Heya, I'm writing a book called Seedling, which is about a disabled sixteen year old called Justin and his twin who move in with Dad #4 and discover that not everyone is exactly human....
Here is the pilot synopsis and some ideas of mine. Lemme know what you think,
Thanks.
Pilot Synopsis:
Justin has just moved to Alton to live with father number four, Ethan Henley. Out of all his fathers, Justin has always liked Ethan so that won’t be a huge problem. Problem is that his mum seems very insistent that he move to Malta with father number five, something which he doesn’t find very appealing. Luckily, his twin brother Ant shares the same sentiment as him and moves in too, to keep Justin company. Everything seems pretty boring in Alton at first and Justin wonders whether it was such a good idea to do the move...that is until he meets them.
After having seen one of his friends shape-shift into a wolf, Justin finds himself in the unknown and lands himself into situations that he has never imagined and his life intertwines to a life that he cannot escape. Soon, there are rumours spreading about an old power returning. Justin, Ant and their paranormal friends must find a way to destroy the Djinn before he can find the Lamp of Aladdin and put all of humanity inside it.
Concept:
Justin and Ant are actually immortal people who were recently reawakened. Ant was the Lupine King and ruled his people in the Valley of Lunar Howling while Justin was the King of Uridine, an empire that was ruled fairly and was known for its music and powered-people.

Characters: Justin Grant Justin Grant is the main protagonist in the book. Born with mild Cerebral Palsy - Spaticquadriplegia - he is able to walk holding someone's hand and is working towards walking unaided. Justin moves with his twin brother, Ant, to live with Dad#4, Ethan Henley. Two months in, he discovers that he has the power to astral project, or rather - Dream Fly/Walk. Ant Grant Ant is Justin's twin brother and is the muscle-bound-girls-swoon-over-him sort of guy. He moves in with Justin to keep him company and is rather close with his twin. He's somehow involved in Justin's new adventures in the world of the magical and paranormal. Dorinda Ingleby Justin's proud African-American female best friend who just happens to be a Truth-Seer. She's in Justin's Drama and English Lit classes. After Justin discovers his ability, she helps adjust and helps him on his adventures. She tends to withhold information until she feels it necessary to tell. Liam O'Grady Justin's best male friend and an Irishman. He's a Psychic who has visions of the future, which usually involve cataclysmic and unfortunate events. After Justin discovers his ability, Liam helps him adjust and helps on his new adventures. Ella Bridgens The mysterious and beutiful girl who's in Justin's Drama Class. She hangs out with Dorinda and her cousin, Cherry a lot. She and Justin are good friends but is there something more going on? Oh, and did I mention that she's a Fairy with attitude? Ethan Henley Justin and Ant's Dad #4, who lives in quiet Alton, Hampshire, England. He's a gym instructor and like, Ant, makes the woman and girls swoon. But is Ethan exactly normal?..... Cherry Dayspring Ella's cousin and just as mysterious and alluring as her cousin. she's another type of Fairy - a Night Fairy. But seriously, don't make her angry or the dreams you have won't be very nice. Arya Jansen The Kristen-Bell-lookalike. She goes to another college but meets up with Cherry and Ella regularly. She's the first person that Justin met when he first moved in. She's a shape-shifter - she can shift into a large white wolf.

I think the plot is great and it's a book I would love to read. And the characters are great. But there's one thing I confused about. It's the # of dads they have I don't really get it?

Well, Justin has had 4 Dads now. His mum married a Maltese man and moved to Malta so he technically now has 5 Dads

Oh man! With twins you should make it more interesting -- say that without Ant, Justin can't astral project because Ant is the 'anchor' that keeps him grounded. Without him, he could lose himself in etherpace. So it'll make the twins the center point, more than they already are (since you have a harem-esque of friends trailing behind). It'll really bring how close these two guys are. Especially since they're twins. A lot of paranormal powers tend to revolve around the Gemini (hell! You could use the story of the gemini to apply to these twins) especially if they're supposed to be some major deities of sorts. But that brings up the question, was the father the catalyst? Or was it just luck that these two were born? The kingdoms themselves seem a little far fetched -- perhaps you wanna go into mythology, since you're using the Djinn already?
I think you need a little more on mysterious dad numba one - because that's who I assume is Justin and Ant's true father -- which would be the genetic source of their powers. Perhaps he's this big bad sidhe? Which would make sense if Ant attracts the ladies -- you can make it almost eerie how women are drawn to him, and not simply because of his looks.
Food for thought. I think this is very interesting -- however, you want to flesh out the marriage between the Muslim Q'oran and the paranormal beings you have. Faeries are Irish. Foresight is pretty moldable to any sort of religion. The Sidhe are Irish as well (but that was my suggestion so it's pretty moot), 'powered-people' is pretty vague but that seems to go along with what a Sidhe is, and shifters originated in Transylvania, didn't they? Just saying.
On the whole, I like the idea behind it. I fucking love Djinn. (hah, maybe one of your characters should be Soloman reborn!) XD Or make one of the twins female and have her be reborn as "Queen of Sheba" Now my muse is going nuts so you can probably ignore this last paragraph. My enthusiasm for the Q'uran and it's creative potential drive me nuts.

o.o wow, a lot to think about and some stuff I didn't know about either, like the Sidhe. My idea is that Justin meets various magical creatures, becoming knowledgeable as time passes.
