I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep 'cause everything is never as it seems

[/b] There were deep chuckles emerging from all around him closing in on him as a lion stalked its prey, followed by a pain in his cheek. The deep chuckles belonged to the local high school bullies. More pain rippled through his body like the first as the older, stronger, and taller boys continued to punch him. He had been beaten up several times which had of course built up his endurance to a knock out. Suddenly he felt an anger that had never flowed through his veins before. Now, like most adolescents Danny had been angry before but this anger that was surging through his veins was different. He didn’t know why it was different but it just felt... strange. “Hey boys why don’t we try out our recently acquired toy out on the birthday boy?”Little had Danny known that the bullies’ recently acquired ‘toy’ was a tazer. Shortly after the paralyzing electrical current left him, some of his bones began to change shape and in some cases shrink. He felt dizzy and was forced onto all fours. As his bones changed, silky black and white fur erupted all over his body. His dark animal eyes took in the panicked and shocked expressions as his head lowered, his eyes staring at his attackers. Daniel had no control of this alien body as he swiped at the closest of the four bullies. Suddenly he was attacked by a mass of grey fur. Parts of the fur had a sort of bilious tint to it. It was almost as if this thing didn’t see much daylight. Suddenly this furry animal took off and with his interest in the teenagers’ lost he gave chase. To any human walking the streets the streets they would have seen quite an ungainly Panda giving chase to what appeared to be a Siberian Husky. He ran through a rather large whole in a metal door and found himself in an abandoned warehouse. Suddenly the dog transformed into a human with chocolate brown hair. “Relax, kiddo. Its perfectly normal for someone like us to attack whoever is closest at the time of your first shift.”[/ul] It had been nearly a year since his first transformation and he had never forgotten the horror of that day. He could have torn his little brother to pieces that day. The man’s face floated in his head as he stepped into the Yummy Tummy restaurant. Why did his face seem so familiar? “would you like anything hun?”
“Uhh.... Yes please, a chocolate milkshake please.” The waitress sauntered off to get his milkshake and he sat in the booth thinking about that man whom had taught him about the world of shifters. ((OOC: The stuff thats indented a bit at the begining of the post is a memory.))

~Skii Rose~ Skii felt the urge to go off campus that day and walk around the other island. She hadn't yet seen all of the school but she needed a break from all the people over there. She had decided to look a little more casual today and she felt funny. She had straightened her almost black hair and put half of it up in a butterfly clip embellished with rhinestones. She wore a simple black mini dress that hit her mid-thigh with a belt that fit snug on her waist. On her feet were her favorite plain black flats with a slight smile meant for walking. As she roamed around Skii began to get hungry. She pulled on the hem of her dress and searched for a place to eat. She found the Yummy Tummies Restaurant. Skii smiled and laughed at the name. She quickly dug in her black bag she always carried with her for her notebook and a pen. She flipped open the first notebook she found and found pages covered in writing. She scribbled the name of the restaurant in the margins of one of the pages thinking if she could fit it in somewhere in one of her stories. Skii closed her notebook and shoved it back into her bag and put the pen behind her ear. She walked in behind a boy who was younger than she. Skii didn't know what she wanted, just something to ease her hunger. It was hotter outside seeing it was summer. She took the pen from her ear and began to fiddle with it as her eyes scanned the menu. At first she thought of a salad with some meat in it. No, to heavy still. She stuck her pen in her mouth to chew on the cap. She quickly took it out and shook her head, stuffing the pen in her bag. Skii still had no clue what to get and it was almost her time to order. “Uhh.... Yes please, a chocolate milkshake please.” The boy who had come in before her had ordered in a booth close to where she had sat. He was alone and looked deep in thought as the waitress came to get her order. "What would you like ?" A waitress had appeared at Skii's table and made her jump. She realized she was starring at the boy. "Umm, I'll have what he's having." Skii replied gesturing towards the boy sitting alone and giving the waitress her theater smile. Skii then decided to get up and move over to where the boy was sitting suddenly compelled. Skii was never a shy person any way.She slid into the opposite side of the booth from him silently giving him a genuine smile. She took out one of her notebooks and flipped trough it looking for a blank page. She always did this just in case she had a brainstorm for a story, musical, or poem. She dug through her bag again this time for a pencil not even seeing if the boy had noticed her existence yet. She was to focussed on her writing anyway.
