Overall: Mischa is like her brother in many ways. If someone who knew one met the other, they would easily be able to see the relation personality-wise. She is very outgoing and, like her brother, is very into acting, although she was never able to take it as far. She still loved movies and musicals and music in general, though. She is a very happy and energetic person. She was always the innocent one in the family, since her past isn't as dark as that of her brother. She can be naive sometimes.

Despite her happy innocence, she has a more mature side to her. Sure she is innocent in terms of bad and good (she sometimes doesn't understand why people do bad things) but in terms of other stuff, she's a typical (almost) teenager. After all, growing up with a bisexual brother, how could she not be? She can be unintentionally flirty sometimes, even if the guy is in hos 20s (or at least we hope it's unintentional). She is a quirky young girl and has an interesting but sweet sense of humor. She also seems to have picked up a taste for sarcasm.

Even though it may not always appear that way, Mischa is really a very bright girl. She's a year ahead most of the kids her age. This is probably because she's a few months older, but whatever. However, her smarts are usually overshadowed by her bright, colorful, bubbly personality. When she shows signs of intelligence, people sometimes act shocked because they expect her to be a ditz. She is also very artistic and especially loves painting.

Mischa has a neurological condition called synesthesia. It has many different forms. In her grapheme ¨ color synesthesia, different numbers (0-9) have colors, genders, and personalities. This is her main form of synesthesia. She also has slight sound ¨ color/shape synesthesia, where music and certain sounds (birds chirping, etc) evoke colors and shapes, which appear as if on a screen in front of her. Lastly, she has slight voice-gustatory synesthesia, where each person's voice has a taste. Max's voice, for example, tastes like buttered toast. The only person who knows about this is Max, and she hasn't spoken to a professional about it, although she has read about it online. This condition doesn't affect Mischa negatively in any way, except for two things. If there is too much sound around her, she can get frustrated from sensory overload. Also, if she sees a number in the wrong color (if someone wrote the number '1' in blue ink) then it would annoy her and she'd find it difficult not to correct them. Other than these two, though, she finds her synesthetic experiences rather enjoyable, and she wouldn't want to experience life without them. Oh, and she doesn't talk about it much unless someone asks her.

Appearance:
Mischa has long, wavy dark brown hair that falls down to her elbows. When not brushed, it can fall together in locks ending in sort-of curls, though when she does brush it, it ends up almost frizzy, depending on how much she brushes it. She has a pale, creamy complexion and her eyes are either dark blue or brown, depending on the light. She is quite small, and at 4'8", she hasn't hit her growth spurt yet, and looks younger than she really is. She doesn't like that.

Mischa's face is round, adding to her childish appearance. Her eyes are always sparkling, her lips are pink, and her happy grin lights up her face. Her nose is slim, but otherwise nothing special, and her chin shows a hint of a point. Her eyebrows are long and thin, but not overplucked, in fact, they are not plucked at allk, for Mischa does little more than wearing lipgloss to enhance her face.

Like many girls her age, Mischa is a stick. She has very skinny legs and even skinnier arms with minimal muscle, as she doesn't do much exercise. She weighs in at about ninety eight pounds. Despite this, she manages to eat lots of sweets and generally unhealthy food, which leads people to joke that she has a black hole in her stomach. She is not particularly curvaceous. Alright, that's an understatement, she's pretty much flat-chested. She's a little insecure about that, but she tries not to think much of it. After all, she's only 13, she has years to go.

Mischa wears pretty much anything she finds pretty. This mainly consists of very summery clothing, like blouses, cute tees, the occasional dress, skirts, jeans, and shorts, all in lots of bright colors. She likes leggings and jewelry and other accessories like hats and sunglasses. Sometimes she'll wear something Max thinks is too mature for her, like a short skirt, but she'll wear it anyway.

When Mischa shifts into a ferret, she shrinks substantially. You may have thought she was short before, but as a ferret, she is a mere twenty inches, and that is including her five inch tail! She shrinks down less than to one thirtieth of her weight at three pounds. She becomes long and slender and covered with white fur with light patches of brown and black fur in certain places such as around her face and back. Her hands and feet become small and perfect for digging while her eyes become small and beady. Her face elongates, growing a snout and whiskers and her ears migrate to the top of her head and shrink.[/size]

Mischa grew up in a happy, typically normal family. Her mother loved theater, so she and her brother Max were exposed to a lot of it growing up. Even in elementary school, she'd play little roles in the local plays. These were mainly small roles, like a fairy or an orphan in Oliver Twist. She loved being in plays, and grew up loving plays. She also took up dancing, singing, and art, whereas her brother focused on acting.

While Max spent much of his childhood on his uncle's farm, Mischa spent much of hers reading and playing pretend games with her friends. When they played house, she was always the mother, and when they played school, she was always the teacher. As the younger sibling who always had to follow her brother, she was somewhat of a leader when she was with her friends.

Mischa was 7 when Max shifted for the first time, and her parents decided that rather than risk she attack someone like Max attacked the pigs, they should tell her what was going to happen and when. She was confused at first, until her father showed her by shifting into a turtle. When he shifted back, he explained that when she was older, she would suddenly shift into an animal, and that this was perfectly normal, and that she should try very hard not to attack anyone.

Two years later, her family was attacked by a mugger. She was home with the baby sitter while Max had been out watching a movie with their parents (it was PG13). The mugger injured her father and killed her mother. She was very sad when this happened, though not as scarred as her father and brother, and she didn't go into a depression or seek therapy, as she didn't actually witness any of the events that night.

It was around this time that Mischa started getting bored by her schoolwork. She found herself doing random research on the internet and looking through books and textbooks that her brother and parents had left lying around the house. Her mother was a therapist, and thus had a few Psychology textbooks, which Mischa tried to read, although she often found herself asking her father and brother what every other word meant. Although she initially found herself very interested in Psychology, she slowly segued into an interest in Sociology over the next few years.

When Mischa woke up on the morning of her twelfth birthday, she had a really bad headache. She at first attributed to the fact that the sun was shining directly through her window and into her face. However, she then felt her skull shifting, bones popping, and her entire body shrinking until she became a ferret. She then burrowed herself under the covers and continued sleeping. When her Dad came to wake her up and hour later, she was still a ferret, and she was still sleeping. He had to wait until two in the afternoon for her to wake up so she could turn back into her human form.

Mischa was then sent off to Shifter Academy. When it came time to choose her major, she picked Sociology, since she was only just getting interested in it. However, she knows that in the future, her interests may change, and with that, her major may change as well.

Like a ferret, Mischa is full of energy. She is very bubbly and bouncy and hyperactive. Give her sugar, and she'll be bouncing off the walls. However, because she uses up so much energy, she also sleeps a lot. Ferrets can sleep up to 15 hours a day, and although Mischa doesn't quite reach these numbers, she goes to bed early and wakes up late, so unless she has something to do, she may get nearly as much. Also like a ferret, Mischa is very social, although also very curious, always trying to learn more about the world around her.
