"Theater major, huh? I do theater at the school, though, as you know, it's not my major. I'm more of an improv guy then anything. It's more natural for me. I can sing, but I'm not the best. Usually I like playing characters that make the crowd laugh." Skii looked at Zero and could see him acting funny. He would be good in The Wedding singer or a musical like that... Maybe if he was older he could play the wizard. She smiled at the thought. All of her thoughts seemed to go back to Wicked right now. Though she could also see him as a Frank maybe in Annie get Your Gun.No! Wait she found the perfect character for him... Sir Harry
from Once Upon a Mattress! Skii walked over and placed the sand dollar on her bag..... She laughed some as she pictured Zero in tights. "One time I learned to juggle, just so I could get this one part. Landed the audition, and I got in. A theater major would be fun. There was a time I seriously thought about going into theater professionally but I'm happy with the choice I've made. I think after awhile I'd get tired of the lights. Besides, I wouldn't want to get paid for something like that. It wouldn't feel right for me."Skii knew she couldn't chase bad guys or really do anything domestic. She was good at cleaning.. actually it was kind of an obsession for her./ She had learned from her sisters and really made her feel close to them even though for almost all of their lives they lived separated from each other. Skii remembered her dad again and how awful he was to her. How he wanted her to steal and lie... Well, thats why Zero was doing what he did.. Skii once thought she could make a difference doing something but her her father always told her to do the opposite. Now, Skii was hiding in a career she didn't find practical. But, Skii liked what she did. She liked the stage it made her feel comfortable. "Here," Zero had broken Skii's thought process and she was kind of glad though. She looked at him seeing what he would do. "Let me show you."Skii watched as zero juggled . She laughed and clapped even though he started off a little slow. She enjoyed watching him. It was something she really couldn't do. Skii realized she really was having a good time with him which some how made her blush. "Took me awhile to learn it But it was worth it. I had the motivation, anyway. Haven't practiced in awhile. It really has been a long time. I believe it was several year ago, when I first came to Shifter's Academy."Zero told her through breaths. She found it kind of funny that juggling could take so much out of a person... She figured it would be easy. Ski shrugged and was happy for a show. When Zero finished she clapped loudly to show her appreciation. "What made you go into theater? As a major I mean."Skii had been content with Zero doing all the talking. She was caught off guard by his direct question. She placed her hand on her cheek as she thought. "Well really... I can't do anything else. I.. I was put into classes and shows when I was younger by my..." Ski's face contorted a bit not knowing yet how to word what she was going to say about her father. She had never really told any one she was brought up... well evil. "My father for different reasons than you think." Skii laughed. placing her hands now on her hip because she was more comfortable. "And I liked it more than anything. More than what my Father wanted me too but I found I was a natural. Plus the stage felt more at home then home did." Skii pulled all her weight on to her toes. The sand found it's way between her toes and filled the spaces. She looked down at her feet remembering home and that her siblings were still with her father. She shook her head the thoughts of home still came though. Of how only herself and her dad knew that her older brother wasn't missing but dead. Skii raised a hand to the bottom of her eye hoping not to draw attention to how upset she had become.

Zero grew aware that he had made Skii a little uncomfortable. "We'll probably see each other at the theater ever so often. I'm more serious about my swim team, so I might have to drop theater soon if things get too hectic. Especially with work. I love performing. Making people laugh is fun. I hate playing serious characters, they just aren't for me. I'm the clown on stage, and a troublemaker. I remember pouring a bucket of water over the lead actor on out last performance last year during the show, when he as confessing his love to the female lead. It was great. Worked out really well, actually. I suspected the director would kick me out of theater forever for that, but to my surprise he was too busy laughing his head off to scold me. Very unusual for him. I was lucky to get by with that." Thunder rolled in the distance, and raindrops began to dance around them. Zero whipped away the droplets collecting on his skin, but the effort to stay dry was useless as the rain became heavier.
"Come on," urged Zero, pulling Skii up and grabbing his board. He held it over their heads and started up the beach. Lightning flashed with uncontrolled energy in the sky, it's tongues of fire laughing as they shattered the tranquility Zero had been enjoying. Why did it have to rain today of all days? Zero continued to hold the surfboard above their heads even though they were in the trees. He grabbed his remaining belongings he had left by the tree before continuing. "Do you have everything?" he asked Skii. The wind had picked up a great deal. It howled in Zero's ears, making him as good as deaf. He had to tighten his grip on his board to keep it from flying off. He clenched his teeth. The waves had turned extremely rough. It was hard to believe that moments ago, this place was calm and relaxing. Things had changed so fast, it was almost hard to believe. The wind stung Zero's eyes, and he blinked to try to regain some sort of vision.
