Overall: [400 words minimum]
If it's one thing you should really know about Avery, it would be the fact that she loves to trick people. The humor (at least to her) of tricking someone is like a drug to her. She cannot live through her entire life without fooling someone. Although if you're close enough to her, Av would try to tone it down, but you cannot be too sure when she'll strike. But one thing's for sure, even though this dark-haired beauty loves fooling someone, she does not enjoy it when she gets a taste of her own medicine. Sometimes because of her trickery, people tend to shun her. But it doesn't really matter if she's related to you as a friend, enemy or something else, because it just happens to anyone she has seen before, at the very least.
Her determination and stubbornness wouldn't exactly compliment each other, but when she has set her mind to doing something, it is almost impossible to get Avery to change her mind. The slight possibility, however, would only apply to people she trusts. Due to the fact that she had been betrayed by a friend before, trust is something that does not come easily to her. Just be reminded that she'll treat you the same way you treat her. Well, unless she loathes you, and that would be an entirely different story.
Also another thing about Avery: She sucks at love. She had about three relationships so far in her entire life... And it all ended badly, but it was mostly her fault. She cannot let herself go when she's with her boyfriend, and is always uptight. She judges too much and has insane standards, which would scare off her boyfriends sooner or later. Despite this little fact, her boyfriends had always stayed by her. The relationship would always end when Av wrongly accuses the boyfriend of something incredibly stupid, mainly because she's insecure about herself. There's loads of people out there that compliment Av for being pretty and all, but she doesn't believe because they can't see what she can see.
She's quite dark too. Avery hates opening up to people and telling them about herself. Trust issues, yes, but it also seems like you're boasting about something when you start telling your life story. She keeps her problems and secrets to herself. Sure, she'll listen to you when you start pouring your problems to her. In fact she would be more than happy to help out, but most of the time Avery would be distracted, thinking about something else. She has a thing for violence too... The thrill of the fight, before and after included, gives her a high. Adrenalin, perhaps. And maybe a little bit of endorphin. Now even though she has a dark side to her, Avery would NEVER smoke or take any drugs. She does not believe in poisoning her system. Although, she doesn't have qualms about alcohol. So drink away!
Don't let her looks fool you (like she fools people). Avery is actually quite intelligent, and she loves reading novels. From romance to science-fiction... Anything interesting, really. Back in those days where she was more human than animal, she always aced her tests and topped her class. Talk to her about a classic, and she'll gladly discuss with you about how stupid the main character is, or something along those lines. Though she prefers modern novels to classic novels, but a book is a book.

Celebrity Play By: Amanda Hendrick
Appearance: [400 words minimum]
It's pretty simple to explain the basic looks like eye and hair color, weight, clothing, piercings, tattoos, make-up, and other extra things. You also must go into detail about what the animal portion of your character looks like. If you're a snake, great but what kind of snake, what do you look like etc. Both of these are important and must be explained as detailed and as thoroughly as possible
...history

[400 words minimum]
Although it says 400 words, we still need you to be thorough. Family MUST be mentioned along with young childhood and adolescence. This character is, in essense, you, so make sure you are providing yourself with enough background to roleplay them. Keep in mind that shifting is genetic, so somewhere in your family there must be more shifting going on. Also, you must describe the day you shifted for the first time.
...connecting human to animal
[One Paragraph Minimum (Can be point form)]
Explain why your character shifts into the animal that it does. Why is it this animal and not a different one? Is it your courage? Your adventure seeking personality? Your hawk-like eyes? Tell us about the connection between your human and inner animal. And please don't say "It was their favorite animal growing up." Good resources to understand this better are questions 6 and 7 in the FAQ's.

