Overall: [400 words minimum]
Theodore has what can best be described as a quirky personality. At his heart he wants nothing more than to find a place where he feels like he belongs. He wants to find a nice place to live and have a close group of good friends. He is friendly to anyone who will give him the chance, and doesn’t like to judge people before he gets to know them. Of course he can’t help making some judgements about people the first time he meets them but the ignores this as much as he can.
Even though he spends quite a lot of time on his own, and likes to have some time to himself, he likes being around people. In a large crowd, however, he can feel lost and overwhelmed. He likes making a small group of friends who he bonds with closely. He feels like he can be himself when around a small group of people. That being said he usually shows his true self to anyone. He doesn’t change how he acts or make things up when around certain people. Some people would say he trusts too easily, he feels that everyone should be given a chance, no matter who they are.
Usually he is a cheerful and energetic person. He doesn’t like to take life to seriously, though he is quite well grounded. He likes to remain optimistic, but this doesn’t always work for him in practice. He isn’t brave and doesn’t pretend otherwise. He was once told that showing your weaknesses made you more human. When he gets frightened he finds himself wanting to shift into his animal form. He can sometimes resist but often finds himself changing almost uncontrollably. Even though he has been told it’s ok to show your weaknesses he still doesn’t like to admit that he’s scared, it never stops him but he dislikes saying it.
Theo often rushes into things without thinking. He likes nothing more than jumping straight in and tackling a situation and so often doesn’t give it any real thought. This has led to him being burned in the past, but he never really learns his lesson. His problem is that he is impatient and can’t stay still for long. There are some times where he can stand to be in one place, like when he’s comfortable or when he’s reading or learning. Theo likes learning and makes sure to take every opportunity he can to learn something new. He doesn’t actively search out knowledge most of the time, there are far more interesting things to do, but he does take every opportunity that he is given.

Celebrity Play By: Freddie Highmore
Appearance: [400 words minimum]
Theodore isn’t outwardly noticeable. He is small, standing at just 5’ 5’’ and weighing about 120lbs. Because of his small height it is easy for him to hide or get lost, especially in a crowd. He doesn’t have any distinguishing features, which makes him easy to forget appearance wise. He is fairly thin and doesn’t have much meat or muscle on him. As such he looks about as threatening as a cuddly toy. His hair is usually medium to long length and always messy. Most people will spot him in a crowd by his hair. It isn’t messy because he doesn’t try to sort it out, it is just impossible to control. He eventually gave up on even trying to manage it and let it stay messy, developing it into a kind of style. His face is in the same style as his body, with no really prominent features. He usually wears a small, quirky smile, which catches people’s eye. He has been told his smile is quite infectious. His eyes are a pale, cloudy blue. They aren’t striking but seem calming to most people who gaze upon them. Unless he is scared, of course, in which case they seem pleading and sad. The thing that makes Theo noticeable is the way he presents himself. Most people would describe him as bouncy and cheerful and he is usually bursting with energy. When his energy runs out or when he is nervous or scared however, he seems to shrink and makes himself as un-noticeable as possible.
His style is based around functionality and comfort. He is almost always seen in a t-shirt, sometimes plain or sometimes with a quote or picture across the front. He dislikes big logos or silly patterns stitched into the fabric and so tend to avoid them. He usually couples this with a pair of baggy, comfortable jeans. These are always plain and un-patterned, though they sometimes have rips in them from overuse. He will occasionally wear a jacket, often with a hood. Even in the warmer months. He has a high heat tolerance and likes warmth, even though a lot of people say it’s weird.
Theo’s animal form is that of a fennec fox. The fennec is a small, desert dwelling fox. When in this form Theo shrinks to around 30cm long and 2.6lbs. He stands around 20cm tall. His fur is a cream colour and has a soft, fluffy feel to it. He has a long, fluffy tail with a black tip which is about three quarters of his body length. His body is the typical lean, thing body of all foxes. His most distinguishing feature, however, is his ears, which are nearly 15cm long and provide him with both an excellent sense of hearing and his cute looks. They are large in proportion to the rest of his body and can be used to cool him down if he needed it. One feature he keeps are his cloudy eyes, which have the same calming look as when he is human. [400 words minimum]
It was a cold, wet night in London when Theodore was brought into the world. There were complications during his birth, and both he and his mother nearly died. But, in the early hours of the morning on the 22nd of January, Theodore Stevenson was born. His life started in much the same way as it continues today. He was always an energetic child, forever getting into mischief and trying to explore everywhere he could. He constantly annoyed his parents by running off when he was supposed to be eating or wandering away on his own. Although he was constantly bursting with energy he would always sit down and watch or listen if he was being taught something. This might have just been because learning for younger children was made as fun as possible. Whether or not that was the case, Theo has always loved learning when the opportunity is presented to him. His younger years weren’t perfect but were as good as they could have been, and he wouldn’t have had them any other way. His family wasn’t rich and lived in a small terraced house in the east end of London. Theo attended a small primary school. He wasn’t as loud as some of the kids but had just as much energy and made friends easily. By the time he was six he had a small group of close friends. He was almost never seen out of the company of at least one of them. But when he was six years old things started to go wrong. His mother was killed in a hit and run four months after Theo turned 6. Theo took her death hard, and was never really the same afterwards. He lost some of his confidence, and seemed to scare more easily. He couldn’t explain it, but he had always felt safe when his mother had been alive. She was always there to comfort and care for him. But suddenly she was gone. There was a change in Theo’s father too. He never seemed as happy after his wife’s death. In time both Theo and Mark recovered from the loss of Annabelle, but both were changed.
