First week of her new school. First week of a continues end of nothingness. Her parents said she would make friends since everyone was “just like her”. Right, because everyone had long black hair like her, blue eyes like her, was short as a dwarf like her. Yes, mother. Everyone was her clone. She snorted as she walked on, classes were over for the day so she had time to just take in the nice warm rays of the sun and sit out and just listen to all the happy animals that pranced around. In her head, life seemed like a magic fairy tale. She certainly looked like she popped out of a Tim Burton movie, with her black leggings that said shocking! To her colorful tutu skirt and then to her purple bat man tank top and a normal white cami under it. Oh and also her shoes were zebra print, girl liked to stand out even though she was scared to open her mouth to any one. She sat down on the fountain and sided softly, running a hand through her black hair, her nails caught her eyes which were currently a very bright pink, she would have to change that soon since she wanted blue again, to match her bright blue eye shadow. So far school was quiet, well to her maybe since everyone else around her seemed to be just so happy and full of cheer, while she sat and watched them all with a gentle smile and a nod for hello every now and then.
A sigh passed her lips and she tugged out her phone, muttering about how her brother needed to text her to give her something to do, so she didn’t just sit there and look like a total loser. She wasn’t a total loser or she hoped not but sitting all along, boy she sure seemed to be one. Slowly she pulled her phone out of her pocket and texted her brother, maybe he would text back? Possibly if he wasn’t working, the older male did promise his sister he would text her everyday and even though it was still early, it sent a wave of panic through the girl since he hadn’t done so already. Noella looked around and smiled at everyone who seemed to be playing sports and just sitting in the sun, boy wouldn’t she give to just shift and happily trot around, though it was impossible because a grey horse just suddenly appearing? People would talk, even though everyone else were able to shift. Well on the bright side, it was warm outside.

Oh what a nice day it was. The sun was gleaming over the school as if it was smiling down on us. Vince exited the school doors and got blasted with its gentle touch of heat. The breeze blew softly but obediently through Vince's hair as he started his trek to who knows where. He looked up and realized that there weren't too many clouds in the sky and those that were up there were the big and fluffy kind that look like rabbits and ponies. It was such a nice feeling, this pre-summer day.
Summer was coming very fast, Vince found. He loved this season so much as it was the time where he could, practically, do whatever he wanted outside. He loved the outdoors almost too much and, with perfect weather, what was stopping him from coming outside and having some fun with friends? Absolutely nothing. Oh man how he loved this season. Soccer, swimming, running. Just a few of many possibilities that he does day in and day out. Being the athletic guy that he is, you probably will never see the day where he sits down and does nothing all day. He laughed just thinking about that.
He decided to walk over to the lawns. The lawns is a great relaxing spot but it is also a great spot for meeting new people. There is just something about that place that draws people towards it and keeps them there almost forcing them to talk to each other. It really was quite entertaining. Vince loved it for the obvious reason that he was outgoing and found it extremely easy to meet people and make friends. He hoped that today would be no other. Nah, why would it?
He continued walking down the path and finally reached his destination. The fountain in the middle spluttering out water that was tinkling in the sunshine. The flamingos looking great as usual, standing there, giving the lawns its name. He loved it here. Oh yes how he did. He looked around to see many people in conversation, most he assumed met today. He loved seeing that. What a great place this is to bring so many strangers close together. You need that at this school especially with the history that most of these kids have. Vince was no exception. Being shipped off to a boarding school for some ability that you didn't even want takes its toll on you, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. That's where friends came in.
He looked around only to find a young girl, around his age, sitting there texting on her phone. She was dressed quite exquisitely with her shocking black leggings and her colourful skirt. He wondered what shift she could possibly have. He LOVED playing this game and now that he started, he couldn't stop. He was a snoop, that's what snoops do. They find out as much as they can about people. This girl interested him quite a bit so he picked her to be his "stranger buddy" for the day.
