiet! It’s okay! I like hearing you talk!” He said with a warm smile. Really he did like to hear the other boy speak. Often it was his older brother who over came him when it came to conversations. Aoi loved to talk to him so Choi just happily sat back and listened and gave his two cents when he found it right too.
Something struck Choi then, he looked at Mel who was cute and sweet as can be, so he had to ask. “So, what’s your shift Mel? I’m a panda… I just found out a week ago today, actually!” Now that was the first thing he could really think of to start up a conversation, he wanted to know too, that was something that had in common right? Being able to shift? Smiling gently he looked at the computer screen and snorted softly. “It’s not true~ Don’t worry.” He giggled softly at the male and looked outside, wow it had become so dark since he got here. A mild string of worry passed over him as the wind began to howl and the now rain began to pour hard against the glass windows. Choi gently pulled Mel away from the windows just in case and frowned a little bit, he didn’t like how they were shaking and stuff. “I think it’s storming pretty badly.” He said even though it was clear that it was storming really bad. “Aoi said he was going out today too… I hope he’s okay.” Choi muttered gently.

||| - -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - Mel felt nothing but smiles "I'm a hamster, actually! It's kinda well.. not as good when you have a panda, but that's what it is!" Mel had a habit of weighing his shift against other people's shifts. He always felt like he came out the loser. After all, everyone was something like a wolf, or a fox, a horse, or whatever. Panda's were sweet quiet creatures, but were also strong. Mel didn't realize that Choi was just a baby panda, in the same way that Mel was a young hamster. it made sense that Choi was a panda though, he was chinese and the national animal of the People's Republic of China was the Giant Panda. Plus he was flipping adorable, which was one similar quality he held with pandas.
It wasn't very hard to tell that Mel was a hamster shift either. The reasons behind it were quite obvious enough. Every shifter held striking similarities with their animals. Mel and Choi certainly were no exception to that.
As Choi looked at the computer screen, and Mel glanced out the window, the rain certainly was picking up. He wondered if it might get any worse. He was pulled back to the computer screen as Choi laughed and said it wasn't true. Mel pouted, "But then why would they realease three convicted rapists over it? I don't get it.." He certainly wasn't going to check Choi's ears or ask for his to check his. That would've been quite strange. Mel knew he was still... well a virgin.
A gust of wind rattled the glass of the widows, Mel turned sharply, narrowing his eyes at the window. The rain picked up from steady to staccato and then some. Choi seemed to notice too. Mel dashed to the window and pressed his hands against the frigid glass trying to look outside through the heavy precipitation. Ugh.. rain was gross. It must have been pretty cold too. His breath was misting and fogging up the glass. The glass seemed to vibrate under his fingers. Choi tenderly pulled him away from the window pane, looking kind of worried.
“I think it’s storming pretty badly. Aoi said he was going out today too… I hope he’s okay."
Mel frowned. "ohh, I hope so too! Maybe you should try and call him? I don't really like this weather one bit." he reached up and tugged on the blinds to make them cover the window. He had always wondered why they were lockable and made out of steel.- -- --- ---- ----- ------ ------- ------ ------ ---- --- -- - word count; 447 tag; Choi Park! notes; ccc; nuthin~ outfit; Lol bed clothes.

A hamster? How cute! Choi smiled warmly at the male and then again gave him a once over. Mel was cute, hamsters were down right cute, so it only fit. What broke the smile on Choi’s face was when Mel said his shift wasn’t as good as a panda, Choi whined softly. “Not true! When I told my brother I was a panda, I thought the same thing, he was a strong tiger and I was just a little panda, but he said it makes you who you are, you know? You’re a hamster, because you’re cute and sweet and loveable, hamsters are too right? I’m a panda because I’m part Chinese, so says my grandfather really, but also because I’m gentle and kind too, Aoi’s a tiger because he’s strong and a fighter.” He said in a matter of fact tone, he knew he was rambling that whole time but he tried to put his words together the right way. “Hamsters are awesome, Mel.” He said putting all of his words into one easy little sentence. When it came back to the computer screen, Choi shrugged a bit and gave a tiny smile. “I’m not sure, but I highly doubt it’s real. Don’t worry though, no one will be sneaking a peek at your ears.” He giggled softly. Mel was worried too? All the more reason Choi should call his brother. Pulling out his phone he quickly pushed the one button and smiled when he heard his brother’s calm, cool and collected voice on the other end. “Gege, it’s Choi. How are you? It’s starting to storm and Mel-” Choi stopped himself and smiled, moving to put the phone on speaker and he drew closer to the blonde boy. “Mel and I are worried about you.” He finished and there was an odd pause on the phone, and then suddenly his brother’s voice filled the room. “Mel? You know Mel?” Of course, Aoi would skip the most important part of the conversation, the ‘are you okay’ part. Choi giggled a bit. “Yes! Mel is my room-mate, he said he knew you so.” Choi said and he motioned for Mel to say something back, which he did and Choi giggled a bit. There came a chuckle from the phone. “I should be more surprised, but for some reason I’m not. I’m fine, you two okay? I have my truck to get back, so no worries. You two stay inside, got it? I have to go, I still need to get some things for your room, Choi. I love you both, I’ll see you soon.” Then there was silence. Choi sighed softly and smiled at Mel, nodding in approval. Okay his brother was alright, well of course he would be alright, he was Aoi. Mighty Aoi. “He’ll be okay, he’s tough.” Choi said. word count;;497outfit;;here!tags;;meeeelnotes;;Choi has white speech Aoi has black speech