Things were never quite as good after Annabelle Stevenson died. Theo was allowed a lot more freedom and, though he loved that he could pretty much do what he wanted but couldn’t help feeling that maybe his dad didn’t love him as much as he used to. He started spending a lot more time on the streets with his friends, who had grown into something of a school gang. Since there wasn’t much for kids to do on the streets of London they often resorted to misbehaviour. It was all harmless but it did land them in trouble more than once with people in the neighbourhood. And with his father. At some point in these years he obtained the nickname cub, though even he can’t remember where it came from. The group were always making up names and titles for each other and some just stuck. It was a strange name but he liked it more than Theodore. Even though things seemed bad at times Theo was still a happy and energetic child who, despite being mischievous, loved learning and always paid attention in school. He wasn’t a fast learner but he gave it his best shot.
When he was 10 years old his father met Sarah and was married within a year. Theo fell into the typical child – stepmother relationship of not getting along at all. Theo felt that there was no-one who could replace his real mother and Sarah felt that since Theo wasn’t her child she owed him nothing and didn’t have to love him. Mark felt that Theo was over-reacting. All of this resulted in Theo spending less and less time at home. Over the next two years Theo’s relationship with his father deteriorated to such an extent that he was only at home when he needed to be, and all but stopped talking to Mark. The thing that got to him though was that his father didn’t seem to make an effort to get him to stay. He seemed happy to let his only son slip away. Theo’s 12th birthday showed just how big the rift between Theo and his father had become. His father bought him a card and a present and wished him a good birthday, but the party was held at one of his friend’s houses. After the party he was walking home with a friend who lived near him when he found himself changing. He was shrinking and, what was stranger, his skeleton was changing shape. His features were deforming. He found himself literally becoming animal. His friend saw everything. Before long he had changed completely. And he lost his mind. He just couldn’t comprehend what had happened to him, and he attacked. He was only small, but he was vicious. His friend was still in shock from what he had seen and wasn’t prepared for the sudden attack. It took him a while to fight back, but when he did he hit hard. Theo quickly stopped biting and scratching and started running; he never was a fighter and even in his uncontrolled animal form he would rather avoid conflict. He didn’t know how long he ran for, but when he stopped he was nowhere near his house. The change back to human cane just as unexpectedly as the first shift had, and soon Theo was fully human again, alone and scared in an alley way somewhere in London. He made his way back home, luckily his dad was out with his wife so no-one noticed him arriving. The next day he got a call saying that his friend had been attacked by an animal and was in shock and that he couldn’t really remember or say what had happened. Theo didn’t know whether to be relieved or scared. As the year progressed Theo found that he was actually staying at home rather than going out with his friends. Even after the one he attacked had recovered he still didn’t want to be around them in case the same happened again. In time, though, he found that he could shift when he wanted to, and control himself as an animal. He still didn’t know why and so kept it a secret, becoming quite reclusive. This was when he really started listening to music and singing along.
On his 13th birthday his father gave him a letter. It was from his mother and told him that he was a shifter, like his mother had been. It gave him information and a number to call. It put him in touch with someone from the shifter academy. They sorted out everything with his dad and before long Theo found himself packing his bags to leave. He was glad to get away from the city. He saw it as a chance to start over and do things right.

(From another RP site)
The day had been long. Long and boring. Daniel had been working since 9 in the morning and hadn't had a chance to go home until now, probably about 12 hours later. He had been asked to stay in for twice as long as usual because some staff hadn't shown up and he couldn't bring himself to refuse to his boss, not without feeling guilty for the rest of the day. Did all bosses have the ability to guilt you to the point where you can't enjoy the day or was that just his boss? Maybe it was just him who was easy to guilt? That was probably right, damn feelings working so well and making him feel guilty. Anyway, that didn't matter now, he was done, he was free... and he had missed his bus.
Daniel didn't like busses anyway. To crowded, too many people, too many opportunities for unpleasantness. He liked walking really, so missing the bus wasn't that much of a big deal. The bus probably wouldn't have many people on at this time anyway, even if it was still running. So he walked along the street casually, it was late and there weren't a lot of people about now. Just a few random wanderers. Daniel liked using this time to think, not about anything in particular, he just let his mind wander. He often at some point wondered how some people could be so monumentally thick. 'excuse me can you please tell me where the bread is?' was one of the questions he had today. Seemed innocent enough. Daniel's answer had been 'certainly sir, it's behind you under the large bread sign'. He didn't know how he'd managed to get someone asking him where they kept the lawn mower blades though, his market wasn't that super. He wasn't sure where you'd buy lawn mower blades actually, probably in a DIY shop or somewhere similar. The logical answer would be somewhere you can buy lawn mowers. He'd never owned a lawn mower, no need to when you own a flat. Why was he thinking this much about lawn mowers? Strange.
Daniel was very strange though, in more ways than one. He had this strange power. An unexplained ability. He wanted more than anything to know at least something about it, to have just a little information. To, hopefully know how to control it. He swerved to avoid some young couple who were so engrossed in each other's faces that they weren't looking where they were going. Daniel looked behind him to see whether they would notice the lamp post that they were approaching. They did, and actually parted for a second before sticking to each other again on the other side. People like that annoyed Daniel, though he would never tell them, or anyone else for that matter. But why did new couples have to practically ignore the world whenever they were within each other's sight. It just didn't make sense. He'd had a friend like that, gotten a girlfriend and suddenly he was in his own little world, even when they were with a bunch of friends, if that girl was there they were ignorant of everything around them. You could have shot a gun past their heads and they wouldn't have noticed. He was thinking too for into this again, and nearly hit some other guy. He wasn't very perceptive tonight... well that's what a full day at a crappy job does to you. [/b][/i][/size]
