Today was the day. For some reason Aoi couldn’t contain his excited feelings any longer, he was going shopping. Well that was a fun past time of his when he could go shopping but better yet he was going with Mel. He had just met the boy yesterday, saved the boy yesterday from getting beat up and now he had asked him to go shopping with him. Aoi had made sure he was dressed ready, nice comfy shoes, good pants, a nice shirt. He also made sure everything was washed the night before, just in case they smelt or something. Yeah he was excited. Never been so excited to hang out with someone before, besides Tokiie anyway, so this was all new to him. The friendship thing anyway, it wasn’t something his mental state was use too, before he couldn’t take it. It was way to much for him. Now he needed a changed, he promised he would make friends and he did. Thankfully they had exchanged numbers before they went to bed last time, so as soon as Aoi was ready he began texting the boy like a fool. Telling him where he was over and over again. Maybe he would get so annoyed with Aoi texting him what he would hurry and come to the front of the school so they could walk to the mall. Mel wanted to walk, and thankfully it was a nice cool day, he had made sure he wasn’t smelly, but putting on some of his perfume and deodorant. He smelt like fruit a lot of lovely mixed together fruits. How yummy. Aoi sighed softly and rocked on his heels. He was wondering what the boy would want to do when they got to the mall, being completely loaded, Aoi would happily get the boy anything he wanted. So that was easy, food wise, would Mel be happy eating in the food court? They had some nice healthy places for them to eat, so that was no big deal. Aoi bit his lower lip and looked over his own outfit, he was rather catty today to say the least. Clothing wise anyway. He never wore tiger print though since it was so easily confused with zebra print, so he stuck with leopard print instead. He liked it so it fit nicely into what he wanted to wear. After a moment he grinned when he spotted Mel coming through the doors, it didn’t take long for Aoi to scoop the boy into his arms and hold him tight. “You’re here! I thought you forgot about me!” He whined cutely and poked the boy’s nose. word count;; 453outfit;; Outfit!tags;;meeeelnotes;;>3< Cute~ He’s caaares xD

∫∫∫ Mel woke up still wearing Aoi's clothing. The only difference from the last time he had woken up was there was no handsome young man next to him who had rescued him from a group of rather upset and acutely disagreeable young gentlemen. The term "gentlemen" being used quite loosely, a sort of mocking endearment if it was to be said out loud at all. They certainly weren't the same sort of "gentlemen" that Aoi would be. The main difference being the word gentle. It was baffling to the boy how a complete stranger could risk himself to save some one that he had neither met, nor probably even seen in his life. Compassion like that truly earned a special place in Mel's heart and mind, because it was indubitably after the boy's own heart. Today he was in luck too, he was going to get to see him again, this time at the mall!
He threw back the top cover and comforter and twisted, his feet hit the cold wooden-boarded floor as Mel proceeded to stretch and yawn the remaining sleepiness away. He turned on his heel and took his time to straighten his covers. It was a pain, but Mel had forgotten to make his bed for the past few days and it was high time he got back into the habit. After that, shower, do hair, check computer check phone, and dress. Most of those were easy, there was only one thing that Mel found a bit worrying. What should he wear?
He decided to start by removing Aoi's clothing to begin the process of his morning. It was simple enough. Repetitive actions always are, but when he sat down to pick out an outfit, he found himself at a loss. Most of his clothes needed to be washed or stored into a closet. He had only arrived a few days ago, so most of his possessions were still packed up. He laid out a few sets, contemplated them and then stored them in a closet. It was an important day, he needed to wear the right thing. He sat there, wearing only a towel until his knees hurt. But finally, Mel settled on a blue camisole layered with a loose sleeveless brown shirt and a pair of bermuda shorts. He liked the played down colors, closer to gray than totally warm or cool colors. He preferred to balance it out. It was always a relief to put on some clothes, fortunately, his roommate hadn't showed up yet so he was free to do as he pleased and sit around half-naked picking out his daily attire. Topped by a hat over his gelled hair, his ring, and a union jack locket-a souvenir from his travels- were just the things to top it off. Slipping on a pair of coca-cola brand flip flops, Mel rummaged through his back for some cash. He retrieved a wad and counted out a hundred dollars. Yes, his parents were fairly wealthy and being his mothers favorite, Mel oft reaped the rewards of his family's money. He was ashamed of it though, afraid that he'd never learn how to be self-sufficient by receiving money from his parents. But that was one of the only ways his father knew how to communicate his love.