He walked up to her and smiled motioning to the spot next to her, "Hey there, is this seat taken?" He planned on sitting down and starting up a conversation with her. He wasn't a shy person so he didn't mind breaking the ice. He waited for a response, but in the meantime introduced himself, "I'm Vince Porescetti," he smiled, "What brings you here to flamingo lawns?" He was talking in a very nice and calm tone and waited for the response from the very interesting looking stranger.W O R D S;; 710 T A G;; Noella N O T E S;; Not my best ahaha Vince will make her talk and get out of the shyness, don't you worry! No response so far. God, Markus was a complete jerk sometimes. Her parents had shipped her away from home to a new school with a billion hand a half people she didn’t know and he didn’t even have the nerve to text and say “Hey, sis, how are ya?” Jerk. Noella grumbled a bit and stared at her phone, like it was the cause of all her troubles. She had to remember that when she got home to see her family, he was dead. No, deader then dead. When she got to him she was going to kill him and then bring him back to life somehow so she could kill him again. The damn jerk. Noella rested her elbow on her knee and then put her head in her hand, she would have to wait. She didn’t enjoy waiting since she had the patience’s of a three year old being potty trained. Finally she heard her phone ding, then she could have sworn she heard a chorus of angels when it indeed turned out to be her big brother. What? Really? That’s all he had to say to her? One word? Not even two words. Jerk. Noella huffed and pursed her lips outward and texted him back, pretty much using all caps and telling him he was awful for not texting her back right away and how awful he was just because he was a jerk! Though, Noella’s thoughts were completely broken into a million little pieces of broken glass when she heard a string of words she never heard before. “Hey there, is this seat taken?”
Who? Wait, what? Those words did not compute in her mind, it was like someone was speaking French to her. She had have the mind to say something like ‘excuse me, I don’t speak French’ but she didn’t. Blinking up from her phone she stared at the male with big eyes, big rather scared eyes if you wanted her to be completely honest. Shaking her head faster then a jack rabbit on a hot day, she silently told him he could sit there. Maybe he was just using it to wait for his girlfriend or something? Yeah, most likely. That tended to happen a lot. Once more were her thoughts killed by another string of words the male said, the string being his name and what she was going there. Ah, well I’ll tell you my dear Watson, that’s what she wanted to say, however there was a problem in that. She didn’t know him. “Noella Montag.” He voice chimed in like a peal of church bells, then she gave a shrug. “Just wanted to be outside.” She added in really quick to the end. That’s all she could muster, not to mention her face was bright pink from embarrassment.

Vince sat down next to the attractive girl. Yes, that's right, he said it. Attractive girl. Mind you, he found a lot of girls attractive. He loved hanging out with his guy friends because, well guys talk you know? He had never seen this girl around and she was really very pretty. She must've shifted into a swan or something because of her beauty...hm...maybe he'll save that for a pick up line if all goes well. He wasn't a very "LETS DATE" kind of person. However, he could pull a few lines and drop a few hints. That much he could do.
She looked very upset. Maybe he interrupted a phone call? Was she upset at him? That was a great possibility. Wow he has been on a role lately as far as interrupting important things went. He really should learn to stop budding into people's bubbles while their doing something even remotely important. Blah he would have to teach himself but it would never work. Never. That was Vince for you. In no way rude, but could definitely be a bother sometimes. That's what his family said at least since he loved for them to drop everything for him and go play a sport or a game or do something fun. He would always ask at the wrong time and get the dreaded "VINCE SHUT UP" which he was used to by now. Those words mean nothing to him anymore.
“Noella Montag” was what she introduced herself as. That was a very unique and cute name. He liked that. Seems like everyone that he has met at this school had very unique names. Well, I guess you get unique people at a unique school. He smiled at the thought and then replied, "Noella? That's a really pretty name you've got there." This girl seemed a bit shy. No worries there! When someone shy is with Vince one of two things happen. One is that they get out of their comfort zone and have a great time with him gaining more confidence, or two they get really awkward and want nothing to do with him and shoo him away. Hopefully, this would be a number one.
