Skii Rose *No one morns the wicked* Skii placed her her bag behind stage. She loved this place and it always made her feel better. She was getting ready to practice her monologue for an audition for one of her favorite musicals... Wicked! She figured she wouldn't get it though because her dancing skills were close to none. Skii dug through her bag for the script and song book she had received wondering how she could live with her bag so messy. So, she decided to dump all the belongings in her school bag out and clean it. One text book and five notebooks fell out fallowed by a numerous amount of pens and pencils. Skii mumbled under her breath and bent over to pick up the pens and pencils that had rolled all over the ground. She saw how dusty the ground was when she picked up her writing utensils and knew she couldn't leave it so dirty. She unzipped the front pocket of her bag and placed the handful of pens in it. Before she left her bag and books still slightly scattered on the backstage prop table she got out her iPod to warm up her voice. All though Skii wasn't a magical singer her voice still had a nice quality good enough for to take the leads of musicals. She flipped through the play list on her iPod. They were mostly musicals from Annie Get your Gun to the hilarious Zanna, Don't! She stopped it at one of her favorites and of course the one she needed Wicked. She placed her ear buds in her ears and went off to get the mop she had left in the prop room. "No one mourns the wicked. No one cries they won't return." Skii began to warm up her voice with the song that was playing in her ear. This was regular for her. Getting to the stage to practice then having to clean up first. Not that Skii minded cleaning it reminded her of home. Well, not of home exactly just of her two older siblings. If she thought to much of home she would begin to think about her father and she didn't want that. Or she would begin to think about her brother and that made her think of her father too. Instead of thinking about her family though, Skii kept her mind on the song she was singing and what she was cleaning. She wondered if any of the dancers had coked the stage recently. She knew it was necessary so they didn't slip but when her shoes stuck to the stage she couldn't perform with them on. So after she finished her sweeping and reorganized her books and made sure to keep one notebook and some pens and pencils out in case of a brainstorm she headed out to the stage. Skii had only been on this stage a few times, seeing she had only been at the academy since the beginning of summer but it had made her feel at home right from the start. It had been a while since she had gotten on a stage before she arrived. Now, She could almost be on this one at any time. She smiled and stated on the next song that popped into her ear. "Popular! I know that I'm popular!" Skii began to dance a little with this song. It wasn't to bad, but she was mostly using her acting skills and playing to her non existing audience. She had walked out on the stage playing the part of Glinda, Thankful her flats didn't stick to the stage. She Strutted her stuff feeling safe on the stage. Sh came to the finish of her song and was happy with her performance. She laughed knowing no one was there to see her act like a ditsy blond. she flipped through her play list to find her favorite song from the musical she really couldn't sing it for one character but whatever. She decided to put off practicing for a moment and went to grab her note book offstage to write some on the musical she was writing. Once she got her book the song played in her ears. Dancing through life down at the oz dust only because dust is what we come too! she decided to sit in the middle of the stage to write. Skii went back on the stage and sat down right in the middle. Some what glad the lights were not on the stage but also some what disappointed. She tucked a pen behind her ear and another pencil laid beside her. She abandoned the idea of adding onto her musical and started a poem on a blank sheet of notebook paper. Skii lost herself in her favorite musical music and her favorite pass time, writing.

Selah walked toward the concert hall, she hadn't been to this part of the school yet, but she hoped she would spend a lot of her time here…she loved the theatre.
I wonder if anyone’s here at this time… Selah wondered as she got closer to the Concert Hall.
Suddenly, a beautiful voice filled her ears. She recognized the songs from the musical Wicked[/u]. Selah had never seen that musical, but she had listened to the songs countless times. Absent mindedly, Selah’s feet began to move with the song, and soon she was twirling her way to the door. She stopped right before she hit the door, not wanting the voice to stop simply because Selah had interrupted it.
The voice slowed, and then stopped. Whose voice is that? Selah wondered as she opened the door.
A girl, possibly Selah’s age maybe younger, was sitting in the middle of the stage. The girl had a notebook in one hand, and a pencil (or pen, it was hard to tell from the back of the auditorium) in the other. Her hand was flying across the page.
Oh, someone else who can write! Selah thought happily as she came into the auditorium, and leaned against the back wall, It’s too bad I forgot my pencils, paper, and camera. She could have been interested in my writing.