He stuffed it in his satchel along with his little black Razor phone and set out in the direction of their meeting place. The mall was a bit of a walk away, which made the boy consider Aoi's offer twice about getting a car ride. Perhaps he should buy a bike? Maybe they'd have bikes for sale at the mall. In any case, Mel would have to figure out a more efficient way of transportation. Walking was great, but slow. What would he do if it was the school year? His phone buzzed and he flipped it open, there was a message from Aoi along with several others before it. He giggled to himself, well, at least he was enthusiastic too! he slipped it into his pocket and neared the glass doors of the school, he pushed through it and was more than surprised to be immediately swept up in a bear hug, or more appropriately in this situation, a tiger hug. He made a tiny squeak and froze in Aoi's grip until his feet touched the floor again.
"You’re here! I thought you forgot about me!”
Mel laughed and returned the hug, "Naw, I couldn't do that!" He smiled and bent to pick up his hat, which had fallen when Aoi had embraced him. "Be careful!" He eyed the older boy in mock scolding sort of way, "I'm breakable you know! And you give good hugs!" ∫∫∫ tag; Aoi<3 word count; 808 notes; ^^ Aoi is so kyoot. Ahha.. my and my terrible puns. Aoi was so happy to see the cute boy, he grinned at him and held onto him for a moment before he gently set him back down, allowing his fingers to gently comb through the boy’s hair he leaned down and kissed his nose gently before purring like a cat. He was here, so that was good. Aoi didn’t have to worry about if the male was hurt or if someone was messing with him. Mel was here and close, Aoi felt better. He leaned back on his heels and got a good look at the boy, he looked so cute. Aoi pouted and gently blew on the hat. Pretending to get everything off of it. Aoi snorted softly when he said he was breakable and also that he gave great hugs, he was a silly little hamster. “If you’re breakable then I can’t hug you!” He said with a small pout, but still gently wrapped his arms around the boy’s neck, before pressing a few kisses on his cheek. It then dawned on him that if they went shopping, they would have to carry everything back. That would be one awful experience honestly, the boy looked so small he could fall over with just one bag. “You know, since you’re shopping with me, I often get a lot of things…. Maybe we should take my truck? It runs on soy bean oil, completely green.” As in green he meant, going green like good for the environment. Personally he thought it was the best idea he ever heard, using soy beans for gas, but hey that’s just what he thought. Sadly he couldn’t change the minds of all the people in the world, he wished he could. Waving his hand a bit, he gently took the boy’s small hand, well it wasn’t so small in his own, but it was soft. He gently tugged at him and pulled him to his red truck which was parked by the dorms of the school. He grinned and unlocked both sides of his truck before climbing into the driver’s seat. He looked at the boy and smiled gently at his clothing, he was so cute it was almost heart breaking. Slowly when the boy got in and buckled himself, Aoi pulled out of the way and drove off. He watched the boy and bit his lower lip, “So, how long did you want to stay here? It’s only 10am… normally I stay unlike closing.”

∫∫∫ Aoi's mannerisms were somewhat more than peculiar. Never before in his life had he received a kiss on the cheek as a greeting. He knew that in France 'la bise'- as it was called- was a popular in all of the provinces and a totally socially acceptable form of greeting and interaction. In the americas though? Not so much. Not even when he would hang out with a few female friends (when he had them of course) would they ever greet one another like that, let alone would they do it the boy. He did remember one time when they had had a French student over for 21 days in the summer. A 16 year-old by the name of Aurore Prideaux, a pretty girl with an attitude that would've put the sun to shame. She was friendly, accepting, positive, and sweet. Mel and her got along really well, when she had to leave she had give the boy a kiss on each cheek and said, "Goodbye, my good friend", thae still contacted each other sometimes. Friderick had formed a deeper relationship with her over time, while Mel was the friend, Frid was the potential love interest. That made the boy happy.
Other than that, Mel had never had that kind of contact or even ever tried it with some one. He feared he'd be hunted down if he tried it with someone, especially if that someone just happened to be a boy. Although he didn't move and blinked a few times in surprise when Aoi gave him his own personal form of La Bise, but he wasn't frightened. He trusted the older boy. He had saved him from the gang of bullies and wouldn't let anything bad happen to him. He broke into a grin and stood on his tiptoes to properly hug Aoi around the neck, he didn't return the affectionate gesture as it was something still very new and perhaps a bit awkward to him.
