- Being told he’s “too young” to do something
- Depression
- Worrying too much
- People who boast- especially about strength
- Jaguars nearing extinction status
- Killers –humans killing humans, humans killing animals
Fears:
- Extinction: Quite simply, he’s afraid of this because then he can never show his true form around a place with the slightest risk of being caught. It could cause a huge uproar if Jaguars were to said to be extinct, but next thing they know they’re looking at one.
- Losing people he cares about: Well, it’s a common fear for most people.
- The feeling of fear: Luke hates the feeling he starts to get when he’s afraid.
- Being Killed in animal form: Nobody would ever know it was him.
Strengths:
- Strength: In both human and Jaguar form he’s strong.
- Luke doesn’t live up to the bulkiness of the Jaguar for a reason. He doesn’t appear to be as observant as a Jaguar either. But that’s just the illusion he tries to put on. He uses this as strength to try and fool other people.
- Jaguar Skills: Jaguars are good at stalking and ambushing their prey and they have great night vision. They also have a very strong jaw.
- Confidence
Weaknesses:
- Territory “Lust”: Jaguars constantly expand their territory, so the need to have his own space as a human comes from this. Luke tries to leave this bad habit only to his part of the bedroom.
- Originality: He likes unique people who aren’t afraid to express themselves.
- Trust Issues: He can make friends fine and hang out with them as if it’s nothing. But there are a lot of things he won’t tell, even a friend. Only best friends (and those closer) know everything about him.
Overall: [400 words minimum]
There are a lot of people who don’t seem to understand Luke very well. His personality, at times, can be very ironic or contradictive. One thing that people don’t understand about him is that he’s a survivor. He doesn’t always know when to quit at something and will usually do whatever it takes to survive. That being said, he isn’t always willing to help others unless it’s someone he has some type of interest in. He also can force himself to adapt to whatever he has to, if it pertains to his survival.
The Jaguar in him is a patient animal, so the trait carries over to him as a human. However, Luke does have his impatient times. He’s a careful and responsible person as well. He usually will try to the best of his ability and can admit the mistakes he makes. Despite being able to admit his mistakes, that doesn’t mean it’s easy for him to do it. Normally he has to force himself to do it, but he does it because in the end it makes him feel better. It also reminds him of how much he doesn’t want to mess up the next time. Usually this makes him try harder, but doesn’t make him feel any better if he fails again.
Luke is also quite the joker. They’re not always the jokes that make people laugh, as he usually makes jokes to calm him down or to hide his own embarrassment. He uses them a lot when he wants to make something seem like it isn’t as bad as it really is. A lot of people also like to think that he has multiple personalities because of the way he dresses. But in Luke’s eyes, this isn’t true. He doesn’t see them as separate personalities, but all of them as a part of himself. Each one is like a small portion of himself. Sometimes his clothes reflect however he’s feeling at the time, but mostly they have no significant meaning, other than the fact that he just wants to wear them.
One special part of his personality is that’s he really observant. Most of the time he doesn’t come off to be, because he’s playful and likes to have fun. Sometimes he appears to be so caught up in the fun, that if someone walked in and shot someone, he wouldn’t even notice. But that wouldn’t be true. He tries to use that as an advantage on his part. Luke likes spying on people and going on adventures. He likes the thrills and the risks of getting caught doing something he shouldn’t be doing. Sometimes he even finds it fun to get caught, because when he does get caught, he usually finds it fun to try and escape.
Even though he has some qualities that symbolize a troublemaker, he can be a nice person when he wants to be. He’s a loyal friend in the end, and even though he likes to spy on other people and will sometimes share whatever he saw or heard, he wouldn’t do that to his friends. What kind of friend would he be if he told his own friends secrets? Not one at all and people can lose friends quickly by breaking that trust. Despite the jaguar inside of him being somewhat of a loner, the human part of Luke needed friends.