In most of his life (and existence), Jeremiah had never hurt a lady before, at least physically speaking. He was still the same little boy his Ma had raised him to be, just that he was bigger, and hopefully smarter than that. He thought that it was ungentlemanly and absurd to have to hurt a lady. They were such delicate creatures it was almost impossible to think of hurting them. Of course, he had seen his fair share of women that simply was too hard to be tolerated, but he had merely just scared them off using his animal-like instincts. Like his cold stare that had always been there when he was in some sort of battle mode. It was usually enough to scare the women away, and he never had to hurt them. Although there was one occasion where one of them had gotten far too out of hand, and against his upbringing, he had slapped her, but that was all. Compared to what he actually did to people that pissed him off, that was hardly anything at all. Jeremiah wasn't proud to admit, but he had killed people before, and he was not afraid when it comes down to it. But that was life and death. Survival of the fittest. That was what he had always thought. When it all boils right down to it, all everyone would be thinking about is themselves. And saving their own skins.
He stared warily at the shifter in front of him, aware that a few steps was all it took to deal a blow from either person. Jeremiah didn't want to hurt her, and something inside of him went sour at the thought of it. He reckoned it was because that they had been such good friends before she had completely disappeared to god knows where, and hurting a friend wasn't big on his list. Although, the incident that involved his father and best friend... Well, that would be an exception, because his best friend had supposedly just shot his father dead. That boy was a few years older than Jeremiah had been, and he obviously owned the place. Everyone was scared of that boy, and somehow, Jeremiah's father had managed to offend him, which lead to the death of his father. Jeremiah was fuck pissed when he saw what that asshole had did to his father, so pissed that he had shifted into what he could today – a cheetah – and attacked the boy. He had been so close to killing him, but the shout from another neighborhood boy and stopped him just in time, as he suddenly realized what he was doing, and ran away from the scene. Jeremiah had heard of what happened afterward. The neighborhood boy had thought the cheetah had escaped from a wildlife sanctuary nearby, and killed Jeremiah's father and attacked the asshole. That was far from the truth, and no matter how much he had wanted to correct that, he knew he couldn't. Because once he said anything about that little incident, it was as good as admitting that he had been there at the scene, and one thing leads to another... He might have been accused for everything he never did. Except to that boy of course, which he had never regretted for a day. Perhaps it was cruel, but that boy deserved it for killing his Pa. He had of course silently admitted it to his Ma about what he knew, but instead of shouting at him, his Ma gave him a look. She had understood everything, but didn't blame Jeremiah for it. That was the only thing that had kept him alive throughout those times. Plus that little incident had made him stronger, and he no longer felt any sympathy for anyone but his family. He couldn't trust anyone outside, and basically everyone was afraid of him, because every single time someone challenged him to a fight, they would lose hands-down in a flash. That uncanny speed he had because he was a shifter was a pretty good thing. Of course then he didn't know anything about the Night World, and certainly not the fact that he was a shifter.
Jeremiah absolutely hated the term 'lost'. Whether it was losing someone dear, or losing a fight, it wasn't something pleasant to anyone. He had grown up aiming to win, and never losing to anyone. Jeremiah also tried protecting his closed ones because he did not want to lose them. He was determined to accomplish that, but he had already failed in protecting his loved ones. Leaving his family alone... He wondered if they were still alive now, wondering where he was. The last time he had checked, another damned shifter had visited his Ma and spilled everything about Jeremiah and the Night World. He knew that it was dangerous for a human to know about the Night World, but yet he couldn't bear to return. He was ashamed of himself, for one thing. Now that his mother knew what he was up to, the more he was afraid of returning back home. The only thing that Jeremiah had done was to send another close shifter to look after his family once every week and check back with him to tell him what he knew. As long as none of the other Night Worlders knew about his Ma, he could rest a part of his mind. His family would be his biggest weakness, and no one wanted to give anyone an opening to strike. But his family was also his biggest motivator, and anything that wanted to harm them had to go through him first, and he will most definitely not let them get past him and to his family. It would be another story if he was defeated, but Jeremiah would never let that happen. Taylor's voice broke him out of his reverie and he cursed at himself silently for not keeping his guard up and let the mess in his mind distract him.
“Nope. It doesn’t, and if i was you Jeremiah, I’d get the hell out of here, because I’m getting bored of talk.” Jeremiah smiled sadly, and said, "I wouldn't expect you to remember something from so long ago." After that little sentence, he forced himself to get rid of all the emotions that had been clouding his mind that night. He wouldn't change something that was too far from his control. It was even harder to convince Taylor of whatever he had in mind, because she was hella stubborn. Probably for the first time in his life, he wanted to give up and just stop caring. He had to stop feeling first before all... that. "I won't be leaving anytime soon though," and in one smooth motion, he had swung himself up the tree that he had been hiding for a part of the night and perched on the branch precariously, his left arm gripping onto the branch, the only thing that kept his balance. He looked down at her, expression blank. It wouldn't matter if she didn't recall anything from the past anyway. He wouldn't have one less friend. Taylor would just remain as part of his past, and he would forget this encounter. Most likely his mind would just repress like it was so used to doing. Despite thinking that, something tugged at him, telling him that it wasn't supposed to end up like that. Perhaps it wasn't, but Jeremiah was suddenly overcome with fatigue that he didn't know what to do anymore. He did not like being helpless one bit. He liked to know what to do, and not knowing what to do just meant that you were weak. Weak was something that did not describe Jeremiah, and it wasn't going to be one of his adjectives anytime soon. Certainly not tonight. If she started the fight, he would have to play along. His claws shot out, and he clenched his fist tightly, letting the sharp claws sink into his flesh, grateful for the sudden focus that the pain had brought him. His eye color lightened, indicating that he was close to shifting. He would be able to shift in a second's notice, and he will if it was really necessary. Jeremiah hoped not. If he had to fight, he would rather do it in his human form, because he couldn't inflict as much damage compared to being in his animal form. This time, his aim was different than usual. He didn't want to hurt anyone.