He pulled away and pressed into Aoi's side as he spoke, "You know, since you’re shopping with me, I often get a lot of things…. Maybe we should take my truck? It runs on soy bean oil, completely green.”
"That's weird.. I was actually thinking about getting a bike.." His voice trailed off as he realized what Aoi had said. His eyes widened, "They do that now?! I thought you they only had gasoline and ethanol!" he was beaming, how smart was that?"Yeah! That'd be great!"
He laced his fingers with Aoi's and tried to match his long stride to his clean red truck. He jumped into the passenger seat and slipped his flip flops off so he could pull his legs up to sit cross-legged. Fastening his seat belt, he arranged his hands in his lap. Te car smelled new, he didn't want to get fingerprints on anything. He looked around the interior of the vehicle, it was spotless, and that was impressive. His brothers basically lived in their cars. It was littered with clothing pillows, and random odds an ends. Old food and it always carried the scent of McDonald's. Even Friderick could keep his car clean!
"I love shopping! That, and I have nothing going on today, so I'll just do what you want to do, okay?" He gave the asian boy a broad and genuine grin, "Thanks so much for taking me along Aoi, I haven't done this for such a long time!"∫∫∫ tag; Aoi<3 word count; 612 notes; Oh mah gawd. Aoi chuckled about how happy he seemed to learn that cars and trucks could run on beans and stuff. Shrugging lightly he nodded, “I thought it was a good idea, it’s better for the truck too, cleaner.” He said with a small shrug and slowly walked over to the truck with the boy. He wouldn’t deny, he loved having the boy’s hand in his own, their fingers laced together. It felt so real and soft and sweet, the boy was his own personal sugar high really. Slipping into his truck, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the way the boy was sitting, his feet were crossed and his shoes where down, reaching out he gently caught the back of the boy’s neck and gave him a one armed hug. “Mel is such a funny boy.” He teased, mostly because he had never really seen anyone beside his brother sit like that. Slowly Aoi started the car and took off, he set his blackberry in a cup holder so it wouldn’t be in his pocket and he began to drive off. Aoi sighed softly after a little bit, he was waiting to turn into the mall but traffic was pretty bad. He growled softly and leaned forward since they were at a complete halt and he bit his steering wheel, yes he bit it. It was his way of not completely going crazy. He looked at Mel and then smiled a bit, he wished he could make the traffic move a bit faster for him, since he seemed a bit bored. He was about to speak when the cars began to move, grinning he pulled into the turn off to get to the mall and soon he was parking rather close to it, since he waited for an old women to move. “Finally!” He said and smiled at the boy, grabbing his black berry and slipping that and his keys into his pocket before, moving to help the boy out. “They have just about every store you can think of, where do you want to go first?” He didn’t want to drag the boy into stores he didn’t like, so when they walked into the busy place he looked over at him and asked, maybe the boy just wanted to look in every store first. Then something hit him like a ton of bricks and the older boy grinned widely. ”Want to go to build a bear with me?”word count;; 424outfit;; Outfit!tags;;meeeeelnotes;;xD

∫∫∫ Mel really felt appreciative of the little hug and words. He smiled and nodded saying "Most likely.." in response to Aoi. There was something about the other person that made him feel warm, filled him up from the inside out until he was simply bursting with sincere affection. Aoi reminded him of his big brother, although, granted, Aoi was a generally friendlier person as well as much more enthusiastic to be around Mel. Some of the similarities in personality were striking; they had the same concerned looks, same small and unexpected friendly touches, and the same need to make sure he was out of harm's way. It sort of made him smile, it was just like having Frid around. Though, Friderick was not as admittedly handsome or attractive to Mel as Aoi was. But then again, he and Frid were blood relatives.
The drive over was much easier than a walk might've been. Mel hadn't know that there would be so many cars on the small island., and he certainly didn't expect to see so many cars trying to get into the mall's parking lot. He gawked, so many.. Mel wasn't used to seeing a lot of cars. He had grown up in a little college town where everything was in walking distance. Most of the university students didn't own cars. His family owned two but they didn't use them as much as one would think. How did they get the cars onto the island anyway? He guessed it was probably the ferry that took them over. That brought a whole bucket of other questions; How many cars were on the island? How did they deal with traffic? Did you need a special permit to drive here?