...appearance

Celebrity Play By:Luke Worrall
Appearance: [400 words minimum]
Luke’s original hair color is brown, but he usually dyes it blonde. Sometimes he lets his hair grow out and sometimes he likes to keep it shorter, depending on how he feels. The style of his hair usually varies greatly. Sometimes it spiked up, other times it’s combed down. When he’s in a rush, he just has bed hair -which is usually just a messy style anyways. His eyes are blue, usually semi-dark but at times seem to be lighter than usual. He still somewhat has his baby face, although it’s somewhat hard to notice from a side view. Both of his ears are pierced, but he usually only has an earring in his left ear, and he has his lip pierced.
He does work out at times, so he has a slight muscular build, but not that of a Jaguar’s. To keep his “identity” hidden to strangers, he doesn’t work out as much as he should. Luke is actually fair skinned. It is possible for him to tan some, even with his usual light skin, but it isn’t very easy for him to get it. Even though he likes being outside a lot, he spends a lot of time in the forest. So he’s in the shade quite a bit when in there, so the sun can’t tan his skin.
As mentioned in his personality, he likes to wear all sorts of outfits. Luke is very fond of hats and sunglasses. He wears different types of shirts, vests, jackets, shorts, pants, and shoes. He’ll try on just about anything at least once. He isn’t afraid to wear different colors, dark or bright. The things most people don’t like to wear, he likes to wear. The reason for this is because it keeps him more unique with his clothing style.
His Jaguar form looks much like a cheetah at a first glance. When transformed, he has tawny colored fur with black rosettes on his back and a single spot on his back. The biggest distinction is the irregular pattern that a Jaguar has, unlike a cheetah. They’re also stockier than a cheetah, but Luke would have to admit his own shift into a jaguar almost isn’t stocky enough to look like a jaguar. His own fur is a lighter tawny color than some other Jaguars, probably to compensate for his light skin color in human form. In this form, he’s almost 5.7 feet in length. His tail alone adds on 23 inches.
...history
Parents: Ella Bowers and Travis Bowers
Siblings: Toby Bowers
[400 words minimum]
Luke Bowers lived with his family in Arizona. He lived with his mother and father, Ella and Travis Bowers. They lived in a house with three different bedrooms, although one was being used as an office. Eventually they were going to try for another child and make the office into another bedroom. They were a middle class family, but didn’t have much spare money. The idea in his family’s household was to never keep secrets from one another. That’s how they were to keep their trust.
Luke hadn’t been told about the shifting before. It was really too bad, because it first happened on his way to school. He was walking, as usual, because he didn’t like taking the bus. This morning he had happened to take a shortcut someone had told him about, that would save him a few minutes of walking. At first he had wondered why it appeared to be so empty, but that’s because it was a back route. It was secluded, and if someone were to jump you, there was a ninety percent chance that nobody would ever notice. But he took it anyways. Not because the thought he could take on anybody who would attack him, but just because he thought he was being paranoid. He convinced himself that nobody was going to jump him.
While he had been walking down the shortcut, he just got the feeling something weird was going on. But he didn’t know what; he brushed it off and kept walking. When he heard a noise that sounded like a pop, he stopped in shock. His bones were popping out of place, although at the time he was confused. He didn’t know they were shifting – he only felt pain. It brought him to his knees. He didn’t know what to say or do. He didn’t even know what was happening. Only when he could feel his face shifting and his eyes got blurry for a moment, did he realize that something else was happening to him as well. As his eyes came back into focus, they fell onto his hands, or rather his paws. His body was transforming into something. An animal. A Jaguar.
The pain was replaced with fear when he stopped shifting. Not only his fear as a human, but that of the Jaguars too. The Jaguar was ready to bolt and he had no idea how to stop it. He jumped onto a wall and ran through the small patch of woods. Everywhere there were humans, the Jaguar ran the other direction. Luke didn’t know how to stop it, but put every ounce of energy he had into trying to calm himself down. At the time, he didn’t think calming himself down was the same as calming the animal down as well. He tried to lead himself towards his house and finally collapsed in his back yard. Attempting to control the animal had taken a lot of his energy. He was breathing hard and laid there, trying to catch it back. He noticed his paw transforming, slowly into a recognizable hand. The fur was being replaced with his skin again. He grimaced, setting himself ready for the same pain he had felt before when it had started.
