It's pretty simple to explain the basic looks like eye and hair color, weight, clothing, piercings, tattoos, make-up, and other extra things. You also must go into detail about what the animal portion of your character looks like. If you're a snake, great but what kind of snake, what do you look like etc. Both of these are important and must be explained as detailed and as thoroughly as possible[/size]

Although it says 400 words, we still need you to be thorough. Family MUST be mentioned along with young childhood and adolescence. This character is, in essense, you, so make sure you are providing yourself with enough background to roleplay them. Keep in mind that shifting is genetic, so somewhere in your family there must be more shifting going on. Also, you must describe the day you shifted for the first time.

Explain why your character shifts into the animal that it does. Why is it this animal and not a different one? Is it your courage? Your adventure seeking personality? Your hawk-like eyes? Tell us about the connection between your human and inner animal. And please don't say "It was their favorite animal growing up." Good resources to understand this better are questions 6 and 7 in the FAQ's.