Speaking of traffic, the line was moving really slow. It seemed to really bother Aoi, so much so that he but his steering wheel. Mel's head tilted a bit, it was an odd gesture, but Aoi probably didn't like the feeling of being trapped in a car and in line. His shift seemed characteristically restless when it felt closed in. Mel was perfectly fine, he was just happy to have the chance to be around someone. He sat still and looked around taking in the sights from the passenger seat. He didn't notice that they had started to move again until Aoi exclaimed "Finally!"
He started and looked at him, relaxing as they pulled into a parking space. There was a snap as he disconnected his seatbelt, he smiled and accepted Aoi's assistance with a "Dzieki!"
The interior of the mall was huge too. He certainly didn't doubt what the older boy said about there being a wide variety of stores. Where could they start? Aoi saved him the trouble of having to decide by making a suggestion. Mel immediately broke down, slipping seamlessly into the role of a very young girl."Build-a-bear? Seriously? It's been years since I've been there! Oh my god, I'd love to go!" As a child he had loved stuffed animals, and as such biuld-a-bear was always one of the placed he wanted to go if asked. That and everything in the shop was painfully cute and fluffy. He held on to Aoi's wrist and looked up at him, "Can we go? Really? Do they have one here?"∫∫∫ tag; Aoi<3 word count; 585 notes; Sorry, i'm a little slow on posting today -_-; outfit; Hurrr

During the ride there, Aoi could tell Mel was a bit quiet, maybe it was because he didn’t want Aoi to lose focus and make sure they didn’t crash or something, that’s just how Aoi took his odd silence. The boy said something odd and Aoi was sure he said thank you, just by the action that led to the word. He hoped it was thank you anyway. “Bù kèqì” He said and gave the boy a gentle smile, he said you’re welcome and hopefully it was used in the right context. When they walked in and Aoi mentioned Build-a-Bear, it was so cute to see such a reaction coming from Mel. He wanted to go! Good, now Aoi didn’t feel like such a little child anymore since he too wanted to go. “I’ll get you anyone you want, okay?” He smiled when the boy took his wrist and was pretty much pulled to the overly yellow and bright store, looking in he smiled at all the cute little children running around, and the parents smiling at how a simply stuffed animal could bring a child such joy. Oh and himself and Mel too, these things were amazing. Walking over to the bin with all the available animals they could stuff and call a friend (or that was the store’s slogan anyway) he blinked and perked up at the a the soft black and white bear that was a panda. Grinning he happily took one of the deflated creatures and hugged it close. He would get a panda because his grandfather turned into a panda as a shift, so in a cute way it was for his grandfather. He watched as Mel also took an animal and they both happily went to the stuffing machine, the man sitting there took his panda and brought it to life with white fluffy stuffing. Aoi blushed a bright pink when he was asked to take a heart and make his toy see and hear and smell and love, he didn’t mind it honestly but the idea still made him blush. Then it was Mel’s turn do to the little thing with the tiny heart, Aoi’s panda was all done and stitched up and ready to be named and dressed up. As Mel did it, Aoi’s eyes wandered for a split second away from Mel, he was looking out the store to see what on earth they could do next. When Mel was done, he snickered a bit and gently made his panda kiss Mel’s cheek. “What did you get, Mel?” He asked softly while moving to the computer to sit down so you could make your stuffed animal a birth certificate. It was super easy to do the computer work honestly. He named his panda Jing-Jing, in honor of a panda named that in China that was the mascot for the Olympics when it was held in Beijing in 08. Grinning a bit, Aoi held out his panda and made him wave at Mel. “Mel, this is my new friend Jing-Jing! Who is your new friend?” His voice was cute and child like, honestly he was having such a fun time already.

∫∫∫ Mel's eyebrows angled downwards in an expression of concern. "But.. I don't want you to buy me anything. I have money." That was one thing that bothered the boy. He had his own money and preferred to spend it on others, but could never understand when someone wanted to buy for him. Being the youngest he had gotten anything he wanted in his earliest years, but as he grew older he developed a sense of guilt for having toys that other kids couldn't. He loved his birthday and Christmas, but always spent on other people or made gifts in addition to receiving them. Not returning the favor of gift-giving made Mel feel as though he was taking advantage of people. But something happened when they entered the store. The people, the colors, the many levels of adorable packed into every corner- all of it made a Mel forget that.