Selah was content hiding in this shadow, her jaguar instincts had been coming out more and more since she had come to Shifter Academy. She wanted to badly to make friends and be accepted, but the jaguar in her kept telling her to stay alone, that she didn’t need anyone else. But Selah knew that wasn’t true, that that wasn’t even close to being a true statement. Her jaguar self didn’t want anyone, but Selah’s human self longed for a companion, longed for someone to care.
Maybe I could make a friend, Selah started to come out of the shadow, maybe this girl will be my first real friend.
But this girl frightened Selah; actually she scared the crap out of her. Why is she scaring me? She isn’t an intimidating person, Selah pondered this thought as she sat on the floor. Maybe it’s because I’m not good at making friends, I’m a shy person, and this girl doesn’t seem very shy… She came to a conclusion that made sense.
Selah moved her hand along the carpet, feeling all the knots and loose threads. What a beautiful Concert Hall, she thought as she closed her eyes.
All of a sudden, Selah stood up. She had gained confidence out of nowhere, If I want friends, I’m going to need to talk to people, Selah thought as she started to walk toward the stage.
The girl was still writing on her notebook. Life is a challenge, So conquer it. Selah thought over and over again.
Finally, she was close enough to the stage to talk to the girl. “Hi…Hello? Um…Hi, I’m Selah.” She said and started to mess with her hair, something she always did when she was nervous.
Selah stood there, waiting for a reply, waiting for something to happen.

Skii had been so absorbed in her writing she hadn't realized that she started singing or gained an audience. She barely heard the voice talking from the audience. Skii shook her head, she wore her hair down with a slight curl and a bump in the front, and popped out one ear bud. The song was still slightly playing in her other ear. You know what? Let's dance. Let's DANCE!!!!
Skii smiled that was her favorite part. She searched the audience for the voice she thought she had heard. she placed her notebook and pencils on the ground and walked out to the front of the stage. Skii quickly found the girl that was half way down an aisle on the ground floor of the audience.
"Oh Hi! I didn't hear what you said... I was kind of jammin' up there. I'm Skii. What was your name again?" Skii smiled she was never shy. She couldn't stand the people who were. She had set down on the front of the stage even though now she kind of wish she hadn't. The dust was layered on up here and her black pants were bond to get dirty. She took one of her fingers and wiped away some of the dirt, her face contorting into a slight frown. She quickly wiped the dust off her finger.
Skii waited for the girl to reply and noticed that a new song was coming on her Ipod. I'm not that girl. Skii realized she better take her other ear bud out before she started belting out any more Wicked. She took out the ear bud out the ear bud and wrapped the wire around her green Ipod.
Skii had begun to look over this new girl. She had never seen her before but she was pretty. Their hair was close to the same color but Skii guessed her to be a year older. Skii wondered if she would become a friend. It was highly unlikely... Skii was good at making acquaintances not friends. She usually came on to strong and then turned mean. She couldn't help she had so little childhood friends.
Skii licked her lips and revealed a smile once again. She kicked her legs one after another trying to seem normal. Skii was normal at least that's what she told herself. She kept her eyes on the girl willing a reply out of her and hoping she wasn't as screwed up as Skii was... Skii is.

Selah was still messing with her hair when the girl finally noticed her, "Uh...Selah, my name is Selah," Selah tried to smile, she wanted friends here, she needed a friend.
Selah was getting majorly nervous, almost to the point of not being able to breathe. Selah reached for her necklace, but then remembered she hadn't been wearing it.
Stupid, stupid, stupid! Why do I always forget things?! Selah continued to mess with her hair.
"What did you say your name was, sorry I kind of zoned out for a second," Selah did a shy smile that time, she hoped this girl didn't find her weird.
Selah started to look at the girl more closely, their hair was almost the same color (Selah’s was a bit darker), about the same complexion too. Man, if I didn’t know better I’d think we were related.
Selah couldn’t help but start to think of the things she remembered about her family. (Lily’s light blonde hair; James in his room; Jenny’s laugh; Celeste and her were always close; Rose’s red streak in her baby hair; but she couldn’t remember anything about her parents.)