"How are you holding up?" he called to Skii, looking over his shoulder. He was more concerned for her then himself. He wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Thread Title Skii watched the ocean while Zero talked. She watched as clouds began to roll in. Soon the blue sky was filled with black ominous clouds. Something inside her screamed run but she didn’t listen She seemed to be having too much fun. Skii sat as the waves grew higher and the rain started. At first the rain was barely falling but Skii had a feeling the pitter pat of the rain was going to grow into the crashing and splashing of giant drops of water. Skii gathered all of her stuff up in her lap scared her papers were going to get wet. Skii would hate for all her hard work to melt away in the rain. She chewed on the inside of her cheek. Though the rain wasn’t that cold Skii still shivered. She was barely wearing clothes and so much of her skin was showing. She was so wet the wind and the rain made her cold even if separately the two elements weren’t. “Come on,”Zero pulled Skii to her feet. The storm had left her in a trance and all she could do was go along with it. She clutched her bag to her chest. Zero led the way his surf board hovering over their heads trying to keep them dry. It was useless though. There was wind along with the rain making it fall sideways. Lightning began to flash along with the rain. The sky lit up with streaks of gold colored lightning. Skii squeaked at a loud boom of thunder seem to make her entire body shake. The storm was making Skii scared. She would have not known what to do or where to go if Zero hadn’t been pulling her along. Skii felt his hand pulling her along and dragging her inbetween all the rain drops it made Skii smile some. Then they stopped. Skii looked out at the ocean. It was hard to see the rain was falling so hard it made the world look like a blur. Skii could see the ocean though. The waves were so high and crashing against the shore. They seemed to be fighting the sand unlike before when they were merely kissing it. Skii hugged her bag close to her chest. She was somewhat glad her hair was in a braid. Otherwise her hair would be whipping around in her face and by the toughness of the wind she figured they would hurt. “Do you have everything?”Skii could barely hear him talk. The wind was so strong. She had never lived by an ocean. She grew up near the woods and a small stream. Not an ocean. She had seen a bad storm or two but this storm seemed different. It was happening so quickly and it was so strong. Skii shivered again. She shivered against the cold and against the fright of what was happening. Something deep inside of her was clawing at her insides. Skii just couldn’t put her finger on it. She didn’t understand what was so wrong with her… “How are you holding up?”Zero spoke again. This time Skii looked up at him. Then she looked out at where they had been talking. The waves were licking at where her toes had been. Then she remembered. She looked at her bag then at Zero. The sand dollar he had given her was still out there. She shook her head but didn’t think she wanted that sand dollar. She shoved her bag at Zero hoping he wouldn’t let it fall to the ground. Skii ran out into the storm again to get her sand dollar. The wind was so strong she was slowed. The storm was relentless as she ran to where she had sat but when she got there she couldn’t see the white of the sand dollar instead, the waves began to tug at her ankles. She could feel herself being dragged back into the oceans grasp with no way to get her out. Skii began to panic. The wind was pushing her in every direction and the ocean was pulling her into it’s grasps. She had never been afraid of anything before, but right now she was scared. Skii tried to move to run back to Zero, she knew she was stupid coming back. But she didn’t get any where. Instead she fell into the sand. Skii could only scream. When Skii didn't respond to his question, Zero began to worry. He looked behind him again, in time to see Skii take off. Zero, afraid Skii would get hurt, tossed his surfboard aside and raced after her. He skid down the beach. Sand was flying everywhere. Zero held his arm up in an attempt to shield himself, but it was no use. His vision slightly impaired, Zero called out Skii's name in hope he would hear her. Zero's feet stung, but he was too distracted to notice. Then, Zero ehard a faint scream coming from the left of him. "Skii?" he called out, narrowing his eyes. He spotted Skii in the sand. She looked frightened, and terrified. Zero raced towards her, his feet slipping. The strong, cruel wind unbalanced Zero and knocked him off his feet. He crawled to Skii, and grabbing her hand, helped her up.
It was a challenge climbing back up the beach. Try as he might, the wind was far too aggressive and the sand too slippery. There was nothing to hold on to. His efforts to get back to safety were fruitless, and soon Zero found himself in despair. At least he had found Skii.
At last, they began to gain some ground. The winds were picking up. Zero didn't even think about his abandoned surfboard, which was most likely being thrown about in the wind. The ground beneath Zero's feet slowly changed from sand to dirt. Zero reached out and grabbed hold of a nearby tree, using it as support. He tried to catch his breath as he held on before moving forward. Trees whipped around, threatening to snap and crush the two teenagers. A branch broke off, crashing in front of the two. Zero barely managed to dodge it. He was suddenly aware of the fact that they could die in this hurricane. The thought terrified him.
Zero cursed under his breath, and, dragging Skii along, went around the branch and continued. Where could they go? The Academy was close, but not close enough. They couldn't possibly walk that far in a hurricane! As far as he knew, there were hardly any buildings around the beach area. He could hardly think with all the noise, let alone find a safe place to wade out the storm. Zero looked around, panic rising in his chest. There was no place to run.
