"Shit." The deep voice said, jerking his hand back from the very hot stove. He held his hand up to his mouth, sucking on his finger as he stared down at the stove, almost contemplating on kicking it if there hadn't been kitchen staff swarming around him. They'd allowed him in earlier that morning mostly because he was fairly nice to them. After all, it was a general rule of thumb not to mess with the people who made your food. He stood over the stove as one of the cooks walked past, grinning widely. "Ya get burned?" He asked, pointing at the stove. "You've got it too hot man for your purposes." He leaned in and turned down the stove top. "Now go ahead." Liam looked over at him, frowning slightly as he looked down at the stove. "You're sure?" He asked hesitantly, looking at the sizzling stove. "Look kid, ya want me to do this? 'Cause I can." The cook said, looking at the counter with the mess of materials Liam had thrown together.
"No, I've got it." Liam replied hastily, waving his off. "If I need your help again, I'll ask, okay?" He asked, getting more than a litter frustrated. He'd already had trouble throwing all the ingredients together, as exhibited by the huge splotches of mix on his dark brown shirt. The shirt was much too large for him, a clear hand-me-down from his mother. His jeans were faded capris with white streaks down the sides, also a hand-me-down from one of his older sisters. It'd been in style years ago...for women. He rubbed his hands on the sides of his jeans and then turned to the bowl he had mixed the pancake mix in. He began to pour varying sizes of pancakes onto the pan which sizzle and hissed at the presence of the new batter. After he had filled most of the pan up with the pancakes, he turned on the stove for the other grill-thing and put a pan on top of it. He flicked some water on it as he waited for it to fizz and allow him to spray his nonstick spray. He turned to the pancakes and carefully flipped them over so that they could cook on the other side. After doing that, he tossed some pieces of raw bacon on the other pan, watching them sizzle. He tossed them around a bit until they were finished and then flipped them on a plate.
When the pancakes were done, he tossed them on another plate, putting them on the counter next to the other things he had to work on. He tossed the soaked piece of toast onto the empty pan, letting it sizzle. He sprinkled a thin layer of sugar over it and then flipped it over, putting a layer of sugar on the other side. He flipped it over one more time before tossing it on the same plate as the bacon. He repeated it with three more pieces of toast, putting it with the bacon as well. He looked around to see if he had anything else he had to cook. After he had cleared the stove of the dishes (careful not to hold them by his bare hands) he moved around to start cleaning up his materials. "Don't worry about that, big boy. We'll handle it." One of the older cooks said, patting him on his mid-back. "Really? Thanks very much!" He said, taking three of the small Tupperware containers and putting his food inside. Grabbing a few condiments, he stuffed it into a cooler bag, similar to a picnic basket. He put the other container of fresh fruit that he'd haphazardly chopped earlier.
After another minute of thinking, he smiled to the cooks, thanking them for allowing him to use the kitchen and left the cafeteria, heading for the student lounge. The smell radiating from the bag at his side caused a few people to stare and some of his friends to ask if they could have some. Liam merely grinned, shaking his head. The food was to share with Lia which he'd been planning to meet her around ten o'clock. He glanced down at his watch, nodding his head. About 9:45, so he had a little more time. He sped up his walk though and eventually reached the lounge. There were only a few people there so he didn't worry about bothering them. He looked around, wondering if Lia was already there or if he was going to have to wait and set everything up while he waited for her to get there.