I wonder if this girl has a family, someone to care about her. She must be loved, she looks so confident…I wonder how I look to her.
Selah twirled her hair, another bad habit she got when she was nervous. Why am I so nervous? thought Selah, It isn’t like I’ve never talked to anyone before, I know how to make conversation, I know how to be polite and nice. What is my problem with this one girl? She’s not intimidating, she looks nice enough, so what is the problem? Selah tried to search for answers, but found none.
She focused on a small scratch by the stage, trying not to look too eager or too bored. I want her to like me, yes. But I don’t want her to think I’m a total spaz! Focus, she still hasn’t answered your question, maybe she zoned out too, maybe we’re both sizing each other up. Relax, stand up straight…oh! Pretend it’s an audition, be courteous, polite, and smile! Okay…now even I think I sound like a spaz. Just Relax, come on Selah. Just relax, this is not a big deal. Selah tried to calm herself down, You want a friend, so make a friend. You still need a dorm and roommates, this might be your chance! And remember, Life is a challenge, so conquer it, We can do this, repeat your question and let’s get on with this.
Selah let out a deep breath, worried all this anxiety would turn her hair white. “So, what was your name?”

Skii watched as the girl processed everything that was going on. Skii smiled realizing the girl was shy. Great another shy person. I can't stand stop thinking and at least act like your not scarred Skii stood up as the girl was processing and brushed off her pants especially her butt. She hated sitting on a dirty stage.
"Uh...Selah, my name is Selah," Skii had caught what she said. What a pretty name better than mine. She did have a wonderful stage name though Skii Rose. Anyways Selah had began to say something else too, "What did you say your name was, sorry I kind of zoned out for a second."
"Oh my name, It's Skii with two i's instead of a y. Selah is a cool name! But could you hold on a second See I have to get a broom to this stage before I faint. If you want to come up you can come up those stairs." Skii pointed to where the stairs were and headed to where the broom was behind stage. Before she headed off the stage she picked up her ipod ans straightened her shirt . She couldn't help not looking professional in front of company.
Skii stashed her ipod in her bag that still lied on the props table and grabbed the broom. Grabbing the broom reminded her of the scene in Wicked where Elphaba sings Defying Gravity. She smiled and hummed the song out on the stage. Skii swept out on the apron of the stage and wondered when the first performance would be at this school. She didn't see any thing for a spring show. She wondered if Selah knew?
"How long have you been going to school here See? I have been here less than a month. Do you know anything about a Summer play or musical?" Skii projected her voice just like when she was doing an actual performance. She never looked up from her sweeping. "Hey can you grab the dust pan behind stage too?"
Skii had swept the front of the stage and a small dust pile had formed. She walked back to the middle of he stage to pick up her notebook and pencils. She hadn't gotten to far on what she was writing. She flipped open to the page she had written on and read it. She shook her head and got out a pencil to change some of the words. She placed her broom in one arm and leaned on it for balance once again in a writing frenzy.

“How long have you been going to school here See? I have been here less than a month. Do you know anything about a summer play or musical?"
Selah opened her mouth to speak, but before she could answer Skii, she told her to go get a dust pan.
“Yeah, I’ll go get it,” Selah mumbled and then jogged up the stage steps Skii had pointed out and started looking around backstage, even though Skii was no longer paying attention to Selah.
Hmm…Dust pan, dust pan…..Where is it? Selah started to rummage around looking for a dustpan, What is with this Skii girl anyway? Bossing me around, acting all OCD-ish…But then again, I’m still kind of mad about Aly. Oh well, maybe me and Skii will get along, opposites attract and all that.
Selah looked behind her and saw Skii leaning against a broom and writing, Hmm…I wonder what she’s writing. Would it be rude if I asked? Probably not, but what if it’s something weird…like a hit list!?! Okay, come on, Selah, I think the sleep you’ve been losing is affecting the way you’re thinking. She’s probably more normal than you. I mean, it’s not like everyone here has something wrong with them that ruined their life, right? So just relax, find the dust pan, and give it to Skii. Then maybe she’ll be my only friend, or just one of my friends. That’d be good, more than one friend…could I possibly get a lot of friends? Wow, listen to me, I sound desperate…actually I sound more than desperate. I sound…ugh, now I can’t think of word that’s more than desperate…okay, I sound really desperate. Wait, why did I come back here? There was a reason and then I got side tracked, Selah kept getting more lost in thought, something she did when she didn’t get a whole lot of sleep, which usually happened when she was nervous. Oh! Right, dust pan, where is it? Selah looked under a piano, under a bunch of props, and by the costumes. Where is that stupid dust pan?! I’ve checked everywhere, and it’s nowhere. Maybe it disappeared! Hmmm…maybe someone stole it! Wait, okay, get a hold of reality Selah, you really need to stop losing sleep. Get your head on straight, and find that dust pan.
