Overall: [400 words minimum]
Branna is very pessimistic about everything but love. She can, and will, make you feel doubts. I promise you, it is not on purpose, she’s just being her brutally honest self. If you see her sitting by herself, approach her. She won’t bit…she may peck but not bite.
Don’t ask about her parents. She will simply pack up her things and walk away. She doesn’t like to, and won’t, talk about her parents.
Branna is extremely loyal to her friends. She will defend them. She says with her life and she means it. She will defend her friends. They are all she has. She won’t tell you that but it’s true.
People call her emotionless but she’s really not. She has lots of emotions, she just doesn’t like to show them. She is very afraid of getting hurt and will not show emotion because of that fear.
Branna has the worst temper. When angered (which isn’t often) she will get physical. She will bite then. If you insult her family, her friends, or if you hurt an animal of any kind, you will get hurt. If you call her a murderer, you maybe critically injured.
Another thing about Branna is that she is very quiet. Most of the time she will keep to herself, reading or writing stories. She is fascinated with the literary styles of myths and legends and looks forward to becoming a writer and writing one herself. She does not care that other people thinks she is weird but does feel rather withdrawn when people whisper about her behind her back.
Branna loves romance novels, especially ones about true love and that fluffy goodness. She secretly hopes she can one day find that special someone but she doesn’t want to get her hopes up too much. She has seen what has happened when true love dies too many times and doesn’t want to get hurt.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Branna is afraid of death. She respects it and those who have died but she is afraid of death. She will have nightmares about it and will wake up screaming and dripping in sweat. This happens quite often and has ever since her father’s death. Another thing she is afraid of is water. When she was little, she fell off her grandparent’s boat and into the water. She couldn’t swim so she panicked. Almost drowned if her Grandmother hadn’t fished her out. Ever since then, Branna avoids large bodies of water.

...history
Parents:Ana and Jordan Lemberg, both deceased
Siblings:
[400 words minimum]
Branna was born to a normal family. Her mother, Ana, and father, Jordan, had married out of the “truest love there is” (quote from Branna’s Grandmother Sophia). Their happiness grew when they learned they were to have a child. They prepared for her, building her a nursery when her mother was less than two months pregnant.
However, all good things must come to an end. Ana died just as her daughter was born. She had just enough time to feed her child before bleeding to death. Her father could as much as look at his newborn daughter, let alone name her. Grandmother Sophia did the honors and named her Brannagh, the Gaelic meaning being “beauty with hair as dark as a raven” due to the patch of raven black hair on top of her head.
As Branna (the nickname was given to her by her senile Grandfather Murray) grew older, her father grew more distant, still morning the death of his wife. He said he didn’t blame his daughter, but Branna did not believe him. She spent most of her life alone in the large house her father owned or with her Grandparents on her mother’s side. (Grandfather Murray and Grandmother Sophia) They loved her deeply, and defiantly did not blame her for her mother’s death. But soon, her grandparents passed on, leaving the poor girl alone.
As Branna grew into her teens, she became very much less involved with her own age group. She became anti-social and began to wear black and read the most depressing myths and legends. (Not many people knew she likes Fluffy Romance Novels). People began to talk and say she was a witch and would curse them, making her even more antisocial than she would be if she was just left alone in her house all the time.
Jordan made sure there was no reference that he had a daughter. Pictures of her were destroyed and were the ones of her mother. Soon, his neglect lead to social services checking in on Branna daily. They couldn’t take her out of her neglected home, having no proof she was being neglected. The almost had no proof that the girl excited if not for the hospital records of her. When Jordan did talk to his daughter, it was just to remind her that she was the cause of her mother’s death and that he would love no other woman. This is how her belief in true love was formed.
One day, when Branna arrived home early from school, she found her father in bed with another woman. When the woman saw her, she immediately wanted to stop, but Jordan just told her that they should continue, telling the woman that Branna was just his murderer of a daughter. Although he sounded and smelled drunk, Branna lost it. The thought of her father was in bed with another woman, when he said he would be with no other, other than her mother and that he called her a murder to another human being, she shifted. She heard the woman scream and scramble off the bed. Branna was too blinded by rage to care. She clawed and pecked at her father’s naked body. She felt him trying to defend himself but Branna just kept coming back. The woman ran from the house, screaming, with only a blanket to cover her. When Branna finally shifted back, her father was long since dead, a few days old. She had been a raven for too long, she almost ate the flesh of her father, as any raven would do to a corpse. She ran for it then, only to be found, naked in an alleyway. It was then she was taken to the Academy to find out her mother’s side of the family could also shift.
...connecting human to animal
[One Paragraph Minimum (Can be point form)]
In Celtic mythology, ravens were the sign of death and bloodshed in war. Not only that, her name means “beauty with hair as dark as a raven”. Because of her Celtic background and her own feelings about the world around her, the raven would be an obvious animal she would shift into. She also felt chained to her father, him being her only family, so when she attacked her father, she was freed and let loose to fly.

Blood…the smell of blood…the feel of bleeding flesh…the taste of blood in her mouth before going back into the attack…She heard herself shouting at him…he merely screamed and only attacked harder when he did not answer her questions…She heard the woman’s voice, screaming in fear…She did not comply…The woman fled from the scene…Good riddance…she was an annoyance…More yells from her victim…More attacks from her…He moved no more…She felt free but she watched the dead man…She sat in the corner and watched him…He didn’t move…She sat there…Hungry…must eat…The blood smelled wonderful…No…she was human…wasn’t she…but…human’s didn’t kill their fathers…She looked down at her hands…to see them shift from wings to hands…That blood smelled so good…
Brannagh sat up screaming, sweat dripping down her face. She quickly looked around to see she was sitting upright in her bed, in her room. The familiar walls, her closet opened slightly to see her clothes sticking out of her closet, her jewelry box that lay next to her on her bedside table. Familiar and safe.
Branna panted gently let her heart rate return to normal. She heard her roommates stir and inquire sleepily what was wrong.
“Nothing,” she said, in her usual emotionless voice. “Nothing…go back to sleep.” Her roommates quickly complied to her request for their soft breathing filled the room. Branna stayed upright and continued to breathe deeply. It was that dream…that horrible dream…that horrible nightmare…that horrible memory.
The memory of her father’s death would haunt her in her waking hours and now her dreams? Hadn’t haunted her enough, tore up her soul enough?
“Apparently not,” she whispered softly to herself. She looked out the window to feel her heart drop. The moon was red, like the night she had killed him, like the blood she spilt. Branna pulled her knees to her chest, burying her face into the softness of the blankets. She breathed deeply, calming down her heart rate.
Her father’s dead face lingered behind her eyelids. She shut them tighter, thinking of Athena and her birth from Zeus’s head. The image of her father faded and the image of the Greek Goddess of Wisdom emerging from the head of her father Zeus filled the dark void of her mind.
Branna laid back against her pillows and kept relieving that moment of the story, anything to keep her mind from her father, that night, or the face that she was the one who had killed him, proving him right of her being a murderer.[/font]
