Strengths:

+ Dancing: Surprisingly Rani is a very well trained dancer. One wouldn't guess it by her studious habits, but just watching the way she moves it is easy to figure out. She has been dancing classical Indian dances since she was five, but never lets anyone know. She feels as if it's a secret that she needs to keep.
+ Studies: Rani knows how to keep her grades up and have everything run smoothly.
+ Children: After babysitting for a few summers it was easy to tell that Rani had a way with younger children.

Weaknesses:

- Guys: Poor poor Rani doesn't have a clue about guys. she couldn't tell if one was flirting with her if he wore a sign and danced in circles. Poor clueless girl.
- Hair: Rani doesn't ever quite know what to do with her hair, which is probably why it's always just hanging around her shoulders.
- Thinker: One wouldn't think this would be a bad thing, but it definitely turns into a curse when you don't balance head and heart. You just live in your head and things can get confusing.

Overall:

DETERMINED+ Rani knows what she wants, and what she needs to do to get it. She is not going to let a little bit of this or that get in her way. Ever. It's a thing she got from having three older brothers. She never was allowed to give up in a house like that. It started with making sure she got the bathroom for a shower, to making sure she passed every class with A++'s nothing was unachievable.
INTELLIGENT+ Her sarcastic and cocky comments are annoying, even when delivered from a very cool, calm, and collected face. But just because she is full of herself does not mean that she isn't a smart cookie. In fact, Rani is very intelligent and can plan out a strategy in minutes. Coming up with intense plans, a more efficient way of studying, or how to sweet mouth another into getting what is needed or wanted. She knows political standings and what to say when. Although she is a pain in the rear, her ideas are usually worth the listen.
DEPENDABLE+ Although Rani tends to be very distant from others on an emotional level, and annoys the shit out of most with her pretentious ways there is one thing that is true about her. She will never let you down. Rani has a very strong sense of loyalty. She will not let a friend down in a time of need. She is very dependable and there whenever one needs her.
HONEST+ Swear by the book. Rani knows what honesty is, and that it will usually get you out of more trouble than people expect. Others are always spouting off lies to avoid trouble, thereby causing a cave-in of lies. Not the greatest way of avoiding problems and clutter.
REALISTIC+ Rani knows what can happen, and what can not. She is not a dreamer, and does not live in a world of fantasy. Her mind is set in the present and near future perhaps. She does not pretend that there will be a perfect world, or that the fighting will ever completely end. but she does recognize that some are more for one or the other. This keeps her very grounded in the middle.
BLUNT- If there is something going on that Rani knows about and she isn't in approval of it, then she is going to let whomever is involved know. She is going to put in her two cents, whether or not it is wanted. She can control what she say, but simply chooses not to, and instead will tell everyone that crosses her path her personal opinions on you. Sometimes Rani can cross the line though, and truly, deeply offend others. It's usually not on purpose though. Rani attempts to get a rouse out of some, but tries not to push it too far. Sometimes things can't be helped though.
NOSEY- Okay okay, so this is a pretty bad one. Rani has a bit of a problem with knowing everything about everyone always and though she wants to know what's going on with every single person doesn't mean she is giving out secrets to anyone else, and you can count on that. She wants to know, correction needs to know, but nobody else is getting that information unless they go to the source. She's a hypocrite too if you didn't figure that one out.
COCKY- Rani is very sure of herself. Although she is rather young, she has been told from a very young age what an 'amazing' girl she was and how talented and smart she was. That was just adding gas to an already blazing inferno of ego. She does not try to hide that she is good at a number of different things and it can become quite irritating. Especially since she is usually telling the truth when she is spouting off about her general 'amazingness.' Many want to give her a good smack and knock her off of her high horse.
TEMPER- Whenever Rani doesn't get what she has worked for, when she doesn't get what she wants, or whenever something is out of her hands her temper is going to flare. It is usually always right under the surface so be careful about that. Rani is mostly a bunch of hot air when she is mad, and it's not like she is physically capable of hurting anyone in or out of her shift. But at times Rani can really let something lose that will hurt someone deeply.
JUDGMENTAL- This does not mean that if another cat has a reputation stuck to their name Brightpaw is going to keep that reputation stuck there. Actually, Brightpaw will make her own decision on every cat. Some are wrong, others more along the right tracks, but judging by her own personal opinions brightpaw can end up really putting a harsh label on a cat. And aside from being judgmental, her grudges die hard, or not at all. She is a proud little cat with a high opinion of her clan, therefore the traitors that she fears will almost never gain back respect in her eyes. Same goes for other circumstances involving any type of betrayal.