Looking straight ahead, one paw after the other. Her large, golden eyes stared ahead, watching the people pass by, looking down at her like she was some sort of freak. Perfect timing. Someone was coming out of the lounge, so the door was open. Bouncing inside, she was safe. Trotting through the lounge toward the couches, the lynx jumped up.
With her back legs folded under her neatly, and her front paws curled under her. The lynx closed her eyes and rested a moment. Then she heard heavy footsteps and opened her eyes too se a large man. He looked older than the senior she was meeting. He had a large tattoo on his right arm and his hair was black, cropped really short too.
He was handsome.
The cat realized who it was. Liam. This cat's name was Kahlilia, but she prefered Lia. Sitting up, she transformed into a beautiful junior. Her eyes were a misty blue-grey, her hair sailed down her back. It was bleached blonde with a hot pink streak on the right side. Her face was round and her lips faded pink. She smiled at Liam. Lia's smile was that of an angel's. Lia was beautiful in so many ways.
"Hey Liam." she said softly, a little shy. Her voice, like her smile, seemed like it was constructed by angels. It was soft and lyrical, very gentle as well as beautiful. Her phone beeped and Lia reached into her pocket, plucking it out and looking at it. She sighed. It was Damon again. What a horny basterd he was. She closed the text and looked at the time. It was 9:55. She smiled again and put her phone back into her pocket.
She noticed the food and blinked once in confusion. She had a feeling it was for her and Liam, but she wasn't about to jump to conclusions. She looked at Liam's face. He's a senior... oh man! Why does he have to be so cute!? Her mind screamed at her. But yes, it was true. Lia, shy little Lia, was crushing on this handsome senior who, apparently, could cook well.
She breathed in the scent of the food quietly while her phone rang again and again in her pocket. Groaning quietly, Lia plucked it from her pocket and turned away from Liam. "Damon." she whispered. "What do you want?" she added quietly. "Only a good ti..." Click! Lia hung up the phone and turned it off, placing it in her pocket. That boy never gave her a break.

Liam was probably one of the only people not entranced by Lia's attractive qualities. It was actually pretty hard to figure her out. She was shy and secluded and whatnot, yet her hair was obviously dyed and there was a vibrant pink streak though it. It was pretty hard to read her, but the more and more Liam got to know her, the more and more he realized that the hair was just a fluke: this girl didn't know how to handle herself as a woman and Liam was obviously going to have to take care of her and fix all of that. Otherwise she'd be that quiet kid in the corner, drawing everyone but never really getting a chance to talk to them. He sighed at the thought, shaking his head. Too many potential good people gone to waste on a dream that never came true.
"Hello Lia, I-" He was caught off guard by her sudden hushed whispering into the phone. So someone was hounding her? That was fairly interesting. If anything, it added a little bit of depth to her that he hadn't noticed before. He took a deep breath and looked down at his hand, seeing that the bag of food was still perched there. He looked back up, glancing over at her cell phone. "Alright, we're obviously going to have to turn this into a weekly thing if you're just going to allow people to hassle you all the time. Let's start from the beginning.' He said, looking around, making sure that the lounge had been mostly evacuated. There were still a few people lingering but they payed no attention to them. He pushed everything off the table that separated the two couches and put his bag on the table.
He looked over at her, waving her off if she even thought about getting up to help him. "No cell phones at our weekly sessions. They just interrupt. Leave them at home or put them on silent." He said, giving her a pointed look. "Second, you'll need to start bringing a notebook so you can write down any questions you have because I have a feeling you'll have a lot of them." He said, putting down the table cloth and beginning to open the Tupperware containers. "Third, I'll be teaching to you on my handy-dandy portable dry erase board, so you'll need to pay attention to that." He said, pointing to the board that had already been set up in the room. He began to pile two plates with food, allowing her access to the french toast, pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit. "There will always be food because we'll be changing times of the day to come out and all that jazz. Any questions so far?" He asked, grabbing at one of the pancakes. He folded it over and stuffed it into his mouth as he wrote "LIA'S TRANSFORMATION" at the top of the board.

She raised a brow as he went on and on about directions, writing things on the board. When he looked around, her curiosity got to her, and she looked around as well. She was taken aback when she saw what he was writing on the board. "Lia's Transformation?" she asked, a little scared and a little confused. She cleared her throat. "What exactly is my transformation?" she asked, weary of his answer. She gulped quietly and took a bit of the food, nibbling on it nervously. She pondered on what things he could mean by this 'transformation' but mentally ran away from what her imagination came up with. She'd rather hang out with Damon that go with this transformation he was obviously wanting to do with her. She wanted to turn her phone on to see if Damon called, she really wanted to hook up with him at this point. Who wouldn't? You're a shy girl who is being told by a huge senior that basically, he was going to change you, 'or else'. She held back a shudder. -I'm REALLY sorry for the short word count, but I am out of Lia muse today -