"Just wanted to be outside,” she answered his question. Her voice matched her name and her appearance very nicely and he loved that about her. He noticed her cheeks going pinkish but tried not to bring that to her attention or she would get even more embaressed. Why was she embaressed in the first place? He had no idea. It was just Vince. Could it be that she may have been thinking of him as an attractive, sweet boy already just as he had been thinking of her. Nah that couldn't be the case.
He didn't blame her answer. Being outside today was the way to go. See they already had something in common! This conversation, meet and greet ordeal was going to be great. He nodded, "It's a great day isn't it? Nice weather for a pre-summer day." So she liked the heat and liked the outdoors. He was very interested to see what creature she shifted into but that's something you don't ask someone in your first conversation as you don't know how it'll affect them. This could've ruined her life and probably did. He didn't want to bring out any bad memories, though he did want to know and he will figure it out.
Vince was hopeful that this would the start of a good friendship.W O R D S;; 724 T A G;; Noella N O T E S;; He is a curious little guy isn't he C R E D I T;; hey it's SHMEY! @ caution 2.0

Her phone beeped again and a small smile graced her lips, her brother texted back. Good, the jerk knew not to upset her in such a way. Sorry, I was eating Ella. How are you? Make new friends? The way she knew he felt bad was because he called her Ella, only he could really get away with it since she found it so completely annoying by any other standers. However Markus got away with it, annoying jerk. After texting the older male back, she sighed softly and put her phone back in her pocket. Her blue eyes scanned the area around her and she wondered if there was a place she could shift at, like she wanted to so badly and just run, run around until her legs nearly gave out. The moment however called for a different train of thought. Since, Vince. (the newly dubbed male) was sitting beside her, she could just leave him without seeming like a total brat, which she wasn’t completely. So she would keep her to short soft answers, it might drive the male away but that’s all she could do without having a total panic attack. Girly was a little to shy for her own good.
Pretty? Her name? The girl stared at him with her bright blue eyes, they hadn’t made eye contact yet, and normally she kept her eyes down on her foot or an ant hill that was a little bit away from her or something, but never did they meet another pairs eyes. “Thank you, Vince is a nice name too.” She said giving him the tiniest of smiles, break through?! Well he did take the time to say hello and keep a conversation going so slowly she would get use to him being their and more words would breach her lips. One thing she had to make a face at was his scent, horses could tell the difference between a carnivore or a predatory animal that might eat them and a herbivore and Vince was giving all the scent signs of a carnivore. It didn’t smell bad, honestly it smelled earthy like dirt. She on the other hand smelt like flowers or trees. Horses were strange creatures, but she liked it.
“Hm? Oh yes, it’s very nice out. I wanted to run but… I only like to run when I shift, I like to dance otherwise.” She admitted softly to him and kicked her feet a little bit. Was it weird to say that? Only saying she ran around like a dork when she changed into a horse? Nah, or hopefully nah. Then something parked her interest. What kind of animal was Vince? A bear? Hawk? He was a big guy, so it had to be something with some muscle or wit.

Vince was waiting for Noella to make eye contact with him. Much time had passed and there had still been no sign of her being even the slightest bit interested in him. She kept looking down, playing with her phone, and blushing. He was sitting right next to her. Normally, people would find this very rude, however Vince found this normal for people who shop in the shy store. That was Noella. She was very shy and Vince had recognized that from the moment he had sat down.