Selah walked over to where a few mismatched props and costumes were, along with a giant ball of tape, looked through it and finally found the dust pan.
Finally! “Here you-” Selah was about to hand the dust pan over to Skii, but she looked busy. Selah set the dust pan on the floor by the broom, and left Skii to her notebook.
Selah sat on the edge of the steps, trying not to fall asleep, thinking. This always happens when I get tired, I start getting really spastic thoughts and then I start thinking about Mom and Dad, Lily, James, Jenny, and Rose. I really need some sleep. But…eh, why bother? Jaguars are nocturnal anyway, so who needs daylight?
Selah turned around, not really caring if she bothered Skii or not, “Skii, the dust pan is right there, do you want me to help?”
Selah waited for her answer, hoping it would come before she fell asleep.

Skii realized that it was taking Selah a while to find the dust pan it it only occurred to her for a moment before it was swept away with a wave of words that Skii wrote on her page . She was so absorbed in her work that she didn't notice when Selah found the dust pan and left it at Skii's feet.
“Skii, the dust pan is right there, do you want me to help?” Skii had almost finished writing when she heard Selah speak. She quickly finished her sentence and closed her note book. She shoved her pencil behind her ear and smiled at Selah with sorry glinting in her eyes.
"Oh, sorry! I get like that once words start coming to me... I really zone. Skii picked up the dust pan and walked over to where Selah had sat. She was slightly embraced but figured that she hadn't offended Selah that much. She really hadn't meant to zone that much anyways. "I would love your help! I f you really are willing. I like to clean it reminds me of my older sisters. So, I don't mind doing it by myself."
Skii gave her smile once again and handed the dust pan to Selah. She went to walk over to her dust pile when she accentually dropped the broom in the dirt pile she had made. "Oh place where Elphaba goes to college!" Skii stamped her foot frustrated. She bent over to pick up her broom and start her dust pile over. She began sweeping mad at her self because she was making a fool of her self in front of this girl. But Skii decided to put her best game face on. She bit her lip and thought of a way to start a conversation with this Selah girl.
"So, Why are you here? In the concert hall? I mean usually I am the only one if there isn't a practice for anything.." Skii never took her eyes off the dust that she was sweeping into a pile. She wasn't sure if the girl heard her or if she was even still there. Skii figured she had a bit of a bossy personality. Especially when she was cleaning.

"Oh place where Elphaba goes to college!"
Selah tried not to laugh, there was something about this girl that amused her. Skii was weird, yes, but she was nice, She's a lot nicer than Aly thought Selah as she tried to remain stone faced, But Skii seems as nervous as I do, maybe she's not as confident and outgoing as she seems to be...or I could just be tired, ah who knows?
"So, Why are you here? In the concert hall? I mean usually I am the only one if there isn't a practice for anything.."
Skii's question caught Selah off guard, Why had I come here? I left the Sports Centre&Gym, shifted back, got on a pair of my extra clothes, and just started walking. So, why had I come here?
"Um...I'm not really sure. I started walking and the I came here. It sounds weird, I know, but I just had to get away from where I was and find somewhere peaceful," Selah paused, trying to read Skii's expression, "but I couldn't really find anyplace like that," Selah flashed a grin, attempting to make a joke, "and I wound up here. I didn't really know where I was going, I don't really know the school that well. So, uh, why are you here?"