Introducing Rani! The exotic Indian beauty. From the top then. Rani has the exotic look down pat, considering that she is a bit exotic herself. Her Indian features are evident to anyone who sees her. She has a head full of thick dark brown hair that can reach to about her waist. Her hair is a lovely dark auburn because she puts henna in her hair to add to it's vigor and health. To say the least, Rani takes exceptional care of that head of locks. It frames her face rather nicely too. Her her face is always clean, as she was taught when having oily skin like any Indian. Her skin is tanned darkly like any belonging to her culture, but it is a lighter than normal. Which, in an Indian's eyes is a beautiful trait indeed. Her eyes are big and brown, with a pull at the corners to give them a more seductive look than the traditional innocent big eyes. She will swipe a bit of 'kajol', or eyeliner as most know it, on them as her daily makeup of choice. This leads to the color of her eyes. They are an interesting brown, they are not simply deep chocolate eyes, but have a certain tint to them that keeps them lighter than most. Two finely sculpted, thick, dark eyebrows sit atop her brow. And yes, sculpted is the word. When your one from the blood she comes from you know that waxing eyebrows is not negotiable--its a must. To move down a bit, her cheekbones are high enough to be considered in her face and seem to keep her smile brighter. Speaking of smiles, her lips are smooth and sweet, like any girls and dimples come out when she smiles small. Rani's nose does not reflect her Indian blood very well. Instead of being larger and an extremely prominent feature on her face Rani's nose is a bit smaller and pointer. Her entire face is in a heart shape with a not to pointy chin to top it off. A rather lovely face no doubt.

Next on the list is her build. Rani is a rather tall girl with long legs and a small frame. Her bone structure wasn't made for strength, but Rani does try to keep in shape. She has long, slim arms with hands that have long, piano fingers. Although that is not her instrument of choice.Or her instrument at all. Rani grew up with all boys so her nails are usually small stubs. She has long, long legs with a small torso atop it. Small being the operative word here. She isn't a 'big' girl and that doesn't bother her in the least. At times she wants to maybe know what it feels like to have a guy look at her and take another glimpse, but she doesn't have too much to offer so her realistic brain will sweep it under the rug. Not only is her chest a little less than there, but her rear end seems to be matching. At least it's the same all over. A good thing about being small in both of those areas is that a small waist is almost guaranteed!

Now that her human form has been summed up lets cover her shift. Rani's shift is a lean and elegant doe. Nothing to extraordinary like a wild and crazy predator. But it works none the less. She is long and lean with a reddish brown coat. Her underbelly is a pure white that goes under her tail, hence the name a white tailed deer. She is a rather lean animal and has long skinny limbs to walk around on. Her nose is big and black, sometimes wet. Her ears are large as well, they have tuffs of fur on the inside of them. Her lean, slim face has a pair of deep, dark brown eyes staring out. They are so dark that they are almost black.

Last, but certainly not least, is Rani's style. And perhaps the fact that she is able to dress herself at all is a miracle and this paragraph should be dedicated to brilliant miracles like her fashion sense. Leena has a very quirks sense of style. Although in her heart what she wants to wear is a pair of pants and a tee shirt she is able to dress for many occasions. Having such a simple frame to dress never hurt either. Rani is seen in simple clothing though, that would be a good way to describe it. One color, one belt, and perhaps a few bangles and a necklace. She doesn't do much with her hair besides let it hang loose around her shoulders though, so it adds to the whole 'simple but cute' aspect of her wardrobe.