“Thank you, Vince is a nice name too.” He laughed. He took this as a compliment but it was not a nice name. In fact, it wasn't even his full name! He just always introduced himself as Vince because Vincenzo was really hard for people to remember and he found that some people didn't like calling for him in that name. They preferred Vince and he really didn't mind. He figured he might as well tell her anyway for, if she thought the Vince was nice, maybe Vincenzo will be nicer? "I guess," he smiled, "though my full name is Vincenzo." He doubted she would care but he needed to keep the conversation going. The sun beat down on the duo as it grew higher into the sky. He looked up and realized that it was even more bright than before. Vince really needed to remember to bring sunglasses because his eyes killed in the sunlight, especially when it was this bright. He really should go and get them, but he was having a lot of fun with Noella (even though not much had happened yet). He was just starting to break her out of her shell and he had no intentions of leaving and coming back to a "No Noella" conclusion. He knew she would leave if he left and they would probably never see each other again. That would just be stupid and wrong. Vince listened as Noella commented on what he had said about the weather, as well as answering the question he had asked. “Hm? Oh yes, it’s very nice out. I wanted to run but… I only like to run when I shift, I like to dance otherwise.” COULD IT BE!? Another running fan? Vince, being the marathon runner, track star, athlete that he was, loved meeting new runners. This was a great thing that they had in common and he was very happy to hear this from her! He had already had his morning run and he was sad that she didn't get to have hers. "You're a runner too? No way so am I!" He said in a very happy tone, putting his fingers on his chest to motion he ran as well. He was very excited about this but he didn't understand why she only did it in her shift form. Maybe she was a cheetah? A horse? A lion? All great runners. He was so much more intrigued than he was before. "Why do you only run in your shift form?" He asked, "Not that dancing isn't neat, but running is so relaxing." He loved running, though the more he looked at Noella, the more he saw the "dancer" in her. Wow, he really wasn’t going to let up was he? He seemed so persistent in speaking to her. His eyes seemed to just burn a hole into every place on her body that they landed, or so she “felt” anyway. In truth she was just nervous and asking to many questions in her head. Like, why her? There were so many other pretty girls around, why did he pick her? Honestly she thought he might have made fun of her, but no he didn’t. Vince completely surprised her, which was good. She liked surprises in good ways. Noella gave him a tiny smile, well he was trying his hardest right? She had to commend him for that. “Vincenzo? That’s really cool!” She said brightly and beamed at him, a look she hadn’t given anyone yet at the school. Geeze, she did a 360 really fast. That was common though, even someone took the time she opened up a little bit faster when she had a good state of mind.
Noella, picked at her tutu a bit, and began to pant a little bit, though it wasn’t evident by her breath, more by her chest and how it fell up and down quicker, horses didn’t pant and nor did Noella. Sometimes it did get too hot for her liking and slowly at this moment it was doing just that. “Wah, hooot” She muttered like a little child and pursed her lips out into a pout. If she did shift and go running today, she would have to take a shower right after so she didn’t stink to high heavens. Suddenly, Noella squeaked at the male’s sudden loud question and her face turned a bright pink again, well boy did he seem excited to know she enjoyed running. His next question was a easy question for her to answer. “I’m faster as a horse. When I run as a human it’s harder on me, but when I dance I get a rush. It’s weird. I get a rush from running as a horse and also from when I dance around like a total monkey.” She smiled at him, she didn’t dance like a monkey of course but it was still funny to think about.
“What about you huh? I told you what I shift into, so your turn! You smell like a carnivore…" She said and leaned in really close to him to get a good look at him, some might see this as weird, but once shy Noella was broken and stimulated with conversation, she was a totally goof ball. Everyone that she was able to be-friend said so before. One moment she’s quiet and then they next, she can’t get her to shut up.