Selah started to nod off, but quickly woke herself up. Why am I so tired? I know I haven't slept, but it wouldn't make me tired oh wait...it would, Selah smiled at her own sleep deprieved joke, Man I need some sleep...but where can I sleep? There's a chair, oh, it looks like a comfortable chair. I wonder if it feels like a comfortabel chair. Chair? Chair? Wherefor art thou comfy chair?.......Woah, Selah, wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Maybe if I stand up I will wake up. Oh, but these stairs are nice and kind of cold, kind of dusty, but I don't want to move...ugh. Selah's head started to fall, but she jerked it up before she thought Skii had noticed. Okay, come on, stand up, Selah slowly stood up, kind of wobbly, walked down the steps and went to lean against them, There, more awake, that's better.
Selah waited for Skii to reply, it seemed like it had taken her forever to just get up and walk down here when it had really only been a few moments.

Skii had swept all of the dust back into a nice pile. She then again leaned on the broom listening to Selah talk. She hadn't said anything too interesting but she listened all the same. She then watched as Selah nodded off and jerked herself back to sleep and stand up.
"Oh, Well I was just practicing. This is really the only place I know where it is you know. I'm a theater major and the stage is my world. You look tired. Why don't you go sit down... I'll finishing cleaning this up then we can go to the dorms. Skii walked over to Selah and took the dust pan. She bent over and in one brush of the broom swept up all the dust into the pan. She smiled and stood up. She precariously balanced the broom and the dust pan determined for the dirt not to let the dirt back on the floor.
" Well, actually I don't know my dorm room yet. The administration said they would text me it but... Well, I haven't checked my phone since I got here so who knows? Maybe they did text me? Thats the one bad thing about wearing professional clothes they don't have pockets." Skii paused for a laugh. Though she didn't know if she would get one. She was watching Selah, Making sure she didn't fall asleep. Instead Skii laughed and went on not sure if Selah had laughed or not.
"So, See what's your major. Not that it matters since it's summer. Well my major I believe is year round but whatever." Skii rambled on as she went over to the table where her bag was. She dug through it to find her cell phone and flipped it open. the screen read "one message".
Hello, Skii-Lynn Rose Reeve. You will be rooming in dorm 209. All your stuff is in there.
Skii Flipped her phone closed with joy and turned to Selah. "Oh my God! Yep I got a dorm. So, you know if you need a place to chill and.... sleep you can go there. I just want to finish cleaning up here.

" Well, actually I don't know my dorm room yet. The administration said they would text me it but... Well, I haven't checked my phone since I got here so who knows? Maybe they did text me? Thats the one bad thing about wearing professional clothes they don't have pockets."
Selah was barely awake enough to force a small laugh-ish smile. Man I'm tired...maybe I shouldn't have worked out so hard. Selah yawned hugely and rudely, but wasn't awake enough to say excuse me, Yup, definately tired...Soon I'm going to start seeing and hearing things......Wait did she just say something about not owning a jacket? Poor Skii, I should give her a jacket, Selah yawned again, but jerked her head up so she would atleast seem awake.
"So, See what's your major. Not that it matters since it's summer. Well my major I believe is year round but whatever."
Selah was about to answer Skii, but Skii wasn't really paying attention. Skii was digging through her bag and then pulled out her phone. Skii's face suddenly lit up.
Hmm...wonder why she's so excited, no text can make someone THAT happy. Unless like a rich guy just texted her and gave her a gazillion dollars. That would make me happy, a gazillion doll hairs, er uh dollars...wait is gazilllion even a WORD?! Geez! Earth to Selah, WAKE UP! Selah jerked her head up again and just in time to hear what Skii was saying.
"Oh my God! Yep I got a dorm. So, you know if you need a place to chill and.... sleep you can go there. I just want to finish cleaning up here."
Ohhh, that's why she looked so happy. I wonder if I got a dorm yet, I should check. Yup that's what I'll do, but I'll have Skii go with me since I'm kinda too sleeeeeppppyyyy to talk that much. Oh wait, I should probably answer her, which means I need to wake up. Wake up! c'mon! Wakey, Wakey, Selah hit her cheek twice, which woke her up, There that's better, so now let me answer Skii.
