Locke Phythos Midgarstrum ☣☣ Take a look, this is how it is ;; Teacher of Languages I, II, and Intro to Psychology; Locke looks actually far older then he is. While his maturity is also very rapid in it’s development—he finds himself out of place quite often. He is a quiet but harsh individual, and obscenely easy to get along with as an acquaintance unless he expects something of them. Locke is twenty-four years of age, although he is easily mistaken for older by his peers. His body is slender, built for flexibility and length over actual muscular triumphs like most men his age. While he seems rather sly and docile, another side of him that can come out is extremely dangerous considering he is highly toxic. Locke is at least 6’2” without shoes on and is completely skeletal in his frame; able to compress his ribcage, unhook his jaw, and other serpentine talents. He morphs into the King Cobra.
His profile is here. They say a snake is treacherous, but they obviously don’t know me;; FRIENDS Despite what some might originally believe, Locke is a trustworthy friend with enough loyalty to put himself into abrupt danger for the sake of others. He is known to be protective over those he cares deeply for, and those he has sworn to protect, not bothering to think twice as long as he feels justified in what he is doing for them. Difficult to approach at first; Locke is primarily apathetic but subservient to others and their needs. Growing up in severe isolation voided him of any possibility of gaining companions, or at least permanent ones. He struggles with showing empathy towards others when in complex situations, but when it comes to kick it into high gear Locke’s the first to hit his ‘defend’ button. He can be an extreme passive-aggressive, and should be handled with care in many circumstances. If someone seeks a devoted partner till the end, Locke is a safe bet to go with. When platonic trust, love, and companionship are given to him and properly returned; it becomes a bond he is inept of parting with.To you I might as well be a lean, mean, fighting machine;; ENEMIES It actually takes a lot to get under Locke’s skin. A lot, and that’s not even taking into account that he is quite the vengeful creature. Forgiveness is not something that comes lightly to him, and nether is anger unless someone hits the right buttons. One of the very few things that gets his gears turning is his family background, as well as grudges he can hold against prior wrongdoings. Specifically towards students or himself, and things that relate to his past. Being ignored, taunted, or hit doesn’t exactly bring out the beast in him. However, if one is unlucky enough to bring up his mother in a negative prospect—or do anything mentally or physically harmful towards an individual he adores; they will pay the price. Locke’s attitude does a complete 180 when his fury is unleashed. His conscious breaks, and pure animalistic need to brawl becomes his one and only concern.
Locke will strike continuously, ready to fight to the death if need be. There is no fight or flight within him; when all the cards are down it’s only win or lose. He’s hotheaded and stubborn when riled, but luckily he can eventually fatigue himself until the point he passes out—or he is beaten to the point of losing his consciousness or life. It is the only possible way to get the onslaught to stop, Locke will continue to struggle until his mind is taken or forced into shut-down.
As stated before, he can hold grudges; normally he will not act upon them until he feels it has pushed it’s boundry. He will also do—without hesitation, something that a loved one would desire. Especially those who are considered to be like his family. Which means it is possible he would commit murder, if provoked to do so.The greatest thing you will ever learn, is to love and be loved in return;; LOVERS Rare, considering Locke can hardly bring himself to trust others of his own kind—much less love another man or woman. His sexuality is a very slim margin of the spectrum; Asexual— with occasional Bisexual tendencies. Snakes are known for being either void of sexual imagery, or symbolizing both the phallus and womb at the exact same time; meaning they are full of sexual desires. Locke chooses to remain indifferent when it comes to sexual relationships; however if a friendship or bond ends up passing into the realm of ‘love,’ Locke dismisses what sex or sexuality they may be. While he keeps his own emotions in check, it is not unheard of for him to house feelings for any other individual or beings like himself. Locke chooses to keep his relationships on the down low, if not voice them at all, unless asked. He is constantly seen treating both sexes in the same manner, aiding others in their own search for release—but never seeking out anything of his own.
However, if he does consume liquor—or is triggered by an outside source; another side can emerge from his ‘indifferent’ stance. Some snakes are players in orgies, constantly seeking partners whether they’re male or female. Meaning Locke can sometimes prefer to have multiple lovers of multiple sexes all at once; depending on the circumstance at hand. Due to other ‘negative’ side effects alcohol tends to have on him (since his tattoo was made on one of those escapades) he steers clear of it for obvious reasons. It isn’t just booze that can set him off, but luckily repressing it has gotten him quite far. He’s brutally honest with such things as love, so it never hurts to ask.[/blockquote] I'll need a few takers, so don't be afraid to come out and try me.
I don't bite. Locke does, though!