As if she was faking her embaressment at the beginning, Noella startled Vince by her “Vincenzo? That’s really cool!” statement. She had a smile on now. She looked like she was into the conversation a bit more. If he was not mistaken, she did not sound annoyed or bothered which made him feel much less worried about where this conversation would go. He was very happy with the fact that she was now smiling a bit more and breaking out of her shell, if only a bit. And all because she thought his whole name was really cool. He gave a small chuckle and replied, "Alright, if you say so!"Vince wiped a tiny bit of sweat off of his forehead. He wasn't sweating that badly (or really at all) but the heat was taking his toll on him. He could feel the sun pressing down on him with its sun rays and he was battling it to just keep his eyes open (as it was that bright). Shoot, he really should of brought his sunglasses. Oh well, his eyes would adjust. In his coyote form, he didn't have to worry about this too much which is one of the reasons why he really liked shifting. Though he rarely did. “Wah, hooot” was what she said next, though Vince had no idea what that meant. He smiled and didn't think about it much because she muttered it under her breath. Maybe he just misinterpreted it or misheard. No matter, she continued talking shortly after. “I’m faster as a horse. When I run as a human it’s harder on me, but when I dance I get a rush. It’s weird. I get a rush from running as a horse and also from when I dance around like a total monkey.” And there it was. Mystery solved. Vince knew he would figure it out soon. She shifted into a horse (or a monkey...no definitely a horse). That was such a great shift for her and he realized this even from the 10 minutes or so that they've been talking. He looked at her and pictures her as a horse. Majestic, powerful, speedy. How awesome would that be. No wonder she loved running so much! Horses are such great runners and she would definitely have more fun in her animal shift than in her human form when she was running. That's for sure. "A horse eh!? That's great! And it fits you so well." He realized this might have made things a bit awkward since they have only known each other for a short period of time, but he followed it up quickly with, "You're the first horse shift I've met" (and probably the last) he thought. Then the question came hurling his way. “What about you huh? I told you what I shift into, so your turn! You smell like a carnivore…" She smelled he was a carnivore? Was this a good thing or a bad thing? That probably couldn't smell too good but he really wanted to smell himself now (though he obviously couldn't). "I smell like a carnivore?" He asked chuckling a bit, "I bet that doesn't smell too good. Sorry! Though you are right. I take the form of a coyote when I shift" He was very proud of his shift though he was worried that Noella would be more afraid of him than interested. Horses and Coyotes. Do they get along? He wouldn't hurt any human as a coyote so she had nothing to worry about, but still you have no idea what goes on in the mind of the other. She grinned at him, his name was cool. Different you didn’t hear most people introducing themselves as Vincenzo. She liked different to be honest, but since he introduced himself as Vince that’s what she would call him unless one day he like asked her to call him his full name. Then she would! She gave a tiny snort and waved her hand. “I know so!” She smiled more at him and slowly began to crack out of her shell, oddly she felt like a baby duck or something just breaking free? Odd comparison. She shifted a little bit and looked down at her shoes again, lips pursed in mild agony. God it was so hot. She felt gross honestly, she hated to sweat like all most any other girl in the world, natural yes but horrible in front of another living human, especially a boy. She looked over at Vince who also seemed like the heat was taking it’s iron toll on him. “You want to go inside?” She asked softly and gave him a smile, slowly standing from her seat and offering her hand to him. Really it was horrible outside, she wanted to go in, maybe he did too?
Noella squeaked at his sudden out burst on her shift. She blushed a little bit. Was it weird for her to change into a horse? Was she not right for a horse? The girl looked over herself and gave a tiny huff, then he finished his sentence and she smiled at him. ”My whole family changed into horses so…” Shrugging a little bit she gave him another look and listened to him explaining his shift. A coyote? So that meant he might eat her?! She scooted away and covered her mouth with her hands. “Y-You won’t eat me will you?” She asked softly, how scary the first person she met was a coyote, didn’t they eat horses? They could if they wanted too. She was half kidding and half serious by her statement and it showed, though her hands covered her lips, she was still smiling brightly at him, showing that she was just teasing him.
“No, carnivores smell earthy, like… dirt. It’s because of the meat and stuff, or so says my mother, herbivores smell more like grasses and flowers and stuff because that’s what they eat.” She nodded and smiled at him, there was a lesson for him for the day, maybe he could learn to smell out people? Be fun.

“I know so!” she said referring to his interesting name. He was happy that she found it this cool since most people just didn't care at all. Mind you, he didn't really care what your name was as long as you were fun and friendly. Though I guess if you have a really unique name like Vincenzo or Noella, your thoughts change a bit since those are names you don't hear everyday. He smiled at Noella and said "Well thank you!" and left it at that.