"My major is in Photography, and I'd love to slee-er go see your dorm. But do you mind if we stop to see what my dorm is really quick? Maybe then I can just sleep there," Selah's eyes started to close, but she quickly woke herself up. "Sorry, I don't know why I'm so tired, I'm not normally like this. Actually, normally I'm wide awake at night and sort of tired during the day. I don't know why I feel so tired, I'm not normally like this. Actually, normally I'm wide awake at--...Wait, I just said that. Sorry, again, I just got really tired all of a sudden, and," Selah started to fall asleep again, but jerked herself up. "Sorry, again, again, I think I just need some sleep, like a few minutes. So, do you think before you leave you can wake me up? Then I should be fine...oh and if you ever need a jacket I can let you borrow one of mine, I have this really cute one...atleast I think it's really cute," Selah started to mumble and made no sense as she started to fall asleep, "Oh wait...maybe you wouldn't like it, I dunno. I'll show it you som-" Selah yawned in the middle of her sentence, but didn't notice, "anyways just wake me up soon, before you leave, thanks."
Selah finally fell asleep, but her dreams weren't pleasant, no, they were filled with weird and strange things. "Why are you here? I thought I got rid of you in my last dream. You can't hurt me now, I'm older and smarter. I know what to do if you come back!" Selah yelled, in her dream, as the great wall of fire came toward her.
"But, Selah, you know you love me. Don't you remember setting all those things on fire? Even when you remembered what happened to your family? You loved me then and you still love me," the wall of fire answered back.
Selah ran away from it, "No! I don't love you. You took away everything I loved. Why would I love you? I hate you! I hate you," Selah tripped on a branch (as people often do in nightmares).
"Ah, are you so sure of that Selah, so sure you don't," The wall of fire suddenly changed shape into Selah's mother, "love me, Selah girl?"
"Mom? Mom! I didn't remember what you looked like, but now...I do, how did you get here?" Selah forgot she was in a dream, and forgot that her mom was dead.
"Of course you remembered what I look like, how else would you have recognized me? You certainly have grown up, and you look so much like me," the wall of fire/Selah's mom said, and coaxed Selah toward it.
"Oh, Mom, I've missed you so much," Selah started to cry, and walked toward the wall of fire disguised as her mom. "Why did you leave? I was so alone for so long, and then when I shifted I was so scared, I've thought of you so much. I've needed you so much, why did you leave me?"
"Selah girl, I'm here now, and that's all that matters, right?" the wall of fire disguised as Selah's mom beckoned her forward, its arms extended.
"Right," Selah embraced what she thought was her mom, "I've missed you. Wait...Mom, why do you smell weird?"
Suddenly what Selah thought was her mother changed back into the wall of fire, "Did you really think your mommy was back? She's dead Selah, she's never coming back. And you're all alone, you'll always be alone," it's booming voice surrounded Selah, and slowly started to burn her in her dream. "No one will ever love you, that's something you just have to accept. Maybe if you loved me, everything would be better...but you had your chance. Now, you're mine. Mmmmmm, smell that? That's exactly what your mommy, daddy, and siblings smelt. Smells like death, doesn't it?" The wall of fire began to laugh as Selah screamed
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Selah screamed, waking herself up from her nightmare.

Skii listened and tried to keep from laughing at everything Selah was saying. Skii had finished sweeping everything back up in a pile and was able to maneuver it into the dust pan. She had walked over and placed the broom in it's rightful place behind stage and put the dust pan on the table near her bag.
Skii watched Selah sleep laughing as she seemed to be having a trivial dream. Skii shrugged and gathered all her stuff back into her bag. She let Selah sleep for a bit as she tried to remember just where the trash can was to dump the dust from the dust pan in.
Skii then dug through her bag again finding her IPod and shoving the ear buds in her eye flipping through to find Legally Blonde The Musical playing in her ears. Seeing my name up on that list That beats the first time that we kissed You thought I was dumb But I think that somebody's judgement was poor Seeing my name in black and white It's like making love with you all night NO WAIT! It feels so much better
Skii laughed loving this song. She sang along and sat next to where Selah was thinking about being in Wicked or some other musical. She smiled content with just being in the moment almost nodding off her self when suddenly.. "Ahhhhhhh!"
Skii jerked awake. Standing up quickly looking at Selah who had made the sound. Skii didn't notice that her Ipods ear phones had fallen out of her ears and had tumbled to the floor.
"Are you okay? Did something happen? Oh my god you scared me!" Skii's eye's grew wide but she quickly regained her thoughts. She picked up her Ipod and pushed down her animal instinct.