His grip on Aoi's wrist loosened then eventually, let go completely. He wandered over to a bin, standing on the tips of his toes like he used to do as a child to see into them. Reaching in he brushed his fingers along the deflated brown pelt of a teddy bear. There were so many to choose from, Mel straightened and looked at each in turn. Aoi seemed to have no problem picking out an animal to stuff. Mel chewed his lower lip, so much pressure! Then a flash of tan caught his eye, he wandered to the bin and picked up the floppy thing. It was a rabbit, a tan bunny with soft fur. He checked the price tag: $14.00. A fair price for something so cute. He sidled up to Aoi, holding his rabbit close. Aoi went first, Mel hung back to wait for his turn. When he finally went up and handed the limp toy to the man. The person smiled at him and looked to the toy, then took a double take. His eyes narrowed, honing in on Mel's features and analyzing them. Mel shirked self-consciously and looked in Aoi's direction for assitance, but he appeared to be distracted. But there was no need, the man shook his head and donned a smile, "Hello there little miss, did you find everything you were looking for?"
The polish boy blinked and nodded. "Uhmm, yes?"
The man smiled, "Okay then. how do you want it? Soft or firm?"
Mel gave tiny smile, "Soft please, really soft." He waited, shuffling his feet as the toy inflated with stuffing. He gladly answered "yes" to the man's spiel about putting the heart in, but hastily made his way to the "cleaning station" when it was stitched up. He put his new plushie underneath the flow of air, jumping when something brushed his cheek. It was only Aoi, holding his new panda. Mel smiled and touched the fur in between it's ears, "Aww! It's so cute! I got a bunny!" He held it up for Aoi to see.
The pair walked to the computer section to create birth certificates. Mel settled on the name "Cassia" a type of cinnamon herb.
“Mel, this is my new friend Jing-Jing! Who is your new friend?”
Mel looked up, Aoi seemed to be in a totally different mood right now. It certainly didn't seem like the same boy who had broken a person's shoulder for punching him. All the same he held up his rabbit and said, "This is Cassia!" Standing, he made his way towards the taller person, "Are you almost ready to go?"∫∫∫ tag; Aoi<3 word count; 623 notes; I've been lazy... sorry Here's the bunneh :3 outfit; Hurrr

Aoi snickered softly at the boy, it was cute. He wanted to be pay for himself, Aoi would let him, but he still wanted to be able to pay for the boy once in a while. “I’m paying because I want too, I’m sure you can pay for other stuff too.” He said simply and smiled at the bunny, it was cute. He was cute. He gently patted the rabbits head and bowed slightly, giving off a silent greeting to say hello. He sighed softly and then huffed gently at a few male co-workers who seemed interested in the boy, Aoi had only moved away for a moment before two of them came up, flirting like crazy with him. Nope. Not while Aoi was there, sorry. Slowly Aoi slipped his arms around Mel, and titled the boy’s head and gently kissed his lips. Aoi should have been an actor, this kiss totally seemed real. Maybe because, in some way it was? He didn’t know. Pulling back from the connection of his and Aoi’s lips, he smirked and nuzzled him. “Are you ready to go sweetie?” He asked Mel, totally putting on the front of the male’s boyfriend. He took his hand and laced their fingers together and pulled the boy to the cashier, easily paying for both animals and putting them in their boxes, along with the certificate they both just made. Aoi handed Mel his bunny while Aoi took his panda. Not once did Aoi let go of the boy’s hand. Slowly Aoi brought him out of the store and hummed softly. “Well, we can go to any store you want? I want to go to the book store at some point, get new shoes and shirts and stuff. I also might get my ear pierced.” He shrugged and smiled at the boy, slowly swinging their hands back and forth, it didn’t take long for them to get to the new store which was Claire’s of all places, Aoi chuckled and slowly pulled the boy inside. Aoi personally liked some of their things, also he loved their bright nail polish. Grinning, the Chinese boy moved and took a crown with pink all over it and put it on Mel’s head. He bowed and took the boy’s hand and kissed it. “My pretty princess, how may I serve thee?” word count;; 404outfit;; Outfit!tags;;meeelnotes;;lulz xD

∫∫∫ Mel didn't argue with that. If Aoi was going to pay, then he was going to pay. Not much Mel could do about that. If he was really unlucky, Aoi might actually confiscate his cash and pay for the whole shopping trip himself! That would be mortifying..