She shifted a bit and Vincenzo noticed that she was starting to sweat as little as he was. Sweat is sweat and if your just sitting there talking, it can be a very uncomfortable feeling. Especially when you just meet someone and your sweating. That's a little weird. He wiped a bit more from his forehead and listened as Noella asked, “You want to go inside?” She stood up and held out her hand. How cute was that. He took it and stood up. He really wanted to go inside, but he wanted to stay out for just a tad longer. You have to take advantage of every oppurtunity you get on a nice day as, if you don't, you may regret it when it starts raining and your stuck inside. He decided to do whatever Noella wanted to do (since it was obvious she wanted to go inside) and so he replied, "Sure, it's too hot to be out here any longer."
Vince listened as she explained the nature of her shifting, ”My whole family changed into horses so…” Oh that was interesting to hear! His family did not shift into Coyotes, though they did shift into other canines which may be why he was a coyote. He really wasn't quite sure how the whole thing worked. "That's so neat!" he said, "My parents both are shifters, but they don't shift into Coyotes. They do shift into other canines though so I'm assuming that's why I am what I am" he smiled.
He noticed that Noella got very uncomfortable when he told her what he was. This was understandable. You have a carnivore and a herbivore and the herbivore is afraid of the carnivore. Obviously this was expected. “Y-You won’t eat me will you?” Noella spoke. He wasn't sure if she was kidding or not since she gave off the impressions of both. He wanted to reassure her that he would never attack, kill, or eat her. "Of course not!" he said, "You have nothing to worry about, please don't be afraid." he smiled at her. He wouldn't be eating any horses ever again anymore, just in case...well...nevermind.
“No, carnivores smell earthy, like… dirt. It’s because of the meat and stuff, or so says my mother, herbivores smell more like grasses and flowers and stuff because that’s what they eat.” This was rather interesting to hear. He didn't know this but now that he thought about it, Noella did have a grassy scent to her. It was very nice as well. Wow this was so cool! "Wow! That's really interesting" he said, "I never knew that before." He was kind of ashamed of this since coyotes have a good sense of smell. at least now he knew though.
"Would you like to start walking to the residence?" he asked her. He wasn't sure what they would do inside or where they would go, but he was very interested in spending more time with Noella today. “You’re very welcome!” She said happily and nodded a bit, pulling the male up when he took her hand, oh goodness he was heavy. Grunting a bit she almost slipped and fell on her butt, but she caught herself! Cat like reflexes even though… she was far from a cat. Nodding she pursed her lips a little bit and began to head for the door to go inside, opening it she felt an over whelming cold breeze flood her body and that caused her to shiver a bit. “So, what would you like to do now Vince? We couuuld…. Do something.” She said and giggled a little bit, she didn’t know what she wanted to do now honestly, well she did, honestly she wanted to shift and take on the heat, but how would the male handle that? What if she asked and he just laughed at her or said something on the lines of “what you want to go back outside now?” Noella admitted that she was being a bit complicated, she didn’t want to be out in the heat as a person but a horse no problem!
Oh? So his whole family shifted into canines of some sort? That was cool, kind of like her family turning into different breeds of horses. Sighing softly she looked around, well maybe she could offer her idea now? “W-Well… where’s the best spot to shift and be alone? Or.. With someone else?” She asked him softly, it was clear they wouldn’t be having any fun until they figured out something to do. So she gave her idea a chance, maybe it would work maybe it wouldn’t. Maybe Vince would like the idea maybe he would think she were totally bonkers. She smiled at him and nodded about her sense of smell, it was something her parents had taught her when they taught her how to shift in the first place. Her blue eyes met the other’s for a moment. Good! He wouldn’t eat her now she had that worry away from her mind completely. So the thought of shifting in front of him wasn’t completely a bad idea.