"Are you all right?"

"Are you okay? Did something happen? Oh my god you scared me!"
Selah still smelt that horrible burning smell, That seemed so real, she tried not to start crying, So, so real. it's like my mom was really there, really with me...Mom.
"Are you all right?"
Selah realized Skii was talking to her, "Uh, yeah sorry. I'm fine, perfectly...fine," it wasn't a lie, Selah was fine...sort of. Selah felt the wall of fire closing in on her, she could still hear it's voice, she could still hear her mom's voice. Selah could still picture her mom's face, and she wondered if that's what her mom really looked like, if that was really her mom's voice that she had somehow remembered from twelve years ago.
I'm definitely awake now. God, why did I have that dream? I haven't had a bad dream in months...well I haven't remembered a dream in months. It seemed so real, so so so real. How a wall of fire can talk I have no idea...but that was Mom, not Dad, not Lily, not James, or Jenny, or even Rose. it was Mom. My mom, she had called me 'Selah girl' which I think I remember her calling me that. It WAS a dream, how could I have just made all that up? My sub-conscious must remember something, I just need to find a way to get to it. Why can't I think? Selah got up, not paying much attention to what Skii was doing, There must be some way to remember...some way, but how? How can I remember them? I swear that was my mother, how else could I have recognized her? I mean, yes it was MY dream, but still, how could I have just made up that face...that familiar face, that familiar voice. If it wasn't her then where have I seen that face before? Ugh! Why can't I remember, why?!? This isn't fair, Selah sat back down, getting frustrated, So many people can remember their families, so why can’t I? What’s wrong with me? Why did God have to take them away? Why?!? It’s just…not fair. This dream is making me so much more curious as to what they looked like. I wonder if Skii is as messed up as me. I wonder if she remembers her family. I wonder if she has a family. I would almost give anything to go back and meet my family, to keep my family…to have a picture, to remember something besides the little things I know! It’s just…it’s not fair! Tears started to form in Selah’s eyes, the dream, and her life, finally getting to her. But Selah wasn’t one to cry, especially in public. I need to run, I need to do something…get away from here, get away from everything. This isn’t right, this isn’t fair! My mind is going every which way, I don’t know what to feel…Skii probably thinks I’m a freak, screaming in my sleep, talking stupidly. I just…I can’t handle this. I can’t handle emotions, I’m unstable, I’m not ready for this. I’m not prepared to feel right now. I’ve already gotten really mad tonight, I already almost hurt someone. I don’t want that to happen with me and Skii, I kind of like her. I just…I don’t know what to do. Selah ran her hand through her hair, she did this when she was nervous and when she was confused, I need someone…someone who cares. I just…I need some comfort. I need to run, I need to shift, I need to do something[/b] that gets me away from here. I don’t know what to do…. I need to calm down and I need to find my dorm.[/i]
Selah stood up,ran her hands through her hair, "So, ready to go?"

Skii watched Selah stand up and adjust from the sleep. "Uh, yeah sorry. I'm fine, perfectly...fine,"
for some reason Skii didn't believe her and wondered what her dream was about. Skii sighed slightly sad she didn't remember her dreams Some of the classics came from the writer's dream. Then Skii smiled realized that other great works also came from the writer's minds when they were either drunk or on drugs. She shook her head and tugged on her hair thinking. So many ideas circled in her head. She could almost never write down everything that was in there. She wondered if she would ever finish any of it???
"So, ready to go?" Skii watched Selah stand and run her fingers through her hair. Skii wondered what had been going through her mind. She also seemed in such a big rush.
Skii went to her bag and slung it over her shoulder. Then smoothed out her shirt. She searched the auditorium for other people then dug in her bag for a pony tail holder to twist her hair to in a bun with. She found one and twisted her hair to get it off her neck. She bit her lip and looked at her phone. It was quite late.
"Uh ya sure..." Skii replied to what Selah had asked. She still wondered about Selah's dream and wondered if she had the right to ask her. "Hey, if you don't mind me asking what was your dream about it seemed to really disturb you."
Skii looked back at the table and fond a pencil roll off of it. She stopped and ran back picking it up. She mumbled a curse under her breath seeing that the lead had broken. She shoved it in her bag and scanned the room again making sure everything was in it's place.