Rani Khan was brought into the world after three older brothers. She had a truly loving family and there was never any problem. She never knew about the shifter world as she grew up, even though her father shifted into an Elk and her middle brother into Reindeer. The family kept it hidden to figure out i she would have the gene or not. Her life went by pretty easily until that fateful night. Rani was only six years old whenever her eldest brother came out of the house to meet her an the baby sitter dropping her off. She figured he was just happy to see her, but after he paid the teenage sitter with shaking hands and a glassy eyed expression on his face he didn't allow Rani into the house. Both of her parents were hard working doctors so if anything went wrong Rani was sure that they would be able to handle it. The problem was that Raj, her middle brother had reached puberty and it turned out he was a carrier of the gene. He had changed after her mother had yelled at him for getting a note home that he was failing three classes and was grounded. He became enraged and changed. His shift didn't have it's full set of antlers yet, but he was big. He injured her mother. Fatally. She had al;ready been rushed to the ER, but there was still blood all over the kitchen. That night her mother died.

Nobody every really forgave Raj after that night, including himself. Nobody except Rani. She loved her mother more than the world, but having her snatched from her at such a young age Rani was unable to fully process it all. So she stayed close with her brothers. Her father taught Raj how to control his shift and then he was sent to the Academy. Rani then grew up rather normally. As normally as a girl can without a mother. She became determined to make an impression on her father and show him how amazing she could be. But he was never quite the same after he lost her mother. So she would go above and beyond, helping out in the family business, which would be racing. If you have heard of the Khans then you would know her oldest brother Adam Khan and his crazy fast ways on the track. How he tragically lost his mother to a savage animal and in the shifter world they hold their own as well. Being a well known family her father will help young boys control their shift before being sent to the academy. Its a family business as well one might guess. But soon thats all it ever was. Family business work, and that was it. Her brothers and father loved her no doubt, but it was clear that they were all distant. Except for her and Raj. They kept in contact and stayed close, especially till that one day when the family realized that Rani was a shift.

She was fourteen years old, in her room, studying for her final exams when Adam popped his head in to say that it was her turn to look over the Racing money books to look for mistakes. She yelled at him to get out and for him to do it but there was a system. About ten minutes later Uzair came in to say that he was going to be having a party that weekend so he needed her help cleaning the house soon. She almost exploded ten and there. She could feel an odd sensation all over her skin whenever her father finally walked it. She exploded expecting that he needed something as well, and she experienced the shift. It was odd, terrifying, and her father looked almost disappointed as he watched her. She saw that look too and felt ashamed of the shift immediately. Her father didn't like the whole fact that his baby girl was a monster as well. He yelled something to her brothers and he shifted quickly himself. His huge elk shift towering over her lean whit-tailed doe. She was in complete control though. Perhaps being such a control freak her entire life helped her. She stood in front of her father and walked around the room a bit. Deep down she felt pride for the graceful animal she could change into, but her father was only grateful she wasn't some killer. He shifted back as quickly as he had shifted into Elk form. Rani had some trouble finding out how to do that. Her father advised that she run until she wore herself out. It would be the easiest way to change back when she was so new. The family had allot of land to run along so that is just what she did. Rani can still remember the thrill of that first run. But after that she was sent off to the Academy the next week.

She talked to her brother, who taught her to appreciate her shift and really embrace it. Since then she has been attending the academy, keeping in contact with her brothers and making sure she kept improving herself. Rani has made quite a name for herself in the Academy and will continue to do so.

I personally see Rani as a doe, or deer physically. Both are very long, lean females with dark skin. Or in the doe's case-fur. They seem to fit one another in the sense that they are both very graceful creatures with long, lean legs. Rani is a dancer in her bedroom basically. And I see does to be very graceful creatures themselves, like deer.