After his rabbit was named and ready to go, things got strange. Two young men in the build-a-bear work uniform seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Why hello there!" the first one said, with a big smile on his face, "What's your name?"
Mel looked down and muttered, "It's Mel."
The second one jumped in, "And that's short for Melanie I'd imagine? What a nice name."
The first one laughed and nudged his co-worker "So what are you doing here?"
Mel was beginning to feel uncomfortable, what would they do if they figured him out? There was nothing to fear though, Aoi jumped in, wrapping his arm around his waist. He gave a tiny squeak as he was pulled in. Then Aoi did something strange, Mel found his fingers quickly go beneath his chin, and his face tipped up towards the light. Mel blinked against the brightness on the ceiling lights, "Aoi, what are y-- mph!" He was cut off mid-question as Aoi's lips connected with his. They were soft on top of his, gentle. The pressed down for a brief second before moving away. "Ready to go, sweetie?"
Mel was left totally speechless, it took him a few seconds to realize that Aoi had just pulled a fake 'back-off-b*tches-this-one's-mine' on the two young men, who were now awkwardly shuffling their feet and moving away whispering to one another. Mel was thoroughly embarrassed and blushing bright red. he had never been kissed before, and on the lips no less! It came as such a suprise that he made no protest to being dragged along to the cashier. The cashier, who was female, looked a bit weirded out. It made Mel blush even more (if that was at all possible) and tightened his grip on Aoi's hand. He kept his head down to hide his blush when He was handed his boxed rabbit.
Aoi seemed totally as unaffected by the incident in the store as Mel was affected by it. He simply kept silent and walked with Aoi as he spoke. “Well, we can go to any store you want? I want to go to the book store at some point, get new shoes and shirts and stuff. I also might get my ear pierced.”
He nodded a bit and tried to force his mind off of the kiss. He only looked up when they reached the store, my what wonderful things they had! Aoi picked up a tiara and set it on his head with a flourish. Mel laughed and put a hand over his face. "Well, you can stop with the terrible impression of a courtier, mister!" He looked around the bright store, "Ooh! Hats!" He ran to the wall where hats were hanging, still wearing a tiara. Gently brushing his finger s along a few of them.

He knew, oh he knew that he made Mel totally embarrassed, it for some reason made Aoi a little sad to see the male so disdained after being kissed. Maybe Mel was waiting for someone else? Did he steal his first kiss? Guilt began to drip through his body like a leaky pipe and he gently pulled the boy close to him. “Sorry, just thought the kiss would be convincing you know? You should have slapped me…” He said sadly. Wouldn’t have been the first time he got slapped over kissing someone without their permission or something like that, how many times would that be? A lot, there simple to add up. A lot. Grinning a little bit he gently took the boy’s hands and pressed them to his own cheeks and gently used the boy’s hand to slap himself. Showing him how to hit someone so to speak, ha that was funny. He for some reason did really enjoy kissing Mel, he didn’t know why but he did. Maybe it was just best to leave it at that? He enjoyed it but the other boy might not have, completely one-sided. Again, this was nothing knew to him. Aoi grinning when he was called out for being a bad impressionist. He even chuckled when the boy ran off to go play with some hats. Mel was truly innocent, just like his little brother Choi. Shaking he head he fallowed the boy and watched him, also running his fingers across some of the items. Nothing really struck his own interest even though Aoi adored the color pink. Sighing softly he then found a nice necklace with Hello Kitty. It was just her head set on a thick chain, he liked it a lot. He was about to move over to Mel and show him when suddenly a male’s voice came over the loud speakers of the mall, he was sure it was loud enough to be heard from the outside which he was guessing was the point. The voice said ”Everyone, must stay within the mall, do not leave. A hurricane had landed on shore and is tearing things apart” More was said, but for Aoi that was enough. He sighed softly, well that just ruined his day with Mel, or did it? Smiling, he moved and wrapped his arms around the boy who seemed a bit nervous due to the news. “Well, have you ever spent the night in a mall before?” He teased, trying to make it seem okay. Everyone else seemed to have been pulling out their phones in a bit of panic at the news, Aoi just rolled his eyes and pulled Mel’s gaze to him so their eyes met. “Don’t worry okay? I’m here with you and I’ll keep you safe, no matter what. If you want to call someone you can, I’m going to call my baby brother.” He frowned a little bit. Choi hated storms, he only hoped that his brother would be okay, mentally. word count;; 520outfit;; Outfit!tags;;meeeeelnotes;;Oddly enough Mel gets to be with Choi during a storm too! xD

∫∫∫ Mel was surprised when Aoi stopped him, “Sorry, just thought the kiss would be convincing you know? You should have slapped me…”
He then took hits hands and demonstrated how to slap a person. Mel laughed and tore his hands away, only to reattach them around Aoi's midsection in a big hug, "It's fine. Also I could never hit someone, especially you." He loosened his grip and looked up, "So it's alright, okay?" He realized the older boy and took his hand again. He didn't hate Aoi for it, sure, he had never kissed someone before but that wasn't a solid basis for dislike of a person. So if he couldn't hate Aoi, he decided to adore him. The boy was strong dependable and everything he did seemed to have meaning behind it. Yes, even when he kissed him it was to get those young gentlemen to back off. It possibly would've saved him from ending up in one of the same situations that he had ended up in when he first met Aoi. Mel couldn't hate him, and he wanted Aoi to know that.