As the transformation ended, he noticed he was human again. He didn’t know how it had happened, but he was…normal again. At least he appeared to be. Luke jumped to his feet and ran through the back door to explain everything to his mom. She was the only one home at the time. When he had finished, he was surprised she understood anything he had said. Half of his word had been jumbled up. That was until she explained to him how transforming was normal for them. More mixed emotions pounced on him: shock, fear, anger. So much for not keeping secrets from one another, even if they claimed it was to protect him. He knew that line. Everybody used it. From there he was sent off to Shifter Academy after his parents heard about his strain to control the Jaguar. Ever since his first shift, he could feel the animal inside of him. Always reminding him it was still there. Waiting to come out.
...connecting human to animal
[One Paragraph Minimum (Can be point form)]
There are many reasons Luke can be connected to a Jaguar. First off, no matter what his skin color is, it will fit the Jaguar. Although his is light, so when he shifts, he has a lighter tawny fur color. Although he isn’t built like a wrestler, he still has enough muscle for a Jaguar. His personality also matches that of a Jaguar. He’s observant, patient, and he’s smart. He likes being outside a night, which is a Jaguar’s favorite time. He likes being sneaky, which a Jaguar does well, and like them, he likes his own space. Unless they’re friends, he doesn’t like people messing around on his half of the room or with his stuff.

What was the Library like on a Thursday evening? Crowded to say the least. Especially so late in the year, when the homework was always piled on. Except this time, for some reason, Sy had been expecting less homework, and every time he did, he always got more. A lot more. Which was why he was sitting at a table with two books stacked on top of each other and another book propped up. Laid out in front of him was a stack of parchment that he had been scribbling on for the past half hour. And that was more than enough homework, because he was already beginning to get bored with it. Sy was still on his first assignment, and there were three different assignments altogether. Two essays and one reading assignment. He wasn't the most focused person in the world at the moment either. Poppy was always on his mind nowadays, even when he really tried to push her out of his thoughts long enough to do his homework.
Not to mention all of the tests and quizzes he had coming up, that he was hardly prepared for. Maybe it had been a mistake to make him Head Boy, because he didn't set very good examples. Though maybe it was just because he knew everything he had done, and nobody else seemed to realize anything. Which was good because he didn't want to lose his Head position. He enjoyed the little more freedom it gave too much to have it taken away. But the very thing that would get it taken away from him was also one of the things he enjoyed in the most, and the exact thing that would have rumors spreading around and have most of his family mad at him. Not that he valued their opinion as much as he should, but when you were constantly reminded that lying was bad, and you shouldn't have sex before marriage, and use good manners, it got old. That was how he had earned his reputation anyways. Trying to listen to his parents all the time. Except for getting his haircut like they wanted, which he absolutely refused to do. And the sex before marriage was completely blown, but it didn't bother him any.
Sy glanced up from his paper and looked around the room. Anything to look at but his paper. He hadn't seen it this crowded in a long time, though. Most of the tables were taken with at least three people at them. All of the furniture was taken up, and there were a lot of students still walking around the book cases to find books for homework. At least he assumed everybody in there was in there because of homework. If he was going to just read, he would check out a book and take it back to his tower, because there was no way he could do leisure reading in a loud place such as the library. Well, that was until the librarian took it upon herself to make everybody be quiet. And that took a lot of loud yelling in order for it to work. How ironic. Sy had never thought it was the Head's or Prefects jobs to make people in the library be quiet. He had always seen it as a librarian thing. Rubbing his eyes, he glanced down at his paper to notice he had written the same sentence twice. When summer decided it wanted to start coming around, it was welcome to any time now.