;o; Don't bite me Locke, I want to live, please.
So, right. He has good control over his shift, by the sounds of it. And \o/ Anja really needs help in that department, and seeing as he's an adult, she'd more easily be willing to ask for help, though I'm not sure how'd that come around, or if you're even willing. She's terrified of her form xD Since, well, yeah \o/ *Accidental Cannibalism here*
But yes <3 I'll totally try and think of something else if that doesn't work.

Oh, that would be lovely. I will warn you though, Locke is a perfectionist at times. If he feels you aren't giving your 100% he will shut down and go all apathetic. Kind of like "Why aren't you doing what I know you can do? This is pointless. Try harder! Nothing comes with nothing." But don't let that fool you, he is rather sweet and caring. He just struggles to show it sometimes. He might act all "Whatever..try this instead," but he would really care about her controlling her shift. Giving her just enough reassurance should help too. He's not always like that, but for students he will be flexible and give all he has for them.
c: Everything seems fine. If you think of anything else though, feel free to post it for me.

Thank you! That is so flattering. <3

Ah, perfect. In general, by teaching of her parents, she believes that life is short and that she can do anything--Give for turning into a fly. It's one of her biggest fears, and because of that xD She might end up disappointing him at first, but I think pretty quickly she'd try to push harder on herself, and that pesky fear given his personality. Hmm, how is he for discussions? Maybe they can also debate together? She used to love to debate, but hasn't been feeling so much herself as of late after leaving home. -Shaggy

Ah, as long as he gets her to try--he won't care. He'll know when she's giving it her all, but he won't settle for something that he feels she can do better. Kind of like that old, you-are-wasting-my-time quote. It's for her own safety that she learns to control it, and he'd be more then happy with aiding her. He might be disappointed, but it will hopefully propel her more to succeed, don't you think? Well--perhaps. Haha.
Locke loves to debate. While he's open minded, he loathes being backed up into a corner--and if you do challenge him to a debate, his tongue is about as fast as his bites. Very quick, and very hard. xD Of course, because he has been so many places, and his sexuality--she might have a lot to debate about with him. It'd be interesting. He also isn't afraid to tell someone they're doing something idiotic, so that might be a plus for her to bicker with him a wee bit.

;o; Ah, that sounds perfect.
Now to figure out how this would end up happening xD Maybe she can see him controlling his shift, and happens to walk upon him in cobra form. XD If she stepped on it, would he be able to control it, or something of that sort that would make her go? Woahholyshi. Kind of thing.
XD I'm sorry. It's like 3am. So my--yeah. \o/

Hah, xD That last sentence I have nooo idea what you meant, but so far it sounds good.
Locke tends to transform at will, normally at least three times a day. He's a very strict trainer, even on himself. Sometimes the transformation causes him pain, though; since his arms and legs and bones are under constant strain and growth within that body. Due to his high tolerance, he can get beaten up as a Cobra and still be able to hold his shape. He's rather well off, actually. He is easier to piss off as a Cobra though, that's the only thing she might have to worry about. I doubt he'd hurt her though. He'd just get a whiff of her scent, transform back into his humanoid shape and glare.
There might be a mixture of; "stupid girl, watch where you step. You could have killed someone." Locke can be snappy. xD I feel bad for the poor thing already, actually. I'm sure this would work wonderfully. Just don't expect a friendly greeting if she steps somewhere she shouldn't have. I'd imagine him being on the desk though, or getting some sun. She could attempt to wake him by prodding/petting. Both of which he dislikes.

He seems rather like Barsuk. The 'fight to the death' thing, and the determination and perfectionism. I can see them getting along and sharing tactics and such a few times, since Barsuk was top of his class in the 'fighting' aspects of his military training.
I can just see them getting along for some reason.

WOW. so basically, Locke is just about everything Hatter hates in life. First of all, there's no chance for a decent relationship because of Locke's shift. Mongooses and cobras are vicious natural enemies, so that would carry over to Hatter's human form as well. He also would see Locke as a bit of a disgrace to youthfulness (Hatter's 23) and has a thing against people who act/look older than they actually are because he feels they are wasting the "best years" of their lives. Also, I wouldnt blame Locke if he treated Hatter like he was a joke. Again, Hatter would instantaneously hate him just for his shift. He prefers to attack first and ask questions later when it comes to handling cobras.
So, any specific thoughts?