The began walking again, Mel hummed a bit before saying, "It's kind of funny actually, I've never kissed.. or been kissed before! Is that weird? But thanks anyway, I was just taken by surprise.. that's all." It was surprising, after Aoi had clarified the situation, Mel actually felt happy.
He picked up a black and white striped fedora and put it on, "oops!" he had forgotten to remove the tiara. He set his own brown hat on the floor, then removed the tiara, and put on the fedora. He looked up at the mirrors, making a face. No, he didn't like it all that much. Aoi seemed to be interested in a necklace. Mel removed the hat and replaced it on it's original hook. "Hey.. Aoi?" he looked back at him, "Do you...?"
Before he could finish his sentence a frantic, yet loud and authoritative voice boomed over the loud speakers so suddenly that Mel jumped. "Everyone, must stay within the mall, do not leave. A hurricane had landed on shore and is tearing things apart”
Mel began to shake. Hurricane? It had seemed so sunny outside before. He had never experienced a hurricane before, Back at his home the closest thing they got to hurricanes were tornados, and those mostly landed on Elbert county and along the front range. Never really close to his home though. But a hurricane? one that hit the island head on, he didn't know what to do. Aoi seemed to notice and smothered him with a hug. "What are we going to do, Aoi? I'm scared.."
The older boy had not problems with thinking up an answer, “Well, have you ever spent the night in a mall before?” Mel buried his face into Aoi's shirt, only to have it pulled up again to meet his golden gaze, " “Don’t worry okay? I’m here with you and I’ll keep you safe, no matter what. If you want to call someone you can, I’m going to call my baby brother.”
Mel swallowed and managed a nod. He didn't really have anyone to call. Zander maybe? What if the connection was dead? He pulled out his own phone, which was fairly new, and flipped it open to contacts. his fingers hovered over the keys but he finally just snapped it shut and stored it away. This was really bad. He hadn't locked down the room! What if it got damaged? " Aoi? is there really no way out? Are they really locking us in?"

He would never hit him? Good! Though in some ways Aoi was sure he would regret saying those words later on in life when Aoi most likely would make the other boy so mad. Then again, he never planned on doing that so there for he wouldn’t. If Aoi hurt Mel, then… that would be the utter end of him. Grinning, Aoi slipped his arms around the boy and gave him a hug and kissed his hair softly. “Good, now if you do hit me I’ll remind you, you said you wouldn’t.” He teased softly and then ruffled the boy’s hair a bit. Mel truly was a saint, that much was for sure. He was the most gentle hearted person at school really, though that would be tested when Choi would come to school. He wanted them both to get along, he wanted both young boys to be friends. They were so much alike in all the right ways and not in the wrong ways thank god. Shifting he watched Mel and try on the hat, it looked cute on him really but Aoi wouldn’t voice his opinion since it seemed the other boy didn’t like it so much on his head. Sadly, Aoi put the necklace back and walked over to Mel and pulled the shaking boy into a tight hug. “Well, we walked here and I highly doubt the bus is running, so you and I are going to have our first sleep over in a mall!” He said happily since apparently that’s what the store owner was talking to a costumer about. Seems like they had everything they needed incase this ever happened. Well they were on an island so of course they the mall would be prepared for something like this. He didn’t let go of Mel because he was worried if he did the boy should change into his hamster shift and go hide. Oh, the boy looked so scared. Thankfully Choi texted him, saying he was just fine and indoors. He swore his baby brother had esp. He was glad he contacted him first though since now he could focus on Mel, after he texted the boy back. “Mel, look at me. Don’t you worry your pretty little head okay? I’ll take care of you. Besides, things will run normal here, really. Trapped people inside a mall, you know how many people will want to shop to get their mind off of it?” He grinned and pressed his lips against the boy’s head again. word count;; 435outfit;;Outfit! ∫∫∫ Mel moved his head out of the blue cloth so he could get a breath in and gave Aoi a worried look. His eyebrows knit and blue eyes clouded with doubt. He couldn't tell of Aoi was afraid or not, he had such a cool and calm exterior. All around there seemed to be panic, phones dialing and redialing, the sound of busy signals and the shouts and swear of some people dashing through the hall. Too his it was madness. A message played over the intercom. It sounded recorded. It was just a bunch of warning about what to do in the even of a hurricane and warnings about looting the store. People sometimes did that when they were so scared. They would suddenly run into a store, grab whatever they wanted and book it without even so much as a thought. How peculiar the human mind was.