"Sorry, I had to get that. I have a thing for organization!"

- "Uh ya sure...Hey, if you don't mind me asking what was your dream about it seemed to really disturb you…..Sorry, I had to get that. I have a thing for organization!”Selah watched Skii pick up the pencil, pondering what she should tell Skii. She didn’t know if she should tell her the truth; even as Selah was debating this she was losing parts of the nightmare. “Oh…um…I can’t really remember it anymore, but I think I just like fell off a cliff or something,” she decided to lie, yes, she was forgetting parts of it, but she remembered enough to know the basics about it. Her mother, the fire, Selah Girl , the basics…but not why she had had that nightmare. Selah loved the stage and she loved the Concert Hall the school had, but something in her just wanted to leave, to get away from where she had had the horrible dream. Something in Selah’s mind told her that if she was far away from she had been sleeping when she dreamt it the more it wouldn’t seem real. Selah could still smell that horrible smell, she could still hear her mom’s voice, see her face. She looked like her mom, if that was even her mom. Selah still wasn’t completely sure she hadn’t just taken some one else’s face to use as her mom’s in her dream. She was three when she lost her family, how could she remember them? But still, something inside Selah had hope. Hope that that was her mom’s face, and voice. Hope that she could remember more than the little pieces she had been forcing herself to remember since they died. Yes, she was three years old when she lost her family, but maybe some where deep inside her she could remember them, remember everything. Selah pulled her fingers through her hair and realized she hadn’t said anything for a while, and Skii must be wondering why she was just staring off into space. “So, um…let’s go? I need to find my dorm, and I’m sure you’re ready to meet your new room mates and see your new place,” Selah started to walk toward the back. “Ready?” Selah was wide awake now, her shoulders were back her strides were confident. She may have seemed perfectly fine, but her mind was racing with thoughts of her dream/nightmare. She wondered if the school had any records of her family, or if the library on the other island did. She wanted to know, and soon she felt like she needed to know. After all, it was her family. A family she couldn’t remember, but suddenly she remembered more bits and pieces. Some one, some where, had to have a photo of her family, an article. It’s not like they just disappeared. She had never really tried to look before, because before she hadn’t known that she could look. Slowly, something inside Selah drove her to slowly change all of her thoughts toward her family. She wanted to know more, she had to. Selah stopped walking and waited for Skii to join her. She may have been consumed by thoughts of her family, but she wasn’t going to be so rude as to ignore Skii who hadn’t been rude to her. She waited for Skii, still thinking about her family, still thinking about how she was going to find out about them. [clothes: www.polyvore.com/nighttime_strole/set?id=20003443 ]

“So, um…let’s go? I need to find my dorm, and I’m sure you’re ready to meet your new room mates and see your new place. Ready?”Skii looked at Selah and saw something was wrong, but she didn't push the issue. Instead she made sure she had all her stuff and figured it was ready for them to go...
"Ya I'm ready. I hope I have good room mates ya know..."
Skii flung her bag over her shoulder and dug through it for her ipod. She figured Selah wouldn't mind if she listened to music as they walked.
"OH hold on a minute I gotta check something.."
Skii ran back to the stage when the pair of them reached the Concert halls door. Skii had needed to put some of her cleaning stuff back in it's hiding spot so the janitor wouldn't see it...
When she got back to where Selah was standing she was listening to the Wiz and it happened to be the songTornado.
She laughed and changed the song not in the mood for an instrumental song to something more exciting like Feed me Seymore.
She walked back to where Selah was waiting and opened the door to outside. The day had darkened and the wind had picked up... Maybe that was because it was night. Skii wasn't use to living so close to the beach. She shook it off and walked with Selah to the dorms. On the way there the rain was beginning to pick up and something inside Skii told her to run and hide and find cover.
Skii decided to shake it off hoping that everything was going to be fine outside. She flipped around and touched the scar on her shoulder. She felt the ocelot in her growl a little as the rain bean to pelt her skin.
Skii cursed a little under her breath knowing her hair must be screwing up. She ran faster wishing she had worn flats and a jacket.
"Hey let's hurry a think a storm may be coming..."