Mel was in no mood to steal anything he just wanted to hide somewhere safe. He felt an idea in the back of his head to try and shift and possibly hide somewhere safe but, what If someone stepped on him by mistake. That wouldn't be pretty, plus he had Aoi, what would he do? Aoi didn't seem to intend to let go of him soon, and that was comforting. All around was madness, it was a new experience, one he hadn't factored in. It made him want to cry, made him want to run. But instead, he clung to the boy. He sniffled a bit "but.. we took the car didn't we?" he pressed closer into Aoi's torso. "But I don't want to go outside either..
“Mel, look at me. Don’t you worry your pretty little head okay? I’ll take care of you. Besides, things will run normal here, really. Trapped people inside a mall, you know how many people will want to shop to get their mind off of it?”
The boy looked up obediently, he knew Aoi would take care of him. He didn't doubt it a bit, be was just frightened at how sudden it all was. He rested his head against the taller boy's chest. He forced himself to draw in a shuttering sort of breath. Before saying, "Okay, Aoi.. I trust you. I'll just follow you." he made a face, "that's okay... right?" He cursed his inability to control his fear.∫∫∫ tag; Aoi<3 word count; 422 notes;Nyaa~ outfit; Hurrr

Mel was scared, Aoi knew this much from the get go. What could he do to comfort the boy? Well there were a lot of things he knew would work but sadly he couldn’t do them with Mel of all people. Slowly he pulled the boy out of the store and went to go sit down on one of the benches. He remembered where his truck was parked and wondered if he could get to it, but what could Mel do? Then he had an idea, slowly he leaned down and kissed the boy’s cheek and gave him a smile. “I want you to shift for me okay? I’ll get you back to school, just shift and then jump in my pants pocket okay? You won’t get crushed.” He said with a gently voice, his hands slowly moved down to stroke the boy’s cheek. That would be for the best, Mel would be safe and also he could get them home. Mel would he a bit happier that way wouldn’t he? The blonde boy was in distress, but to how much he wasn’t sure. Slowly he took the boy by the hand and walked him to the glass exit, mostly it was raining but the wind was so bad things were moving around, like tree’s and poles. Sighing softly he hugged the boy tightly, rubbing his back and silently asking him to shift into his hamster form, no one was around to see this and it was the best way to get the boy home and into his own bed, safe and sound. That’s what Mel wanted most, Aoi would do anything for the small boy, already that much was certain. If Aoi had to, he’d give up a limb, organ his life for Mel, he wasn’t sure why. Well yes he was sure, he knew the reason behind the madness that went through his mind but he wouldn’t admit it to anyone, not even his brother Choi. Shaking his head he smiled at the boy and continued to rub his back, kneading him and messaging his skin for as long as he was human, Aoi would get them both home safe and sound and when this was all over, they would have to come back and shop again. “I’ll take good care of you Mel, I love you.” Aoi did love Mel. So very much, but he loved him like a little brother, that love to him was perfect for their relationship. Mel was his little brother. Aoi claimed him as such. word count;; 441outfit;; Outfit!tags;;meeeeelnotes;;AWWWW AOI! ;x;
